The concerns related with functioning of the companies providing the security services in Poland is presented in this papers in broad extent. Such companies are called Professional Armed Security Formations (SUFO) (pol. Specjalistyczne Uzbrojone Formacje Ochroniarskie (SUFO)). This article gives insight into basic terms, as well as into the role and tasks of companies handling with provision of security services. The article also presents the forms of cooperation with selected services, such as: Police, State Fire Service and other similarly important ones, statutorily enacted for the performance of functions related with internal security.

Current concept of interferometric missions assume that they employ formations of spacecraft. The cooperation between members of a multisatellite formation is a challenging problem. One of the main difficulties is to implement a reliable system for position control and actuation. A precise control of the position and orientation of each satellite in the array is a key factor in obtaining high quality images of distant objects. The controlling system should frequently collect data about geometry and kinematics of all array elements and use actuators to keep them as close as possible to their nominal positions. Forces that are required for actuation or array reconfiguration in space can be produced by engines of various types. In most cases chemical propulsion is used, with a drawback of limited fuel resources and a danger of polluting optical elements. In our work, we analyze dynamics of satellite formation flight, in which interaction forces result from electromagnetic fields generated by coils with current. We use simple controller equation proposed by members of MIT team to control a formation of two or three aligned satellites rotating around the array's mass center.

This study offers a cognitive linguistic account of a few remarkably innova-tive uses of proper names to denote units of measure in utterances related to current political issues in Poland, which are delivered with ironic, sarcastic or humorous intent (such as jachiry and ziemce). The novel words, which are all nonce-formations, are minor conversions. They occur preceded by numerals and are pluralised. The coinages creatively elaborate on the morphological and semantic pattern utilised in scientific terminological eponyms (such as niutony and bubnoffy). The focus of this contribution is placed on metonymies and metaphors that motivate the form and content of the coinages.

In the years 2014–2016 two scientific units, i.e. Faculty of Drilling, Oil and Gas, AGH UST and Oil and Gas Institute – National Research Institute cooperated on the realization of a project called Optidrilltec. A group of innovative recipes of slurries to be used for sealing wellbores in shale formations were worked out. Both fresh and hardened cement slurries should meet restrictive technological requirements, therefore this issue was in the focus of the conducted research. Laboratory experiments were performed on high-class research and control/measurement equipment, thanks to which innovative recipes of cement slurries for sealing casing in shale gas formations could be worked out. These recipes comply with standards and can be successfully used as read-made applications for sealing casing installed in shale formations.

Opis:
Janko of Czarnków Chronicle has been subject to the onomastic analysis. In consequence, 324 naming formations have been excerpted. The first onimic category distinguished in Chronicle are monomial formations. In the oldest source materials we may observe that apart from a single proper noun, there appear different kinds of notions allowing more precise characteristic. Z. Kowalik-Kaleta named them individual terms. There was a tendency to group them directly after a single proper noun. This is how definite descriptions originated. Elaborated definite descriptions were avoided and abbreviated forms were preferable. Locative prepositional phrases originated from locative descriptions. Patronymic descriptions transformed into synthetic forms with nominal suffixes: -ic, -icz, -owic, -owicz, -ek, -ka, -ko, -ik, -yk, -czyk, -ec, -ak, -czak, -ę, -ęta. Analytical locative prepositional phrases transformed into synthetic adjectival forms into -ski, -sky. Moreover, in Janko of Czarnków Chronicle we may distinguish such onimic categories as anthroponomical appelativa and proto names of foreign origin. On the basis of the analyzed linguistic material it should be concluded that medieval Polish language used different onimic categories.

The Lower Paleozoic shales of SW Sweden and Eastern Pomerania (Poland) have a common history related to the depositional and tectonic evolution of the Baltic Basin. The major tectonic events are recorded, among others, as joints, which are either exposed in outcrops in SW Sweden or recognised in deep boreholes located in Pomerania. We present a comparison of the regional joint systems recognized by multiple methods in the studied region. In effect of a statistical compilation of measurements, five joint sets (named JS 1 to JS 5) were identified, traceable between Eastern Pomerania and SW Sweden. Our analysis showed a general consistency of joint set orientations, independent of their distance to the Tornquist tectonic zone passing through the study region. Three of the joint sets, JS 1 striking NNE, JS 2 striking WNW, and JS 3 striking NNW, are found to be the most frequent sets, occurring in most sites. Having more constant orientation, the JS 1 and JS 3 served as indicators of possible rotation of the tectonic block or stress field in the region. JS 1 and JS 2 are interpreted as an effect of late Carboniferous stress relaxation after Variscan collision, while JS 3 and the E–W striking JS 4 might be related to the Early Devonian Caledonian compressive stage.

Each state has created own way of managing crisis situations. The measure of effectiveness of the system is tools and principles according to specfi c decisions should be made. Opis:
The article contains an analysis of the word formation of proper names which are used in the texts of advertisements. The analyzed examples are drawn from the texts of advertisements found on television, radio, press, the Internet etc. which were produced at the end of 20 th century and the beginning of 21 st century. The article analyses two categories of these proper names: word formations which are used in contemporary Polish language (f.e. Robuś, Marysia, Stefcia, Kasia, Jasio, Krzyś, Rozalka, Basia, Bartuś, Sabinka, Julka, Karinka, Tomek, Adaś, Goździkowa) and neologisms f.e. Zapobiegalska, Zarażalski, Kichalska, Krzywonogi, Przyklapiusz, Musztarderowie, TurboDymoMan, SuperEs, Zozolka, Łazienkowo). The analysis conducted in the article proves that both types of proper names, which are word formation derivatives, appear relatively often in the texts of advertisements. This is the case since they are easy to form (advertisements take the majority of them from usage) and can perform many functions, which advertisements willingly use for their own needs. Proper names that are word formation derivatives and just proper names serve mainly as an assessment as they connote the values appreciated both culturally and socially and the values attributed to proper names are carried on the advertised products. Proper names which are derivatives create a desired picture of advertised products more expressively than other proper names, thanks to their clear word formation structure. Moreover, they expose their commercial assets so they fully use and at the same time cocreate the system of values of consumption culture.

Globalna pandemia spowodowała cierpienie wielu osób, także w aspekcie religijnym, stąd religie stanęły przed zadaniem ponownego zbadania swych założeń społecznych. Pojawiła się konieczność analizy niektórych reguł życia w społeczeństwach, w których zjawisko koronawirusa zrodziło trudne pytania egzystencjalne i religijne. W tym kontekście należałoby się przyjrzeć przede wszystkim kondycji wolności religijnej w Europie. Wspieranie wspólnot i stowarzyszeń, w których można realizować wolność religijną, powinno należeć do fundamentalnych celów każdego państwa. Ludzie wierzący bowiem mają wobec państwa konkretne oczekiwania. Szczególna sytuacja, jaką jest pandemia, wymaga tego, by religie odnalazły swoje nowe funkcje, skoncentrowane na wartości osoby. To może doprowadzić do zdefiniowania wspólnej tożsamości i zagwarantować „te wartości integracji społecznej i wspólnotowej, które wydają się dziś szczególnie ważne”. Obecnie religie w sposób wyraźny domagają się od instytucji europejskich ochrony swoich interesów, ponieważ powinno to leżeć u podstaw współżycia społecznego. Dialog ten staje się instrumentem prawnym do konstrukcji legislacyjnej poprzez tworzenie odpowiednich programów. W obliczu wyzwań i potrzeb wynikających ze współistnienia społecznego i międzynarodowego religie muszą stać się częścią procesu demokratycznego, nie zapominając i nie zdradzając autentyczności swojego przesłania religijnego, a jednocześnie nie warunkując i nie obciążając rozwoju demokracji.
The global pandemic has produced rules that impose suffering on religions, which must now reconsider their social role. This entails the need to examine the rules of coexistence within societies, where the COVID-19 phenomenon raises existential and religious questions. We need to look at the condition of the state of religious freedom, referring – in the European context – to globalisation in a climate of restriction of personal, social, and religious freedom. This complexity has underlined the role of states and delimited competences regarding relations with religions. Because building relationships with communities and associations where religious freedom is expressed is fundamental, believers are therefore bearers of specific interests. This particular situation calls for a new function for religions, focused on the value of the person, which can lead to a common identity and guarantee of “those values of social and community integration that seem particularly discovered today”. Today, religious confessions not only create a qualifying moment in the European process, but they act concretely, asking the European institutions to protect religious interests because these are an expression of values at the basis of civil coexistence. Gradually, dialogue becomes an instrument that is used juridically as part of the legislative construction through the production of appropriate programs. In the face of the challenges and needs resulting from social and international coexistence, religions must become part of the democratic process without forgetting and betraying the authenticity of their religious message and, at the same time, without conditioning or mortgaging the development of democracy.

The current economic crisis is having a strong impact on socio-economic processes in the development of Russian cities. The impact of the crisis is particularly strong on city territory where the activity of core industrial enterprises, military units or similar institutions has been stopped. In such cases, the situation is directly related to the functioning of military units or one industrial enterprise responsible for the formation of the city. In these cities, the socio-economic situation is unstable and is close to stressful. The average level of unemployment is growing, and the population rate is decreasing. The subject of this article is associated with the processes taking place in areas that are closed administrative-territorial formations (ZATO) of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation in post-Soviet space. The closed town Zvezdniy will be presented as an example.

We assess the suitability of luminescence (TL and OSL) dating techniques for establishing a precise Late Pleistocene chronology for the northern Baltic area, and show on the basis of the fine sand/coarse silt fraction of subaqueous deposits, how sedimentological composition influences the dates obtained. Turbidity, loading by fine suspended material, water depth, velocity of outwash streams and transport length, and also perhaps rapid night-time sedimentation and incorporation of older, unbleached particles are factors that variably influence the extent of bleaching of the luminescence signal, and thus, cause variability of dates obtained. Alongside reliable dates for "late-glacial" deposits between 11 000-15 000 OSL years BP, many entirely unreliable dates from 8 000 ±300 to 114 000 ±8 000 OSL years BP have been obtained. This means that the age determination of glaciofluvial deposits is extremely difficult in practice. This applies particularly to intermorainic sediments, the exact genesis of which is unknown. The paper is addressed to the investigators wishing to use luminescence dating techniques to establishing the Pleistocene chronostratigraphy of glaciofluvial deposits.

W prowincji Alberta w zachodniej Kanadzie występują trzy formacje solonośne: Lotsberg (Dolny i Górny), Cold Lake i Prairie Evaporite. Wchodzą one w skład dewońskiego basenu solonośnego Elk Point Group będącego częścią dużego basenu sedymentacyjnego zachodniej Kanady. Sole kamienne występujące w formacjach Lotsberg i Cold Lake są mocno zmienione diagenetycznie i zawierają bardzo niskie zawartości bromu. W związku z gwałtownie rosnąca eksploatacją węglowodorów, a w szczególności ciężkiej ropy z piasków roponośnych formacje solonośne Lotsberg i Prairie Evaporite mają coraz większe znaczenie gospodarcze i wykorzystywane są do lokalizacji kawern magazynowych oraz kawern do utylizacji odpadów poprodukcyjnych.
In Province of Alberta, in Western Canada there are three salt units: the Lower Lotsberg, the Upper Lotsberg, the Cold Lake and the Prairie Evaporite Formation. All these units are contained within the Devonian Elk Point Group that is part of The Western Canada Sedimentary Basin. Lotsberg and Cold Lake salts are diagenetically modified and contain very low bromide content. Only Lotsberg and Prairie Evaporite Formations have commercial thickness and they are more and more used for salt cavern location, both storage and disposal.
