Opis:
In this article, the authors intend to analyse risks related to media information in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic and identify demands in terms of the nature and development of journalistic practice in the post-covid time. The first part focuses on journalists in terms of their fitness for professional performance, revealing particularly their epistemic, or cognitive and ethical insufficiency that may be caused also by (conscious and unethical) inadequate preparation for the profession. Here, the authors notice a general professional crisis in journalism, particularly the long-standing imminent crisis of its (epistemic and ethical) normativity, greatly influenced by digital technology in journalistic practice. The authors take these phenomena as signals for further development of journalism as a socially valuable profession, particularly in the long- neglected science journalism. The second part of this article is dedicated to the outline of journalistic expertise in terms of knowledge-based journalism. They describe some basic prerequisites, namely the journalist’s ability to use knowledge in the process of their professional assessment and practice, and balanced journalistic competence that incorporates skills, expertise and ethos. Pursuing a better quality performance of journalism, they emphasize the need to accept the principle of a close link between epistemic and ethical professional excellence of journalists that includes epistemic and moral virtues. In the third part, they describe the development of journalistic expertise and training – epistemic, or cognitive and moral development, as well as the development of journalistic (communication and media) skills, especially digital competence in the context of scientific evidence. Finally, in terms of academic (or professional) training, they emphasise a combination of reflexive practice and applied theory.

Opis:
Problemy zagrożeń osobowych i społecznych wynikające z obecności i niewłaściwego wyko-rzystywania technologii informacyjnych stanowią obecnie przedmiot badań różnych dyscyplin naukowych. Możliwość wzajemnego wspierania się badaczy tej problematyki wymaga ujednoli-cenia konwekcji terminologicznej i podstawowych założeń teoretycznych.
Issues of personal and social risks arising from the presence and misuse of information tech-nologies are currently the subject of research scientists of various disciplines. The ability to sup-port each other investigators of the problem requires the unification of convection terminology and fundamental theoretical assumptions.

Opis:
Among the significant determinants influencing the corporate culture is the degree of riskiness in the operational activities of a company. Firstly and most importantly, business entities must be prepared to respond quickly to the needs of an external as well as the internal environment, to be in close relationship with customers, to use internal business activities, to strive to build the desired way of behaviour and actions of all stakeholders. The paper aims to define possible risks of ethical credibility based on the analysis and research in selected production companies operating in Slovakia and then propose options, measures to eliminate the threats to ethical credibility and thus increase the credibility and reliability of manufacturing companies.

Opis:
The issue of innovation has also been pursued in social sciences and subsequently specifically in the field of application of socio-scientific knowledge. It is not just about professional engineering ethics but we perceive it in a complex and wider social context. Doing good as well as good practice are more than the professional code of ethics or an effort for technical or managerial excellence. Innovative changes should not be parameterized solely by economic efficiency or performance. With regard to new knowledge and technology development, their ethical aspects become more important and focus more on good life. In the context of social sciences with interdisciplinary trends, applied ethics and its subdisciplines (professional ethics, business ethics, ethics of science and research) can take over and play an important practical role. Innovative processes are increasingly becoming the focus of applied ethics, especially in terms of ethical risks. Our mission is to offer an interdisciplinary view of innovation as discussed in the ethics aspect. Based on these considerations, we conclude that ethics need to be integrated into individual innovation processes and adopted as an important condition for eliminating (mitigating) social risks. In our theoretical considerations we offer a view of the scientific risks and forms of prevention related to innovative change in important areas including engineering practice or health protection.
