Opis:: The growing demand for transportation has brought even larger quantities of traffic in spatially limited port areas. Considering a diverse traffic mix, infrastructural overcapacity and busy schedule, port communities have started to face possible degradation of safety and environmental standards. To mitigate these problems, a number of different monitoring solutions of marine environment were deployed. Since conventional environmental and traffic data gathering by physical monitoring and sampling was logistically complicated and inefficient in time and resources, different approaches had to be considered. With the rise of accessible Internet of Things (IoT) technology some ports already installed smart monitoring devices such as smart buoys. The goal of this paper is to examine the concept and benefits of an automated smart buoy as a cost effective, easy to install device capable of real-time remote information sharing. Furthermore, the design and operational processes of existing automated smart buoy will be presented, along with solutions for tackling navigational safety and environmental problems.

Opis:: Analizie poddana została Jednolita Część Wód Powierzchniowych (JCWP) Kłodnica do Promnej (bez) będąca przykładem cieku przepływającego przez gęsto zaludniony i silnie zurbanizowany obszar Górnośląskiego Okręgu Przemysłowego. Celem przeprowadzonego badania była ocena ryzyka stwarzanego dla ekosystemu wodnego przez wybrane substancje priorytetowe (Ni, Pb, Cd, Hg) oraz specyficzne zanieczyszczenia niesyntetyczne (Cu, Zn), uwalniane do wód powierzchniowych rzeki Kłodnicy. Analiza oceny ryzyka została przeprowadzona poprzez porównanie stężenia metali w środowisku wodnym do środowiskowych norm jakości, a także poprzez zastosowanie narzędzia M-BAT oraz Pb Screening Tool stanowiących uproszczone modele BLM (Biotic Ligand Model). Narzędzia te pozwoliły na ocenę potencjalnego zagrożenia stwarzanego przez metale takie jak Cu, Ni, Zn oraz Pb dla ekosystemu wodnego, przy uwzględnieniu parametrów fizyko-chemicznych wody, które warunkują biodostępność metali w środowisku wodnym (rozpuszczony węgiel organiczny, Ca, pH). Wyniki badania z wykorzystaniem tych narzędzi wykazały, że ryzyko powodowane toksycznością Cu, Ni oraz Pb nie wystąpiło w żadnej z analizowanych próbek. Natomiast wysokie prawdopodobieństwo wystąpienia ryzyka spowodowanego obecnością Zn w wodach powierzchniowych zostało zidentyfikowane we wszystkich analizowanych punktach badawczych. Wyniki przeprowadzonej analizy potwierdziły, że uwarunkowania lokalne w zakresie parametrów fizyko-chemicznych wód mają istotny wpływ na ocenę ryzyka ze strony stężeń substancji zanieczyszczających ekosystemy rzeczne. Narzędzia w postaci uproszczonych modeli BLM mogą stanowić zatem istotny element wspierający proces monitorowania zurbanizowanej zlewni miejskiej w kontekście zapisów Ramowej Dyrektywy Wodnej.
The waterbody Kłodnica to Promna as was analysed an example of watercourse located in the densely populated and highly urbanized area of the Upper Silesian Industrial Region. The aim of the study was to assess the risk posed to the aquatic ecosystem by priority substances (Ni, Pb, Cd, Hg) and specific non-synthetic pollutants (Cu, Zn), which are released to Kłodnica river. The analysis of the risk assessment was carried out by comparing the concentration of metals in the aquatic environment to the environmental quality standards and by using M-BAT and Pb Screening Tool which are user-friendly simplified BLM models (Biotic Ligand Model). These tools allowed to assess the potential risks posed by metals such as Cu, Ni, Zn, and Pb for the aquatic environment, taking into account the physicochemical parameters of water that affect the bioavailability of metals in the aquatic environment (DOC, Ca, pH). The results obtained by means of these tools showed that the risk caused by the toxicity of Cu, Ni and Pb has not occurred in any of the analyzed samples. On the other hand, high probability of risk due to the presence of Zn in surface water has been identified in all sampling points. The results of the analysis confirmed that the local conditions in terms of physicochemical water parameters have a significant impact on the risk assessment. The results of this study confirmed that the tools which are simplified version of complex BLM are an important element supporting the monitoring process in urbanized river catchment in the context of the Water Framework Directive requirements.

Opis:: The article substantiates the importance of finding and studying methods of restructuring of consciousness in relation to nature, the development of new priorities of interaction between society and the environment as a fundamentally different path of development of civilization. The main characteristics of environmental education as one of the main social aspects of environmental safety at the present stage are given. The essence and assessment of ecological competence as an important integral indicator of learning achievements are defined. It is shown, what features are characterized by global ecological safety and on what the safety of human stay both in the workplace and in the environment is based. The authors show a set of environmental standards, which are important to ensure environmental safety. The problems of environmental security, as well as methods of scientific study of environmental factors are presented. It is shown what impact anthropogenic environmental security has on global environmental security. An analysis of the requirements that should be observed in the construction process, such as planning and development of territories, so that it is not a threat to the environmental safety of the environment in general and individuals in particular is carried out. The basic hygienic principle of the planning organization of the territory of new areas of human habitation as well as reconstruction of old territories is presented. It is shown that to ensure human ecological safety around industrial enterprises and facilities with technological processes it is necessary to create special protections, sanitary and protection zones.

Opis:: Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie wymagań stawianych dostawcom w zakresie wdrażania systemowego zarządzania jakością i środowiskiem. W opracowaniu tym na podstawie literatury przedmiotu, wytycznych zawartych w międzynarodowych standardach zarządzania, wytycznych dla dostawców opracowanych przez przedsiębiorstwa (będące producentami wyrobów gotowych) oraz obserwacji wynikających z praktyki gospodarczej przeanalizowano istotę tych wymagań jako podstawy oceny i rozwoju dostawców. Wyniki przeprowadzonych analiz wskazują, iż skuteczne wdrożenie tych wymagań przyczynia się do doskonalenia jakości procesów i produktów, ograniczania negatywnego oddziaływania na środowisko, ograniczania ryzyka mogących wystąpić zagrożeń w łańcuchach dostaw oraz do budowania relacji opartych na wzajemnym zaufaniu pomiędzy partnerami tego łańcucha.
The aim of the article is to present the requirements to suppliers in the field of implementation of quality management and environment system. The study was based on literature, the guidelines contained in international management standards, guidelines for providers developed by the companies (the producers of finished products), observation of economic practice was analyzed the essence of these requirements as the basis for evaluation and development of suppliers. The results of the analysis indicate that the effective implementation of these requirements improve the quality of processes and products, reducing negative environmental impact, reducing the risk of possible dangers in the supply chain and to build relationships based on mutual trust between the partners of this chain.

Opis:: The authors analyse the standardisation of risk management as an effective tool for the safety of design solutions in residential construction. The analysed regulatory documentation answers the question of achieving an acceptable level of risk. Within the framework of improving environmental management, the use of specific penalties looks quite natural. However, the primary purpose of ISO 14001 is to form a responsible attitude toward the environment and natural resources as the most crucial assets of economic activity. The article raises the issue that domestic standards cannot thoroughly guide risk analysts due to their lack of development and inconsistency with ISO 31000:2018 and ISO 14001:2016. It is necessary to develop a unique approach to risk assessment, de facto describing the interaction of different scenarios, which will ensure an increase in the environmental and economic effects in the field of housing safety.

Opis:: The article considers the problem of rationing wastewater discharge in terms of environmental risk management, caused by the pollution of waterbodies. The cases of using a simple indicator of water quality in the form of concentration of a substance, as well as a complex indicator of water quality were considered. The relevance of using a complex indicator is caused by the similar effect of various substances on the ecosystem and man. For both cases, the algorithms for determining the permissible composition of wastewater, ensuring compliance with the established standards of natural water quality in the control points of the water body with a given probability, were developed. In the case of using complex indicators in order to unambiguously solve the problem of rationing wastewater composition, permissible concentrations of substances were finally determined by solving the optimization problem. The optimization criterion is the minimum cost of water treatment. The method of ecological standardization of wastewater composition suggested in the article is applicable for the case of normal probability distribution of a substance in wastewater according to data of field measurements.

Adjustment of Polish power plants to rigorous requirements of environmental protection causes the necessity to incur substantial outlays. Particularly tightened environmental standards concern – big sources of fuel burning. Due to the necessity to ensure the state’s energy security it is necessary to modernise and build new generated powers in electrical power engineering. The situation causes growing investment outlays and electric energy generation costs. It will be particularly reflected in the market share fall, growth in energy generation costs and electric energy prices.

Opis:: The article highlights the issues of institutional and functional support for the formation and implementation of the national environmental policy through the prism of the war in Ukraine. The author offers her own understanding of the concept of "institutional and functional support for the formation and implementation of Ukraine's environmental policy" as a system of state, non-state and supranational institutions (entities) which directly and/or indirectly influence the formation and implementation of the State's environmental policy in the course of performing their tasks, functions and duties, as well as exercising their rights and powers. It is concluded that the efficiency and effectiveness of the formation and implementation of the national environmental policy in accordance with the requirements and needs of the present in the context of European integration directly depends on the optimisation of the national system of its institutional and functional support.
W artykule zwrócono uwagę na kwestie instytucjonalnego i funkcjonalnego zapewnienia kształtowania oraz wdrażania krajowej polityki ochrony środowiska przez pryzmat wojny w Ukrainie. Autor proponuje własne rozumienie pojęcia "instytucjonalnego i funkcjonalnego zapewnienia kształtowania i realizacji polityki ekologicznej Ukrainy" jako systemu państwowych, niepaństwowych i ponadnarodowych instytucji (podmiotów), które bezpośrednio i/lub pośrednio wywierają wpływ na kształtowanie i realizację polityki ekologicznej państwa w trakcie wykonywania swoich zadań, funkcji i obowiązków, a także wykonywania swoich praw i uprawnień. Stwierdza się, że skuteczność i efektywność kształtowania oraz wdrażania krajowej polityki ochrony środowiska zgodnie z wymogami i potrzebami współczesności w kontekście integracji europejskiej zależy bezpośrednio od optymalizacji krajowego systemu jej instytucjonalnego i funkcjonalnego wsparcia.

Opis:: Corporate social responsibility disclosure (CSRD) research trends shows a growing absence of information thoroughness and a decline in its trustworthiness, creating apprehension about the whole practice in reporting. The objective of this study is to determine the quality of the current CSRD on environmental and social information disclosure of Indonesian public listed companies (PLC) in the 2017 annual report, according to the latest GRI standards which is effective in 2018 as a guideline comprised of 25 items which is comply in Indonesia. The data collected were based on the environment and social items disclosed in annual reports published by all sectors of the company excluding banking and financial firms and companies with missing data of the year 2017. Descriptive analysis and multiple regression model are applied in this study and estimated using SPSS version 22. We found that the score of CSRD quality among the Indonesian PLC is mediocre. The average score of CSRD quality indicates that Indonesian PLC struggle to satisfy stakeholders’ expectation.
Badania w zakresie ujawniania społecznej odpowiedzialności przedsiębiorstw (CSRD) wskazują na rosnący brak rzetelnej informacji, co wiąże się z utratą wiarygodności, a to budzi obawy dotyczące całej praktyki raportowania. Celem tego artykułu jest określenie jakości obecnego CSRD w zakresie ujawniania informacji środowiskowych i społecznych indonezyjskich spółek giełdowych (PLC) w raporcie rocznym za 2017r., Zgodnie z najnowszymi standardami GRI, które obowiązują w 2018 r. Zebrane dane oparto na środowisku i grupach społecznych ujawnionych w rocznych raportach publikowanych przez wszystkie sektory firm, wyłączeniem firm bankowych i finansowych oraz firm z brakującymi danymi za 2017r. W niniejszym badaniu zastosowano analizę opisową i model regresji wielokrotnej używając SPSS w wersji 22. Stwierdzono, że wynik jakości CSRD wśród indonezyjskich spółek giełdowych jest niezadawalający. Średni wynik jakości CSRD wskazuje, że indonezyjskie spółki giełdowe starają się przede wszystkim zaspokoić oczekiwania interesariuszy.
