Opis:: Respect for human dignity is a prerequisite for building society, as well as the global population without war. To understand the reasons why military conflicts, so we have to realize that they still constituted a violation of the dignity of human perception. Opis:: This paper presents the Polish adaptation of the Negative Attitude toward Robots Scale (NARS-PL), primarily created by Nomura et al. (2004). 213 individuals participated in the study (49 professionals and 164 non- professionals). The Polish version obtained satisfactory psychometric properties for a two-factor structure. Both subscales, the Negative Attitudes toward Robots that Display Human Traits (NARHT) and the Negative Attitudes toward Interactions with Robots (NATIR) possess good internal consistency. Effects of participant gender and robot’s appearance were found. Theory consistent relationships between attitude toward robots, belief in human nature uniqueness and robots’ human-likeness are discussed.

Opis:: The main aim of this paper is to present the study designed to check whether negative attitudes towards interactions with robots may be influenced by demonstrating videos presenting advanced modern robots. The attitude was measured with the use of the Negative Attitude toward Interactions with Robots questionnaire (NATIR). 66 subjects participated in the study divided into the pretest, a video presentation and the post‐test. Our main findings are the following. There is a significant difference between pre‐test and post‐test NATIR scores—the attitude towards interactions with robots improved after our subjects watched a video. We also observe an effect of participants gender on NATIR results—men had more positive attitude than women.

Opis:: While the catholic intellectual tradition upholds the uniqueness of humans, much contemporary scientific research has come to the opposing conclusion that humans are not significantly different from other animals. to engage in robust dialogue around the question of human uniqueness, we utilize Aquinas’s model of disputatio to focus on an attribute of human beings that is unexplored in the literature – namely, the human capacity to garden – and address five scientific and philosophical objections to our position that the capacity to garden makes humans distinct. engaging with various branches of science, we demonstrate that human capacities and modes of gardening are not only incrementally different, but also fundamentally different in kind, from those of nonhuman creatures. Philosophically, we utilize the power-object model of division and Aristotle’s categorization of knowledge to express the difference in kind between human beings and other animals. these responses allow us to set aside each major objection.

Opis:: During the last few decades much has been said about spirituality as well as the human spiritual dimension. The present-day understanding of spirituality generally does not place it within a religious framework. Rather, it is understood as the search for answers to fundamental human questions. This understanding gives rise to several questions: Can we speak of a human spiritual dimension divorced from a religious view of man? What is essential for the spiritual dimension of every person whether religious or not? What role does the Holy Spirit play in Christian spirituality? The author attempts to answer these questions in three sections. First, he points to the human spiritual dimension alongside the experience of the inner or spiritual life of every person. Then, considering Christian tradition, he demonstrates the importance of understanding a person as a unified being. In the final section he attempts to show how a Christian can only unify himself inwardly and simultaneously orient himself outwardly in the Holy Spirit as love. In this way he can animate his spiritual dimension and realize a genuine and fruitful Christian spirituality.
W ciągu ostatnich dziesięcioleci wiele zostało powiedziane na temat duchowości, jak również na temat ludzkiego wymiaru duchowego. Dzisiejsze rozumienie duchowości na ogół nie umieszcza jej w ramach religijnych. Jest raczej pojmowana jako poszukiwanie odpowiedzi na podstawowe ludzkie pytania. Takie rozumienie rodzi kilka pytań: Czy możemy mówić o ludzkim duchowym wymiarze w oddzieleniu od religijnego spojrzenia na człowieka? Co jest istotne dla duchowego wymiaru każdej osoby, czy to religijnej czy nie? Jaką rolę odgrywa Duch Święty w chrześcijańskiej duchowości? Autor próbuje odpowiedzieć na te pytania w trzech sekcjach. Po pierwsze, wskazuje na ludzki wymiar duchowy wraz z doświadczeniem wewnętrznym lub duchowym życiem każdej osoby. Następnie, rozważając tradycję chrześcijańską, demonstruje znaczenie zrozumienia osoby jako istoty zjednoczonej wewnętrznie. W ostatniej części stara się pokazać, jak chrześcijanin może tylko jednoczyć się wewnętrznie i jednocześnie orientować się na zewnątrz w Duchu Świętym jako miłość. W ten sposób może animować swój duchowy wymiar i realizować prawdziwą i owocną chrześcijańską duchowość.

Opis:: The paper describes the cooperative board game entitled THREE. The game is inspired by the Three Laws of Robotics. We show how this game may be used as an environment for exploring the ethical problems arising from human-robot interaction. We present the idea behind the game, discuss its cooperativeness and analyze the dilemmas encountered by players during the gameplay. We also present and discuss the results of the game evaluation.
