    Opis:
    This text is an attempt at analysing civility, an undertaking practically absent from the contemporary pedagogical discourse though amply discussed within the humanities. The (re)construction of this concept aims to restore the importance of civility as a form of civilised life and to advocate for the need to acquire this quality through education. To this end, I review the history of the concept of civility (as a part of the civilising process) and then establish its relation to social mores and morality. Finally, I propose a contemporary understanding of civility within the public and private sphere and in its interpersonal and social roles and how these relate to each other. I assume that a reconstruction of the concept, including a portrayal of civility as a useful good and simultaneously a manifestation of human morality or the human condition in general, warrants the placement of civility among the internal goods of education.

    Opis:
    Gawęda - the story has been an important element of cultural education since the earliest times. Children like to listen to fairy tales. It is a great way for them to learn important and impossible to show matters, e.g. values. The study presented on different groups of preschool children (six-year-olds) shows that storytelling - listening is still an attractive way to upbringing. It is also worth conducting similar studies in older age groups, including adolescents and young adults. The presented research and considerations also lead to the conclusion that to some extent we are all children and we need such stories. Storytelling serves listeners, but it can also be used by storytellers because good storytelling requires reflection and also serves the development of a tutor storyteller. tale, upbringing, care, the attractiveness of the story, good story
    Gawęda - opowieść była ważnym elementem edukacji kulturalnej od najwcześniejszych czasów .Dzieci lubią słuchać bajek. To dla nich świetny sposób na poznanie ważnych i niemożliwych do pokazania spraw, np. wartości. Przedstawione badanie przeprowadzone na różnych grupach dzieci w wieku przedszkolnym (sześciolatków) pokazuje, że opowiadanie - słuchanie jest nadal atrakcyjnym sposobem wychowania. Warto również przeprowadzić podobne badania w starszych grupach wiekowych w tym młodzieży i młodych dorosłych. Przedstawione badania i rozważania prowadzą również do wniosku, iż w pewnym stopniu wszyscy jesteśmy dziećmi i potrzebujemy takich opowieści. Opowiadanie służy słuchaczom, ale również może służyć opowiadającym, ponieważ dobre opowiadanie wymaga refleksji i służy również rozwojowi gawędziarza wychowawcy. gawęda, wychowanie, opieka, atrakcyjność opowieści, dobre opowiadanie

    W artykule zaprezentowano miejsce wspólnoty w wychowaniu i jej znaczenie w rozwoju osoby. Została nakreślona problematyka wspólnoty, jej charakterystyka, określenie co nią jest, a co nią nie jest, określenie jej podstaw. W drugiej części artykułu dokonano refleksji nad tym, czym jest wychowanie i scharakteryzowano rozwój osoby w procesie wychowania. Wychowanie potrzebuje wspólnoty, ale także wspólnota potrzebuje wychowania. Wspólnota jest miejscem rozwoju wielu sfer aktywności osoby, ponieważ to właśnie w niej rozwija się człowiek w swoim człowieczeństwie. Obecnie kwestionuje się rolę wspólnoty w życiu osoby. Zmienia się wzorce rodziny, szkoły, społeczeństwa, gdzie dobro wspólne staje się dobrem pojedynczych osób i szuka się zamienników, które są płynne i nie stanowią oparcia dla rozwoju osoby. Artykuł ukazuje, że ważnym zadaniem pedagogiki jest obrona wspólnoty jako miejsca wychowania.
    In the article there was presented the place of the community in the upbringing process and the meaning of the community in the development of a person. There was also depicted the issue of the community, its description, defining what is the community and what is not. In the article the basis of the community were also described. In the second part of the article there were considered the issue of upbringing and characterized the development of a person in the upbringing process. Upbringing needs the community, but also the community needs upbringing. The community is the place where many spheres of human activity is developed. In the community itself the human is developed in his humanity. At present the role of the community in a person's life is questioned. The role models and structures of a family, school, society in which the common good is an individual good are being changed. Some substitutes are being looked for and these substitutes are flexible and do not support the development of a person. The article shows that the important task of pedagogy is to protect the community as a place of upbringing.

    Wprowadzenie: Problematyka artykułu dotyczy piękna ujętego z perspektywy roli, w której staje się ono pryzmatem dobra. Prezentowane analizy teoretyczne omawianych pojęć i fenomenów odniesiono do potrzeby wykorzystywania ekspozycji piękna jako pryzmatu dobra w edukacji i wychowaniu wskazując, iż realizacja tej potrzeby jest istotną odpowiedzią na współczesne wyzwania edukacyjne. Cel badań: Celem podjętej analizy jest zwrócenie uwagi na możliwości wykorzystania w edukacji tego aspektu oddziaływania piękna, w którym jego przeżywanie staje się doświadczeniem uwrażliwiającym na dobro, wyzwalającym tęsknotę za dobrem i pięknem oraz inspirującym do poszukiwania tych wartości we własnym życiu. Stan wiedzy: W prezentowanych analizach, bazując na odniesieniach do literatury źródłowej, nawiązano do antycznej interpretacji piękna jako kategorii posiadającej wymiar etyczny, duchowy i estetyczny. Przywołano poglądy badaczy, którzy zwracają uwagę na współczesne tendencje kulturowe będące wyrazem odniesień do piękna dalekich od jego rozumienia jako wartości zespolonej z dobrem. Odwołano się także do stanowisk tych reprezentantów myśli pedagogicznej, którzy zwracają uwagę na zaniedbywanie wychowawczych walorów obcowania z pięknem we współczesnym kształceniu i wychowaniu. Podsumowanie: Wychowawcze wymiary oddziaływania piękna jako pryzmatu dobra należy wiązać z kształtowaniem wrażliwości na piękno i budzeniem potrzeby jego urzeczywistniania w działaniach będących wyrazem afirmacji nierozerwalnej triady - prawdy, dobra i piękna.
    Introduction: The research issues undertaken in this article concern beauty from perspective of the role in which it becomes a prism of good. The presented theoretical analyzes of the discussed concepts and phenomena reference was made to the need to use beauty as a prism of good in education and upbringing, indicating that the fulfillment of this need is an important reponse to contemporary educational challenges. Research Aim: The aim of the undertaken analysis is to draw attention to the possibilities of using this aspect of the impact of beauty in education, wherein experiencing it becomes an experience sensitizing to good, triggering a longing for good and beauty, and inspiring to search for these values in one’s own life. Evidence-based Facts: The presented analyses, based on references to source literature, refer to the ancient interpretation of beauty as a category with ethical, spiritual and aestetic dimensions. References were made to the views in which attention is paid to contemporary cultural tendencies that are an expression of references to beauty, references far from its understanding as a value combined with good. Reference was also made to the views of these representatives of pedagogical thought who attention to the neglect of the value of beauty in modern upbringing. Summary: The presented analyzes are concluded with the conclusion that the educational dimensions of the impact of beauty as a prism of good should be associated with shaping sensitivity to beauty and awakening the need to implement this value in activities that are an expression of affirmation of the inseparable triad – truth, good and beauty.

    The article raises the topic of good manners and upbringing in the People’s Republic of Poland using the example of children’s and young adult press from the period. The author analysed 24 issues of Płomyczek from 1968 considering literature in education, upbringing strategies, and etiquette. Leaving aside the issues of propaganda and ideology, she enriched the analysis by considering the political history of Poland during the period of the “minor stabilisation”.
    Artykuł podejmuje tematykę dobrych manier i wychowania w okresie PRL na przykładzie ówczesnej prasy dziecięcej i młodzieżowej. Autorka przeanalizowała 24 numery pisma Płomyczek z 1968 r. przy użyciu literatury z zakresu dydaktyki, strategii wychowawczych, a także etykiety i savoir-vivre. Abstrahując od zagadnień propagandy i ideologii, wzbogaciła swą analizę o historię polityczną Polski z okresu „małej stabilizacji”.
