Opis:
Every day a teacher, especially a speech therapist who works with the youngest children, uses a variety of texts that are helpful in improving the child language. Cognitive, therapeutic and educational values (and learning outcomes) presented in A Songbook for Children [Śpiewnik dla dzieci] by Maria Konopnicka multiply educational and therapeutic benefits, which is usually achieved by a set of repeated language and articulation exercises. It should be emphasized that the poet uses a beautiful poetic language that is tailored to the developmental needs of the child. What is more, even in the 21st century Konopnicka’s style of writing should be appreciated as it is so simple that makes a child repeat her songs easily and with pleasure. This is why, frequently repeated sequences of words may contribute to correct pronunciation.

Opis:
Liryka A. Barskiego jest różnotematyczna. Zrozumienie zagadnień estetycznych jest jednym z ważnym aspektów interpretacyjnych. A. Barski źródła poezji upatruje w życiu, a swojej w pięknie otaczającej przyrody i zabytków kultury, które stymulują twórczość. Liryka A. Barskiego jest autopsychologiczna, podmiot liryczny to osoba bliska duchowo autorowi. A. Barski docenia prawdziwość i szczerość autora-twórcy. Zakres funkcji poezji z punktu widzenia A. Barskiego jest szeroki. Poeta wyróżnia takie funkcje, jak rozbudzanie ludzkiej wyobraźni, reprezentowanie rzeczywistości, ewaluacyjne, mnemoniczne i hermeneutyczne, a także funkcję oryginalną – funkcję zachowania młodości człowieka w procesie twórczym.
A. Barski's lyrical works approach different themes. The understanding of aesthetic issues is not the least important among them. A. Barski sees the origins of poetry in general in life, and bases his own poetry on the beauty of the surrounding nature and the cultural monuments that stimulate his creative activity. A. Barski's poems are autopsychological, that is to say, the poet's lyrical hero is spiritually close to the author. A. Barski appreciates the truthfulness and sincerity of the author-creator. The range of functions of poetry, from the point of view of A. Barski, is wide. The poet singles out such functions as the function of awakening the human imagination, the representation of reality, evaluation, mnemonics and hermeneutics, as well as the original poetic function – the function of preserving youth in the creative process.

Opis:
The subject of the article is the aesthetic reception of concrete poetry and the possibility of its use in foreign language classes. Reception aesthetics concentrates on the reception of the work and not its production. Concrete poetry works on sight and hearing, combines decoding of letters with visual perception and creates special opportunities for aesthetic reception in foreign language classes. The article draws attention to the phenomenon of text communication. The historical background and the first attempts to experiment with concrete poetry are discussed. Works of concrete poetry bring together aesthetics and didactics, which justifies their use in class. The functions and objectives of working with concrete poetry in the lesson are discussed and examples of works included in textbooks and examples of lesson scenarios are given.

Opis:
This paper offers an analysis of (prevalently feminine) curses which come to being within the text of the epic songs. This specific form of cursing is particularly pointed in the curses by mother’s milk. Both in tradition and in the epics, these curses are equal to taboo, which means that nobody dares disobey them: such is the deep belief in their efficiency. Because there is no discrimination in the epics about who can or cannot make a curse (everybody can: narrator/singer, protagonists, antagonists, heroes and their foes, messengers, mothers, wives, godmothers, sisters, brothers, fairies, forests, etc.), focusing on the parental and lovers’ curse is necessary for the sake of congruence. This will  help in spotting the interactive patterns in the structure of epic songs more accurately. The analysis is done on the corpus of approximately 1500 epic songs described at the end of this paper.

Opis:
The article is a research attempt to show the participation of a group of negative adjectives and adjectival participles formed using prefixes nie- and bez- in 8 romantic poems representing the textual corps of Polish romantic poetry. The negatives with prefix nie- are nine times more numerous than negatives formed using prefix bez-. Almost each negative is in romantic poems less numerous than his not negative equivalent. The participation of negatives reach 1,45% of the vocabulary and 0,34% of the text of analyzed corps. From among 7 romantic poets C. Norwid uses negatives most willingly. Most frequently represented are negatives: niemy, nieruchomy, niewinny, nieznajomy and niezwykły. Negatives in romantic poems are used for semantic and stylistic purposes. Most often they serve the poets to specify the description of characters and things.
