    Opis:
    Drug-plasma protein interaction is a critical concern in monitoring drug circulation and drug-drug interactions. The present study aimed to investigate the interaction of psychedelic drugs such as lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD), dimethyltryptamine (DMT), 2,5-dimethoxy-4-iodoamphetamine (DOI), psilocybin, psilocin, and mescaline with human serum albumin (HSA). The 3D structures of LSD, DMT, DOI, psilocybin, psilocin, mescaline, and albumin were obtained from the structural databases (www.rcsb.org, https://pubchem.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/compound). The structures were then prepared for molecular docking analysis by Autodock Vina software. Ultimately, the binding energies between docked HSA and psychedelic drugs were calculated, and their interactions were predicted. It was found that the psychedelic drugs can interact with HSA in the active site and the best minimum binding energies of -7.6 kcal/mol and -6.5 kcal/mol were shown by LSD and psilocybin, respectively. Our results indicated that all psychedelic drugs tested could interact with HSA at subdomains IA and IB. The structural properties of the drugs affect their interaction sites and binding energies. It was concluded that albumin, as the most abundant protein of the serum, could act as the biodistributor of psychedelic drugs.

    Opis:
    The main purpose of this article is to present the most important ethical and legal aspects of the legalization of marijuana and other soft drugs. The dispute over the legalization of access to the usage of drugs is an elevation to the point of moral revolution, which is currently engaged on a global scale. Over the past decade there has been strong shift in public opinion in many countries in favor of drug policy reform. Arguments about the prohibition of drugs and over drug policy reform are subjects of considerable controversy. The problem of legal access to drugs is a very complex interdisciplinary issue which requires a reliable diagnosis on the borderline of ethics, medicine, philosophy, law, sociology and political philosophy. The ethical evaluation of the usage of drug and distribution should always precede the adoption of specific measures of a legal nature.
    Głównym celem artykułu jest prezentacja najważniejszych aspektów etycznych i prawnych legalizacji marihuany i innych narkotyków miękkich. Spór o legalizację dostępu do narkotyków jest przejawem rewolucji moralnej, która dokonuje się obecnie w wymiarze globalnym. W ostatnim dziesięcioleciu nastąpiło w wielu krajach silne przesunięcie nastrojów opinii publicznej na korzyść reformy polityki narkotykowej. Argumenty związane z zakazem dostępu do narkotyków i reformą polityki narkotykowej są obecnie przedmiotem poważnych kontrowersji. Problem prawnego dostępu do narkotyków stanowi bardzo złożoną kwestię interdyscyplinarną, która wymaga rzetelnej diagnozy z pogranicza etyki, medycyny, filozofii prawa, socjologii i filozofii politycznej. Etyczna ocena stosowania narkotyków i ich dystrybucji powinna zawsze poprzedzać przyjęcie określonych rozwiązań o charakterze prawnym.

    SummaryEven though counterfeiting medicinal products is now a more and more frequently discussed issue in Poland, it has still not received sufficient attention from the legal point of view. This article attempts to analyse the shortcomings of Poland’s current legal provisions relating to counterfeit medicinal products. It focuses on the elements of the offence defined in Art. 124b of the Polish Pharmaceutical Act (Ustawa Prawo farmaceutyczne). The commentary on this provision is not a comprehensive description of the requirements defining criminal liability, but more of a comparative overview in relation to the rules and regulations used in Poland’s jurisdictive practice. The article contains an in-depth examination of the legislation pertaining to falsified medicinal products and the results it is expected to bring. The last part of the article is a victimisation survey made by the author as part of her pilot study. The article is a comprehensive investigation of the pharmaceutical crimes relating to falsified medicinal products.
    StreszczenieTematyka związana z fałszowaniem produktów leczniczych, choć ostatnimi czasy coraz częściej poruszana, to z punktu widzenia prawniczego pozostaje niezgłębiona. Artykuł pt. „Fałszowanie produktów leczniczych – uwagi na tle Kodeksu karnego i regulacji pozakodeksowych” stanowi dogłębną analizę przepisów odnoszących się do istoty problemu fałszowania produktów leczniczych. W artykule zawarta jest analiza znamion przestępstwa z art. 124b ustawy Prawo farmaceutyczne. Komentarz do tego przepisu nie jest syntetycznym opisem przesłanek odpowiedzialności karnej, lecz został przybliżony w odniesieniu do innych przepisów, które były i są dotychczas stosowane w praktyce orzeczniczej. Tekst zawiera wnikliwą analizę genezy przepisów w tym zakresie oraz oczekiwanych celów, które zostały im postawione. Końcowa część poświęcona jest survey’owi wiktymizacyjnemu, który został przeprowadzony przez autorkę w ramach pilotażowych badań naukowych. Artykuł stanowi kompleksową analizę problemu przestępczości farmaceutycznej odnoszącej się do fałszowania produktów leczniczych.

    Opis:
    The aim of this work was to present, in synthetic form, chosen intoxications which veterinarians frequently meet in their practice, to increase the awareness of high risk of animals poisoning by veterinary drugs and drugs from human medicine. Special attention deserve medicines available without prescription, well-known as safe for people, which, at the same time, can be very dangerous for animals because of profound differences in metabolism between species. In this article, as a criterion of classification, the usual conditions of intoxication were used. The attention was drawn to poisonings caused by veterinarian action, incorrect owner behavior, especially drug administration without veterinary consultation and inadequate protection against drug consumption by animal. First, a short characteristic of intoxication causes was presented. Then, in a synthetic way, indications for a drug prescription in human medicine and in veterinary medicine were reminded. In some cases, a mechanism of action and drug metabolism was described, especially when it is specific to species and connected closely with mechanism of intoxication. Further, in the main part of poisoning description, cases based on clinical studies available in Polish and foreign literature were presented. It was made in two ways – as a description of broad number of patients or/and description of single cases. The intoxication features of the following drugs/substances were presented: salbutamol, lamotrigine, acetaminophen, ibuprofen, naproxen, propofol, baclofen, opioids, combination of kalium bromatum with phenobarbital, combination of allopurinol and meglumine antimoniate, ivermectin, and pyrethrin and pyrethroids.
