    Theoretical background: The results of the conducted research allowed the classification of early-warning models according to the accuracy of the forecasts received for the last year of the study.Purpose of the article: The aim of the article was verification and prognostic assessment of discriminative models popular among researchers, answer to the question whether the model properly reflects the financial situation of the company.Research methods: The basis of all the methods used in this article was the analysis of existing data and methods of discriminant analysis.Main findings: The selected models properly reflected the financial situation of the 84 enterprises surveyed.

    Syntetyczna miara sytuacji finansowej przedsiębiorstwa jest użytecznym narzędziem w analizie sytuacji finansowej podmiotów gospodarczych. Zbudowana została na bazie diagnostycznych wskaźników kondycji ekonomicznej firmy, znormalizowanych, przyjmując za podstawę normalizacji ich wielkość krytyczną. W niniejszym artykule zbadano wrażliwość miary m na prawidłowość ustalenia wartości krytycznych mierników służących do ich budowy. Wykazano iż w przypadku znaczących zmian w otoczeniu przedsiębiorstwa, konieczne jest stałe monitorowanie wartości krytycznych i aktualizowanie ich.
    Synthetic measure of the enterprises financial situation is useful tool. In this article is mentioned research results, how neutral values of the diagnostic ratios used I build measure m, effects information, which gives measure m. When changes in the economic situation of the environment aren’t significant, one needn’t change m measure’s formula. When this changes are significant, one have to actualize m measure’s formula.

    Opis:
    Monitoring of a financial situation of enterprises is highly significant, what was proved by the latest world financial crisis. Such a monitoring will allow early identification of a threat, and thus undertaking preventive actions, which will protect from loses that may lead to a bankruptcy. Therefore, it is so significant to employed the verified analytical tools. The aim of the article is to present the methods of monitoring the financial situation of the company and directions for further research in this area. As part of the presents the essence of indicator analysis, with the release of its application to the quintessential area, namely financial liquidity. In the later part of the study are shown the directions of the development of new methods for monitoring the financial situation of the business entities that require further research.
