Opis:
Janusz Korczak’s works and pedagogical activities can be perceived on different levels. This text is a proposal of the analysis of Korczak’s achievements in the context of building personal relation-ships in the process of educating with respect to alumni and teachers-educators. In Conclusions the created reconstruction of the way Janusz Korczak understood mutual relations was interpreted in the context of the idea of dialogical personalism. It is a theoretical and empirical article based on Korczak’s works, the materials collected during a visit to Korczakianum. The method applied in this reconstruction was the fusion of the analysis of selected works and the open interview with the managers of this research lab.

Wprowadzenie. W opracowaniu odniesiono się do młodości, wykształcenia i życia rodzinnego Zygmunta Ruty, jednego z najwybitniejszych profesorów krakowskiego środowiska naukowego. W części zasadniczej przedstawiono dorobek naukowy prof. Z. Ruty oraz starano się pokazać jego wpływ na losy współczesnej pedagogiki. Nie zapomniano też o jego związkach z dzisiejszym Uniwersytetem Pedagogicznym w Krakowie, które wyrażały się w licznych prac naukowych oraz sumienności w wykonywaniu zadań nauczyciela akademickiego. Cele. Celem niniejszego opracowania było zaprezentowanie postaci jednego z bardziej znanych pedagogów i historyków wychowania. Osoby wybitnej i szlachetnej, zajmującej się dziejami edukacji w różnych jej aspektach, nie tylko historycznym. Materiały i metody. W opracowaniu wykorzystano metody: porównawczą i retrospektywną, pozwalające zweryfikować dostępność źródeł i istniejące opracowania, w których zaprezentowano dorobek naukowy prof. Z. Ruty, jako znanego pedagoga i historyka wychowania. Wyniki. W artykule ukazano jednego z najbardziej cenionych profesorów, nauczycieli i wychowawców związanych z Uniwersytetem Pedagogicznym w Krakowie.
Introduction. T he text refers to the youth, education, and family life of Zygmunt Ruta, one of the most outstanding professors of Krakow academia. The main part presents his scientific achievements and his influence on the modern pedagogy. The author also explores Professor Ruta’s connections with today’s Pedagogical University of Krakow, which resulted in numerous scientific works and years of thorough academic teaching. Aim. T he goal of the text is to present one of the most renown pedagogues and historians of education. Professor Ruta was a remarkable and noble person, expert in education and its various aspects, not only historical. Materials and methods. In order to prepare the text, the comparative and retrospective methods were used. They facilitated the verification of the available sources and existing publications in which the scientific achievements and the person of Professor Zygmunt Ruta – a renown pedagogue and historian of education – are presented. Results. T he paper presents one of the most acknowledged professors, teachers and educators connected with the Pedagogical University of Krakow.

Celem tego artykułu jest pokazanie pracy wychowawczo-profilaktycznej nauczyciela przedszkola, który poprzez swoją pracę ma kształtować gotowość prospołeczną dzieci. W sposób szczególny akcentowany jest tu plan badań eksperymentalnych, wynikający z obserwacji zawodowej autora oraz ze znajomości literatury przedmiotu. W artykule pokazano istotę zachowań prospołecznych dzieci na przestrzeni życia społecznego i we współczesnej rzeczywistości. Ważnym punktem prezentowanej pracy jest refleksja nad gotowością prospołeczną dzieci jako panaceum na kryzys wartości. Rozpatrywany temat i badania prowadzone w tym kierunku mają istotne znaczenie zarówno dla teorii, jak i praktyki w pracy nauczyciela przedszkola.
The aim of this article is to show the educational and preventive work of the kindergarten teacher, who through this work is to shape the pro-social readiness of children. In particular, the plan of experimental research, resulting from the professional observation of the author, and the literature of the subject are emphasized here. The article shows the essence of pro-social behaviour of children, in the space of social life and in the contemporary reality. An important point of the presented work is the reflection on the pro-social readiness of children as a panacea for the crisis of values. The discussed subject and research conducted in this direction are of great importance for both theory and practice in the work of the kindergarten teacher.

This article concerns the issue of emotional and social competences of a teacher in the face of the needs of contemporary education, in relation to the global situation caused by the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 virus. The state of emergency introduced today is a new context for the changes taking place, challenging every sphere of life, including education. The publication presents reports from selected international and national reports, showing the state of the introduced remote education, which highlighted a multitude of problems for representatives of the school environment. The most important educational problems concern the deteriorating mental condition of pupils and teachers and the crisis in interpersonal relations. Attention was drawn to a neglected area in pedagogy, which is the sphere of emotional and social competences of the student and the teacher, as well as to the necessity of their compulsory inclusion in the problems of research. The article presents the position that school can be an environment for conscious learning of emotions, therefore it is important that teachers have emotional and social competences at an optimal level in order to provide effective support. It is assumed that only emotionally and socially competent teachers can stimulate the development of these competences in pupils. It has been recognised as a new task, challenge and educational need.

Contemporarily more and more recognition for complementing and broadening school education is awarded to museum education which offers various educational experiences. For optimal connection of museum education with school teaching the collaboration of both institutions is necessary. Process of cooperation between museum and school is conditioned by the development of personal relationship between a teacher and a museum educator. Research results of western pedagogues show that educational dialogue between a teacher and a museum educator is possible. However, stereotypes present in mutual judgment make it difficult to conduct.
Współcześnie coraz większe uznanie w dopełnianiu i poszerzaniu edukacji szkolnej zyskuje edukacja muzealna oferująca różnego rodzaju doświadczenia edukacyjne. W celu optymalnego połączenia edukacji muzealnej z nauką szkolną konieczne wydaje się być wspólne działanie obu instytucji. Proces współpracy muzeum i szkoły uwarunkowany jest przebiegiem relacji osobowych między nauczycielem a edukatorem. Jak wskazują wyniki badań zachodnich pedagogów dialog edukacyjny pomiędzy nauczycielem a edukatorem muzealnym jest możliwy. Jednak stereotypy istniejące we wzajemnej ocenie utrudniają jego prowadzenie.

An important issue addressed in the presented article is the competencies of the RE teacher/ catechist. Two main problems are posed, summarized in the following questions: What competencies should a teacher of religion/catechist have? What qualities, according to secondary school pupils, should have an RE teacher? An attempt to answer such questions was made on the basis of an analysis of the literature on the subject and the results of a nationwide quantitative and qualitative study of secondary school pupils in Poland. The basic concepts of competence are discussed, groups of competencies relevant to the profession of religion teacher are characterized. Also presented are the results of research on the opinions of secondary school pupils regarding the person of a religion teacher/catechist.

Active professionalism is a modern notion in the discussion on teacher professionalism, which imposes on teachers the need to research the educational context in which they work and engage in their own professional development. Teachers are expected to inquire into their practice and reflect on their own experience, to actively direct their professional learning and deliberately go beyond their current abilities. The paper presents research conducted among 14 language teacher educators with the use of semi-structured interviews together with a study of their mind-maps and scientific and didactic publications. The target group was selected by snowball sampling. The author describes the research findings in which she finds two strategies of active learning performed by the teacher educators (remedial strategy and exploratory strategy). The first aims at improving the learning outcomes, and the latter focuses on self-improvement.

The paper is of investigative character for elaborating cooperation standards between museums and educational institutions. It aims at presenting and interpreting the results of the Museum’s own research of the Face Culture Project implemented in 2017–2019 at the National Museum in Cracow. The analysis of the factors favouring and impeding cooperation of museum and school has become the basis for a wider generalization and shaping models of museum and school learning in which the following elements have been distinguished: goals, subjects, objects, means, methods, conditions, and results. These elements have been presented from the perspective of both museum and school. The paper may prove of interest to school teachers and museum educators cooperating with schools, as well as to theoreticians of museology and of museum pedagogy, the latter developing as a subdiscipline of pedagogy.

Artykuł omawia rolę wychowawcy w myśli i działalności pedagogicznej Edmunda Bojanowskiego. Jego różnorodne publikacje ukazują, w jaki sposób wychowawca wpływał na rozwój swoich wychowanków w XIX wieku. Metody wychowawcze bł. Edmunda mogą być wzorem i inspiracją dla dzisiejszej działalności wychowawczej. Założyciel wiejskich ochronek w swojej koncepcji pedagogicznej osobom świeckim proponował różnego rodzaju inicjatywy, tj. zakładanie czytelni, szkół, szpitali, ochronek itp. W swoich projektach nakreślał wychowawcom linie edukacyjne, które przepojone były ciepłem miłości chrześcijańskiej i oświecaniem umysłu nowych pokoleń. Dzięki działalności oświatowej i charytatywnej pośród dzieci ludu wiejskiego próbował umacniać fundament ich życia, na którym opierało się późniejsze ich wychowanie i kształcenie. Najważniejszym jednak przesłaniem, jakie pozostawił swoim wychowawcom, była miłość do Pana Boga i do dziecka, która winna być głównym argumentem i pasją w pracy wychowawczej.
The article presents the role of the educator in the thought of Edmund Bojanowski. His various publications emphasize how the teacher has influenced the students' development not only in the nineteenth century, but also indicates the inspiration for the contemporary education of children. E. Bojanowski invited the laity educators offering them various initiatives, such as the creation of reading rooms, schools, hospitals, kindergartens, and so on. His projects outlined the full educative lines of Christian love and instructions that enlightened the thinking of new generations. Through educators working among the children of the rural population, Bojanowski strengthened the foundation of life hinging it on education and instruction. The most important message he left to his educators was the love of God and child, which should be the motive and passion in the educational work.

Artykuł ma na celu przybliżenie sylwetki Mariana Gietki – jednego z wielu przedwojennych absolwentów Wydziału Pedagogicznego Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego. Nie miał on ani wysokiego tytułu naukowego, ani też nie był autorem publikacji pedagogicznych. Położył jednakże wielkie zasługi dla Polski. Przyczynił się bowiem do wychowania osób, które w okresie międzywojennym podjęły trud pracy na rzecz Ojczyzny, w latach drugiej wojny światowej walczyły o wolność kraju, a w rzeczywistości powojennej przekazywały młodszym pokoleniom wszystkie wpojone im w procesie wychowawczym wartości uniwersalne, patriotyczne iduchowe. We wspomnieniach swoich wychowanków i na kartach prowadzonej przez siebie kroniki szkolnej jawi się jako idealny nauczyciel, wspaniały wychowawca i oddany sprawom społecznym obywatel.
The article is to aim to presentation of the silhouette of Marian Gietko – one of the many pre-war graduates of the Faculty of Education at the Lublin Catholic University. He did not have neither high academic title, nor was the author of educational publications. He put however a great merits for Polish. He contributed to education for people who in the interwar period have taken effort to work towards the Homeland, during the Second World War they fighting for the freedom of the country, and in the reality of the post-war they communicate to younger generations all of inculcated them in the educational process of universal, patriotic and spiritual values. In memories of his students and in the pages of carrying on his school chronicles, he stands as an ideal teacher, great educator and citizen devoted to social issues.

Artykuł dotyczy pracy nauczyciela-wychowawcy. Wywiera on wpływ na podopiecznych. Podejmuje działania, które są przez nich obserwowane i mają znaczenie w ich rozwoju. Wielką rolę ma jego stosunek do pracy wychowawczej. Poziom etyki nauczyciela obrazuje jego postawę jako pedagoga i pozwala mu na zrozumienie istoty pracy jako wychowawca.
The paper deals with the work of a teacher – educator. S/He influences the pupils, undertakes actions which are observed by them and affect their development. Special importance must be attached to the attitude towards the job. The ethical level of a teacher illustrates his/ her demeanour as a pedagogue and makes it possible to understand the essence of the educator’s job.
