By placing ourselves in the theoretical paradigm which takes into account the sociological dimension of a translation which undermines the myth of an objective translation and a transparent translator, we sought to study the translator’s subjective, ideological, emotional interventions. The analysis of the translator's traces, revealing a conscious manipulation which seeks to produce a persuasive effect or a more or less unconscious interpretation imbued with the translator's own emotions will allow us to show the transformations that the pathemic expressions of the discourse (the emotional charge of the discourse, the ethos or the image that the author projects of himself, etc.) go through as well as the consequences got on the level of the identity construction of the conflict’s protagonists.  
En se plaçant dans le paradigme théorique qui prend en compte la dimension sociologique de la traduction qui met à mal le mythe d’une traduction objective et d’un traducteur transparent, nous avons cherché à étudier les interventions subjective, idéologique, émotionnelle aussi bien conscientes qu’inconscientes de la part du traducteur. L’analyse des traces du traducteur, révélatrices d’une manipulation consciente qui cherche à produire un effet de persuasion ou d’une interprétation plus ou moins inconsciente imprégnée des émotions mêmes du traducteur nous permettront de montrer les transformations que peuvent subir les expressions pathémiques du discours (la charge émotive du discours, l’ethos ou l’image que projette l’auteur de lui-même, etc.), ainsi que les conséquences subies au niveau de la construction identitaire du texte (l’image des protagonistes du conflit).

The author explains and defines autotheories by analyzing Polish-language texts: Znikanie (Disappearance) by Izabela Morska, Polska, rozkosz, uniwersytet (Poland, Pleasure, University) by Michał Paweł Markowski and Harcowanie na planie. Her-storia stawania się matką-akademiczką w polskim uniwersytecie (Enter Stage Left. Her-story of Becoming Mother-Academic at a Polish University) by Beata Karpińska-Musiał. Upon reading of these texts, it becomes evident that there is a critical potential in autotheories that link academic writing with memoir. Autotheories are also an example of creative, literary academic writing.

The article focuses on the effectiveness of the name-based method (Odimienna Metoda Nauki Czytania) developed by Irena Majchrzak in foreign language teaching to young pupils. Children’s names prove a good starting point for learning to read in a foreign language. As a valuable educational material of emotional charge, the name constitutes an integral part of the learner and thus can be used as a personalised primer containing a basic text to be the first read by children. Originally used to teach reading in Polish kindergartens, the name-based method may inspire teachers in teaching a foreign language to young learners as an ingenious pedagogical innovation. My professional experience indicates that the reading skills in a foreign language in the first stage of education are underestimated. My data come from a six-month experiment in a primary bilingual school where I introduced the name-based method. As a result, the children’s own names in their foreign language versions provided an excellent educational basis. The conclusions reveal that this method helps in expanding vocabulary, developing linguistic sensitivity, stimulating communication skills, and positively affecting language fluency.

A main goal of this essay is the analysis of the contemporary phase of evolution of European “organism” by using approaches from political science and neuroscience. The transdisciplinary perspective allows for better understanding of finer points of human behavior which can be lost only in political science analysis. My simple and obvious assumption is that politics is about people. Human beings create groups, communities, etc. If it is so, maybe we should start with looking more closely into mechanisms of the most important part of ourselves. The brain. It is responsible for all human behaviour. Another crucial point is the connection between humans and environment. The concept of co-evolution is fundamental and very useful when we want to show intertwining relations between interiority (brain, body) and externality (behaviour, social and political structures). Europe may be the very context for this analysis, but it is most of all our humanity.

Senior citizens today make up the last generation whose childhood passed without significant mass media consumption. It is a generation that was raised to respect the written word and the sanctity of books. This article presents an analysis of statements made by students of the Third Age University in Wroclaw about their childhood reading experiences, especially in relation to their emotional reactions to the most popular works of fiction from their childhood and the emotional relationships they forged with literary characters and their fates. The emotional circumstances of reading were also discussed, as well as the circumstance of first readings or community readings, emotional attachment to books as objects, e.g. gifted books or inaccessible books, and finally sentimental returns to youthful reading.

This article is part of the broad theme of advertising. In it, the author briefly presents the history of advertising, going back to ancient times, and discusses the rhetoric of advertising based on the artistic work of Oliviero Toscani. In doing so, she takes into account his critical view of advertising and explains how promotional messages affect people. The visual sphere of advertising is also highlighted in the discussion. In her considerations, the author comes to the conclusion that traditionally understood advertising, which is exclusively sales-oriented and operates with an unsophisticated message, does not have to be the only form of advertising objects and services. Depending on the tools used and the author's vision, advertising can dramatically change its face, acting as a counter to consumerism.

In this paper author presents the achievemenets of Leon Petrażycki and his novelty in various areas of humanities. Petrażycki is recognised as forerunner of deontic logic, and also as creator of the principle of adeqacy, ennoblement of law, pluralistic vision of law. He exhibits primacy of legal norms over moral norm, and he establish scientific legal policy. Additionaly Petrażycki is treated as classic of the sociology of law and also as the artificer of emotions.

In classic communication, emotion is transferred via three channels: verbal, nonverbal and paraverbal. With the audio description, which should enable blind and visually impaired people to perceive visual processes, the visual channel is omitted. Emotions are objectified using the available linguistic and para-linguistic means. On the basis of the corpora of the German-language audio films, relevant forms and forms of emotion transfer in the audio description are analyzed.

This research note focuses on human recognition of emotions embodied in a moving humanoid NAO robot. Emotional movements emulated on NAO intended to induce joy or sadness were presented to participants whose facial expressions were recorded and analysed with a Noldus FaceReader. Our preliminary results indicate reliable emotion recognition using the Laban choreographic approach in modelling robot’s affective gestures.

Face au développement de la communication médiée par les réseaux, l’expression des émotions a subi d’importants changements. Cette contribution propose une analyse linguistique de l’expression des émotions sur internet. Afin d’examiner la façon dont l’expression des émotions peut être exploitée par l’énonciateur, l’étude a porté sur un discours propagandiste diffusé sur internet. Plus particulièrement, Dabiq et Dar al-Islam, les deux revues publiées en ligne par l’État islamique, ont constitué notre corpus. Il a été ainsi possible de voir comment les émotions, par nature spontanées, se traduisent ici en productions soigneusement formulées.
Due to the development of the computer-mediated communication, the expression of emotions has undergone significant changes. This paper proposes à linguistic analysis of the verbalisation of emotions on the Internet. The goal was to examine the way the expression of emotions can be exploited by the speaker. Therefore, the study was conducted on a propagandist discourse available on the Internet. More particularly, Dabiq and Dar al-Islam, the official online magazines published by the Islamic State, constituted the corpus of this analysis. This way, it was possible to investigate how emotions, which are spontaneous by nature, become carefully formulated productions.

The disturbing power of the passions or affections, collectively known as πάθος, was the subject of a remarkable debate in Graeco-Roman philosophical schools, as well as in Philo of Alexandria and soon among various early Christian authors. This paper contributes to the recent approach to this subject but also explores new contexts. It examines cosmological (myth), anthropological (the mind – emotions relation) and theological (salvation) ways of addressing that problematic supremacy of emotions. Although it summarises earlier philosophical views, it focuses on Christian documents from the second century and their witness to that ancient debate. By comparison with the diversity of Christian views on the passions, the paper highlights the diverse ‘therapies’ proposed by Christian authors. In conclusion, it points out common motifs among Christian responses to the passions, as well as the differences in their remedies.

Opis:
Although knowledge and awareness about the importance of emo-tions in teaching and communication with children is quite developed, in practice it still clashes with the traditional model of education and beliefs regard-ing the role of the school. Interactions between teachers and students are often considered less important than the substantive content of the subjects. The re-sults of the research, as well as the author’s personal experience as a didactic and trainer, indicate that young people often pay attention to the lack of emotional support from teachers, which results in difficulties both in school and in their personal life. The aim of this article is to draw attention to emotional aspects of development and the role of teachers in these processes, which are crucial for functioning and building relationships in adult life. The author cites concepts and research that confirm that teacher emotional support is an important pre-dictor of children’s educational achievements and the development of their social skills. The subject seems to be more important in the face of contemporary reali-ties. The ubiquitous transformation and technological leap cause that the area of education also requires reevaluation and new directions of action.
Choć wiedza na temat znaczenia emocji i jego świadomość w pro-cesach nauczania i komunikacji z dziećmi są bardzo rozwinięte, w praktyce wciąż ścierają się one z tradycyjnym modelem edukacji i przekonań dotyczących roli szkoły. Interakcje pomiędzy nauczycielami a uczniami często uznawane są za mniej istotne niż merytoryczna wartość przedmiotów. Wyniki badań, jak również osobiste doświadczenie autorki jako dydaktyka oraz trenera wskazują, że młodzi ludzie często zwracają uwagę na brak wsparcia emocjonalnego ze strony nauczy-cieli, co skutkuje trudnościami zarówno w szkole, jak i w życiu osobistym. Celem niniejszego artykułu jest zwrócenie uwagi na aspekty emocjonalne w rozwoju oraz roli nauczycieli w tych procesach, które są kluczowe dla funkcjonowania i budowania relacji w dorosłym życiu. Autorka przytacza koncepcje i badania, które potwierdzają, że wsparcie emocjonalne nauczyciela jest ważnym predyk-torem osiągnięć edukacyjnych dzieci oraz rozwoju ich umiejętności społecznych. Temat zdaje się tym bardziej istotny w obliczu współczesnych realiów. Wszech-obecna transformacja i skok technologiczny sprawiają, że również obszar edukacji wymaga przewartościowania i podjęcia nowych kierunków działań.

Students, parents, teachers and researchers in the field of education disagree with each other about the contribution of homework in the overall student learning process. In particular, widespread criticism is directed at the emotional and cognitive load that homework imposes on the student, the considerable time they consume, and the disruption caused, according to the claim, to the social development of the student. This claim is supported by a series of empirical studies that have been carried out for decades, especially recently, in the world and in Israel. Nevertheless, the role that homework plays in the student learning process and their impact on other components of the student’s learning experience has never been studied in Arabic-speaking schools in the country.
