The Physical Internet (PI) is the matter of time. There is not any other concept of future logistics so simple and so complicated at the same time. Simple, because we all do it now with data. Complicated, because goods are not as flexible as figures. The range of required transformation of hubs technology before implementing of the Physical Internet is massive. Some technologies require only modification, other inventions, not possible nowadays. But it can be assumed that from technological point of view it will be possible to improve the hubs to the required level till 2050. There is still an unsolved matter of financing and organization.

In this article a review of rotor,hub constructions were presented. Discussed rotor’s hub ismade of composite or aluminum alloys materials. Two types of rotor hub were presented (four-blades and two-blades teetering rotor hub), each of them are dedicated to gyroplanes. Typical gyroplane main rotors are characterized by simple design, especially in case of rotors forlight gyroplanes. In the following part of the article thetype of strength tests required by certification process were shown. The test programs based on legal aspects of admission to the flight tests taking into account legislation such as CS 27 (Subpart C – Strength Requirements), CAP 643 British Civil Airworthiness requirements Section T Light gyroplanes, ASTM F2972. Furthermore, this articlediscusses strength tests of gyroplane rotor hub such as measured parameters, methodology of measurement, types of sensors, course of test, test stands, and limit loads. The loads during “pull-up from level flight” manoeuvreare limit loads during tests. Required additional processes, like averification the same parameters by two types of method were shown i.e.deformation of structure were tested by strain gauges and reverse engineering.Strength tests had to be made before flight test, based on results of them aircrafts are flight authorized. In conclusion,the results of tests were presented and fulfilment of legal assumptions and requirements were shown.

The article presents vibration test of three different types of gyroplane main rotors. The test was carried out on a specially prepared test bench using a Red Led Tacho Sensor measuring system. Tests were conducted for the project „Research and development works on innovative construction of aircrafts of weight over 560 kilograms at the company Trendak Aviation”. The work outlines the basic properties of the gyroplane vibration and gives their sources. The research focused on the gyroplane main rotor vibration related inter alia to the rotor imbalance as well as rotor hub connector construction. Tested rotors consisted of three different types of gyroplane rotor blades and innovative universal hub connector with positive coning angle of 2.8º. The article summarized the basic properties of three types of gyroplane the rotor blade, marks advantages of use hub connector witch constructional dihedral angle. Discusses the principle of operation of measuring device, tests methodology starting from instrument calibration. The results of the measurements are shown in the graphs in polar coordinates. The vibration measurement is carried out in two axes, in x-axis, longitudinal, along the rotor radius and in y-axis, perpendicular to the x-axis, in the direction of the chord of the rotor blades.

In this paper we investigate the issue of wireless USB hubs. Our aim is to adapt any USB device to its wireless version. We propose a minimized mobile hardware solution in the form of an electronic device and software allowing remote usage of peripherals such as keyboards, mice, USB sticks, etc. On the U.S. market similar solutions are known, but they are based on a many-to-one communication model and their design does not encourage mobility. With these designs peripheral devices still have one common point (in this case a hub instead of a computer). Additionally, hubs need external power supplies, thus they are connected to the grid by cable. Our solution is based on a one-to-one communication model and have a few key advantages for mobility. First, there is the possibility of minimizing the device itself and shortening the wire of the corresponding peripheral. Furthermore power consumption of the transmitter is much lower, and therefore there is no need to use an external power supply.

W 2018 r. uchwalono ustawę o Centralnym Porcie Komunikacyjnym, znaną pod skróconą nazwą ustawa o CPK. Jest to kolejna w naszym systemie prawnym tzw. specustawa, na podstawie której lokalizuje się inwestycje celu publicznego z pominięciem przepisów ogólnie obowiązujących. Mianem Centralny Port Komunikacyjny ustawodawca określa szereg zadań, nazywanych Przedsięwzięciami, w szczególności budowę lotniska użytku publicznego oraz obsługujących je dróg i linii kolejowych. Celem artykułu jest uświadomienie czytelnikom, jak bardzo skomplikowana jest ustawa o CPK oraz że obowiązujące przed jej uchwaleniem przepisy prawa umożliwiały lokalizację Centralnego Portu Komunikacyjnego, a wkład pracy potrzebny do przygotowania potrzebnych do tego dokumentów nie byłby większy.
In 2018, the Act on the Solidarity Transport Hub, known as the CPK Act, was enacted. This is another so-called special act in our legal system, on the basis of which public purpose investments are located without regard to generally applicable regulations. By the term Solidarity Transport Hub, the legislator defines a number of tasks, called projects, in particular the construction of a public-use airport and the roads and railway lines serving it. The purpose of this article is to make readers aware of how complicated the CPK Act is and that the legislation in force prior to its enactment made it possible to locate the Solidarity Transport Hub, and that the effort needed to prepare the necessary documents required for this would not have been greater.

Opis:
Purpose: The aim of the work was to test the contact stresses in the model system of the turbine hub cooperating with the fuel pump drive shaft. The hypothesis of the work was that, by means of FEA, it is possible to assess the contact stresses in the materials of the turbine hub and the fuel pump shaft during torque transmission. Design/methodology/approach: A turbine with fibre-reinforced polyphenylene sulphide (PPS) composite cooperating with a stainless steel shaft (X46Cr13/1.4034) in a commonly used D-flat shape joint was selected for the experimental research. To assess contact stresses, the CAD model (NX, Siemens) of the entire turbine was limited to the hub area. The drive shaft is supported in accordance with the bearing in the fuel pump, and the possibility of rotation about the axis along the length of the torque-producing magnet is taken away. The system was loaded with a torque of 200 Nmm on the turbine. The turbine hub and shaft were calculated, taking into account the phenomenon of contact detachment or slip at the value of the friction coefficient of 0.1. Findings: The pressure transmission area was found in the area at the edge of the flat surface D-flat and on the opposite side of the D-convexity. The contact stresses on the D-flat side reached values close to the composite strength. Research limitations/implications: The studies did not take into account the technological inaccuracies, thermal deformation, local material properties, and wear. The value of the friction coefficient was not measured in realistic conditions with fuel lubrication. Practical implications: FEA has been achieved, which allows to reduce the cost of experimental research. Originality/value: The proposed model allows for further studies of the influence of elasticity of various materials and structures on contact stresses in order to assess wear resistance.

In this paper the Uncapacitated Multiple Allocation p-hub Median Problem (the UMApHMP) is considered. A new heuristic method based on a genetic algorithm approach (GA) for solving UMApHMP is proposed. The described GA uses binary representation of the solutions. Genetic operators which keep the feasibility of individuals in the population are designed and implemented. The mutation operator with frozen bits is used to increase the diversibility of the genetic material. The running time of the GA is improved by caching technique. Proposed GA approach is bench-marked on the well known CAB and AP data sets and compared with the existing methods for solving the UMApHMP. Computational results show that the GA quickly reaches all previously known optimal solutions, and also gives results on large scale AP instances (up to n=200, p=20) that were not considered in the literature so far.

Ropa naftowa i gaz ziemny postrzegane są jako bliskie substytuty, co w praktyce sprawia, że ceny tych surowców w długim okresie powinny podlegaæ określonej, stabilnej w czasie relacji. Na podstawie danych historycznych możemy wskazaæ, że stosunek cen ropy naftowej do cen gazu ziemnego kształtował się na poziomie około 10:1. Badania zależności cen ropy naftowej i gazu ziemnego wskazywały na istnienie równowagi między cenami tych surowców w długim okresie (m.in. Kirchene 2002; Brown i Yücel 2007; Shafiee i Topal 2010; Asche i in. 2012; Asche i in. 2013), choć prowadzone przez badaczy weryfikacje empiryczne dotyczyły okresu przed rokiem 2008, po którym obserwowaliśmy niespotykany w latach wcześniejszych wzrost zmienności na rynku ropy naftowej. Możemy zauważyć, że nagły wzrost cen ropy naftowej począwszy od 2009 roku sprawił, iż stosunek cen tego surowca do cen gazu ziemnego wzrósł z 10:1 przeciętnie w latach 2005–2008 aż do 34:1 w 2012 roku. Celem niniejszego artykułu jest próba odpowiedzi na pytanie czy między cenami gazu ziemnego i ropy naftowej istniała zależność długookresowa w czasie zawirowań na rynku „czarnego złota”. W ramach weryfikacji empirycznej wykorzystano klasyczne narzędzia analizy szeregów czasowych, tj. test stacjonarnooeci ADF oraz analizę kointegracji z wykorzystaniem metod Engle’a–Grangera (1987) oraz Johansena (1988). W dalszej kolejności dokonano wizualizacji stabilności istnienia relacji kointegrującej między zmiennymi przy wykorzystaniu metody Hansena i Johansena (1999). Na podstawie wyników empirycznych możemy przypuszczać, że w czasie wahań cen ropy naftowej z lat 2008–2012 doszło do załamania równowagi między cenami ropy naftowej a gazu ziemnego, ale dopiero w 2009, a nie 2008 roku, gdy ceny ropy naftowej determinował silny trend wzrostowy, który wywindował cenę baryłki do poziomu przekraczającego 140 USD/bbl.
Crude oil and natural gas are recognized as close substitutes, which means that in the long term their prices should be defined by a stable relationship. Historical data indicates that the ratio of the crude oil price to the natural gas price has been set at about 10:1. Previous studies on crude oil and natural gas indicated that a stable, long-term correlation was observed (i.e. Kirchene 2002; Brown, Yücel 2007; Shafiee and Topal 2010; Asche et al. 2012; Asche et al. 2013), but most of these studies were empirically verified in a sample before the year 2008, after which unprecedented volatility in the oil market was observed. As the crude oil price rocketed in 2009, the ratio of the oil price to the natural gas price increased from10:1 on average during the period 2005–2008 to 34:1 in 2012. The inspiration for this paper was to answer the question whether the relationship between crude oil and natural gas prices remained stable during a period of high oil price variability. To verify this hypothesis, time series analyses were employed – stationarity testing with the ADF test, and cointegration analysis with both the Engle–Granger (1987) and Johansen (1988) approaches. The Hansen and Johansen (1999) method was used to visualize the stability of cointegration. According to the results of empirical analysis, it could be argued that during the period from 2008–2012 a break was observed in the equilibrium between the crude oil and natural gas prices, but the moment of the break should be assigned to the year 2009, not 2008, when oil prices rocketed to the historically highest level of 140 USD/bbl.

The article presents the analysis of anomaly of rotor dynamics in ultra-light helicopter - Robinson R22. Robinson R22 is two-seat, two-blade main rotor and single-engine helicopter, well known as simple and common used aircraft because of low price and high availability. At the same time, large number of accidents and strictly defined rules (recommended piloting technique) and weather condition for safe flight show disadvantages of Robinson R22. The reason for considering this topic is the analysis of different flight properties and helicopter behaviour as well as easy entering into dangerous flight manoeuvre. In the article different flight properties and loss of control during the pull-up, manoeuvre or vertical gusts of wind and mast bumping accidents were analysed. Analysis shows that problem may be caused by construction of three-hinged rotor hub, designed and patented by F. Robinson. Article presents model of rotor hub and review of main rotor and rotor hub construction in light helicopters. Because of number of accidents, caused by the unusual behaviour of Robinson R22, restrictive pilotage rules were introduced: prohibition of flight in certain weather conditions, the necessity of attending additional training conducted by trained instructors. To reduce the probability of an accident a special instruction for specific Robinson R22 properties was created. Moreover, the statistics of accidents resulting from loss of control and review of legal changes caused by Robinson R22 accidents are presented.

W artykule przedstawiono proces przygotowawczy certyfikacji, metodologie i przebieg badań weryfikujących podstawowe założenia konstrukcji lotniczej na przykładzie innowacyjnej głowicy wiatrakowca. Przeprowadzono badania czterołopatowej głowicy wiatrakowca weryfikujące wytrzymałość statyczną przy obciążeniach dopuszczalnych, określonych przez siły występujące przy manewrze wyrwania. Scharakteryzowano przebieg badań, metody badawcze oraz weryfikowane parametry. Opisano aspekty prawne dopuszczenia do lotu oraz uzyskania certyfikatu uwzględniając przepisy CS 27, podczęść C - Badania Wytrzymałościowe, według których prowadzono badania. Przedstawione wyniki i wnioski były podstawą do dopuszczenia obiektu do prób w locie przez Urząd Lotnictwa Cywilnego.
This paper describe the preparatory process of certification, methodology and tests which verify the assumptions of aeronautical construction based on innovative gyroplane rotor hub. Presented legal aspects of admission to the flight tests and the Type Certification (TC) taking into account legislation (CS 27 Subpart C - Strength Requirements). In this paper presented tests of innovative four - rotor blades rotor hub which verify static strength up to limit loads. The loads during "pull-up from level flight" maneuver are limit loads. Discussed are tests process, methodology of tests and verified parameters. The results and conclusions were the basis the admission object for flight testing by the Civil Aviation Authority.

Implementation of prototypes of the aircraft is a complex process - which requires a series of operations on data preparation, maintenance and inspection of the measuring apparatus. The development overlooks the stage of design and CAD modelling which is the subject of separate publications, and presents only issues related to the RP process - the SLA and FDM. Special attention was paid to the need to properly export to CAD models as STL and subseąuent analysis of the surface after tessellation (preview generated triangle mesh describing the model). The process of preparing data in dedicated utility software is a key step for the correct implementation of the prototype aircraft wheel hub. The correct position of the working models on the platform, generated automatically supports editing and verification output files (simulation analysis of overlapping layers) minimizes the risk of damage during the prototyping process itself as well as the subsequent finishing. The final chapter presents the coordinate measuring of made prototypes that will help identify areas of application methods of RP in the aerospace industry. Prototype SLA is marred by a higher error than the FDM model but allows for effective finishing operations, which eliminates the geometric errors and significantly improves the quality of the surface.

Design work related to the implementation of new aerospace elements requires the use of 3D-CAD modelling techniques and rapid prototyping, which makes it possible to significantly accelerate the deployment of new solutions. The article presents the possibility of using some methods of rapid prototyping to produce the research model of a wheel hub forming part of the landing gear. Incremental rapid prototyping methods - JS (Jetting System), SLA (Stereolithography), FDM (Fused Depositing Modelling) - have been characterized with regard to the technology of executing a hub model, the parameters of the manufacturing apparatus, and comparing basic technical data of materials used in the analyzed processes. One of the elements of the process of prototyping was to process data in other equipment for rapid prototyping. This process consisted of the following steps: defining the parameters of model building, determining the appropriate model settings in the workspace of manufacturing equipment, editing the supporting structure, verifying the subsequent layers through the simulation of model building process, generating output numerical procedures for manufacturing equipment. Manufactured prototypes have been evaluated of dimensional accuracy with the use coordinate measuring machine. Also measured the surface roughness. Conducted studies were the basis to determine the applicability of various methods of rapid prototyping in the process of research and manufacturing aircraft wheel hub.

Opis:
Over the last decade, the Baltic ports have welcomed a remarkable growth, especially oil transportation and containerised flows. The regional container network is mainly made up of feeders services. Consequently, Baltic ports as nodes of a regional maritime network are integrated into a larger system. Indeed, the port development and the evolution of maritime traffic are symptomatic of economic and territorial mutations. In this context, the Polish ports, Gdansk and Gdynia, were originally mainly connected to the Polish hinterland and Central European market. They are now becoming new transhipment ports for the regional traffic. It is especially the case for Gdansk which recorded considerable and continued growth in container traffic during the last years. The purpose of this paper is to analyse the activity of the polish container ports and examine their role and position in the Baltic and European container network. This study is based on a literature review and mainly on the analysis of a statistical database as well as using Automatic Identification System data.

Opis:
The article characterizes the growing interest of the Arctic states and the world community to the development of the vast natural resources in the harsh environment of the Arctic, including the development of programs and the strategy, the importance of international cooperation, harmonization of legal framework of economic activities in the macro-region. The essential modernization and development of transport and logistics complex in the effective development of the Arctic zone is substantiated. A conceptual model for creating the modern transport and logistics complex applicable to Murmansk transport hub, the largest in the Russian Arctic, has been developed.
