    Opis:
    The paper characterises the process of the globalisation of world economy after World War Two, focusing on its specific properties in particular decades of the twentieth century. In the first years following the Second World War trade dominated in the international relations. In the 1970s and 1980s the prime mover of the process of globalisation was played by the international capital transfer. From the mid-1980s, however, it was investigations of international corporations and technology transfer that became important. In line with the globalisation of world economy there is a process of economic integration, the process that accelerates the expansion of international corporations abroad.

    Opis:
    The first period of the development of “modern” international corporation falls on the end of the 19th century an early 20th century. It was then that due to innovations in communication it was made possible to co-ordinate and control corporations on the international scale. After the Second World War international corporations actively joined the formation of international economic relations, above all in international trade and foreign investments. Analysing the development and activity of international corporations according to their origin, one may distinguish three stages: the years 1945-1972 – the period of the domination of American corporations; the years 1973-1984 – the period of intensive expansion and an increase in importance of European and Japanese corporations; the period from 1985 on – the economic triad in the world and corporations of the three economic world centres become more important. The fact that the triad system took place is connected with a strong concentration of localisation of mother international corporations in the highly-developed countries, and small importance in the world economy of the corporations from the developing countries. Due to the growing importance of the corporations in shaping international economic relations, this situation makes it that differences increase in the economic development of countries and regions.

    Opis:
    The paper focusses on selected aspects of economic security of states in the open economy. The battle for dominance and security primarily takes place in the field of economics (regardless of temporary disraptions in this regard). Participation in distribution of benefits from international division of labour is analyzed from the perspective of export competitiveness, based on modern production factors. The export of products from the techno- and scienceintensive industries is also seen as a basis for intensifying the state’s participation in the dominant intra-industry model of international trade (including between highly developed EU countries). The economic security of the state is also analysed in the context of mamaging the financial and economic crisis in the world and in EU itself. In the context of the issues raised above, it is therefore important to answer the question about the challenges facing Poland in view of economic security in a globalized world. An attempt to answer the questions posed is presented at the end of the study, after a theoretical and empirical analysis of the abovementioned cases.
    Referat koncentruje się na wybranych aspektach bezpieczeństwa ekonomicznego państwa w warunkach postępującej liberalizacji rynków i ogólnoświatowej tendencji do integracji gospodarczej (mimo chwilowych zakłóceń w tym względzie). Udział w podziale korzyści z międzynarodowego podziału pracy jest analizowany z perspektywy konkurencyjności strukturalnej produkcji zatem m.in. eksportu, opartego na nowoczesnych czynnikach produkcji. Eksport produktów z branży technointensywnej i naukochłonnej jest jednocześnie rozpatrywany jako baza dla intensyfikacji udziału państwa w dominującym na świecie - nowoczesnym wewnatrzgałęziowym – modelu handlu międzynarodowego (w tym w handlu między krajami wysoko rozwiniętymi w UE). Bezpieczeństwo ekonomiczne państwa w gospodarce otwartej jest analizowane również w kontekście zarządzania kryzysem finansowo-gospodarczym w świecie oraz w samej UE. W kontekście wyżej podnoszonych zagadnień istotnym jest zatem odpowiedź na pytanie co do wyzwań jakie stoją przed Polską, mając na względzie bezpieczeństwo ekonomiczne w zglobalizowanym świecie. Próba odpowiedzi na postawione pytania jest zaprezentowana w zakończeniu opracowania, po uprzedniej teoretyczno-empirycznej analizie rzeczonych wyżej przypadków w zarysie.
