    In this paper, the fact that there is no or little history in neuroethics is briefly considered. An open list of reasons explaining this fact is proposed as well as an open list of authors sensitive to history who adopt a critical attitude towards some bold claims expressed by a number of neuroethicists. These reflections are intended to make a humble case for more history in neuroethics.

    The goal of the article is to propose a different approach to – and therefore a new concept of – the history of thinking. Reflecting on the history of philosophy, it suggests a broader understanding of the latter. Yet traditional studies in the history of philosophy are not to be rejected; they need to be reformed, and such a reform could be performed basing on the experiences of the discipline of historiography. Thus conceived, the history of thinking could open us to a different future.

    Opis:
    This article analyses the reviews of Polish books on the history of education and bringing up children in the years 1945-1989. It presents the ways in which critics reviewed new publications and shows the aspects which they paid special attention to. The reviews were published in the most renowned magazines among historians of education and raising children, such as ”Przegląd Historyczno-Oświatowy” (The History and Education Review), ”Rozprawy z Dziejów Oświaty” (Dissertations on the History of Education). Some of them were written by renowned specialists in the field. For contemporary historians, the reviews may constitute an interesting source of information on academic criticism from the times of the Polish People’s Republic. They may also bear witness to the hard work and efforts made towards conducting thorough studies into the history of education and bringing up children over various historical periods.

    W artykule, po przyjęciu za Franciszkiem Gruczą założenia, że każda nauka ewoluuje (1983, s. 123) i wpływa na rozwój myśli logopedycznej, autorzy postanowili poddać analizie w planie diachronicznym zjawisko dynamiczne. Jednocześnie w pełni respektując podział etapów rozwoju refleksji logopedycznej i paralogopedycznej zaproponowany przez Agnieszkę Hamerlińską-Latecką (2015, s. 33), skupili się na osiągnięciach okresu pierwszego, tj. opartego na intuicji (do XVI/ XVII w. n.e.). Treść planowanych dalszych artykułów wpisywać się będzie w dwa następne okresy. Przedstawiając fakty, które można nazwać paralogopedycznymi, odwoływali się głównie do osiągnięć prekursorskich w stosunku do anatomii, w tym funkcjonalnej, neurologii oraz otorynolaryngologii.
    In this article, having adopted the assumption after Franciszek Grucza that every science evolves (1983, p. 123), the development of speech therapy thought, we decided to analyze in a diachronic plan a dynamic phenomenon. At the same time, fully respecting the division of stages in the development of logopedic and paralogopedic thought, proposed by Agnieszka Hamerlinska-Latecka (2015, p. 33), the auctors focused on the achievements of the first period, i.e. based on intuition (up to the 16th/ 17th century AD). The content of the planned subsequent articles will fit into the next two periods. In presenting facts that can be called paralogopedic, they referred mainly to the achievements of precursors to anatomy, including functional anatomy, neurology and otorhinolaryngology.

    The article deals with the issue of turning (Kehre) in the thought of Martin Heidegger. I show that, in Being and time the question of being posed from the perspective of a distinguished being as Dasein has led to the objectification of being, thus rather reproducing instead of overcoming, the so far way of thinking that Heidegger named “metaphysical”. The turning in Heidegger’s thought consists in his effort to make being independent from human being, i.e. he tries to go beyond the transcendental and subjectivist point of view of Dasein by placing historicality of Dasein against the background of the very existence of being. It is not Dasein who designs being, but on the contrary, being designs understanding for Dasein. In this context, I show that the thinking of being postulated by Heidegger takes the form of thinking the very process of historical presencing of the historic types of interpretation of being.

Głównym zamierzeniem jest rekonstrukcja podstawowych idei i założeń autora oraz relacji pomiędzy proponowanymi przez niego pojęciami. Wskazuję również na pytania, do których postawienia inspiruje analizowane myślenie oraz na wagę pól problemowych, które one otwierają.
    In this paper I present the book of Jan Pomorski Homometahistoricus. Studium sześciu kultur poznających (Lublin 2019). My main goal concerns the reconstruction of basic ideas and presuppositions of the Author and the relations between the concepts which he proposes. I also indicate the questions that are inspired by the thought analyzed, as well as the importance of the fields of problems which them open.

    Artykuł dotyczy zagadnienia „zwrotu”(Kehre) w myśli Martina Heideggera. Pokazuję i uzasadniam, że postawione w Byciu i czasie pytanie o bycie z pozycji bytu wyróżnionego, jakim jest Dasein, doprowadziło do uprzedmiotowienia bycia powielając, a nie przezwyciężając, dotychczasowy, według Heideggera metafizyczny, sposób myślenia. Zwrot w myśli Heideggera polega na tym, że próbuje on uniezależnić bycie od człowieka, tj. próbuje wyjść poza transcendentalny i subiektywistyczny punkt widzenia Dasein poprzez umieszczenie dziejowości Dasein na tle dziejowości samego bycia. To nie Dasein projektuje bycie, lecz przeciwnie, bycie projektuje rozumienie dla Dasein. W tym kontekście pokazuję, że postulowane przez Heideggera myślenie bycia przybiera postać myślenia samego procesu istoczenia się dziejowych wykładni bycia.

    The narratives created by historians with respect to events of the past serve not only the cognitive aims, but may also be used in the current discourse of power and as such be referred to as ‘historical politics’. In such cases the spotlight is no longer on the historical truth, but rather on the ability to legitimize the power exercised by one social group or political party over the rest of the society. The reason why one reaches for historical myth and politicizes historical narrative is that the emotions evoked in the process can access the mind of a common creator of history (homo historicus) much easier compared to historians’ refi ned analysis based on credible sources and proper methodology. From the perspective of historical politics, a historian – being a rational entity aware of its past (homo metahistoricus) – becomes something redundant, an obstacle that has to be silenced, suppressed or removed. All that matt ers is homo historicus, as it is the ballot in his or hers hand that will eventually determine winners and losers on election day. As is known, history writt en by the victors diff ers substantially from the one writt en by the defeated. Having diagnosed this way the situation relating to every historian aware of social responsibility of the results of historical studies, the author underlines that historical narrative may be applied to building both positive and negative social capital. Th e myth and politicization of history act toward dividing a community, rather than uniting it. Th ere is no way to create an eff ectively operating community without referring to past experiences, although when describing those experiences, it is very easy to fall into various traps of historical thinking. For this reason, neuroscience and methodology are of such a great importance to the historian of the 20th Century History.

    W artykule podjęta została próba przyjrzenia się sposobowi, w jaki Andrzej J. Noras odnosił się do historii filozofii jako dyscypliny metafilozoficznej. W swoich pracach wielokrotnie podejmował problem znaczenia i wartości badań historyczno-filozoficznych. U podstaw stosunku Andrzeja J. Norasa do dyscypliny, w obrębie której się poruszał była postawa krytyczna, oznaczająca, by niczego nie pomijać, by badany przedmiot oświetlić z różnych perspektyw. W swoich badaniach podążał szlakami, które są rzadko uczęszczane przez historyków filozofii Dzięki temu udało mu się dokonać wielu interesujących ustaleń dotyczących głównego przedmiotu jego zainteresowań, jakim był neokantyzm. Wiele uwagi poświęcił także opisom sylwetek i dokonań filozofów mało znanych bądź po prostu zapomnianych. Zasługą Andrzeja J. Norasa jest to, że pozwolił im przemówić.
    Iwona Alechnowicz-Skrzypek’s aim in this article is to present Andrzej J. Noras’s approach to the history of philosophy, which he regarded as a meta-philosophical discipline. In his publications, Noras repeatedly addressed the importance and value of historical-philosophical research. Noras’s specific understanding of history of philosophy was based on a critical attitude, according to which the researcher must make an effort not omit anything and to examine his subject from different perspectives. In his research, he followed paths rarely taken by historians of philosophy, which allowed him to make noteworthy findings in neo-Kantianism, his main area of interest. He also devoted ample attention to lives and achievements of philosophers who are either little known or even entirely forgotten. Professor Andrzej J. Noras takes credit for allowing them to speak to us again.
