Pierwsze czytanie w liturgii Mszy o Najświętszej Maryi Pannie Bolesnej (Hbr 5,7–9) ukazuje, że Chrystus jako wiarygodny i miłosierny Arcykapłan nie tylko przyjął naturę człowieka, ale potrafił też skutecznie zaradzić ludzkiemu cierpieniu i śmierci. Dokonało się to dzięki złożonej przez Chrystusa ofierze, którą stanowiły Jego błagania i prośby zanoszone do Boga. Uległość i posłuszeństwo Syna Bożego sprawiły, że został On wysłuchany, a Ojciec przyjął Jego krzyżową ofiarę. W ten sposób Chrystus stał się sprawcą wiecznego zbawienia dla wszystkich, którzy Go słuchają.
The first reading in the liturgy of the Mass about the Blessed Virgin Mary (Heb 5:7–9) shows that Christ, as a credible and merciful High Priest, not only took on human nature, but was also able to effectively deal with human suffering and death. This was due to the sacrifice made by Christ, which was his plea and prayers to God. The submission and obedience of the Son of God made him heard and the Father received his cross offering. In this way, Christ became the author of eternal salvation for all who listen to him.

In the interwar period about 50 different types of guides for librarians and bookselling guides were published in Poland. Many of them contained mainly advices on setting up libraries, organizing them and gathering collections, but both types contained information on selection of books in terms of their educational function. 1) The aim of the research is the presentation of selected guides issued in Poland in 1918-1939, which were addressed to employees of various types of libraries: public, school, parish, home, etc. and their lists of books and recommendations depending on the targeted reader. 2) Materials and methods: selection of guides, comparative method, literature analysis, bibliographic method. 3) Applications are the answers to the following questions: Were the reading recommendations in the analyzed manuals addressed only to the book professionals, as an aid in completing book collections and making reading choices, or to the readers as well? Which educational models were most important, to what extent they referred to the curricula in schools? Whether censorship was taking place (they included titles that should not be read), etc.?

Evidence from Art (History), perceptual psychology, and (psycho-)linguistics support the claim that in Western culture (or rather within left-to-right writing languages), people depict or visualize more important or salient figures to the left. However, linguistics studies investigating this topic almost exclusively use active sentences with standard Subject-Verb-Object (SVO) syntax as stimuli, where the subject takes the role of an agent. However natural language exhibits much more syntactical variation. To determine if this pattern is also present when the less common syntax is used, we asked native German, Spanish, and Czech speakers (N=300) to draw situations representing ten sentences varying in syntactic structure. These drawings, simplified versions of the mental representation of the situation, provide a glimpse into the conceptualization of the scenes. The spatial placement of the agent figures in the sentences was coded. Results show that although the asymmetrical effect is strong in prototypical SVO sentences, where the subject has the function of an agent and the object a function of a patient, the effect is weaker or disappears in passive sentences, where the subject at the first position is a patient and object on the second position is an agent, as well as in topicalized (OVS) sentences. Furthermore, we found cross-linguistic differences, which suggests that the character of the bias is language-specific. We postulate that placing the agent to the left is only one of the factors influencing spatial placement. The other factor playing an important role is the naming order.

Objectives In this study, researchers aimed to (1) investigate how stuttering affects the learning process of first reading and writing, and (2) reveal the problems encountered by children with stuttering during the first literacy process and (3) shed light on further research in this area. Material and methods The research is a descriptive study to determine the problems that students with stuttering have experienced in the process of learning first literacy skills. In this study, semi-structured interviewing methods were chosen from the types of interviews included in the qualitative research methods in order to evaluate the problems encountered by the stuttering students in the process of learning literacy skills in a more in-depth manner in terms of their opinions, and experiences. Results The data obtained from semi-structured interviews and findings were obtained by analyzing by content analysis technique. During the interview, eight questions were asked to the participant. Conclusions When the research findings are examined, it is seen that students with stuttering have some difficulties in reading, writing, and hearing voice and syllable, while there is not a significant difference between them in reading and writing skills of voice, syllable and words in the process of first reading and writing. Teacher’s opinion revealed that stuttering students were particularly had more problems with the words or syllable starting with a strong consonant.

In the First Apology of Justin Martyr we find information about Christians and their practice of celebrating the Eucharist. In this work, the reading of the word was also described, which consisted of: one reading, preaching, oratio universalis, and also the kiss of peace during the administration of the sacrament of initiation together with the Holy Mass. The author of the article, using sources earlier than the First Apology, as well as those dated over a dozen or several decades after it, tries to present the contemporary state of the liturgy of the word along with its elements and its development. This allowed the identification and closer approach to the essential components of the liturgical activities performed during the Eucharist celebrated in the second century
W Apologii pierwszej św. Justyna Męczennika znajdujemy informacje o chrześcijanach i ich praktyce sprawowania Eucharystii. W dziele tym została opisana także lektura słowa, która składała się z jednej lektury, przepowiadania, oratio universalis, a także z pocałunku pokoju w czasie udzielania sakramentu inicjacji w czasie Mszy Świętej. Autor artykułu, korzystając ze źródeł wcześniejszych niż 1 Apologia, jak i tych datowanych na kilkanaście lub kilkadziesiąt lat po niej, starał się przybliżyć ówczesny stan liturgii słowa wraz z jej elementami oraz jej rozwój. Pozwoliło to na wskazanie i przybliżenie istotnych składników czynności liturgicznych sprawowanych w czasie Eucharystii celebrowanej w II wieku.
