    One of the natural phenomena in Poland are autumn and spring frosts. These occurrences are a serious threat to agricultural crops of vegetables, fruits and flowers. The article present the classifications of frosts and their regional presence in Poland. It also points to the losses caused by frosts and the frequency of their occurrence. This article is useful especially for the calculation of the rate of insurance collections.

    This paper analysed the direction and the degree of significance of changes in selected indicators of climate risk for grain maize in the long-term period of 1985-2014 for the Bydgoszcz region. On the basis of meteorological data originating from the Research Station of the Bydgoszcz University of Science and Technology in Mochełek, the following unfavourable weather factors for maize cultivation were determined: a shortened period of plant active growth, the occurrence of late spring ground frosts, meteorological droughts and agricultural droughts. On the basis of the research conducted, a high temporal variability was found for weather conditions that are unfavourable for maize cultivation, as such conditions occurred with varied frequency, depending on the type of the adverse factor and the assumed criterion for its determination. No significant trends were found regarding the changes in the examined climate risk indicators for production of maize grain over the period between 1985 and 2014, apart from an increase in the number of moderate and strong late spring frosts. The research demonstrated an increase in temporal variability of the length of the plant active growth period and the occurrence of moderate and strong late spring frosts, as well as a clear decrease in temporal variability of maize water supply in 2000-2014 as compared to the previous 15-year period of 1984-1999.

    Opis:
    The first aim of this article is an attempt to explain some terminological questions in the field of texts interpretation, here especially of poetry, which bears the character of a theological source (locus theologicus). This aim has been achieved by the idea of the right application of a text, which means respect for its original meaning and at the same time the transition of this meaning beyond the line of direct analysis and interpretation to an outer circle of religious and spiritual issues. This idea in its two forms of the yes- or the yes but-application shows how reading poetry can stimulate life decisions and shape somebody’s spiritual attitude.The second aim of my paper is to expose the right application through the motive of going beyond which has emerged from the poetical work by Robert Frost – one of the most outstanding and prominent artists of the twentieth century.
    Pierwszym celem niniejszego artykułu jest próba uporządkowania pewnych terminologicznych kwestii w zakresie interpretacji tekstów, szczególnie poezji posiadającej status miejsca teologicznego (locus theologicus). Ów cel został zrealizowany przez propozycję wprowadzenia pojęcia właściwej aplikacji tekstu (the right application), która oznacza pełne respektowanie oryginalnego znaczenia tekstu z jednoczesnym przeniesieniem go poza granicę ścisłej analizy i interpretacji do kręgu problematyki życia duchowego i religijnego. W swoich dwóch formach, aplikacji pozytywnej (yes-application) oraz warunkowej (yes but-application), właściwa aplikacja ukazuje, jak czytanie poezji może stymulować życiowe decyzje i określać kształt duchowości.Drugim celem artykułu jest praktyczne przedstawienie tej idei poprzez opracowanie motywu przekraczania granic, zaczerpniętego z poezji Roberta Frosta, jednego z najwybitniejszych i wspaniałych artystów dwudziestego stulecia.
