The climate of a high-altitude postglacial cirque, such as Kozia Dolinka, is conducive to the occurrence of permafrost. Both the depth of permafrost and the area it covers, as well as the presence of year-round snow patches, can serve as indicators for assessing the impact of global warming on the climate of mountains, including the Tatras. With few meteorological stations to survey the remote and inaccessible high-altitude areas of the Tatra Mountains, any research must rely on measurements spanning limited time periods. Against this background, the 5-year series of temperature measurements from the Kozia Dolinka cirque obtained by the Institute of Geography and Spatial Organization of the Polish Academy of Sciences (IGiPZ PAN) can be used to analyze air temperature patterns on concave and convex terrain forms in the alpine climate zone if compared to the results of measurements from stations of the State Hydrological and Meteorological Service located nearby, i.e. the Kasprowy Wierch HighMountain Meteorological Observatory and the Hala Gąsienicowa Nival Research Station of the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management, National Research Institute (IMGW-PIB). This study confirms that there is a relationship between air temperature and the formation and duration of snow cover on concave and convex terrain forms. It also reveals a hitherto unknown fact that concave terrain forms, i.e. postglacial cirques, of the alpine zone have milder thermal conditions in winter than convex terrain forms. The analyses highlight the need for further, more detailed research using modern automated meteorological stations.

Kuduro is a type of music and dance which was created in the capital city of Angola (Luanda) at the end of 1980’. It combines batida with electronic music such as techno and house and also with rap, originating from US. The paper presenting this type of dance starts with its general characteristic, then continues describing factors influencing current shape and functions of kuduro. Next, we present in details the movements of this dance and conclude with an overview of the dance forms and the definition of kuduro dance which summarize the information presented in the paper.

Using the experiences of German companies as a basis, this article presents possibilities for applying forms of flexiwork to restore work-life balance. The strong development of flexiwork observable in Germany for many years has contributed to businesses working out a multitude of solutions that effectively support the realization of workers' plans involving their private lives. The article discusses the strong and weak points of the most popular forms of flexible work, as well as tools enabling an assessment of the costs and benefits involved in the implementation of instruments aiding the work-life balance, including forms of flexiwork.

The present article deals with the semantics of tense forms of Präteritum and Perfectum in German. The author questions all the widely known theories on the meaning of Präteritum and Perfectum, demonstrating that, on the one hand, the complex past tense (Perfectum) does not always express both temporality and aspectuality (perfectivity), but also only temporality itself. On the other hand, the simple past tense (Präteritum) always contains both temporality and aspectuality, except for lexically-conditioned cases.

This paper shows important trends on the contemporary labor market in the area of forms of employment. Possibilities for the implementation of flexible forms of employment in the shipbuilding industry are demonstrated in experience gained through the EUROSTER Project, financed by the European Social Fund. The paper examines the best employment structures for use in the businesses of this industry. Professions that can be performed applying flexible forms of employment are also looked at. Research among the managerial staff of the shipbuilding industry is used to present opinions on implementation of such forms and structures. Lastly, this paper looks at problems linked with barriers to undertaking changes in forms of employment in the companies.

Greetings and goodbyes in written internet interactions. A comparative franco-polish study of mothers discussion forums The paper studies greetings and goodbyes in the mothers discussion forums in order to find out, on the one hand, the contemporary tendencies in French and Polish, and on the other hand, the cultural variations of the interactional practices of the Internet users. In our case, we identify them in the field of politeness of the written interactions where the openings and the closing forms contribute to set up and sustain politeness, apoliteness or hyperpoliteness of the speech (Kerbrat-Orecchioni 2005 : 209). We also try to observe how the genre influences these practices.

The deep changes in Polish legal system and economy that took place after 1989 contributed to the emergence of new challenges for public administration. The legislator, in order to satisfy growing numbers of social demands, appointed new tasks and created a new legal form of action for public administration entities. However, not every of the new forms were fitted to classically understood administrative law. Part of this new forms at the same time combines some features characteristic for administrative law as well as typical for civil law, which gives them untypical (hybrid) character. As an example, there can be mentioned: civil law contracts with so called “overlays” (obligatory additional conditions) imposed by certain legal acts as well as administrative settlements and administrative contracts. The aim of this article is to analyze those hybrid forms of action of public administration entities in terms of implementation the objectives of regulation set by the legislator.

The paper aims to present the concept of empowerment as a means to modernise the teacher’s organisational activity. As a result of literature review, the article provides an interpretation of empowerment, emphasising its potential to drive transformative changes in various educational contexts. Additionally, the text elucidates the benefits that can arise from restructuring the current school system, teaching methods, and collaborative practices. The research conducted by the McKinsey group was used to highlight the personal qualities essential for the effective implementation of empowerment across different organisational forms. Furthermore, attention is directed towards the drawbacks of empowerment, including the potential for teacher abuse of power and coercion, resulting in the suppression of student subjectivity and independent action. To sum up all the considerations, it is underscored that the teacher and students, with their unique strengths and weaknesses, play pivotal roles in organising the teaching process, fostering a school team dynamic through the application of empowerment principles.
Celem niniejszego tekstu jest prezentacja koncepcji empowermentu jako sposobu usprawnienia działalności organizacyjnej nauczyciela. W wyniku badań literaturowych w artykule przedstawiono interpretację empowermentu, podkreślając potencjał w zakresie prowadzenia do zmian transformacyjnych w różnych kontekstach edukacyjnych. Ponadto w tekście wyjaśniono korzyści wynikające z przeobrażania dotychczasowej struktury szkoły, form nauczania i pracy w zespole. Wykorzystano badania przeprowadzone przez grupę McKinseya uwydatniające znaczenie osobowych przymiotów niezbędnych do skutecznego wdrażania empowermentu w różnych formach organizacyjnych. Zwrócono także uwagę na wady empowermentu, w tym na możliwości nadużywania władzy przez nauczyciela i stosowania przymusu, co może skutkować tłumieniem podmiotowości uczniów i ich niezależnego działania. Reasumując całość rozważań, zaakcentowano, że nauczyciel i uczniowie, ze swoimi mocnymi i słabymi stronami, odgrywają kluczową rolę w organizowaniu procesu nauczania, wspierając dynamikę zespołu szkolnego poprzez stosowanie zasad empowermentu.

The development of flexible forms of work is one of the most discussed problems concerning the contemporary labor market. This article presents thoughts on the evolution of the concept of flexibility and its types to date. The presence of both negative and positive aspects of flexible solutions from the point of view of employers and employees is stressed. Potential applications of flexible forms of work improving relations between the professional and personal lives of workers are presented. The last section is devoted to factors impeding the introduction and use of flexible forms of work in Poland - legal regulations and a lack of awareness of organizational and time-based solutions and their methods of implementation.

A psychological analysis of the functioning of people in the work envi- ronment has been conducted on the basis of the results of quantitative research carried out among workers employed in nine forms of flexible employment, drawing on a model of selected psychological variables, in- cluding employment choice autonomy, attribution of organizational mem- bership, form and content of psychological contract, and attitudes towards work and social skills, including personal flexibility and assertive behav- iour. Work satisfaction in flexible types of employment has also been stud- ied, along with the psychological cost associated with this type of employment.

The article provides an analysis of life forms of 9 floristic complexes of the Ketpen ridge on the basis of many years of research materials, where life forms were studied in each floristic complex according to the systems of K. Raunkiaer and I.G. Serebryakov. An analysis of life forms according to the system of K. Raunkiaer established the dominance of hemicryptophytes in cryophilic-meadow (74.8%), petrophilic (72.5%) and deciduous-forest (80.3%) floristic complexes of the Ketpen ridge, which accounted for the total number of species of complexes. The second large group in terms of the number of species corresponded to cryptophytes, which predominate in the cryophilic-meadow (65.3%) and psammophilic (45.9%) floristic complexes. Distribution of species according to life forms according to I.G. Serebryakov demonstrated a clear predominance of polycarpic in the meadow complex amounting to 82.5%, deciduous-forest – 81.7%, psammophilous – 75.9% and steppe – 79.4% floristic complexes of the total number of species of complexes. An analysis of the meadow floristic complex of the Ketpen ridge according to Serebryakov showed that taproot plants account for 128 species or 20.5%, short-rhizome – 18.4%, long-rhizome – 11.3%, turf-rhizomatous – 4.8%. An analysis of the life forms of the psammophilic floristic complex revealed the prevalence of therophytes (40.7%). It was found that the spectrum of life forms according to Raunkiaer and Serebryakov emphasizes the peculiarities of the floristic complexes of the Ketpen ridge.

The paper describes a relief intensity factor (RIF) as a method to: 1) recognize main forms of the young-glacial landscape; 2) characterize their morphometry; 3) determine their changes due time and different conditions, as well as 4) compare forms on different altitudes. It consists of three factors: relative height RH and neighborhood NH (counted on the basis of DTM) and also a structure of forms STR – their grain composition GC and the shape FS (relied on geological maps). The model of the Pomeranian relief intensity allows to predict characteristic values for selected postglacial landscape forms. Taking into account the range of the I – III quartile, these values are as follows: for marginal lake basins – 3-6 (mean 4.25); for proglacial stream valleys – 4-7 (5.66); for outwash plains – 6-9 (7.88); for hills consisting of the glacial till (end moraines, ground moraine) and also kames and eskers – 8-12, mean 9.20-10.33 (end moraines 10-12, mean 10.52).

The problem of development of the forms of help being given to a child and family by local governments has been attracting the society's attention in Poland since the beginning of the 1990 s. The analyzed forms of family and child in local communities is only a certain element of the whole care and educational system aimed at achieving European standards. Short statistics of the described reports of the Ministry ofWork and Social Politics and the data of Santa Claus Fund have allowed the author to look into the development of these kinds of help operating in local communities over last decade. Describing the tasks of parish and district councils can differentiate after the legislator the most significant forms of care and support for families in children such as protected flats, specialized family guidance, special centers for families in crisis, day care homes, educational centers, community centers, social and therapeutic centers and clubs. The reformed system of child and family care in Poland is based on the development of family support and preventive actions that correspond with the international law and good practice standards and the main stream of changes in the countries- members of the European Union. The proposed contents are to get people acquainted with the issues of care, upbringing, support and professional assistance for a child and family in their environment.
