Opis:: The article is an attempt to present the personalistic interpretation of the original sin. The subject matter connected with the sin of our Primogenitors is complex and multidimentional, it requires a systematic analysis conducted from different perspectives. Due to several charges leveled against the doctrine of protological sin in late 20th century, new propositions for the interpretation of this issue have emerged. The subject of this analysis is a personalistic approach to the issue presented in three paragraphs: 1) The mystery of human evil (mysterium iniquitatis), 2) A drama of the fall of the first people and 3) A theological analysis of structural elements of the original sin.

Opis:: The paper analyzes selected apophthegms that are part of two collections: alphabetical and systematic. These texts had initially circulated in oral transmission between 330–460 AD and were written down in the mid-fifth century. In this form they are available up until today. The purpose of the analysis at hand is to try to find traces of oral transmission in the apophthegms, which has been attempted by considering the rather rich literature on oral cultures and oral transmission. The studies by E. A. Havelock, J. Goody, and W. B. Ong have proven most useful here. Oral memory in the recorded apophthegms was discerned at the level of the text itself, its form, structure, composition, the subject matter taken up, the importance of the spiritual guide, etc.

Opis:: Autor przedstawia niektóre wątki filozofii moralnej profesora Wolniewicza. Na uwagę zasługuje jego myślowa niezależność oraz łączenie postawy analitycznej z moralistyką. Teorię wartości Wolniewicza należy określić jako umiarkowany laicki absolutyzm o słabych podstawach metafizycznych. Choć system normatywny filozofa wydaje się stanowiskiem oświeconego liberała, odnaleźć w nim można kilka kontrowersyjnych twierdzeń, m.in. wiarę w istnienie ontologicznego zła oraz zgodę na karę śmierci.

Opis:: Having set out in some detail the central teaching of the encyclical “Veritatis Splendor” – on exceptional moral norms – this paper outlines some of the preparatory work done by the International Theological Commission in a document which, though adopted with virtual unanimity by the Commission, remains unpublished because it so closely preceded the encyclical. In a third section, the paper recalls relevant teachings of Vatican II and of the Holy See that the ITC document recalled in support of its thesis. The fourth section of the paper offers some further reflections on the encyclical, its foundations and its significance.
