The term entrepreneurship has been seen from a productive perspective, tending towards the development of business ideas. However, today it is also associated with the strengthening of skills and attitudes on a personal level. In Colombia, Law 1014 of 2006 regulates entrepreneurship as part of academic training, at all educational levels. Despite it being an initiative raised by the government, concrete actions on the subject are being directed by teachers in classrooms. For this reason, the views of high school teachers, through the lens of qualitative research, are essential for exploring the reality that education occupies in this aspect, and that increasingly highlights some obstacles which hinder its progress. Therefore, the aim of this article – immersed in the framework of a doctoral thesis about the practices of entrepreneurship among high school teachers in public schools in Bogotá – is to expose which actions have been aimed at integrating entrepreneurship into Colombian high school education from the experience of teachers, as well as to unveil their criticism of the absence of the entrepreneurial process from the first grades established in the law, the role of the National Service of Learning (SENA) as an important institution in Colombia related to entrepreneurship in the classrooms, the lack of a more human vision that is less focused on production in entrepreneurship education, and the huge gap in teacher training in the area.

The article discusses the problems and challenges faced by contemporary university education system in the context of the new technologies and digital media development. Changes that occur in the modern educational process force us to revise the commonly used forms and didactic methods, which correspond to the needs of the new digital students. Authors in their text characterized the assumptions of digital pedagogy and present new perspectives for the development of digital education in the context of the humanities and social sciences.

Achievement motivation is an important prerequisite for students’ engagement, overcoming study difficulties and, ultimately, successful completion of their studies. The aim of this study is to find out the current level of performance motivation of the population of students of engineering high schools, to compare its level with the standard for high school population and to find out whether there is a relationship between its level and choice. Two questionnaires were used in the research. The first was the School Achievement Motivation Questionnaire for Pupils. The theory of achievement motivation is then based on the concept of independence of the need for successful performance and the need to avoid failure. The resulting orientation of a person in a performance situation then depends on the predominance of one or the other tendency. The second questionnaire was focused on finding personal data, questions of school choice, satisfaction with school choice and other. The research was carried out at the beginning of 2020 and the sample consisted of over 900 students. Main results of the study: First, in the component of performance motivation NACH (need to achieve) the performance motivation of the group is statistically different from the group norm. In the NAF (the need to avoid failure) component, the results are statistically identical. Second, schools do not differ in the results for the NACH component, but differ in the NAF component. Third, in both components, the value of performance motivation for beginners and for final years in both components is significantly different from other years. Fourth, the student’s statement on the choice of study at an engineering school as a primary choice is not related to the values of NACH and NAF. Fifth, the level of student’s achievement motivation in both components is related to the student’s idea of studying.

The event met over the past 12 years with great interest among young students across the country and at its central stage in Warsaw was accompanied by various cultural activities aimed at better acquaintance with the richness of the African cultures.

Thesis. Article assumes that criticism plays an important role in shaping the educational needs of secondary education level. Both positive and negative views expressed in an appropriate form, have an impact on the improvement of work organization and management of middle schools. It should therefore look at how they are used to evaluate this type of education in Polish literature. Discussed concepts. The article presents a spectrum of issues related to the review of critical votes on middle schools included in the contemporary literature, with particular emphasis on journalism news, web, radio and television. It also attempts to answer the question about the objectives of the reform of the education system in 1999 year and its future in the light of the ministerial announcement of the liquidation of the middle and return to the previous educational system. Results and conclusions. Analysis of the literature showed that both the decision to introduce middle school to high school system, and the decision on their liquidation, aroused considerable controversy among Polish society. In the public debate for nearly 17 years voice take both supporters and opponents of their functioning. However it is certain one - rapid changes in the education system, not preceded by systematic observations contribute to its destabilization and contribute to organizational chaos in education. Originality / value of the cognitive approach. In the course of the analysis of the collected data quoted selected opinions of supporters and opponents of middle schools, representing various academic, political and social. Efforts were also different sources of information collected. Such an approach to the subject allows entry into the interactions between the people involved in the educational process, magazine editors paper and electronic, public opinion, and readers of this article.
Teza. Artykuł zakłada, że krytyka pełni ważną rolę w kreowaniu wartości edukacyjnych na potrzeby szkolnictwa średniego szczebla. Zarówno pozytywne, jak i negatywne poglądy, wyrażone w odpowiedniej formie, mają wpływ na doskonalenie pracy, organizacji i zarządzania gimnazjów. Warto zatem przyjrzeć się, w jaki sposób wykorzystuje się je do oceny tego typu szkół w polskim piśmiennictwie. Omówione koncepcje. Artykuł prezentuje pewne spektrum zagadnień związanych z krytyką gimnazjów obecną we współczesnym piśmiennictwie, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem publicystyki prasowej, internetowej, radiowej i telewizyjnej. Próbuje także odpowiedzieć na pytanie o założenia reformy ustroju szkolnego z 1999 r. oraz jej przyszłość w świetle ministerialnych zapowiedzi likwidacji gimnazjów i powrotu do poprzedniego systemu edukacyjnego. Wyniki i wnioski. Analiza piśmiennictwa wykazała, że zarówno decyzja o wprowadzeniu gimnazjum do ustroju szkolnego, jak i decyzja o ich likwidacji, wzbudziły znaczne kontrowersje wśród społeczeństwa polskiego. W trwającej niemal 17 lat debacie publicznej głos zabierają i zwolennicy i przeciwnicy ich funkcjonowania. Pewne jest natomiast jedno – szybkie zmiany w systemie oświaty nie poprzedzone systematycznymi obserwacjami, sprzyjają jego destabilizacji i przyczyniają się do chaosu organizacyjnego w szkolnictwie. Oryginalność/wartość poznawcza podejścia. Analizując zebrane dane, przytoczono wybrane opinie zwolenników i przeciwników gimnazjów, reprezentujących różne środowiska akademickie, polityczne i społeczne. Starano się także o różnorodność źródeł pozyskiwanych informacji. Takie podejście do tematu umożliwia wejście w interakcje pomiędzy osobami zaangażowanymi w proces oświatowy, redaktorami czasopism papierowych i elektronicznych, opinią publiczną i czytelnikami niniejszego artykułu.

The article is an attempt at presenting the role cultural education played in folk high school type of educational institutions for over more than a hundred years of their existence. It shows the process of gradual involvement of folk high schools in performing cultural tasks. Originally they focused on other things – mainly on awakening civil awareness of peasants. The author distinguishes three periods in the world’s history of the relations between FHS and cultural education: the first one – which emphasised the necessity of building new cultural awareness of residents of rural areas in the spirit of agrarism (19th and the beginning of 20th century); second – during which a new type of folk high school appears in many countries – FHS groups of interest, emphasising meeting the cultural needs of their social communities (since the turn of the 1960s and the 1970s); third – during which they began to be institutions available for everyone (folk high school for all), organizing various types of leisure time activities – including a wide cultural offer (till the present). The author concludes that the evolution of the place of cultural education in folk high schools sketched in the article (Poland was 20 years behind in this respect) shows that we have reached such a phase of FHS development in many countries that the institutions can constitute important elements of cultural animation in the region in which they function. The author also encourages individual regional communities in various parts of the world to use that proven in action educational concept when they plan modern educational activities connected with cultural activity.

Tematem niniejszego artykułu jest określenie korzyści czy niepowodzeń wynikających z reformy szkolnictwa, w myśl której w miejsce liceów zawodowych powstały licea profilowane jako rodzaj szkoły ponadgimnazjalnej. Analizie na potrzeby artykułu podlegały wszystkie rodzaje liceów profilowanych, jakie powstały w północnej Polsce po reformie szkolnictwa w Polsce po 1999 roku w porównaniu z innymi typami szkół średnich. Badania dokonano na podstawie wyników egzaminów maturalnych upowszechnionych przez Okręgową Komisję Egzaminacyjną w Gdańsku. Po przeprowadzeniu analizy każdej ze szkół wyniki badań zostały przedstawione w postaci wykresów, na podstawie których wyciągnięto stosowne wnioski. Autor ma nadzieję, że otrzymane wyniki analiz przeprowadzonych reform posłużą w przyszłości do ewentualnego przeprowadzania innych reform oświaty
The subject of this article is to define the benefits or failures resulting from the education reform, according to which, instead of vocational secondary schools, specialized secondary schools were created as a kind of upper secondary school. For the purposes of this article, all types of specialized secondary schools established in northern Poland after the education reform in Poland after 1999, compared to other types of secondary schools, were analyzed. The research was carried out on the basis of the results of secondary school-leaving examinations disseminated by the Regional Examination Board in Gdańsk. After the analysis of each school, the research results were presented in the form of graphs, on the basis of which appropriate conclusions were drawn. The author hopes that the obtained research results may be used in the future to possibly carry out other educational reforms.

Introduction: Although practicing physical activity according to recommendations has health benefits, many studies have reported that the level of participation is lower than recommended. Methods: In this behavioural epidemiological study, we used a correlational design to determine the contribution made by physical education (PE) classes to daily physical activity in a sample of 694 Spanish adolescents. Physical activity levels were determined using the Four by One-Day Physical Activity Questionnaire. Results: 65.1% of adolescents comply with the recommendations on PE school days, compared to 36.6% who do so on the days with no PE class. Moreover, on PE school days, they obtain significantly higher physical activity level scores compared to days with no PE class. Conclusion: The study, therefore, shows the fundamental role of PE in increasing daily physical activity levels. Proposals to improve physical activity levels in these adolescents should be put forward, with educational centres being one of the best settings to achieve this goal.

The purpose of this research is to describe the character and values of students in coastal areas. This research method is ethnographic. The research subjects were junior high school students whose parents work as fishermen in coastal areas. The results showed that character education carried out in schools, homes, and community environments has made students in coastal area friendly, hard-working, caring towards their parents, independent, and disciplined. Values and character are not formed instantly but through a long process with environmental conditions in the coastal areas that are so challenging.

The objective of the study was to assess the status of physical education at different levels of school education in rural and urban areas of Przemyśl County. The study included physical education teachers working in primary, middle and high schools. The analysis showed that most of the schools in the city have better conditions for the implementation of obligatory physical education classes. In addition, most teachers complain about conditions in schools. According to physical education teachers, combined classes, lack of equipment and appropriate sports base are the most common causes of making it impossible for them to accomplish the program of physical education in schools in the Przemyśl County.
Celem badań była ocena stanu wychowania fizycznego na różnych poziomach edukacji szkolnej na terenach wiejskich i miejskich powiatu przemyskiego. Badaniami (kwestionariusz ankiety) objęto nauczycieli wychowania fizycznego pracujących w szkołach podstawowych, gimnazjalnych i ponadgimnazjalnych. Przeprowadzona analiza wykazała, iż lepsze warunki do realizacji obowiązkowych zajęć wychowania fizycznego posiada większość szkół znajdujących się w mieście. Dodatkowo można stwierdzić, że większość nauczycieli narzeka na warunki panujące w szkołach. Według nauczycieli wychowania fizycznego łączenie klas, brak sprzętu i brak odpowiedniej bazy to najczęstsze przyczyny uniemożliwiające realizacje programu.

This study seeks to: 1) to generate a product of a living values-based authentic assessment model in civic learning in high school; 2) to test the effectiveness of the model on the character development of students. Research and Development design was employed. Data were collected through questionnaires, attitude scales, interviews, and focus group discussions. An interactive analysis model, quantitative descriptive, and the two-difference test mean were utilised to analyse the data. Participants in the study were Students and Civics Education teachers in ten high schools in Bandung, Indonesia. Results reveal: 1) the model product comprised attitude assessment, self-assessment, and peer assessment which integrates the values of life into the assessment aspects of learning material according to the curriculum; 2) The results of model trials indicate that significant differences arise in the character development of students before and after the application of the model.

Opis:
Celem artykułu jest próba identyfikacji czynników, które wpływają na wyniki egzaminu pisanego na koniec gimnazjum. Praca prezentuje porównanie umiejętności uczniów dolnośląskich gimnazjów, piszących egzamin końcowy w 2010 r., ze względu na płeć oraz uwzględniając czynniki indywidualne, szkolne, środowiskowe i regionalne. Zastosowane metody klasyfikacji i korelacji umożliwiły częściowe rozpoznanie zróżnicowania w osiąganych wynikach z egzaminu gimnazjalnego w pięciu wydzielonych klasach powiatów, o względnie jednolitych warunkach nauki. Niezależnie od klasy powiatów zaobserwowano podobne prawidłowości w zakresie umiejętności uczniów gimnazjów. Przeprowadzona analiza nie pozwoliła jednak jednoznacznie wskazać na istotne czynniki środowiskowe różnicujące wyniki osiągane przez uczniów gimnazjów.
The objective of this article is to identify the factors which influence the results of the written final examination in junior high schools. This paper presents a comparison of pupils’ skills in Lower Silesia junior high schools, students who wrote final exams in 2010, regarding sex, and referring to individual features and schools, environmental and regional factors. The applied methods of classification and correlation make it possible to recognize the differences in the results of junior high school exams in five classes of the given poviats with relatively homogeneous conditions of learning. Regardless of poviat class, similar regularities in terms of skills of junior high school students can be observed. The analysis did not allow, however, to indicate clearly the significant environmental factors which differentiate the results achieved by the students in junior high schools.
