    Niniejszy artykuł omawia rozwój dogmatu o Niepokalanym Poczęciu NMP w czasach Ojców Kościoła i dalszych wiekach, aż do początku drugiego tysiąclecia chrześcijaństwa. Traktuje o rozwoju wiary w cudowne poczęcie Matki Boga, w trakcie którego pojawiały się głosy na temat szczególnej świętości Maryi jak i zdania przeciwne, zakładające Jej grzeszność. Wśród tych opozycji teologicznych wyrastała prawda o pełni łask Dziewicy, na początku obecna bardziej w liturgii niż w systematycznej teologii. Przekonanie Ludu Bożego wyprzedzało postęp myśli teologicznej, co wyrażało się m.in. w licznych utworach na cześć Matki Chrystusa. Artykuł wymienia licznych teologów, którzy dotykali tematyki czystości Maryi i wskazuje na kierunek rozwoju mariologii Wschodu i Zachodu.
    The figure of Mary was treated on the margin of the Incarnation of Word, that is why primarily Her Maternity and Virginity were mentioned, leaving other marial truths, including Immaculate Conception, unrevealed. One aspect of Mary’s spiritual condition, discussed by theologian of the first millennium was particular holiness of Virgin and Her sinlessness. However, the subject of preservation from original sin was not raised, maybe because other, more basic truths, hadn’t been explained yet. The content and way of bringing up the marial subject-matter made Pius IX conclude that the belief in Immaculate Conception was included in the tradition of ancestors, which means that in their theology Magisterium saw crucial thoughts for the evolution of this truth. Assessing Mary’s mystery from the point of view of the Church Fathers and the writers of the first millennium it can be concluded that the truth about Immaculate Conception of Mary was not the main subject of marial theology in those days. The truth of Immaculate Conception together with the belief into Mary’s Assumption still was not noticed by the great theological minds. Simul-taneously it was evolving among worshippers, who following their intuitive belief, supported that truth through the cult of unusual Conception of Mary. In the first millennium the Church Fathers were rather focused on the sinlessness aspect, leaving the problem of Immaculate Conception somehow forgotten.

    Pojęcie hellenizacji odnosi się do rozprzestrzeniania się greckiej kultury i przejmowania jej przez ludy niebędące Grekami w czasach, które zapoczątkowują podboje Aleksandra Wielkiego (czyli od drugiej połowy IV w. p.n.e.). W taki lub podobny sposób termin ten zostaje zdefiniowany w wielu współczesnych słownikach i encyklopediach dotyczących starożytności. Pojęcie to stało się problematyczne, gdy w drugiej połowie XIX w. i pierwszej połowie XX w. historycy religii powiązali je z pewnego rodzaju sądami wartościującymi, a niekiedy nawet ideologicznymi. Dlatego też niektórzy współcześni uczeni proponują porzucenie pojęcia „hellenizacja” w badaniach nad antykiem bądź zastąpienie go innymi, które w sposób neutralny opisywałyby zjawiska zachodzące w epoce hellenistycznej. W niniejszym artykule przedstawiono przegląd wybranych stanowisk w odniesieniu do samego pojęcia „hellenizacja”, a także podjęto próbę odpowiedzi na pytanie, czy we współczesnych badaniach dotyczących epoki hellenistycznej można uniknąć tego obciążonego ideologicznie terminu.
    The term Hellenization refers to the spread of Greek culture and its adoption by non-Greek peoples, in the era that begins with the conquests of Alexander the Great (i.e. from the second half of the 4th century BC onwards). The term is defined likewise or similarly in many modern dictionaries and encyclopedias of antiquity. The term became problematic when, in the second half of the 19th century and the first half of the 20th century, historians of religion associated it with certain kinds of value judgements and sometimes even ideology. Therefore, some contemporary scholars propose abandoning the concept of ‘Hellenization’ in the study of antiquity, or to replace it with others that would describe the phenomena occurring in the Hellenistic era neutrally. This article shall present an overview of selected positions with regard to the notion of ‘Hellenization’ itself, and attempt to answer the question whether this ideologically loaded term can be avoided in contemporary research on the Hellenistic Age

    Okrągłe rocznice ważnych wydarzeń skłaniają do refleksji, a w przypadku prawd wiary do spojrzenia na ich genezę. Dogmat o Wniebowzięciu NMP, obecny w Kościele od wieków, został ogłoszony uroczyście dopiero siedemdziesiąt lat temu na prośbę biskupów i wiernych świeckich, Konstytucją apostolską Munificentissimus Deus. Treść tego dogmatu była rozwijana, wzbogacana nauczaniem kolejnych papieży, aby wskazać, że Maryja Wniebowzięta jest nie tylko wzorem, przykładem do naśladowania, ale także nadzieją wierzących na ich wniebowzięcie.
    Runde Jubiläen wichtiger Ereignisse regen zum Nachdenken und bei Glaubenswahrheiten zum Blick auf ihre Ursprünge an. Das seit Jahrhunderten in der Kirche präsente Dogma der Himmelfahrt der Jungfrau Maria wurde erst vor 70 Jahren auf Bitten von Bischöfen und Laien feierlich verkündet, die Apostolische Konstitution Munificentissimus Deus. Der Inhalt dieses Dogmas wurde entwickelt, bereichert durch die Lehren aufeinanderfolgender Päpste, um zu zeigen, dass Maria Himmelfahrt nicht nur ein Vorbild ist, ein Beispiel, dem man folgen sollte, sondern auch die Hoffnung der Gläubigen auf ihre Himmelfahrt.
    Round anniversaries of important events invite us to reflect and, in the case of Truths of the Faith, to look at their origins. The dogma of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, present in the Church for centuries, was solemnly proclaimed only seventy years ago at the request of bishops and the lay faithful, in the Apostolic Constitution Munificentissimus Deus. The content of this dogma was developed, enriched with the teachings of successive popes to show that Mary of the Assumption is not only a model, an example to follow, but also the hope of believers for their Assumption.
