Opis:
The article deals with ball-type safety-overrunning clutches' elastic characteristics in overload mode. Main semi-couplings geometric parameters, particularly ball stroke and semi-couplings twisted angles, affecting operation speed and clutch elastic torque considered and obtained expressions for this parameters determination. Main clutch parts force interaction features in the final overload operation period analyzed and ratios for the clutch final period load are obtained. Based on current and previous studies, the expressions for elastic torque in the overload operation period are estimated. Obtained results could become the tool for the dynamics analysis of studied clutch-equipped driving operation during the clutch reengagement in overload mode. It is shown the expedience of using in high-speed driving clutches with large values of grooves to clutch axis inclination angle to decrease dynamic loads in driving, because in little and middle angles values provide nosedive dropping of final stage torque which can become a source of intense oscillations in the driving equipped with clutch in overload mode.

Opis:
The description of the scheme and design of the test bench for testing vibration isolators intended for use in the vehicle's cabin suspension. Test bench construction allows to implement a wide range of loadings on vibration isolator of the vehicle cabin, to investigate the impact of the loading's arm changing and to perform analysis of the vibration isolator’s elastic and damping characteristics changing impact on cushioning quality. Variant of the test bench construction modernization, which can allow applying typical exploitation loads, which include vertical and lateral components, is described. We propose a scheme of forced oscillations excitation system on the test bench by cam-eccentric mechanism. It includes a DC motor with stepless frequency regulation and with cams of different shape on its shaft, which affect the contact surface of the test bench's vertical H-beam of a rocker arm. We also propose a scheme of forced oscillations excitation system on the test bench by inertial exciter. It includes a DC motor with stepless frequency regulation with inertial vibration exciter on its shaft, which consists of a mass, placed eccentrically relative to the shaft axis. There are two variants of the test bench scheme – with the forced oscillations excitation device and without it.

For understanding the effects of an internal microstructure, generalised microcontinuum theories with additional microstructural parameters are developed. One such a parameter, called the characteristic length of the material comparable with the internal cell size of the material is involved in the couple stress theory. The problem of propagation of Lamb waves in a plate with an internal microstructure and loaded with an inviscid liquid on both sides is studied using the couple stress theory. The dispersion equation of Lamb waves with the liquid loadings is derived. The impact of the liquid loadings is studied on the propagation of Lamb waves. The effect of the characteristic length is also studied on the phase velocity of Lamb waves in the plate for various modes in the presence of liquid loadings.

Opis:
The aim of the investigation was to study the elastic properties and chemical composition of rock samples based on laboratory measurements. Three cuboid samples of diabase, granite and quartz were tested under laboratory conditions. The shape of samples is a cuboid with dimensions 0.1 x 0.05 x 0.05 m and the measurements were made in three directions. The Pundit Lab+ equipment was used for tests. The signal frequency value was 250 kHz. The propagation times of P- and S-waves were designated that allows to determine the elastic dynamic moduli values. The Japanese JEOL USA Scanning Electron Microscope was also used for tests. The chemical composition of rocks were determined by characteristic X-rays analysis. Obtained results show that the ultrasonic measurements and SEM are useful tools to assign properties of rocks. This knowledge makes easier recognition in preliminary stages during engineering study.
