Opis:
The paper presents a concept, a construction, a circuit model and experimental results of the double-rotor induction motor. This type of a motor is to be implemented in the concept of the electromagnetic differential. At the same time it should fulfill the function of differential mechanism and the vehicle drive. One of the motor shafts is coupled to the direction changing mechanical transmission. The windings of the external rotor are powered by slip rings and brushes. The inner rotor has the squirrel-cage windings. The circuit model parameters were calculated based on the 7.5 kW real single-rotor induction motor (2p = 4). Experimental verification of the model was based on comparison between the mentioned single-rotor motor and double-rotor model with the outer rotor blocked. The presented results showed relatively good compliance between the model and real motor.

Opis:
In this paper [20] an analytical approach to decomposition of total phase EMI noises through algebraic calculations and the Fourier transform has been presented. Separating conducted EMI noise into different, common and differential mode (CM and DM) HF current components is important for a proper spectral analysis and application of EMI mitigation techniques. The results of calculations have been compared to EMI currents measured on the motor side of the PWM drive system. The proposed approach can be useful in comparative analysis of the influence of inverter control algorithms on spectra of CM currents in a given drive system.

Opis:
This paper presents the improved methodology for the direct calculation of steady-state periodic solutions for electromagnetic devices, as described by nonlinear differential equations, in the time domain. A novel differential operator is developed for periodic functions and the iterative algorithm determining periodic steady-state solutions in a selected set of time instants is identified. Its application to steady-state analysis is verified by an elementary example. The modified algorithm reduces the complexity of steady-state analysis, particularly for electromagnetic devices described by high-dimensional nonlinear differential equations.

Opis:
The electromagnetic transients in transformer windings exhibiting location–dependent inductances and capacitances are investigated in the time domain. Analytical functions describing this dependence are assumed and incorporated in the two integro–differential equations governing the transient voltage and current distributions. The boundary conditions are available from the source initiating the transients and the winding’s end termination. A numerical procedure is applied in order to get frequency domain solutions for the voltage and current in the form of Interpolating and Parametric Functions. The numerical Laplace inversion is then applied to these s–domain expressions. Results pertinent to transients initiated by step- and double-exponential impulse sources are presented and discussed. All possible transformers’ neutral connections are considered. The possible error introduced by neglecting either or both of the inductance and capacitance non-uniformities is addressed. Results indicate that the main error is attributed to neglecting the inductance non-uniformity, whereas the impact of the capacitance non-uniformity is relatively small. In most cases, the winding’s copper and insulation losses have a small effect on the transient response.
