    Protection at work with regard to health and safety at work is an important part of Albanian Labour Legislation. Determination of general obligation of the employer aims at protecting the employees’ health and security. With regard to health security and protection, Albanian Labour Code foresees that the employer is responsible in cases of accidents and professional diseases considering that it should clearly define rules for technical security. With the regard to employers’ responsibility, it should be mentioned that this might be administrative or penal, depending on the violations occurred a few of which contain elements of criminal acts. An important step forward in regulating labour relations is to strengthen inter-institutional cooperation and cooperation between employees, employers, trade unions and state and to further dialogue between those. However, implementation of the Labour Law plays an important role in the stabilization of labour relations in general. An important role remains with institutions such as Ministry of Labour and Equal Opportunities, National Labour Council and State Labour Inspectorate.

    In Norwegian legal system the model of employees security is typical and occurs on two levels. Accordingly to first, it’s provides the special employment protection, in the meantime the second guarantees the right to remuneration for illness period, as well as to benefit from the social security. The mentioned matters are governed by the following: the Act on Labour Law of 17 June 2005 and the Act on Benefits of Social Security of 28 February 1997. Both of them are analyzed by Authors. Act on Labour Law regulates the scope of the employment protection and conditions that allows the termination of the employment contract, while the Law on Benefits, provides the social security provisions, specifying the mode and the rules for the granting remuneration/allowances, periods of their payment and the workers entitled. An analysis of the provisions of Norwegian statutory regulations (taking into account the protection of employment contract during the illness) shows the restrictive solutions in this field. However, the employment protection against dismissals during the period of 12 months of illness, is not rigid, whereas the termination during the period of incapacity for work is permitted with applying the general conditions of the termination of employment contract. The special attention must be given to the institution of egenmelding, which must be understood as the specific employee’s entitlement for justified absence at work (due to illness) based on the principle of loyalty of the both parts of employment relationship.

    In this article previous output in the field of (employers) social risk in the light of social security and labour law was presented. However, the most important aim was to emphasize on similarities and differences of social risk definitions. In the next step, the new definition of employer's social risk was introduced which is more suitable in the economic approach. The author, based on formulated definition, made the hypothesis which lets to answer the question: "do and how employer's social risk impact on situation in the labour market. In this context, the most valuable will be empirical verification of relation between the scope of employment protection legislation and the employment rate of fragile group in the labour market.

    In the fifi rst cited judgments, the Supreme Court ruled that the expenses allowance cannot be paid to posted workers and – as a part of an employee’s remuneration – constitutes the basis for social security contributions. In the second judgment the Supreme Court stated that employer has a right to claim for the reimbursement of the outstanding social security contributions payable by the employee, which was paid by the employer as a result of court decision.

    The article deals with the strategic importance of business counterintelligence in the enterprise, in relation to the most cited internal and external threats for modern innovative business activity. The authors through a denial notice what is not business counterintelligence in the enterprise, try to explain its essence at the organization, including the description of its fundamental objectives. In the practical part, the authors deal with the descriptions necessary to take action on the detection of hostile activities against the company, essentially by taking work with human sources. A special place is occupied by considerations for identifying an industrial espionage net at the protected enterprise by the business counterintelligence branch. The final part of the article contains a reflection on industrial espionage threats not related to cybercrime.

    W artykule dokonano identyfikacji składowych bezpiecznego środowiska pracy posiłkując się wynikami badań, dotyczących oczekiwań pracowników wykonawczych. Stwierdzono, że istnieją przesłanki do poszerzenia obszaru tego środowiska, rozpatrywanego jak dotąd głównie przez pryzmat bhp, o aspekty psychospołeczne, dotyczące odpowiedniego kształtowania warunków i bezpieczeństwa zatrudnienia oraz atmosfery pracy i współdziałania, co sprzyja wzrostowi dobrostanu zatrudnionych, a przez to ich zaangażowania.
    The paper identifies components of a safe working environment drawing from results of research into blue collar workers’ expectations. It was found that the environment, instead of taking the traditional work-safety-and-hygiene perspective, might be extended with psycho-social elements creating the desired conditions and security of employment, work atmosphere and cooperation, which contributes to employees’ well-being as well as increases their commitment.

    Opis:
    Occupational stress factors of the security employee are undisputable. The action of the security guard can be a person’s security, valuables’ security, convoying, a V.I.P. bodyguard duty, protection of the mass events, etc. Multiple stressors are frequently present, especially during a 24-hrs duty of the security employees, under bad weather conditions, and under constant potential danger. Several other negative factors of the security guard occupation can be distinguished: low wages, overtime work fatigue, traumatic work incidents, risk of the license revoked, objectification of the worker by the employer. Other frequent factors can be observed such as low self-esteem of the security guard, low competence of the co-worker within the team, unsecured employment conditions, conflict of functions within the team, maintaining the security guard function under the pressure of unemployment and/or lack of perspectives, or lack of concretized life plans of the employee. A major negative factor, among essential disadvantages (unfavorable conditions) of the security guard occupation, is the absence of any psychological support under crisis situations. The absence of systemic solutions, which could facilitate elimination of the occupational stressors, is evident in the security sector. Lack of adequate knowledge and skills in managing the occupational stress pose a substantial risk of „radical solution”, such as a suicide attempt. Incidents of the bodyguard suicides in the real life conditions are presented and possible preventive actions are proposed (suggested).

    At a time when there is still the effects of the global economic crisis, many companies on the brink of bankruptcy. Many businesses deferred fulfillment of its obligations, paying bills and working on the debt. The emergence of insolvency raises additional cost (penalty payment to suppliers, increased interest on loans outstanding in the period and others), reducing corporate income, resulting from increased costs associated with overcoming the subsequent insolvency (obtaining additional financial resources), or. forced liquidation of the company. It also finds many businesses and entrepreneurs, who does not remit contributions for its employees do not pay them their wages and other demands. Progressive business indebtedness may result in failure of the company. Every employer must pay, however, guarantee insurance in the event of insolvency. Therefore, the employee is protected from the condition that the employer failed to pay him for his work when it becomes insolvent, so when it comes to disposing of the company. This includes not only employees working in Slovakia, but also in all European Union Member States. They are obliged to comply with the directives issued by the European Union to regulate all matters relating to employer insolvency.

    Nowadays, in management, emphasis is put on the assumption that the key factors for business success are well-used intangible assets, which include a type of knowledge based on information that plays an enormous role, which in turn is formed on the basis of data that take the form of giant collections (so-called ‘big data’). Their acquisition, collection and processing poses the risk guaranteeing safety from the point of view of behaviours and attitudes. This is because technological progress stays ahead of the employees’ preparation for the use of modern security instruments in this area. The goal of the paper is to provide the basic elements of the social dimension of information security for an organisation. The starting point for the considerations is the discussion of examples of employee behaviours that are conducive and also endangering the confidentiality of information resources. The paper provides examples of the activities of members of an organisation who, guided by individual benefits, with a low level of awareness of the effects of their actions, have created situations that have increased the risk of losing key information resources. Subsequently, the paper discusses the model of organisational culture as suggested by Edgar H. Schein with its enrichment of the concept “organizational heroes”, proposed by Geert Hofstede. The indications of the method and the power of the impact of organisational culture on the functioning of the members of the company were approximate. The final part of the paper presents the concept of organisational subculture, which rests on information security culture, together with the analysis of examples of actions aimed at its shaping and development.
    Współcześnie w zarządzaniu wskazuje się, że dominującymi, kluczowymi czynnikami sukcesu przedsiębiorstw są właściwie wykorzystane zasoby niematerialne, wśród których olbrzymią rolę odgrywa wiedza kreowana na bazie informacji, które z kolei są formowane na podstawie danych, przybierających postać olbrzymich zbiorów (tzw. big data). W ich pozyskiwaniu, gromadzeniu oraz przetwarzaniu pojawia się problem zagwarantowania bezpieczeństwa z punktu widzenia zachowań i postaw pracowniczych. Dzieje się tak dlatego, że postęp technologiczny wyprzedza w tym zakresie przygotowanie pracowników do użytkowania nowoczesnych instrumentów bezpieczeństwa. Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie podstawowych elementów społecznego wymiaru bezpieczeństwa informacyjnego organizacji. Punktem wyjścia w rozważaniach jest omówienie przykładowych zachowań pracowniczych sprzyjających – jak również zagrażających – zachowaniu poufności posiadanych zasobów informacyjnych. Zaprezentowane zostały przykładowe działania członków organizacji, którzy, kierując się indywidualnymi korzyściami, przy niskim poziomie świadomości skutków swoich czynów kreowali sytuacje zwiększające poziom zagrożenia utraty kluczowych zasobów informacyjnych. W dalszej części publikacji omówiono model kultury organizacyjnej Edgara H. Scheina, wzbogacony o pojęcie „bohaterów organizacyjnych” zaproponowanym przez Geerta Hofstedego. Przybliżone zostały wskazania o sposobie i sile wpływu kultury organizacyjnej na funkcjonowanie członków przedsiębiorstwa. W ostatniej części publikacji zaprezentowano koncepcję subkultury organizacyjnej, którą jest kultura bezpieczeństwa informacji wraz z omówieniem przykładowych działań służących jej kształtowaniu i rozwojowi.

    High-performance human resource practices are the essential elements for organizational success and need the focus of researchers and policymakers. Thus, the present research aims to investigate the impact of human resource practices, such as recruitment and selection, employee security and training, and development, on the firm performance of the manufacturing industry in Vietnam. This study also examines the moderating impact of organizational climate for creativity among the links of recruitment and selection, employee security, training and development, and firm performance of the manufacturing industry in Vietnam. This research has followed the quantitative methods of data collection, used the questionnaires to obtain the data from respondents and applied the smart-PLS to test the hypotheses. The results indicated that recruitment and selection, employee security and training and development positively associate with the firm performance of the manufacturing industry in Vietnam. The results also revealed that organizational climate to creativity significantly moderates among the links of recruitment and selection, employee security, training and development, and firm performance of the manufacturing industry in Vietnam. This research has guided policymakers to formulate effective policies related to high-performance human resource practices that could enhance organizational performance.
    Wysokowydajne praktyki w zakresie zasobów ludzkich są podstawowymi elementami sukcesu organizacyjnego i wymagają uwagi badaczy i decydentów. Dlatego niniejsze badanie ma na celu zbadanie wpływu praktyk dotyczących zasobów ludzkich, takich jak rekrutacja i selekcja, bezpieczeństwo i szkolenie pracowników oraz rozwój, na wyniki firmy w branży produkcyjnej w Wietnamie. Badanie to analizuje również moderujący wpływ klimatu organizacyjnego na kreatywność wśród powiązań rekrutacji i selekcji, bezpieczeństwa pracowników, szkolenia i rozwoju oraz wyników firmy w branży produkcyjnej w Wietnamie. W badaniu wykorzystano ilościowe metody zbierania danych, wykorzystano kwestionariusze do uzyskania danych od respondentów oraz zastosowano smart-PLS do przetestowania hipotez. Wyniki wskazują, że rekrutacja i selekcja, bezpieczeństwo i szkolenie pracowników oraz rozwój pozytywnie wiążą się z wynikami firmy w branży produkcyjnej w Wietnamie. Wyniki ujawniły również, że klimat organizacyjny do kreatywności znacznie łagodzi powiązania rekrutacji i selekcji, bezpieczeństwa pracowników, szkolenia i rozwoju oraz wyników firmy w branży produkcyjnej w Wietnamie. Badania te skłoniły decydentów do sformułowania skutecznych polityk związanych z wysokowydajnymi praktykami w zakresie zasobów ludzkich, które mogłyby zwiększyć wydajność organizacji.

    Artykuł prezentuje specyfikę stosunku umowy o dzieło w kontekście systemu ubezpieczeń społecznych. Celem tekstu jest rozróżnienie okoliczności, jakie towarzyszą zawarciu tej umowy, oraz konsekwencji niewłaściwego zakwalifikowania danego zobowiązania jako umowy o dzieło wobec jej stron (np. konieczności poniesienia dodatkowych kosztów w przypadku zakwalifikowania jej finalnie jako innej umowy cywilnoprawnej). Artykuł wyjaśnia, w jakich sytuacjach należy objąć zawierane umowy o dzieło obowiązkowym ubezpieczeniem społecznym, jak również przedstawia korzyści i zagrożenia wynikające z zawarcia takiej umowy. Osiągnięciu wyznaczonego celu podporządkowano układ niniejszego tekstu oraz wykorzystane metody badawcze: dogmatyczno-prawną oraz teoretyczno-prawną, obejmujące krytyczną analizę powszechnie obowiązujących przepisów, literatury przedmiotu, orzecznictwa. Analiza zgromadzonego materiału badawczego pozwoliła na potwierdzenie wielu wątpliwości co do wykładni i stosowania powszechnie obowiązujących przepisów we wskazanym zakresie, jak również konieczności indywidualnego interpretowania każdej umowy. Dodatkowo artykuł rozpatruje wpływ regulacji w sprawie COVID-19.
    The article presents the specifics of an employment contract in the context of the social security system. The purpose of the text is to distinguish between the circumstances surrounding the concluding of such a contract and the consequences of any failure to classify the undertaking in question as a mandatory agreement in relation to the contract parties (for example, the need to bear additional costs if it were to be qualified as being another type of civil law contract). The article explains in which situations mandatory agreements incur compulsory social security, as well as the benefits and risks arising from the concluding of such a contract. The text objectives were achieved, with the test methods used being: dogmatic-legal and theoretical-legal ones, including a critical analysis of generally applicable legislation, subject literature, and case-law. Analysis of the collected research material confirmed doubts as to the interpretation and application of generally applicable rules in this area, as well as the need for the individual interpretation of each and every contract. In addition, the article considers the impact of COVID-19 regulations.

    Opis:
    The aim of the research conducted in this publication was an attempt to identify the reasons for numerous resignations from participation in employee capital plans among people living in the area of Central Pomerania in Poland. The theoretical research method was used in the research process – an analysis of the research literature (using the content analysis technique), individual in-depth interviews, and statistical data. According to the research, the respondents have an unfavourable opinion on employee capital plans due to low trust in the government, legal stability, and a relatively low level of knowledge on saving for their future retirement benefits.
    Celem badań opisanych w niniejszej publikacji było zidentyfikowanie przyczyn licznych rezygnacji z uczestnictwa w pracowniczych planach kapitałowych wśród osób zamieszkujących tereny Pomorza Środkowego w Polsce. W procesie badawczym zastosowano teoretyczną metodę badawczą – analizę źródeł (z wykorzystaniem techniki analizy treści) bibliograficznych, indywidualnych wywiadów pogłębionych oraz danych statystycznych. Jak wynika z przeprowadzonych badań, respondenci mają niekorzystne zdanie o pracowniczych planach kapitałowych ze względu na małe zaufanie do rządu, obawę o stabilność prawa oraz stosunkowo niski poziom wiedzy w zakresie oszczędzania na swoje przyszłe świadczenia emerytalne.
