Opis:
Harmonic analysis (spectral, Fourier) is especially useful to study the stochastic structure of the temporal series, for it does not require any apriori presuppositions with regards to its parameters. In the present study two temporal series have been analysed. They concerned weekly quotations of two agricultural products (wheat, piglets) from one market in the period of 8 years (416 observations). Harmonic analysis appeared to be a comfortable and effective tool by means of which to identify the structure of the series under study; the model built on the basis of this analysis permitted us to explain over 80% of variability in those series. Therefor we could formulate a conclusion that in the case of the two series the dominating role was is played by long-term cyclical fluctuations, clearer in the case of the prices for piglets. Now in the temporal series of the wheat prices the seasonal fluctuations are clearer.

Suszenie płodów rolnych z wykorzystaniem sorbentów naturalnych - jakim jest ziarno tego samego gatunku co ziarno suszone, daje możliwość obniżenia nakładów energetycznych na proces suszenia i dosuszania ziarna. Artykuł przedstawia dynamikę oddawania wilgoci przez ziarno wilgotne i pochłaniania wody przez ziarno przesuszone z uwzględnieniem różnych udziałów masowych ziarna i temperatury czynnika suszącego. Ważnym aspektem takiego suszenia jest jakość nasion podczas suszenia. W związku z tym w artykule przedstawiono innowacyjną metodę oceny jakości ziarna za pomocą komputerowej analizy obrazu.
Drying the agricultural producets using natural sorbents which there are a grain of the same kind as a dried grain, is giving the possibility of reducing the expenditure energy for the process of drying and airing of the grain. The article shows dynamics of giving back to the damp by humid seed and of absorbing water through the grain dried up a little with taking into consideration different mass shares of the grain and temperatures of the drying factor. A quality is an important aspect of such drying of seeds while drying. Therefore in the article an innovative method of the assessment was presented to the quality of the grain with the help of computer analysis of the image.

Propagation of waves in a micropolar monoclinic medium possessing hermoelastic properties based on the Lord- Shulman (L-S),Green and Lindsay (G-L) and Coupled thermoelasticty (C-T) theories is discussed. The investigation is divided into two sections, viz., plane strain and anti-plane strain problem. After developing the solution, the phase velocities and attenuation quality factor have been derived and computed numerically. The numerical results have been plotted graphically.

In this paper, the transient simulation of AC machines considering spatial field harmonics and current displacement in rotor bars is examined. The first point of discussion is the sufficient order of the equivalent circuit of the current displacement model for its accurate co-simulation with the higher spatial field harmonics. In the second place, the problem of inversion of the inductance matrix considering the flux linkage through higher spatial harmonics is studied.
W artykule przeanalizowano symulację stanów przejściowych maszyn prądu przemiennego z uwzględnieniem harmonicznych pola przestrzennego i przesunięcia prądu w prętach wirnika. Po pierwsze przeanalizowano jaki jest wystarczający rząd modelu równoważnego obwodu przesunięcia prądu dla jego dokładnej symulacji wraz z wyższymi harmonicznymi pola przestrzennego. Po drugie, badany jest problem inwersji macierzy induktancji z uwzględnieniem sprzężenia strumienia przez wyższe harmoniczne przestrzenne.

Analysis of vibroacoustic signals is one of the more frequently used diagnostic methods for mechanical devices occurring, among the others, in the car diagnostics. Often, it happens that the most important element of the recorded course is the fundamental harmonic frequency of vibrations. Fundamental frequency indicates the main process related to the operation of the device and allows to follow its course. In the article the author’s method of determining the fundamental frequency in the signal, being the subject of a patent application, will be presented. Its theoretical basis and application examples were discussed comparing the accuracy of its use with the accuracy of other methods. The frequency range where the method finds application is shown. That is, where its accuracy turns out to be better than the accuracy of popular methods used to determine fundamental harmonic frequency component.
Analiza sygnałów wibroakustycznych jest jedną z częściej stosowanych metod diagnostycznych urządzeń mechanicznych, występującą między innymi w diagnostyce samochodowej. Często zdarza się, że najbardziej istotnym elementem rejestrowanego przebiegu jest główna składowa harmoniczna drgań. Dominująca częstotliwość świadczy bowiem o głównym procesie związanym z pracą urządzenia i pozwala śledzić jego przebieg. W artykule zostanie przedstawiona autorska metoda wyznaczania głównej częstotliwości występującej w sygnale, będąca przedmiotem zgłoszenia patentowego. Omówiono jej podstawy teoretyczne oraz przykłady zastosowania, porównując dokładność jej stosowania z dokładnością innych metod. Wskazano na zakres częstotliwości, gdzie metoda znajduje zastosowanie, to znaczy gdzie jej dokładność okazuje się lepsza, niż dotychczas stosowanych sposobów wyznaczania głównej składowej harmonicznej.

Renewable energy sources especially solar energy connected to an electrical grid system by using power electronic devices, known that devices degrade the power quality and especially generate harmonic currents. This article presents the study investigation and propagation of harmonics in the integration system of an electric grid connected to the photovoltaic system in the presence or not of a non-linear load (polluting load). In this study, the perturb and observe type MPPT controller for the boost converter and the PWM control for the three-phase inverter which provides the connection are used. We use a passive filtering technique (single and multiple filters) to mitigate the harmonic currents generated by the non-linear load. In the first case where the integration system is alone, the results obtained show that the values of the total harmonic distortion (THD) rates are within the standard used. But in the case of the presence of the non-linear load, the THD values are higher than the used norm. After using our proposed technique, the values of THD obtained are in the norm used for the application of a tuned filter at the fifth harmonic, and better results find with using of multiple filters (fifth and seventh).

W pracy zaproponowano sposób obliczania standardowego błędu numerycznego dla estymatorów wartości brzegowej gęstości wektora obserwacji, opartych na skorygowanej średniej harmonicznej oraz skorygowanej średniej arytmetycznej. W części empirycznej porównano numeryczne własności tych estymatorów w kontekście modeli Copula-AR-GARCH. Dodatkowo zastosowano metodę Chiba i Jeliazkova. Wyniki jednoznacznie pokazały, że estymator oparty na skorygowanej średniej arytmetycznej charakteryzuje się najmniejszym standardowym błędem numerycznym.
The main aim of the paper is to propose methods for calculating numerical standard errors of the corrected harmonic as well as arithmetic mean estimators of the marginal likelihood. We apply these two estimators in Copula-AR-GARCH models for the daily growth rates of four sub-indices of the stock index WIG, published by the Warsaw Stock Exchange. For the sake of comparison Chib and Jeliazkov estimator (as a goldstandard) is also considered. Empirical results demonstrate that the corrected arithmetic mean estimator performs best. It is characterised by smallest numerical standard errors.

When analyzing time series we can often observe that they have periodic oscillations (cyclic, seasonal). One of the methods which can be applied to investigate such a phenomenon and which belongs to the group of periodic components models is the method of harmonic analysis. The method consists in analyzing the oscillations around the medium level a0 and building a model as the sum of so called harmonics. The paper presents the applicability potential of harmonic analysis in the forecasting process of radiation hazard on post-mining grounds (mine waters with raised content of radium Ra226 and Ra-228 drained off to the surface), using for that purpose the measurement results of radium concentration from the area of mine water catchment from the years 2004-2013.
Analizując szeregi czasowe często dostrzegamy w nich wahania okresowe (cykliczne, sezonowe). Jedną z metod pozwalającą na badanie tego typu zjawisk jest należąca do grupy modeli składowej periodycznej analiza harmoniczna. Metoda ta opiera się na badaniu wahań wokół poziomu średniego a0 i na budowie modelu w postaci sumy tzw. harmonik. W artykule przedstawiono możliwości wykorzystania analizy harmonicznej w procesie prognozowania występowania zagrożenia radiacyjnego na terenach pogórniczych (wody kopalniane o podwyższonej zawartości radu Ra-226 i Ra-228 odprowadzane na powierzchnię) wykorzystując w tym celu wyniki pomiarów stężenia radu w jednym z rejonów zlewni wód dołowych z lat 2004-2013.

Pomiary sprawności generacji drugiej harmonicznej światła dla próbek materiałów nieliniowooptycznych odnoszą się głównie do kryształu jako obiektu makroskopowego. Nowootrzymywane związki chemiczne nie zawsze stwarzają możliwość wyhodowania jednolitych i wystarczająco dużych kryształów. Niniejsze opracowanie opisuje propozycję nowego sposobu pomiaru sprawności generacji drugiej harmonicznej światła dla nietransparentnych próbek proszkowych. Podstawową różnicę względem powszechnie stosowanych metod pomiaru jest umieszczenie detektora pierwszej i drugiej harmonicznej w obszarze strumienia światła odbitego od badanej próbki materiału. Zarejestrowane w proponowany sposób sygnały mimo iż mają mniejszą amplitudę względem typowej metody, są mniej zniekształcone i zakłócone przez czynniki zewnętrzne.
Measurements efficiency of second harmonic generation of light for samples of nonlinear optical crystals mainly refer to the crystal as a macroscopic object. Newlyformed chemicals probes do not always provide the opportunity to grow uniform and large enough crystals. This article describes the proposed new method for measuring the efficiency of second harmonic light generation for nontranslucent powder samples. The primary difference with respect to commonly used measurement methods is the placement of the first and second harmonic detectors in the area of the reflected light stream from the test sample material. Comparative test measurements of both methods were performed for the same sample crystal BiB3O6 (BIBO). Measurement conditions beyond the position of the detectors remain unchanged. Comparing both pulse waveforms, you may notice a decrease in amplitude of FUN and SHG signals. Despite the reduced amplitude of the recorded signals, a noticeable improvement in the shape of the two pulses can be noted. The measuring system shall be subjected to a onetime series of measurements with a reference sample to determine the fixed conversion rate of the second harmonic of the light.

W artykule podjęto próbę opisu procesu mieszania czternastoskładnikowej paszy dla gołębi w mieszalniku z pionowym mieszadłem o działaniu okresowym. W wyniku przeprowadzonych pomiarów zaobserwowano charakter zależności zmiany procentowego udziału poszczególnych składników mieszaniny w funkcji czasu mieszania. Charakter tych zmian został opisany za pomocą funkcji drgań tłumionych. Do wymodelowania krzywej drgań tłumionych wykorzystano dwie metody: klasyczną oraz bayesowską.
In the paper a description of the mixing process of a 14-component pigeon pellet in the periodical mixer with vertical agitator has been given. Following the performed measurements, a relation of the components' percentages in time has been observed. To model these changes, a damped vibration function was proposed. To estimate model parameters, a classical and a Bayesian approaches were adopted.

Opis:
Investment risk (including futures contracts) depends on changes in financial instrument valuation (volatility). However it more concerns individual predisposition of a person taking investment decisions. It is an investor who decides what amount he can risk. While a technical analysis often shows the right time of concluding the transaction. In this article the author presents such a moment in the form of PRZ (Potential Reversal Zone). This moment is calculated by the Butterfly harmonic pattern, which is described by important Fibonacci ratios. The article includes charts showing the futures quotations and summary data tables containing the value of the stop-loss order, which prevents the loss and protects profits. The essence of all the XABCD harmonic patterns (including the presented Butterfly pattern) is to calculate the right moment to initiate transaction as many days (sometimes weeks or months) as possible before such a moment appears. This moment is the point D, which is calculated using external and internal price retracements. From the placed charts and calculations it appears that the described structure is characterized by very high profitability (e.g. 492,31 % in 34 days on the market) at a certain acceptable, relatively low level of risk.
