Salezjanie, którzy obchodzą w tym roku 200-lecie urodzin swojego założyciela, św. Jana Bosko, wezwani są do odpowiedzi na współczesne wyzwania w dziedzinie wychowania. Muszą poszukiwać ich w dzisiejszym społeczeństwie, które jest nacechowane chaosem w dziedzinie wartości, liberalnym podejściem do tradycji, kultury i religii. Salezjanie w tej sytuacji mają zmierzać zarówno do zapewnienia wychowankowi poczucia stabilności i egzystencjalnego bezpieczeństwa, jak i do wychowania człowieka. Innym obszarem poszukiwania odpowiedzi jest rodzina. Salezjanie mają pamiętać, że pierwszymi wychowawcami są rodzice, wspólnie z nimi, nie sami, muszą zabiegać o integralne wychowanie młodego pokolenia. Mają wychowywać przez miłość do miłości, zgodnie z systemem prewencyjnym. Dzisiejsi rodzice potrzebują w swoich zadaniach wychowawczych wsparcia. Może nim być katecheza rodziny czy katecheza dorosłych. Dlatego salezjanie powinni bardziej otwierać się na wychowywanie ludzi dorosłych. Ich szczególnym zadaniem jest też troska o rozwój oratorium jako paradygmatu wychowania w stylu prewencyjnym.
The Salesians, who celebrate this year the 200th anniversary of the birth of their founder, St. John Bosco, are called to respond to the contemporary challenges in the field of education. One of them is the search for answers in today’s society. It is characterized by chaos in the field of values, liberal approach to tradition, culture, and religion.In this situation, the Salesians seek to ensure pupil existential sense of stability and security. It is achieved by an educational system based on reason, religion, and love. It can assist in the education of the whole person. Another area to search for answers is the family. The Salesians cannot forget that parents are the first educators. That is why we, as Salesians, and the parents together aim to seek the integral education of the younger generation. Emphasized by St. John Bosco, in this context love means a value indicating the direction of family education: to educate by love for love. Today, however, parents need instruction support in their work. This may mean family catechesis and catechesis of adults. Therefore the Salesians should be more open to educating adults so that parents would be more aware of their Christian duties. The last area to finding answers to the challenges are existing educational institutions in the Salesian Congregation. The first is the oratory, somewhat today neglected by the Polish Salesians. Meanwhile, the chance of an education can be attained due to the fact that religion and culture are to be combined.

The documents of the Church devote a lot of space to marriage and family. They show marriage and family as natural communities that cannot be substituted by any other institutions. They also point to the necessity of the Christian formation of all the subjects of Church life, among which the first place is taken by family. Introduction into the full Christian life of children, young people and adults is done during the family catechesis. It is a contingent, immediate and practical teaching of religious truths in the family home. This task is first of all the parents’ responsibility; in this way they pass the exam in their religious education and educational skills. Grandparents, elder siblings, as well as the school and the parish help the parents. Family catechesis also effects the preparation for marital and family life. It is a way to revive families for Christian life, to look properly at the preparation to marriage, to live in sanctity and to fulfill the marital and family duties conscientiously.

The family is one of the important areas of research in the sciences of theology. Researchers consider various aspects of life in the family. They pay attention to the family as the primary educational environment. Increasingly, these issues are taken by catecheticsteachers. Analyses undertaken in this study are intended to show the family as an educational environment in terms of Polish catechetics teachers. undertaken analyses do not pretendto fully describe the research in contemporary catechetics. They are more in the nature of a sketch. This paper highlights the key thematic areas of the family as an educational environment. First the terms „family” and „educational environment” were clarified. Then the issues were described in detail. Much attention was paid to the issues related to the integral recognition of education in the family and with those responsible for education. Efforts were made at the same time see the similarities and differences in opinions of Polish catechetics teachers. The relationship between socialization and upbringing in the family, how to implement educational functions and co-operation with other family educational environments (eg. school, church) were considered significant. In this context there were given offers of further study. These included, among others, the need for dialogue of catechetics teachers with representatives of the social sciences. This will not only allow to develop a sound theory but also to conduct quantitative and qualitative research. The acquired data will enrich the catechetical study area and may contribute to the improvement of family catechesis and pastoral care.

Te article introduces the problem of teaching religion within the families that start homeschooling. Aſter a brief presentation of homeschooling and its legal basis, the author analyses the communicate of Te Catholic Upbringing Board, that contains regulations for teaching R.E. in extracurricular education. In addition she presents the results of a survey conducted among the parents of the children taught at home. Moreover, she forms the conclusions and recommendations for practical catechesis, much needed in a view of systematic increase in interest in homeschooling.
Artykuł przedstawia problematykę nauczania religii w rodzinach podejmujących nauczanie domowe dzieci. Po krótkim zaprezentowaniu zjawiska edukacji domowej i jej podstaw prawnych, autorka analizuje komunikat Komisji Wychowania Katolickiego regulujący kwestię nauczania religii w edukacji pozaszkolnej. Prezentuje także wyniki ankiety nt. formacji religijnej dzieci przeprowadzonej wśród rodziców realizujących nauczanie domowe, a także formułuje wnioski niezbędne dla praktyki katechetycznej, wobec wzrastającego zainteresowania rodzin edukacją domową.

Celem pierwszej części artykułu jest prezentacja wyników badań nad sytuacją dziecka w rodzinie dysfunkcyjnej, określenie roli, jaką przyjmuje dziecko w takiej rodzinie oraz konsekwencji wynikających z braku odpowiednich warunków do właściwego rozwoju. Druga część artykułu określa rolę katechety w edukacji ucznia żyjącego w rodzinie dotkniętej dysfunkcją. Wskazuje na przyczynę trudności, z którymi spotyka się katecheta uczący dziecko z rodziny dysfunkcyjnej oraz omawia niektóre metody działania katechety ukierunkowane na dobro tego ucznia.
The aim of the first part of the article is to present the results of research on the situation of a child in a dysfunctional family, to determine the role of the child in such a family and the consequences resulting from the lack of appropriate conditions for proper development. The second part of the article describes the role of the catechist towards a student living in a family affected by dysfunction. It points out the reason for the difficulties encountered by the catechist teaching a child from the dysfunctional family and discusses some methods of catechetical action directed at the good of this student.

W artykule „Rodzina a wartości moralne. Miejsce ich nauczania, weryfikacji i realizacji” zostają ukazane podstawowe zadania jakie stoją przed rodziną, jako podstawową jednostką społeczną w zakresie przekazywania wartości, szczególnie wartości moralnych.Artykuł swoim zakresem tematycznym obejmuje kilka dziedzin naukowych: teologii, socjologii, katolickiej nauki społecznej oraz katolickiej nauki o małżeństwie i rodzinie. W pracy zostaje przedstawiona analiza kondycji rodziny z uwzględnieniem przeszłości i teraźniejszości; zostają także postawione pewne jasne zadania, którym muszą sprostać rodziny w konfrontacji ze światem współczesnym, jeśli chcą być nośnikami wartości moralnych. Autor wskazuje także na znaczenie wartości moralnych w życiu człowieka, czynników, które sprzyjają ich rozwojowi i tych, które ten rozwój hamują, wskazuje na środowiska społeczne, które stoją na straży wartości oraz wykazuje potrzebę współpracy w celu osiągnięcia postawionego celu – wychowania do wartości.
The article "Family and Moral Values. Place of Teaching, Verification and Implementation" are shown the basic tasks faced by the family as the basicsocial unit in the transmission of values, especially moral values.The thematic scope of the article covers several scientific disciplines: theology, sociology, Catholic social teaching and Catholic teaching on marriage and family. This presentation is analysis of the condition of the family withregard to the past and present. There are also put some clear tasks faced by families in confrontation with the modern world if they want to be carriers of moral values. The author also points out the importance of moral values in human life, the factors that contribute to their development and those that inhibit this development, indicates social environments that uphold values and shows the need for cooperation in order to achieve this objective – education towards values.

The significance of family Marian catechesis in Poland has been increased by a series of historical events involving Marian revelations and by the pastoral strategy of the Catholic Church. The Marian catechesis was not only included in the plans of religion teaching, textbooks and catechisms, but was also present in the Marian traditions of Polish families. Before children started school or parish catechesis which dealt with the subject of Virgin Mary, they already had extensive knowledge of Her and they could pray to Her. Living in families, they could also easily understand all bonds that mother and son share. In the case of Virgin Mary, they easily acquired the truth that Her Son is God and that She, like every mother, does not leave anyone in need. The Marian catechesis, invariably passed to the catechisized in the family environment, also today must constitute guidance for Poles in answering the question: “what to believe in, how to act and what means of grace to use in order to achieve salvation?” In the layer of content, there must be a clear reference to the mysteries of Christ connected with the life of Blessed Virgin Mary. Religious elements, historical traditions and Marian educational ideas should further converge into one voice praising Mary, Mother of God-Man.

Ksiądz Piotr Poręba - pedagog i psycholog, pastoralista i katechetyk - w pracy naukowodydaktycznej koncentrował się wokół takich kwestii, jak: wychowanie, małżeństwo, rodzina, katecheza, duszpasterstwo rodzin. Zagadnienia katechetyki badał pod kątem historycznym: analizował poglądy i koncepcje pedagogów i katechetyków. Obszar praktyki katechetycznej opisywał w ujęciu psychologicznym oraz pedagogicznym. Katecheza w ujęciu Piotra Poręby może być więc zdefiniowana jako: psychopedagogika katechezy oparta na antropologii chrześcijańskiej.
Reverend Piotr Poręba - an educationist and psychologist, a pastoralist and a theoretician of catechesis - focused his research-didactic work on such questions as: education, marriage, family, catechesis, pastoral family counseling. He studied the issues of catechetics in the historical perspective: he analyzed educationalists’ and catechists’ views and conceptions. He described the area of catechetic practice in the psychological and pedagogical perspective. Hence, catechesis seen from Piotr Poręba’s perspective may be defined as: psycho-pedagogy of catechesis based on Christian anthropology.

Ogłoszony przez papieża Franciszka Rok Rodziny Amoris laetitia skłania do pogłębionej refleksji nad rodziną, jej miejscem i znaczeniem w życiu pojedynczego człowieka a zarazem całej ludzkiej wspólnoty. Inspiruje do poszukiwania propozycji katechezy parafialnej adresowanej do rodzin. Zachęca, by odkryć i żyć bogactwem adhortacji apostolskiej Amoris laetitia, poprzez różne propozycje o charakterze duchowym, duszpasterskim i kulturalnym, podejmowane w parafiach, diecezjach, na uniwersytetach, w ruchach kościelnych i w stowarzyszeniach rodzin. Rodzina, jako paradygmat całego duszpasterstwa, zasługuje na całoroczne świętowanie tak, by stanęła w centrum zaangażowania i uwagi każdej rzeczywistości duszpasterskiej i kościelnej. Doświadczenie pandemii w sposób szczególny unaoczniło zasadniczą rolę rodziny jako Kościoła domowego i znaczenie wspólnotowych więzi między rodzinami, które czynią z Kościoła „rodzinę rodzin”. Papież Franciszek wymienia trzy główne cele tego wyjątkowego czasu: (1) rozpowszechniać treść adhortacji apostolskiej Amoris laetitia, aby dać poznać rodzinom „doświadczenie, że Ewangelia rodziny jest radością, która «napełnia serce i całe życie»”; (2) Głosić, że sakrament małżeństwa jest darem i że ma w sobie przeobrażającą moc ludzkiej miłości; (3) Czynić rodziny głównymi podmiotami duszpasterstwa rodzinnego. Rok Rodziny Amoris laetitia powinien zaznaczyć się w życiu każdej wspólnoty parafialnej, szczególnie na poziomie przepowiadania, przygotowania liturgii niedziel, świąt, uroczystości i zaangażowania w nie całych rodzin oraz działalności na rzecz członków rodzin, którzy znaleźli się w trudnej sytuacji życiowej.
The Year of Amoris Laetitia Family induces one to reflect on the family, its place and importance in the life of an individual and also of the whole of the human community. It encourages one to seek offers of parish catechesis for families. It provides inspiration to discover and live by the wealth of the apostolic exhortation Amoris Laetitia through various spiritual, pastoral and cultural proposals offered by parishes, dioceses, universities, ecclesial movements and family associations. The family, as the paradigm of the entire pastoral service, deserves a year-round celebration so that it becomes the focus of commitment and attention of every pastoral and ecclesial reality. The pandemic experience particularly exposed the role of the family as the home Church and the importance of community bonds between families, which make the Church “the family of families”. Pope Francis mentions three main objectives of this unique time: (1) to propagate the contents of the apostolic exhortation Amoris Laetitia  in order to share with families “the experience that the Gospel of the family is a joy that ‘fills the heart and whole life’”; (2) to preach that the sacrament of marriage is a gift and that it has the power to transform human love; (3) to make families the main objects of pastoral family counselling. The Year of Amoris Laetitia Family should make a mark on the life of each parish community, especially at the level of preaching, preparing the liturgy of Sundays, celebrations and engaging whole families in it and efforts are made to aid those family members who are in a difficult life situation.

Współczesny Kościół, aby był skuteczny w obszarze wychowania, musi podjąć określone wyzwania. Pierwszym jest utrzymanie i rozwijanie świadomości w rodzicach, że są pierwszymi wychowawcami swoich dzieci. Dzisiaj bowiem dość często zwalniają się z religijnego wychowania potomstwa. Tymczasem to rodzina jest domowym Kościołem, który dba o rozwój swoich członków. Innym wyzwaniem jest odbudowa katechezy dorosłych. Nie ma takiej katechezy w Polsce. Istnieje natomiast ścisły związek między katechezą rodziców a skutecznym wychowaniem młodego pokolenia. Należy także zadbać, aby rozwijała się katecheza parafialna. Jest ona podstawową drogą wychowania chrześcijańskiego. Nie zastąpi tej katechezy nauczanie religii w szkole, które nie jest do końca katechezą. Nie przyniosła ona w Polsce religijnego ożywienia uczniów. Ważnym wyzwaniem jest również obecność w świecie mediów. Młodzi ludzie traktują świat mediów jako własną przestrzeń życia, która jednak rodzi problemy alienacji z rzeczywistego życia, uzależnienia, chaos informacyjny powodujący niezdolność do wyboru pozytywnych wartości.
The contemporary Church, in order to be effective in the area of education, must take up specific challenges. The first one is to establish and develop parents’ awareness that they are the earliest educators of their children. It is noticed that they quite often discharge themselves from providing religious education for their offspring. Whereas, a family is the Church that looks after the growth of its members. Another challenge is to renew the adult catechesis which does not exist in Poland. There is a close relationship between catechesis of parents and effective education of young people. It is also importat to develop parish catechesis as it is a primary path of Christian education. Such catechesis cannot be replaced by Religious Education at schools, as it is not the proper catechesis. Religious Education has little impact on religious revival of pupils in Poland. Needless to say, resence in the media has a very important role. Young people treat the media as their own living space which, nonetheless, can cause problems of alienation, addiction or chaos information leading to the inability to choose positive values.

Opis:
“The places for catechesis” is one of the catechetical issues that has been tackled by General Catechetical Directory. The issue is also addressed by national directories. It has been faced by French bishops in the document Texte national pour l’orientation de la catéchèse de France et principles d’organisation. The document was published in 2006. French bishops point to four main places where catechesis takes place: family, the youngest, school, other places where life goes on. The conclusion of the article is the following: the place of catechesis is where a modern Christian is. It is not a man who should search for places for catechesis, but catechesis itself, through its representatives, catechists, has to search for a man and reach him.

Autor niniejszego artykułu rozważa, jak z perspektywy ponad dwóch lat pontyfikatu Ojca Świętego Franciszka przedstawia się jego troska duszpasterska i wykładnia teologicznomoralna dotycząca rodziny i małżeństwa chrześcijańskiego we współczesnym świecie. Tekst artykułu powstał na podstawie analizy treści katechez wygłoszonych przez papieża Franciszka w latach 2014/2015. Refleksja składa się z dwóch części. Pierwsza – krótsza część tekstu – ma charakter historiograficzny i przedstawia wkład Magisterium Kościoła w rozwój doktryny teologicznomoralnej dotyczącej małżeństwa i rodziny, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem roli poprzedników Franciszka – papieży: Pawła VI, św. Jana Pawła II i Benedykta XVI. Druga – zasadnicza część artykułu – dotyczy nauczania obecnego biskupa Rzymu i przebiega na podstawie analizy wybranych słów wypowiedzianych przez niego podczas katechez środowych wygłoszonych w latach 2014 i 2015, w których zawarł on dość konkretną wykładnię teologicznomoralną dotyczącą współczesnej rodziny. Rozważania Franciszka dotyczyły w szczególności roli i funkcji kobiety oraz mężczyzny – matki i ojca, dzieci, a także osób starszych w rodzinie. Wiele słów poświęcił w nich także wizji chrześcijańskiego małżeństwa oraz problemom, z jakimi boryka się rodzina we współczesnym świecie.
The author of this paper dwells on the picture of Pope Francis's pastoral concern and theological and moral interpretation of issues related to family and Christian marriage in the modern world from the perspective of over two years of the Pope's pontificate. The paper was prepared based on the analysis of religious instructions given by Pope Francis in the years 2014-2015. The reflection consists of two parts. The first part – the shorter one – is of historiographic nature and presents a contribution of the Magisterium of the Catholic Church to the development of a theological and moral doctrine related to marriage and family, with a particular emphasis put on the role of Francis's predecessors – popes: Paul VI, Saint John Paul II and Benedict XVI. The second, most essential ,part of this paper refers to the teachings of the present Bishop of Rome and is based on the analysis of selected words uttered by the Pope in the course of the Wednesday Catechesis in the years 2014-2015, which include a quite clear theological and moral interpretation of the modern family. Francis's deliberations were mainly focused on the role and function of women and men (mother and father), children and the elderly in the family. Many words were devoted to the concept of the Christian marriage and problems to be faced by the family in the modern world.

Te Article called ‘New forums for catechesis’ is a reflection based on General Directory for Catechesis from year 1997. Twenty years that have passed since the Directory was published is an opportunity to seek for the new challenges and perspectives. Te analysis of a current ministrative and catechetical situation shows a range of issues. Te primary aim of this text is to confront two problems: digital globalisation and families’ situation( the need for catechesis of family). According to the author these two areas are the main forums of modern catechesis.
Artykuł zatytułowany Nowe fora katechezy to refleksja w oparciu o Dyrektorium Ogólne o Katechizacji z 1997 roku. Mijające dwadzieścia lat od powstania dokumentu to okazja do podjęcia poszukiwań nowych wyzwaniach i perspektyw. Analiza obecnej sytuacji duszpasterskiej i katechetycznej nakreśla pewną panoramę zagadnień. Celem szczegółowym poniższego tekstu jest wyakcentowanie dwóch wybranych wyzwań: cyfrowej globalizacji i sytuacji rodziny (potrzeba katechezy rodzinnej i rodziny). Zdaniem autora to właśnie te dwie rzeczywistości tworzą najbardziej istotne i aktualne fora współczesnej katechezy.

The term “vocation” may be understood in many different ways, and in Christianity, most generally, calling a man by God to lead a certain way of life or to perform certain tasks, is defined in this way. Forming the calling, or vocation, although it is a distinct activity, is also closely connected with other aims and tasks of Christian education realized in catechesis. This means that in order to understand and to realize the calling that God directs to a Christian, formation is significant that touches all the dimensions or spheres that are distinguished in the structure of a man as a person; with activities connected with moral education of a child, with prayer and the practice of love, and with manifold forms of education in faith having immediate significance. These questions are at the foundations of setting tasks to modern catechesis that not only aims at making it possible for the catechized one to assimilate faith, but forms the proper attitude of a Christian life and stimulates the fruit of sanctity.
