Opis:
The elasto-viseoplastie constitutive equations of the Chaboehe model [I] have been developed and modified many times. The aim of the present paper is to present the existing Chaboche model variants and describe its scientific and engineering applications. A compact review of literature on these applications is given, focussed on publications offering a wider and more comprehensive view of the elasto-viscoplastic Chaboche model. The article is an introduction to a comprehensive investigation of the elasto-viscoplastic Chaboche model.

Opis:
The aim of the paper is to propose an FE procedure for static and dynamic nonlinear analysis including elasto-viscoplastic constitutive equations of the Bodner-Partom model. Basic equations of the constitutive model are given with the flow graph used in the FE procedure. The proposed procedure has been applied in the MSC.Marc commercial system with a user-defined UVSCPL subroutine that enables application to a wide range of varied finite elements. A number of simple problems of static and dynamic analysis are presented to show the accuracy of this approach. The numerical simulations are compared with experiments to validate the proposed FE procedure.

Opis:
The aim of the present paper is to propose a special kind of finite element procedure for dynamic and static analysis of civil engineering structures (e.g. trusses, beams, shells and spatial structures) including elasto-viscoplastic models. The Chaboche model with damage has been chosen from the wide range of available elasto-viscoplastic constitutive models for numerical calculations. The main advantage of the presented approach is the possibility of interference in subroutines and adjusting them to a particular problem (e.g. altering the form of constitutive equations). A user-defined UVSCPL subroutine has been proposed to introduce the elasto-viscoplastic model into the MSC.Marc system.

Opis:
Modelling of the continuum damage framework, is developed for application in the elasto-viscoplastic Chaboche constitutive model. A brief description of the basic variant of the Chaboche model equations is given, followed by a discussion of the most important assumptions necessary to obtain evolution of the continuum damage model and its appli-cation to the open FE commercial program. A consistent presentation of the two proposed approaches is followed by numerical examples.

elasto-viscoplastic model
Opis:
Time dependence of soft soils has already been thoroughly investigated. The knowledge on creep and relaxation phenomena is generally available in the literature. However, it is still rarely applied in practice. Regarding the organic soils, geotechnical engineers mostly base their calculations on the simple assumptions. Yet, as presented within this article, the rate-dependent behaviour of soft soils is a very special and important feature. It influences both the strength and the stiffness of a soil depending on time. It is, thus, significant to account for time dependence in the geotechnical design when considering the soft soils. This can result in a more robust and economic design of geotechnical structures. Hence, the up-to-date possibilities of regarding creep in practice, which are provided by the existing theories, are reviewed herein. In this article, we first justify the importance of creep effects in practical applications. Next, we present the fundamental theories explaining the time-dependent behaviour of organic soils. Finally, the revision of the existing constitutive models that can be used in numerical simulations involving soft soils is introduced. Both the models that are implemented in the commercial geotechnical software and some more advanced models that take into account further aspects of soft soils behaviour are revised. The assumptions, the basic equations along with the advantages and the drawbacks of the considered models are described.
