Opis:
The innovative technology, like thermal spraying with a micro-jet cooling is one of the important modification of classical ultrasonic spraying methods. Using of micro-stream with gases like argon or nitrogen allows to cool the coating immediately after spraying, and thereby reduce the time of transition during the injection of each layer. As a result of the process, the fine dispersive structure of coatings is obtained during the shorter time in comparable to the classical high velocity oxygen fuel process (HVOF). The parameter of process and the type of stream equipment determine the quality of the obtained structure and thermal stress in the coating. The article presents the relationship between selected parameters of hybrid process and properties of the coatings. The presented technology should be adapted to the actual production of protective coating for machines and construction working in wear conditions.

Opis:
The problem of asymptotic stability of models of 2D continuous-discrete linear systems is considered. Computer methods for investigation of asymptotic stability of the Fornasini-Marchesini type and the Roesser type models, are given. The methods proposed require computation of the eigenvalue-loci of complex matrices. Effectiveness of the stability tests are demonstrated on numerical examples.

The paper presents a simulation model of an unmanned vehicle propulsion system designed and constructed at the Laboratory of Internal Combustion Engines WAT. The vehicle was modelled in the software environment AMESim. It is intended as a tool for modelling of mechatronic systems, and therefore it was possible to create a link between mechanical parameters such as gears, with elements from the fields of electrical engineering and electronics, such as electric motors and inverters. Presented undercarriage system modelled the platform with 6x6 and independent drive wheels. Presented model of the hybrid structure of a small unmanned vehicle and sub models driver module and the propulsion module battery charging electric current through a combustion engine (generator controls, the switching of electric current battery capacity following a drop below the desired value - for this calculation was 50% of battery capacity). Characteristics of parameters changes of sets are presented. Simulation study for two batteries of different capacities as an example of the synthetic driving test and analyzed the differences between the foundation and set of characteristics. It was found that the higher-capacity battery could provide a better change of speed.

W pracy określono ilość uzyskanej energii z paneli fotowoltaicznych, zasilających aparaturę kontrolno pomiarową w tunelu ogrodniczym. Panele pracowały w hybrydowym systemie energetycznym pod stałym obciążeniem. Wyznaczono sprawność ogniw fotowoltaicznych, regulatora solarnego, inwertera, układu zasilającego aparaturę kontrolno pomiarową energią odnawialną. Określono ilość pozyskanej energii w okresie od czerwca do listopada, natężenie promieniowania oraz procentowy udział energii odnawialnej w ogólnym zużyciu energii elektrycznej. Ponadto obliczono ilość zaoszczędzonych środków finansowych stosując hybrydowy system zasilania.
The work determines the amount of energy obtained from solar panels supplying control and measurement equipment in the plastic tunnel. Panels were working in a hybrid power system under a constant load. The efficiency of photovoltaic cells, solar controller, inverter, The amount of the energy obtained during the period from June to November, the intensity of radiation and the percentage share of renewable energy in total consumption of electric energy was determined. Moreover, the amount of financial savings due to the use of hybrid power system was calculated.

Przeprowadzono analizę funkcjonowania w ciągu 10-ciu lat hybrydowej instalacji solarno-wiatrowej, zaopatrującej w energię elektryczną mały energooszczędny dom jednorodzinny, w warunkach klimatu Warszawy. Równocześnie obliczono zapotrzebowanie budynku na ciepło, przy wykorzystaniu danych pogodowych Typowego Roku Meteorologicznego, oraz energię na przygotowanie ciepłej wody użytkowej. Instalacja może dostarczyć średnio 75% potrzebnej energii elektrycznej i dodatkowo 26% energii na cwu.
Photovoltaic-wind hybrid system for the low energy small family house with four inhabitants has been analyzed, using 10-year hourly meteorological data for Warsaw. Energy demand for space heating has been calculated using the Typical Meteorological Year data, together with energy demand for domestic water heating. The system can deliver, on average, 75% of the necessary energy for electricity and 26% for water heating.

The article analyses the performance characteristics and operating costs of the three types of trolley-buses equipped with alternative energy sources, which are used by the MPK (Municipal Transport Company) in Lublin. The selected applications are adapted for driving off traction in emergency mode as well as servicing the regular route. Two of them are based on electrochemical batteries and one uses a system with an electric generator driven by an internal combustion engine.

The article presents a brief overview of hybrid energy systems used on ships. The area of their application is outlined. The benefits of using such systems are also indicated. Then, the classic ship power plant is defined. The most important part of the article is a proposal how to modify a classic engine room by using a hybrid energy system. The idea is: to accumulate a part of electricity in areas where it is allowed to burn fuel with high sulfur content (cheaper). Then, use the accumulated energy in areas where it is allowed to burn only fuel with low sulfur content (more expensive). The implementation of such an idea requires the use of a battery pack on the ship. At the end of the article, the initial estimation of savings on fuel costs is made.

Efficient diagnosis and prognosis of system faults depend on the ability to estimate the system state on the basis of noisy measurements of the system dynamic variables and parameters. The system dynamics is typically characterized by transitions among discrete modes of operation, each one giving rise to a specific continuous dynamics of evolution. The estimation of the state of these hybrid dynamic systems is a particularly challenging task because it requires keeping track of the transitions among the multiple modes of system dynamics corresponding to the different modes of operation. In this paper a Monte Carlo estimation method is illustrated with an application to a case study of literature which consists of a tank filled with liquid, whose level is autonomously maintained between two thresholds. The system behavior is controlled by discrete mode actuators, whose states are estimated by a Monte Carlo-based particle filter on the basis of noisy level and temperature measurements.

Opis:
The main aim of proposed article is the design of new software system for modelling and control of discrete‐event and hybrid systems using Arduino and similar microcontrollers. In this paper we propose a new tool. It is based on Petri nets and it is called PN2ARDUINO. It offers a capability of communication with the microcontroller. Communication with the microcontroller is based on modified Firmata protocol so control algorithm can be implemented on all microcontrollers that support this type of protocol. The developed software tool was successfully verified for control of laboratory systems. It can also be used for education and also for research purposes as it offers a graphical way for designing control algorithm for hybrid and mainly discrete‐event systems. Proposed tool can enrich education and practice in the field of cyberphysical systems (Industry 4.0).

Yeast two- and three-hybrid systems were used to screen cDNA libraries from HeLa cells and human brain tissue to identify novel protein partners of DNA Fragmentation Factor, the major apoptotic nuclease. The two-hybrid system revealed the DFF45 inhibitory subunit of the nuclease as the only identified partner of the DFF40 catalytic subunit. Similar analysis revealed several protein candidates that potentially interact with the DFF45 subunit: FBXO28, FOSL1, PGK1, PCNT, FHL1 and GFAP. Recombinant GFAP protected DFF45 against cleavage with caspase-3 and prevented activation of the DFF nuclease in vitro. In addition, three-hybrid system results revealed a putative novel protein partner of the DFF40-DFF45 heterodimer. The candidate cDNA contained two open reading frames that mapped to an intron of the GBF1 gene. Products of the candidate cDNA derived from a cell-free transcription/translation system inhibited DNA cleavage by recombinant caspase-activated DFF. This putative partner of DFF may have functional importance in regulating the apoptotic response because its RNAi silencing facilitated cleavage of the DFF45 inhibitor subunit and affected chromatin fragmentation in HeLa cells undergoing apoptosis. This hypothetical protein, named DRIG based on an acronym specifying its genomic location, could be a novel factor involved in regulation of DFF40 apoptotic nuclease.

Hybrid systems (HS) are roughly described as a set of discrete state transitions and continuous dynamics modeled by differential equations. Parametric HS may be constructed by having parameters on the differential equations, initial conditions, jump conditions, or a combination of the previous ones. In real applications, the best solution is obtained by a set of metrics functional over the set of solutions generated from a finite set of parameters. This paper examines the choice of parameters on delta-reachability bounded hybrid systems. We present an efficient model based on the tool pHL-MT to benchmark the HS solutions (based on dReach), and a non-parametric frontier analysis approach, relying on multidirectional efficiency analysis (MEA). Three numerical examples of epidemic models with variable growth infectivity are presented, namely: when the variable of infected individuals oscillates around some endemic (non-autonomous) equilibrium; when there is an asymptotically stable non-trivial attractor; and in the presence of bump functions.

W artykule przedstawiono model matematyczny hybrydowego układu napędowego w pojeździe typu buggy. Badany układ składa się z silnika spalinowego, maszyny elektrycznej oraz przekładni planetarnej. Na podstawie analizy kinematycznej i badań symulacyjnych, wykonanych w środowisku Matlab/Simulink wykazano, że proponowane rozwiązanie hybrydowego układu napędowego umożliwia bezstopniową zmianę przełożenia w całym zakresie prędkości pojazdu oraz posiada znacznie większy zakres pola sterowań niż tradycyjny układ napędowy z klasyczną przekładnią CVT.
This paper presents mathematical modeling and simulation result of vehicle with a simple parallel hybrid powertrain with planetary gear for the buggy hybrid vehicle. This system consists of a planetary set and combines two power sources: combustion engine (ICE) and electric motor (EM). On the basis of kinematic analysis and simulations in Matlab/Simulink environment it was indicated that the proposed solution of the hybrid powertrain offers the possibility of continuous gear control within the entire range of the vehicle speeds and has a greater range of the possible control field than the traditional powertrain with a classical CVT transmission.

Hybrid systems based on graphene oxide (GO) modified by organic molecules with the properties of donor and acceptor are very popular. The researches made in the last few years show that these structures have a really interesting photoelectrochemical properties. The ability of graphene oxide to effectively capture electrons, e.g. of porphyrins suggests the potential use of such materials in photovoltaics and molecular optoelectronics. This implies that further research of this group of molecular materials is very important from the point of view of their applications in diodes and transistors. The goal of the research was to create new hybrid systems with donor-acceptor properties, consisting of graphite oxide and porphyrin 5,10,15,20-Tetrakis (4-hydroxyphenyl) -21H, 23H-porphine. The resulting hybrid structure has been characterized by spectroscopic investigation in a wide spectral range from ultraviolet to infrared.

Pollution of the environment is a global phenomenon. The lack of specific actions to reduce environmental pollution can lead to an increase in the average temperature of the Earth's air and to global consequences. One of the important sectors affecting environmental pollution is transport, including road transport. Currently, intensive legislative and construction works are underway to reduce the emission of harmful substances from road transport. Meeting the requirements imposed by the European Union makes it necessary not only to make structural changes to combustion units or exhaust aftertreatment systems, but also to use additional systems supporting the operation of the main engine. This group includes, among others, Mild Hybrid propulsion systems and classic hybrid systems. Their application is to affect not only the possibility of reducing the swept volume of a combustion unit, while maintaining its operational parameters, but also to reduce the emission of harmful substances of exhaust gases. The conducted research and its analysis indicate the legitimacy of using a newer vehicle equipped with a modern propulsion system, i.e. Mild Hybrid, in real conditions. In the case of toxic emissions of exhaust gases, a difference in emissions of individual components is noticeable, depending on the chosen driving mode. However, it is worth mentioning the difference in the emission of nitrogen oxides and the number of particulate matters. Their emission is reduced in relation to a vehicle using a classic powertrain. The use of a modern propulsion system also improves reliability. The tested Mild Hybrid vehicle does not use a conventional alternator and starter. This eliminates the elements that are prone to damage in prolonged operation. This is an unquestionable advantage when taking into account the operation of the vehicle.
