    Opis:
    Na obszarze Polski występuje duże zróżnicowanie powierzchni ziemi i różnorodność form krajobrazu, z przewagą krajobrazów rolniczych. Krajobraz rolniczy wyróżnia się intensywnym zagospodarowaniem terenu pod potrzeby produkcji rolnej a także znaczącym udziałem elementów seminaturalnych (półnaturalnych). Na wielu obszarach rolniczych występują agroekosystemy charakteryzujące się dominacją dużych powierzchni upraw w monokulturze. W zachodniej części Polski w krajobrazie rolniczym występują wielkostadne fermy chowu trzody chlewnej i bydła. Wraz z korzyściami ekonomicznymi – dynamiczny rozwój rolnictwa konwencjonalnego powoduje jednak zmiany w środowisku. Ustalenia Wspólnej Polityki Rolnej UE i Program Rozwoju Obszarów Wiejskich (PROW) zmierzają do spowolnienia (retardacji) niekorzystnych zmian środowiska obszarów wiejskich. Dają podstawy do ochrony środowiska glebowo-wodnego przed postępującą degradacją, a także do ochrony różnorodności biologicznej na różnych poziomach. Wspomaga to także przyjęta w 2011 roku przez Komisję Europejską, Strategia Różnorodności Biologicznej. „Zazielenianie upraw” i szczegółowe pakiety w ramach programów rolnośrodowiskowo-klimatycznych. Wspierają one utrzymanie różnorodności biologicznej na obszarach posiadających duże walory przyrodnicze. W artykule przedstawiono działania w celu ochrony krajobrazu i różnorodności biologicznej.
    The area of Polish landscape is very diverse in land structure and landscape, with predominance of agricultural landscapes. Agricultural landscape is characterized by intensive land development for the needs of agricultural production and a significant share of seminatural elements. In many rural areas agro-ecosystem are characterized by the dominance of monoculture in crops. Farms of breeding pigs and cattle are present in western part of Polish landscape. Along with economic benefits – the dynamic development of conventional agriculture causes, however, changes in the environment. Establishes of EU Common Agricultural Policy and the Rural Development Programmes (RDP) aimed at slowing down (retardation) adverse changes in rural areas environment. Retardation provides a basis for soil and water environment protection against the ongoing degradation and biodiversity protection at different levels. It supports also adopted in 2011 by the European Commission Strategy for Biological Diversity “Greening the crop” and detailed package of rural-environment-climate programs and promotion of biodiversity keeping in areas with high natural values. The paper presents actions in landscape and biodiversity protection.

    Environmental protection programs are presented in the legal order of the Polish law as strategic documents for the effective implementation of environmental policy (previously ecological policy) by commune, provincial and regional administration levels. These documents provide some information about areas of the local governmental administration in an integrated manner. In addition, they permit the local authorities to manage individual components of the territorial areas in the systematized way which is focused on social, economic and legal business in accordance with the rule of sustainable development. Environmental protection programs are created under the regulations in force. They also take into account the guidelines included in the strategic documents. The most crucial part of the programs is the analysis and evaluation of current environmental components of commune areas. The factors such as demography, economics and infrastructure are also taken into consideration in these documents. Based on the diagnosis of the current state of the environment, the environmental protection strategy is established, i.e.:the main targets and the activity guide lines which are needed to achieve the tasks framed in these documents. This method has also a positive impact on the implementation of environmental programs by the commune authority, being directly translated into the effects obtained. This article discusses the legal order of creating the environmental programs, their scope and meaning for the environmental policy carried out in Poland. This also indicates the achievements of the Polish Geological Institute in the field of formulating the environmental protection programs as well as the examples of using the documents in other branches, including research activities.

    Opis:
    The main purpose of the research was to identify factors determining spatial diversity of the activity of farmers in the area of the implementation of agricultural and environmental programs. The research was conducted using Statistica with the application of two research tools: the analysis of Correlation and Classification and Regression Tree (CART) analysis. The number of beneficiaries of the agricultural and environmental programs per 100 area payments’ beneficiaries in a given territorial unit was adopted as a dependent variable. Based on the research, it was found that features of the agrarian structure had the greatest impact on the diversity of the dependent variable within the Małopolska and Pogórze regions. In poviats, characterized by high fragmentation of farms, the farmers’ agricultural and environmental activities were determined by the scale of nature protection area and unemployment rate. Moreover, agricultural and environmental programs were statistically implemented more often at locations where other forms of support were taken advantage of, e.g. support for young farmers.
    Głównym celem podjętych badań była identyfikacja czynników determinujących przestrzenne zróżnicowanie aktywności rolników w zakresie wdrażania programów rolno-środowiskowych. Badania przeprowadzono w programie Statistica, wykorzystując dwa narzędzia badawcze: analizę korelacji oraz model drzew klasyfikacyjnych C&RT. Jako zmienną zależną przyjęto liczbę beneficjentów programów rolno-środowiskowych w przeliczeniu na 100 beneficjentów płatności obszarowych w danej jednostce terytorialnej. Wyniki badań wskazywały, że największy wpływ na zróżnicowanie zmiennej zależnej na obszarze Małopolski i Pogórza miały cechy opisujące strukturę agrarną. W powiatach o dużym rozdrobnieniu gospodarstw aktywność rolno-środowiskowa rolników była zdeterminowana skalą obszarowej ochrony przyrody i poziomem bezrobocia. Ponadto wdrażanie programów rolno-środowiskowych było statystycznie częstsze tam, gdzie korzystano z innych form wsparcia, tj. wsparcie dla młodych rolników.

    The article presents an educational program called Friend of the National Park, which is the result of cooperation of Malopolska national parks ( Babiogórski PN, Gorczański PN, Magurski PN, Ojcowski PN, Tatrzański PN) and two universities of Cracow (Andrzej Frycz Modrzewski Cracow University and University of Agriculture). Problematic gives the background to the program, context relations man – environment, adopted the concept of theoretical, methodological aspects of the construction program and experiential dimension of the implementation of the program on the basis of the program for the period from 1 May to 30 September 2015, mostly in the Malopolska national parks participating in the program. Friend of the National Park is dedicated to all school-age children who want to explore and know better connection between human beings, know more about the nature and everything what is around us. Children and their parents or teachers can joy together during the activities offered in summer by the Malopolska National Parks.

    The article presents the evaluation of usefulness of selected computer applications applied in the process of educating students from ordered specialty Environmental Engineering who study at the Silesian University of Technology in the faculty of Energy and Environmental Engineering. The evaluation was carried out by means of the analysis of questionnaires filled in by the graduates of the first cycle degree programme at the aforementioned specialty. The analysis was carried out for both, the area of application of the selected software related to the didactic process and the area of the software application in the predicted professional career of the students surveyed.
    W artykule przedstawiono ocenę przydatności wybranych programów komputerowych zastosowanych w procesie kształcenia studentów kierunku zamawianego inżynieria środowiska studiujących na Wydziale Inżynierii Środowiska i Energetyki Politechniki Śląskiej. Ocenę przeprowadzono poprzez analizę ankiet wypełnionych przez absolwentów studiów I stopnia ww. kierunku. Przeprowadzono analizę zarówno dla obszaru zastosowań wybranych programów związanego z procesem dydaktycznym, jak i dla obszaru zastosowań tego oprogramowania w prognozowanej karierze zawodowej ankietowanych studentów.

    Opis:
    In the following article the cooperation between a German and a Polish organization will be exemplarily demonstrated. This cooperation consists of a longterm, planned development of a unique use of genetic resources in the field of cattle breeding. First, there was an intensive approach of the two organizations and the involved persons by twofold visits, repeated excursions of groups of farmers from Poland and by giving various lectures by experts from Osnabrück in the county of Ostrołęka, in which the trends of the economic conditions for the breeding-work in Germany, the resulting trends within the breeding programs and within the management routines for dairy cattle has been brought to notice to a very interested audience. From this exchange of experience and from the mutual visits resulted a confidence for a long lasting cooperation. This intensive European relationship across the border of countries surely has some kind of model-character for the special and direct relations, which resulted from the gentle development of the approach and which enabled many friendly and fellow-man relationships – never to forget.
    W niniejszym artykule przedstawiono współpracę pomiędzy organizacją niemiecką i polską jako przykład modelowej współpracy. Współpraca ta obejmuje długoterminowy, planowany rozwój unikalnego zastosowania zasobów genetycznych w zakresie hodowli bydła. Po pierwsze, odnotowano intensywne podejście dwóch organizacji i zaangażowanie osób poprzez wizyty składane dwukrotnie, powtarzane wycieczki grup rolników z Polski i liczne wykłady wygłaszane przez ekspertów z Osnabrück na terenie powiatu Ostrołęka, w czasie których przedstawiono trendy warunków ekonomicznych dla prac związanych z hodowlą w Niemczech, trendy w programach hodowli i w ramach zarządzania rutynowymi czynnościami w odniesieniu do krów mlecznych. Zostało to skierowane do wiadomości odbiorców szczególnie zainteresowanych tą tematyką. Wymiana doświadczeń i obopólne wizyty zaowocowały długoterminową, trwałą współpracą. Wspominana intensywna relacja europejska, międzynarodowa współpraca z pewnością ma charakter modelowy dla relacji wyjątkowej i bezpośredniej, która wynikała z łagodnego podejścia i umożliwiała powstanie wielu przyjacielskich i partnerskich relacji, które nie zostaną zapomniane.
