    The article focuses on the concept of culture, its etymology, various anthropological interpretations and the way in which the Catholic Church has historically understood the reality of culture. The analysis of evolution of such an understanding culminates in evaluation of the contributions of the 2nd Vatican Council and the consequences of this development for the missionary involvement of the Church. While the Church is historically related to concrete cultural contexts, the Gospel is not limited to any of those contexts. The main challenge of the missionary work is to set up fruitful relations with the local cultures in order to establish mutual relations between the Gospel and cultural values.

    Niniejszy artykuł, poświęcony zagadnieniu usprawiedliwienia człowieka w świetle nauki wczesnochrześcijańskiego myśliciela Orygenesa, jest oparty na jego Komentarzu do Listu do Rzymian (łac. Commentarium in Epistulam ad Romanos). Aleksandryjczyk stał się prekursorem doktryny o usprawiedliwieniu w czasach patrystycznych, nadając odpowiedni kierunek swoim następcom. Są dwa filary usprawiedliwienia: prawo Mojżesza i wiara w Chrystusa. Orygenes nie neguje znaczenia Prawa Mojżesza. Podkreśla, że jest ono dalej aktualne i przyczynia się do realizacji usprawiedliwienia, o tyle o ile nie jest ono odczytywane literalnie i legalistycznie, ale jako odblask prawdziwej nauki Chrystusa. W czasach Nowego Przymierza niedoskonałe Prawo Mojżesza zostało zastąpione przez wiarę. Wiara musi jednak spełniać odpowiednie kryteria: cechować się chrystocentryzmem oraz powinna być zespolona z uczynkami. Wtedy człowiek może doświadczyć pełnego usprawiedliwienia i zostać uznany za przyjaciela Boga. Istotną konkluzją artykułu jest wykazanie, iż dwa omawiane determinanty usprawiedliwienia nie wykluczają się, lecz wzajemnie uzupełniają.
    The paper is a part of the thesis addressing the issue of the human's justification in the light of the teaching of the Early-Christian writer Origen. The thesis is written on the basis of the Comment to the Letter to the Romans (from Latin - Commentarium in Epistu-lam ad Romanos). The Alexandrian became the pioneer of the doctrine of justification in the patristic times pointing his successors in the right direction. The thesis is focused on the discussion of the two pillars of the justification: Moses Law and faith in Christ. Origen did not deny the importance of Moses Law. He stressed it was still valid and contributed to the implementation of the justification, provided the Law was not interpreted literally or legalistically. It should be seen instead as the reflection of the true teaching of Jesusu Christ. During the time of the New Covenant the imperfect Law of Moses has been replaced by faith. Such faith had to meet the relevant criteria, such as be characterized by Christocentrism and combined with the deeds. Only when this condition was met, a man could fully experience the complete justification and be recognised as God's friend. The main aim of this paper is to show that both determinants of the justification discussed in the thesis rather than being mutually exclusive, are complementary.

    Zasadniczym celem refleksji jest ukazanie koncepcji duchowości człowieka w ujęciu ks. prof. M. Pyca. Bazę źródłową dla tak określonego celu stanowi nauczanie ks. prof. M. Pyca. Cały proces analiz bazy źródłowej objął trzy etapy. Pierwszy dotyczy przybliżenia udzielania się Boga w Chrystusie, które stanowi źródło duchowości człowieka. Uwzględniając samookreślenie się Chrystusa jako Drogi, Prawdy i Życia (por. J 14,6), ten etap refleksji odnosi się do Chrystusa – Drogi – który w akcie wcielenia i odkupienia odsłonił miłość Bożą i zarazem zaprosił go do kroczenia za Nim. Kolejny etap refleksji koncentruje się na odsłonięciu spojrzenia ks. prof. M. Pyca na sposób odpowiedzi człowieka na Boże udzielanie się. Głębię tego sposobu ukazał Chrystus. Określając siebie Prawdą (por. J 14,6), w pełni odsłonił prawdę o bezgranicznej miłości Boga do człowieka i zarazem pokazał mu, jak on ma tę prawdę przeżywać w swojej egzystencji. W Chrystusie Prawdzie człowiek może zrozumieć siebie w swym jestestwie i właściwie ukształtować swoją duchowość. Ostatni etap refleksji skupia się na ukazaniu płaszczyzn realizacji przez człowieka swojej duchowości w Kościele. Gdy człowiek prowadzi życie modlitewne, karmi się Ciałem Chrystusa i okazuje miłosierdzie bliźnim, to jest w stanie doświadczyć pokoju w sercu i doznać pełni życia, które daje Chrystus. Duchowość człowieka jest, według ks. prof. M. Pyca, jego odpowiedzią na samookreślenie się Chrystusa jako Droga, Prawda i Życie. Dlatego samookreślenie się Chrystusa, w nauczaniu ks. prof. M. Pyca, wyraźnie wskazuje na to, iż to On jest przyczyną sprawczą, wzorczą i celową duchowości człowieka.
    The main goal of this reflection is to show the concept of human spirituality as perceived by Rev. Prof. M. Pyc. The source base for such a goal is the teaching of Rev. Prof. M. Pyc. The entire process of source database analysis included three stages. The first stage concerns the communion of God in Christ, which is the source of human spirituality. Considering at this moment Christ’s self-determination as the Way, the Truth and the Life (cf. John 14:6), this stage of reflection refers to Christ The Way who, in the act of incarnation and redemption, revealed God’s love and at the same time invited Him to follow Him. The next stage of the reflection focuses on revealing the view of Rev. Prof. M. Pyc on the way man responds to God’s communion. Christ showed the depth of this method. Determining Himself as the Truth (cf. John 14:6), He fully revealed the truth about God’s boundless love for man and at the same time showed him how he has to experience this truth in his existence. In Christ the Truth, man can understand himself in his being and properly shape his spirituality. And finally, the last stage of reflection focuses on showing the levels of human realisation of their spirituality in the Church. When a man leads a prayer life, he feeds on the Body of Christ and shows mercy to his neighbour, he is able to experience peace in the heart and experience the full life that Christ gives. Human spirituality is, according to Rev. Prof. M. Pyc, his response to the self-determination of Christ, who called Himself the Way, the Truth and the Life (cf. John 14:6). Therefore, the self-determination of Christ, in the teaching of Rev. Prof. M. Pyc clearly indicates that He is the causative, exemplary and purposeful cause of human spirituality.

    Opis:
    Fundamental Theology is scientific discipline which ex professo treats about justifying the credibility of Christianity. This discipline is about the foundations of faith and justifies credibility of Divine Revelation which has been fulfilled in Jesus Christ and lasts in the Church. Fundamental Theology would like to make Christian faith reasonable as it shoud be because a man is reasonable and free person full of dignity. Contemporary Fundamental Theology not only makes the traditional argumentation reacher but also tries to find new arguments for the credibility of Christianity. This article contents following issues: 1. justifying the credibility of Christianity as the aim of Fundamental Theology; 2. some projects rejecting the necessity of justifying the credibility of Christianity; 3. traditional arguments for the credibility of the Revelation fulfilled in Jesus Christ; 4. justifying in modern Fundamental Theology. The process of justifying in Fundamental Theology means searching or making arguments, reasons, for supernatural character of Christianity. Because every argument shows the Revelation and faith only partially, so each of them cannot fulfill the whole task. Fundamental Theology needs many arguments. Presenting lots of them Fundamental Theology is able to justify Christian faith more fully.

    Opis:
    The analysis of the relationship between the Holy Spirit and the Church in respect of its concern for the heritage of faith shows that the highest level of the Church's knowledge is the truth about God who “is love” (1Jn 4, 8): about the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The greatest wisdom of the Church, however, is taking this love out of the Heart of Christ, listening to His words, being nourished by His Body and Blood, and following Him “wherever He goes” (Rev 14, 4). The Holy Spirit by His Person shows us the inner unity of the Holy Trinity and the unity of the Revelation of God as well as the unity of God's eternal plan for creation, redemption, and sanctification of man. Accepting the integral and personal vision of the Revelation of God, we should acknowledge that the heritage of faith is not only the object that is received from Christ and faithfully transmitted by Church of providing the generations. The heritage of faith contains “the heritage of life” (depositum vitae), that man connects with God.
