    Opis:
    The current study is a simplification of related components of large floating roof tank and modeling for three dimensional temperature field of large floating roof tank. The heat transfer involves its transfer between the hot fluid in the oil tank, between the hot fluid and the tank wall and between the tank wall and the external environment. The mathematical model of heat transfer and flow of oil in the tank simulates the temperature field of oil in tank. Oil temperature field of large floating roof tank is obtained by numerical simulation, map the curve of central temperature dynamics with time and analyze axial and radial temperature of storage tank. It determines the distribution of low temperature storage tank location based on the thickness of the reservoir temperature. Finally, it compared the calculated results and the field test data; eventually validated the calculated results based on the experimental results.

Obliczenia możliwe są dla zbiorników z dachem stałym lub pływającym, o różnych rozwiązaniach konstrukcyjnych. Przedstawiono możliwości wykorzystania programu jako narzędzia pomocniczego przy podejmowaniu decyzji dotyczących modernizacji, bądź projektowania nowych zbiorników, przeznaczonych do magazynowania benzyny.
    TANKS is a Windows-based computer software program that estimates emissions formed as a result of volatile organic compounds storage, also including petroleum fuels. The estimations are possible for the tanks with fixed and floating roofs of different construction. There are presented some examples of this program application as a supplementary tool for making decisions concerning retrofitting or construction of new tanks designed for gasoline storage.

    Opis:
    In the conceptual design of an ecological floating dock, has been assumed to be applied a roof system consisted of six movable segments whose aim is to shelter dock’s working space from environmental influence. The dock has to be also equipped with a gantry crane. Each of the devices is fitted with a traction system whose drive is the subject of this paper. The driving system consisted of synchronous electric motors with external frequency control of their rotational speed, is proposed. Such system may ensure the same rotational speed at both supports, unambiguously determined by voltage frequency and independent of load. The solution could make it possible to avoid dangerous skewing displacements of the structures on rail tracks during service. Additionally, a simplified procedure of determining the main loads necessary for calculation and selection of the devices and traction systems is also presented.
