    Precautionary principle may be found in legal documents of many countries and international organisations, including the United Nations and the European Union. It is formulated and understood in many ways and has been thoroughly criticised. In the paper, I focus on moral grounds for justification of the principle as well as on precaution and risk in ethics.

    Opis:
    The environmental issues such as deforestation, climate change, ozone layer depletion, greenhouse effect and pollution of air, water and soil rises due to unethical activity of human beings and behaviour of humankind. Environmental degradation and the deterioration of human moral values are inter-connected with each other. So, environmental revolution required a transformation in human behaviour. Virtue ethics could be used as an instrument to develop a pro-environmental behaviour. Virtue ethics is primarily concerned with what kind of people we should be, what kind of characters we should have, and how we should act. This directly develops one’s moral character as well as pro-environmental character and behaviour, i.e., wisely use the natural resources; develop the habit to preserve the nature. Virtue ethics would be built to bridge the gap between human behaviour and the needs of environment. This paper emphasizes the implications of virtue ethics to bring changes in human character and behaviour to resolve the current environmental problems.
    Problemy środowiskowe, takie jak wylesianie, zmiany klimatu, zubożenie warstwy ozonowej, efekt cieplarniany oraz zanieczyszczenie powietrza, wody i gleby narastają z powodu nieetycznej działalności człowieka i jego zachowań. Degradacja środowiska i pogorszenie wartości moralnych człowieka są ze sobą powiązane. Rewolucja ekologiczna wymaga więc zmiany w zachowaniu ludzi. Etyka cnót może być wykorzystana jako instrument kształtowania zachowań proekologicznych. Etyka cnót dotyczy przede wszystkim tego, jakimi ludźmi powinniśmy być, jakie powinniśmy mieć charaktery i jak powinniśmy postępować. To bezpośrednio kształtuje charakter moralny oraz proekologiczny charakter i zachowania, czyli mądre korzystanie z zasobów naturalnych i wyrobienie w sobie nawyku ochrony przyrody. Etyka cnót została zbudowana, aby wypełnić lukę między ludzkim zachowaniem a potrzebami środowiska. Artykuł ten podkreśla implikacje etyki cnót, które mają przynieść zmiany w ludzkim charakterze i zachowaniu, aby rozwiązać obecne problemy środowiskowe.

    Opis:
    Anosognosia for hemiplegia is a multifaceted syndrome that has a detrimental impact on the patient. Various theories based on behavioural and neuroanatomical data have been proposed to explain the mechanisms underlying the symptoms. These approaches have resulted in the development of a number of different proce- dures aimed at reducing symptoms or enhancing residual aware- ness. The article reviews rehabilitation attempts and their effects on individual cases and groups of patients. A selection of material was made using indexed articles published between 1987 and 2019. The inclusion criteria were: i) the presence of a neuropsychological assessment and ii) the presence of one or more methods specifically used to reduce AHP symptoms, or to enhance residual forms of awareness. The review indicates that intervention procedures have moved from bottom-up to more cognitive and metacognitive approaches. In fact, initially anosognosia for hemiplegia was considered to be a co-oc- current symptom of other neuropsychological conditions (e.g. spa- tial neglect) and interventions were borrowed from the rehabilitation techniques that had had success in relieving these other disorders. When anosognosia was identified as an independent syndrome and residual forms of awareness were demonstrated, procedures attempting to modulate awareness started to focus on specific components of the disease, such as visual perspective, motor monitoring and the updating of beliefs. Although further research is needed in this field, the most recent approaches seem to give more stable, lasting results than earlier methods. A timeline for interventions relating to anosognosia is suggested, and ethical issues are also discussed.
