    Opis:
    This article discusses external openness of criminal proceedings in respect of legal security. The realization of such openness is done through the statutory permission to record and broadcast a hearing which is granted to representatives of the mass media. The article also attempts to assess amendments to article 357 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (2016) in terms its realization of the idea of legal security. The author gives a positive assessment of the direction of changes in the Polish law; however, she also tries to identify the legislation which could undermine legal certainty, and thereby negatively affect the possibility of realising the concept of legal security in the context of criminal law.

    Niniejszy artykuł omawia kwestię jawności zewnętrznej postępowania karnego z perspektywy bezpieczeństwa prawnego. Przejawem urzeczywistniania się tejże jawności jest ustawowe zagwarantowanie przedstawicielom środków masowego przekazu możliwości utrwalania oraz transmisji przebiegu procesu. Opracowanie jest także próbą dokonania oceny nowelizacji przepisów prawa zawartych w art. 357 k.p.k. z dnia 10 czerwca 2016 r. pod kątem urzeczywistnienia wartości bezpieczeństwa prawnego. Autorka w sposób pozytywny ocenia kierunek zmian w polskim prawie, jednakże stara się też wskazać uregulowania prawne mogące godzić w pewność prawa, tym samym ujemnie wpływając na możliwość urzeczywistniania się idei bezpieczeństwa prawnego na gruncie prawa karnego.
    This article discusses external openness of criminal proceedings from the perspective of legal security. Realization of that openness is manifested in a statutory guarantee of a possibility to record and transmit trial granted to representatives of the mass media. The paper is also an attempt to assess legal amendments contained in Article 357 of the Code of Criminal Procedure of 10 June 2016 in terms of realization of the legal security idea. The author positively evaluates the direction of changes in Polish law, however she also tries to identify legislation that could undermine legal certainty, thereby negatively affecting the possibility of realization of the legal security concept in the context of criminal law.

    Opis:
    The existing literature is sparse on the role of international finance in modeling the FDI-growth nexus. This study integrates the role of international trade and external debt in the FDI-economic growth nexus for Brazil, Nigeria, and Vietnam. We apply the Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) model to annual data covering the period 1990-2021. The results show that FDI and trade have positive but insignificant effects on economic growth in all three countries. In addition, our results show that external debt hampers long-term economic growth in these countries. Based on the results, we propose country-specific recommendations that take into account specific economic and financial conditions, global market dynamics, and the long-term development goals of developing countries.

    Opis:
    Artykuł otwiera informacja o poziomie otwartości polskiej gospodarki na przepływy finansowe, kapitałowe i wymianę handlową z krajami UE i innymi. W opracowaniu przeprowadzono analizę oceny nierównowagi zewnętrznej Polski na podstawie wielkości i struktury międzynarodowej pozycji inwestycyjnej, wskaźników zadłużenia zagranicznego brutto i netto oraz rachunku obrotów bieżących. Przyjęty zakres czasowy analizy, lata 2004–2016, pozwolił zbadać zmiany, które zaszły w polskiej gospodarce na tle państw członkowskich UE. Za cenne uznano uwagi UE i MFW dotyczące sposobów przywrócenia równowagi zewnętrznej i poprawy stanu finansów publicznych w Polsce. W konkluzji, poziom zadłużenia zagranicznego polskiej gospodarki uznano za nadmierny i grożący w przyszłości pogłębieniem nierównowagi zewnętrznej. W opracowaniu wykorzystano głównie metodę opisową i podstawowe metody statystyczne.
    The article begins from information on the level of openness of the Polish economy to financial and capital flows as well as trade with the UE countries and other ones. In his study, the author carried out an analysis of assessment of Poland’s external disequilibrium based on the volume and structure of international investment position, gross and net external debt ratios, and current accounts. The adopted time-frame of the analysis, the years 2004-2016, allowed examining the changes occurred in the Polish economy against the background of the EU member states. As valuable were considered the remarks made by the EU and IMF on the ways of external rebalancing and improvement of the state of public finance in Poland. In conclusion, the level of foreign indebtedness of Poland’s economy is considered as the excessive and threating with aggravation of its external disequilibrium in the future. In his study, the author made use mainly of the descriptive method and basic statistical methods.
