Analysis of the principles of determination and selection of prescribed final and intermediate yield applied in practice was carried out. The concept of life span assumes that old age is a period of development being a balance of gains and losses. Aging goes hand in hand with increasing losses and decreasing gains. The system theory perceives a human being as a psychophysical system which can be easily seen in critical periods, e.g. old age. Thus, it is assumed that psyche and soma are interdependent. Taking into consideration the way old age is perceived, the balance of way and the feeling of life control, one may assume that these factors may influence physical abilities and somatic health of an organism. Old age is not an illness but increased vulnerability to illnesses. Speaking objectively, one may say that age as a feature of getting old weakens the immunological system of the organism in a natural way and thus it increases the vulnerability to a variety of illnesses and decreases physical abilities. It is possible to avoid the physiological processes connected with aging. One may hypothesize, however, that a positive approach towards old age, good balance of life and a feeling of internal control slow down the processes of aging of cells and vice versa. The overall aim of slowing down these processes is not to prolong human life but to increase the quality of life. The research carried out was based on the assumption that the way a person sees his or her life, the balance of life and the feeling of control go hand in hand with physical agility. The research covered 436 people, i.e. 120 men and 316 women, all of them over 60. A set of mutual relationships of the indicated variables was determined and an analysis of repeated regression was made. The conclusion is: better balance of life and better positive self-image go hand in hand with better physical agility of the examined individuals. It is difficult to say which of the factors are primary or secondary. It seems that there is an interdependence.

This article analyses the role o f religious feelings concerning the regulation of the relations between spouses and between parents and children. According to the author, the term “religious feelings” should be distinguished from the term “freedom of conscience and belief’ which belongs to the personal rights. The view that religious feelings are also the personal  ights but of the subordinate nature must be rejected. The violation of religious feelings could be conceded as a reason for the breakdown o f marriage. Examining such violations, the subjective aspects should be taken into account. Parents are allowed to violate the personal rights of children connected with the religion when they are exercising their own rights deriving from parental authority or the right to upbringing children in a manner consistent with their own convictions. The unlawfulness of such actions is excluded because parents are acting in compliance with the law.

W pracy omówiono kilka rozwiązań chwytaków własnej konstrukcji, przeznaczonych do różnych zadań manipulacyjnych. Chwytaki zostały zaprojektowane i wykonane w celach badawczych, dotyczących m.in. zręcznej manipulacji z czuciem oraz manipulacji do celów usługowych. Konstrukcje powstały na rzecz laboratorium robotyki w Instytucie Automatyki i Informatyki Stosowanej Politechniki Warszawskiej. W ramach projektów szczególną uwagę poświęcono kształtowaniu charakterystyk chwytaków w zakresie pewności działania, funkcjonalności i łatwości obsługi. Zadbano również o to, aby poszczególne konstrukcje chwytaków zapewniały korzystną zmienność charakterystyk sił wywieranych na obiekt, zależnych od wielkości rozwarcia chwytaka związanej z wymiarami obiektu manipulowanego.
A number of grippers intended to various manipulation tasks are described in the paper. There are designed and built for research investigations of smart manipulation with "force feeling" and for service applications. Basic aims of described solutions are good characteristics of certaintity of manipulation, functionality and eases to service. Besides of that each solution assure good characteristic of force exerted to an object dependently of the dimension of manipulating object.

Opis:
Pedagogy as a practical domain is also interested in helping people. The article is particularly devoted to help through health education and social support in difficult situation. In the text the difficult situation is defined as critical event concerning either an objective occurence (e.g. chronic disease) or any other situation evaluated as „difficult”, „new” or causing anxiety. The purpose of pedagogic action is, among others, providing social support being approppriate to the needs, and educating supported person on experienced difficulty so as they could deal with given situation and could be aware of their potential and abilities. The final result of the help is the situation when supported person feels responsible for their health and life and acquires the skill of caring about themselves understood as selfcare. In the article the notion of selfcare is examined in three dimensions: caring about health, relationships with other people and feeling of safety.

Affective management is a new concept which suggests that top managers should take stakeholders’ affective experiences into account when making their management decisions. To show that this concept could contribute to the improvement of management performance in organizations, this study investigated the correlations between the affectiveness of top management and management performance indices. Our questionnaire based on the Affective Management Scorecard was employed to assess top managers’ recognition of the importance, as well as the actual practices of affective management. Top managers from 43 Thai organizations participated in the study. A correlation analysis was conducted to observe whether affective management indices would correlate with management performance indices, such as return on equity, return on assets, price to earnings ratio, and price to book value ratio. The findings showed that the results for organizations practicing affective management were positively correlated with their management performance in both profitability and good perceptions by investors.

In the following text the theoretical conception, the employed analysis methods and some first results of the research project “The Emotionalization of Religion” are presented. The aim of the project is to compare newer Christian congregations with a Pentecostal or evangelical orientation to Christian parishes affiliated with the Evangelical Church in Germany or the Roman Catholic Church with regard to their respective emotional culture. The employed method set includes several qualitative methods, such as videoanalysis, the analysis of guideline interviews and participant observation. A particular focus lies within the empirical paragraph on the question: What role do new types of media usage in Christian parishes play for the development, representation and analysis of new emotional styles?

In Japan, religion is still a current subject of educational discourse. This article presents a picture of the evolution of this discourse over the last two centuries. First, the article reconstructs transformations which have taken place in the relationship between education and religion in Japan, with particular emphasis on the period of Japanese educational reform. Then, on the basis of two items of school learning – lessons on morality and ethics – the current controversy is presented with regard to the relation between education and religion. In the first of these analyses, the question is primarily about how public schools deal with religion, and specifically with religious feeling. In the second, the author considers how these same schools transmit knowledge on topics related to different religions. Finally, the article discusses moments of continuity and change which appear with regard to the role to be attributed to religion in Japanese education.

The article is an attempt to present the linguistic explication of the feeling of fear in the Russian language. As it was proved by the linguistic data, the lexeme ‘fear’ (‘страх’) has several synonyms with different semantic value, such as ‘тревога’, ‘ужас’, ‘паника’. The feeling itself can be caused by real or irrational circumstances treated or estimated by the subject as threat. The paper analyses the expressions, phraseologisms and proverbs related to the feeling of fear. They present how the word ‘fear’ (‘страх’) is used in the language and on its semantic level. What is more, the phraseologisms prove that the majority of physical symptoms of the feeling ‘fear’ obtain their linguistic explication. Proverbs complete the received picture with the colloquial judgments about the importance of courage and the disapproval of fear.

Opis:
Diversity of contexts of the feeling of unreality, regarded as a phenomenological symptom of dissociative processes, is presented and discussed in the article. Seeking for the common denominator of such experiences, the author aims to relate the psychopathological tradition and non-pathological appearances of the feeling of unreality in everyday life, in the classics, as well as in relation to the research on altered states of consciousness. With reference to the concept of "directed dissociation" (Edges 2004) and the so-called "three place dissociation" (a therapeutic technique used in NLP), the author emphasizes adaptive aspects of dissociative processes. Finally, he poses a question: how should we describe, identify and understand the state of "being in complete association" with (currently taking place) mental processes?

This article is an attempt of presenting feeling of threat problem as well as connecting this phenomenon with psychological components of persons functioning in dangerous work environment conditions. Subject of feeling of threat can be understood as “experiencing apprehension concerning results of potential/actual dangers”, oscillates in terminological area of anxiety, fear, stress, restlessness and it highlights a cognitive process distinctive for listed phenomenon’s. Together with technological and organization changes increases number of health problems affecting workers in different institutions. The hardest work conditions affect people working in high-risk occupation. Physical factors of work environment as well as coexisting psychic occurrence affects multidimensional functioning of worker not only in terms of working conditions. The analysis of feeling of threat and its correlates is going to be presented based on empirical study executed on group of 304 (100 firefighters, 100 miners, and 104 employees of chemical factory). Obtained results will be used to present dependence between multidimensional functioning of person in dangerous work environment and feeling of threat.

Religia jest w Japonii ciągle aktualnym przedmiotem dyskursu edukacyjnego. Autorka przedstawia obraz ewolucji tego dyskursu na przestrzeni ostatnich dwóch wieków. Tekst składa się z trzech części. Najpierw zrekonstruowano przemiany, jakie dokonały się w relacji między edukacją a religią w Japonii, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem okresu japońskiej pedagogiki reformy. Następnie na podstawie dwóch przedmiotów nauczania szkolnego: lekcje moralności i etyki przedstawiono aktualną kontrowersję odnośnie do stosunku między kształceniem a religią. W pierwszej z tych analiz chodzi przede wszystkim o pytanie, w jaki sposób szkoły publiczne obchodzą się z religijnością, a konkretnie z odczuciem religijnym. W drugiej autorka rozważa pytanie, jak te same szkoły przekazują wiedzę na tematy związane z różnymi religiami. Na zakończenie, w trzecim punkcie, wydobyto momenty ciągłości i zmiany, jakie ukazują się odnośnie do roli religijności w edukacji japońskiej.

This thesis is a result of a careful thought on what peace is and what its essential features, aims and necessary conditions are. I have proposed a notion that inner peace of individuals making up a given community (especially of leadership elites) is conducive to collective safety, while significant disturbance of the inner peace of a certain group of individuals results in a global unrest, often on an international scale. In an attempt to approach the subject in a comprehensive manner I justified that inner peace of individuals leads to global inner and outer peace. I also conducted lexical analyses aimed at identifying identical, synonymous and antonymous terms with the word, „peace”. I indicated the main reasons for war and the conditions for keeping peace, emphasizing the significance of pedagogics in the prophylaxis of war and in the spreading of the culture of peace. I also proposed a classification of philosophical and pedagogical attitudes of intellectuals devoting their efforts to the concept of peace throughout the history of humankind and in the world of today. I presented argumentation confirming the assumption that the culture of peace results from a certain upbringing process based on a democratic existence of parents with their child. My praxeological propositions include the educational and prophylactic function of biographies of individuals commonly recognized as promoters of peace. I also provided an outline of the upbringing programs aimed at children and the youth, and serving the role of strengthening peace and public safety.
