The aim of this study was to present the variety of educational services in small towns of Małopolskie and Podkarpackie voivodeships. Performance of educational services is determined by numerous factors, of which the key ones are: economic and social policy, rules governing the funding of education and demographic processes. Education is a public service aimed at particular citizen groups (children, youth, adults) or at the society itself. The maim methods used in study was analysis of statistic data and structural coefficient and profiles of educational services. The first part of this paper deals with the condition and structure of the system in consideration to the types of schools and number of students affected by demographic changes in the region. The second part is an analysis of educational profiles in secondary schools in small cities with relation to their local job market and the economic advancement of the regions. The paper contains a juxtaposition of barriers and opportunities for the development of educational services in the analysed towns.

Dokonano próby rozpoznania i typologii przykładowych innowacji na uczelni, ukierunkowanych na kształtowanie zachowań organizacyjnych, komunikacji ze studentem i otoczeniem, a także w samym przedmiocie i sposobie świadczenia usługi edukacyjnej.
In this article, there were terms describing the phenomenon of innovativeness in industry and services examined. On that basis there were contingents of innovativeness in educational services as well as features of innovative university formulated. The extent of innovations at the university was shown, aimed at the development of organizational behavior, communication with the student and the environment, as well as the subject and the method of the provision of educational services.

Zarządzanie jakością usług jest obecnie ważnym aspektem funkcjonowania każdej organizacji. Sytuacja ta występuje również w związku z działalnością uczelni wyższych, gdzie na satysfakcję i lojalność studentów mają wpływ nie tylko zajęcia dydaktyczne, lecz także inne elementy, jak np. organizacje studenckie, pomoc materialna czy organizacja studiów. Organizacja procesu kształcenia, w tym również weryfikacja pozyskanej wiedzy, ma niebagatelny wpływ na samą jakość kształcenia. W związku z powyższym głównym celem artykułu jest określenie stopnia satysfakcji studentów z organizacji roku akademickiego. Badanie przeprowadzono w 2016 r. na grupie 1166 studentów Politechniki Rzeszowskiej im. I. Łukasiewicza.
Currently, service quality management is an important aspect of the functioning of every organization. This situation occurs as well in connection with the activity of tertiary education institutions at which it is not only classes, but also other elements, for example, student organizations, financial assistance, or the organization of studying, that exert influence on student satisfaction and loyalty. The organization of the process of instruction, including, as well, verifying acquired knowledge, exerts a lot of influence on the quality of education itself. In connection with that, the principal objective of this paper is to determine the degree of student satisfaction with the organization of academic year The research was conducted in 2016 on the group of 1,166 students of Ignacy Łukasiewicz Rzeszow University of Technology.

The article deals with the problem of applying the Kano questionnaire to make an assessment of quality features of an educational service by students. The authors present the usability of the Kano questionnaire for this purpose. The main aim of the research was to identify those attributes of an educational service that influence its quality from the point of view of a student of an institution of higher education. At the same time, the authors intended to examine whether there are differences in the evaluation of the qualities of this service between the groups of the so-called loyal and disloyal students. The survey research proved that there exist statistically significant differences of two proportions in the students’ assessment of the quality attributes of an educational service, while a hierarchization/classification of these attributes in most cases is similar in both of the examined groups.
W artykule podjęto temat wykorzystania kwestionariusza Kano do oceny cech jakościowych usługi edukacyjnej przez studentów. Autorki prezentują użyteczność kwestionariusza Kano. Głównym celem badań była identyfikacja atrybutów usługi edukacyjnej, które mają wpływ na jej jakość z punktu widzenia studenta szkoły wyższej. Równocześnie zamiarem autorek było sprawdzenie, czy pomiędzy badanymi grupami studentów tzw. lojalnych i nielojalnych występują różnice w ocenie ważności cech tejże usługi. Badania ankietowe wykazały, że występują statystycznie istotne różnice dwóch proporcji w zakresie oceny cech jakościowych usługi edukacyjnej, natomiast hierarchizacja/klasyfikacja tychże cech w większości przypadków przebiegała podobnie w obu badanych grupach.

The article presents the opinions of the teaching staff of 16 Public High Schools located in Bialystok on the idea of their occupational development and their participation in it, the main determinants of the developmental process and conditions and possibilities of occupational fulfillment. The information was collected on the basis of the questionnaire carried out in year 2008. In the research took part 160 educators (86% women and 14% men). The authors also describe the activities of the management staff of the researched high schools promoting occupational development.

Dynamiczny rozwój rynku usług edukacyjnych szkół wyższych w wyniku powstania wyższych szkół niepublicznych stał się interesującym obszarem badań w wielu dyscyplinach naukowych. Rynkowy charakter działalności edukacyjnej wyższych szkół niepublicznych sprawił, że szkoły te zaczęły działać jak podmioty rynkowe. Powodem tego jest przede wszystkim podstawowe źródło finansowania tych uczelni, którym są wpłaty odbiorców usług edukacyjnych. Uczelnie niepubliczne, aby funkcjonować i rozwijać się na konkurencyjnym rynku usług edukacyjnych, zaczęły budować własną pozycję rynkową. Wymagało to wykorzystania zasobów ludzkich umożliwiających wysoką jakość świadczonych usług edukacyjnych. Celem niniejszego artykułu jest zaprezentowanie profesjonalnej usługi edukacyjnej rozumianej jako produkt rynkowy wyższych szkół niepublicznych w Polsce. Aby tego dokonać, przeprowadzono badania bezpośrednie w postaci podjęcia próby oceny atrakcyjności kształcenia w wyższych szkołach niepublicznych w Polsce w latach 2021/2022. Badania te prowadzono wśród personelu badawczo-dydaktycznego i studentów uczelni niepublicznych. Chcąc rozpoznać opinie przedstawicieli szkół niepublicznych, wykorzystano metodę ankiety pocztowo- mailowej. Narzędziem pomiarowym był kwestionariusz ankietowy. W badaniu wzięło udział 78 przedstawicieli władz szkół. Następnie zastosowano ankietę bezpośrednią w celu rozpoznania opinii studentów wyższych szkół niepublicznych. W badaniu wzięło udział 535 studentów. Wyniki badań przeprowadzonych wśród przedstawicieli uczelni niepublicznych wskazują, że najważniejszym atutem przesądzającym o rynkowej atrakcyjności ich uczelni jest wykwalifikowany personel badawczo-dydaktyczny. Podobnego zdania są studenci. Deklarują, że studiowanie w uczelniach niepublicznych cieszy się wśród aktualnie studiujących dużym zainteresowaniem. Czynnikiem decydującym o wyborze kształcenia w szkołach niepublicznych jest zdaniem ankietowanych studentów właśnie jakość usług edukacyjnych.
The dynamic development of the market of educational services of universities as a result of the establishment of non-public universities has become an interesting area of research in many scientific disciplines. The market nature of the educational activity of non-public higher education institutions meant that these schools began to operate as market entities. The reason for this is primarily the basic source of funding for these universities, which are payments from recipients of educational services. In order to function and develop on the competitive market of educational services, private universities began to build their own market position. This required the use of human resources enabling high quality of educational services provided. The purpose of this study is to present a professional educational service understood as a market product of non- -public higher education institutions in Poland. To do this, direct tests were carried out in the form of an attempt to assess the attractiveness of education in non-public higher education institutions in Poland in 2021/2022. The research was conducted among the research and teaching staff and students of non-public universities. In order to recognize the opinions of representatives of non-public schools, the post-e-mail survey method was used. The measurement tool was a questionnaire. 78 representatives of school authorities took part in the study. Then, a direct survey (distributed by hand) was used to identify the opinions of students of non-public schools. 535 students took part in the study. The results of research conducted among representatives of non-public universities indicate that the most important asset determining the market attractiveness of their universities is qualified research and teaching staff. Students are of a similar opinion. They declare that studying at private universities is very popular among currently studying students. According to the surveyed students, the decisive factor in choosing education in private schools is the quality of educational services.

Kryzys edukacji w pandemii COVID-19 jest w ostatnich dwóch latach tak często dyskutowanym medialnie tematem, że powoli staje się frazesem. Opinia publiczna skupia się na problemach adaptacyjnych uczniów i nauczycieli w zakresie psychologicznym, technicznym oraz organizacyjnym. Podobna tematyka dominuje w pracach naukowych. Zdecydowanie mniejsze jest zainteresowanie ekonomiczną analizą wpływu pandemii COVID-19 na branżę usług edukacyjnych. Przedmiotem artykułu są usługi edukacyjne w Polsce w dobie pandemii COVID-19. Opracowanie przedstawia wyniki badania branży usług edukacyjnych świadczonych w ramach obowiązkowego systemu kształcenia (formalnego), przeprowadzonego metodą pięciu sił konkurencyjnych M.E. Portera. Celem badania była odpowiedź na pytanie, jaka jest kondycja branży usług edukacyjnych w Polsce w dobie pandemii (w latach 2020, 2021) – czy przeżywa ona kryzys oraz jakie mogą być potencjalne konsekwencje tego kryzysu w przyszłości. W artykule dokonano analizy strukturalnej branży i diagnozy stanu rynku usług edukacyjnych w Polsce w zakresie kształcenia formalnego w czasie pandemii COVID-19 na podstawie licznych raportów, w szczególności NIK, Centrum Edukacji Cyfrowej i grupy naukowców Uniwersytetu Warszawskiego. Analiza wykazała zarówno kryzys jakości usług edukacyjnych świadczonych przez państwowy system oświaty, jak i wskazała obszary wcześniejszych zaniedbań w szkolnictwie publicznym w zakresie rozwoju kompetencji cyfrowych nauczycieli, wyposażenia szkół oraz rosnącego znaczenia i konkurencyjności szkolnictwa niepublicznego w Polsce, które w najbliższym czasie, wskutek pandemii, może przełamać strukturalną dominację szkolnictwa publicznego.
The education crisis in the COVID-19 pandemic has been such a much‑discussed media topic in the last two years that it is slowly becoming a platitude. The public opinion focuses on the adaptation, i.e. psychological, technical and organisational problems of students and teachers. Similar topics dominate in academic papers. There is far less interest in an economic analysis of the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the sector of educational services. The paper is devoted to educational services in Poland during the COVID-19 pandemic. The study presents a survey of the educational services sector provided within the compulsory (formal) education system conducted using the 5 Forces method By M.E. Porter. The study aims to answer the question about the condition of the educational services sector in Poland in the era of the pandemic (in 2020, 2021), about its potential crisis and potential present and future consequences for educational services. The paper presents a structural analysis of the sector and a diagnosis of the state of the market of educational services in Poland in the field of formal education during the COVID-19 pandemic, based on many reports, in particular those of the Supreme Chamber of Audit, the Centre for Digital Education and a group of researchers at the University of Warsaw. The analysis revealed a crisis in the quality of educational services provided by the state educational system, areas of previous neglect in public education in terms of the development of digital competencies of teachers and school equipment and the growing importance and competitiveness of non‑public education in Poland, which shortly, thanks to the pandemic, may break the structural domination of public education.

Przyjęcie modelowego ujęcia zarządzania jakością usług edukacyjnych opartego na koncepcji łańcucha wartości wywołuje potrzebę zmiany podejścia do oceny jakości usług edukacyjnych. Miernikiem jakości usługi edukacyjnej staje się wartość dodana, dostarczana interesariuszom uczelni. Zdolność do tworzenia wartości jest zdeterminowana skutecznością i efektywnością procesów realizowanych w szkole wyższej. Celem artykułu jest prezentacja modelu zarządzania jakością usług edukacyjnych oraz koncepcji oceny jakości usług edukacyjnych opartej na pomiarze wartości dodanej w aspekcie dydaktycznym, marketingowym, ekonomicznym oraz organizacyjnym. Praktyczną ilustracją zaprezentowanej koncepcji są wyniki badań prowadzonych w Akademii Wychowania Fizycznego im. Jerzego Kukuczki w Katowicach. W podsumowaniu podjętych w artykule rozważań można sformułować wniosek, iż zaproponowana koncepcja wieloaspektowej oceny jakości usług edukacyjnych może być z powodzeniem stosowana w pomiarze, ocenie oraz doskonaleniu procesów w szkole. Koncepcja oceny obejmującej aspekt dydaktyczny, organizacyjny, marketingowy i ekonomiczny pozwala na dynamiczne i wieloczynnikowe rozumienie jakości usług edukacyjnych jako efektu procesów realizowanych w szkole wyższej.
The adoption of a model interpretation of management of the quality of educational services based on the concept of Chain value raises the need for a change of approach to the assessment of the quality of educational services. The measure of the quality of educational services becomes a value added supplied to the university stakeholders. The ability to create value is determined by the effectiveness and efficiency of processes undertaken in the university. The purpose of the article is to present the model of management of the quality of educational services, and the concept of evaluation of the quality of educational services based on measuring the value added in terms of didactic, marketing, economics and organization. A practical illustration of the presented concept are the results of research carried out at the Academy of Physical Education under the name of Jerzy Kukuczka in Katowice. In the summary of the undertaken considerations it can be concluded that the proposed concept of the multi-aspect evaluation of the quality of educational services can be successfully used in the measurement, evaluation and improvement of university processes. The concept of evaluation covering the didactic, organization, marketing and economics  aspects allows for a dynamie and multi-factor understanding of the quality of educational services as the effect of process carried out in universities.

Hospice volunteering is s special kind of voluntary service. According to research, an average age of hospice volunteers is higher that an average age of volunteers in other types of voluntary services (Przewłocka, 2011; Seredyńska, 2018). However, it does not mean that there are no young persons in hospices, especially when one remembers that contact with the sick and dying allows people to realize the most important things in life and to gain a more realistic view of their limitations. So, it can be said that the environment of hospice voluntary service offers valuable upbringing and educational opportunities. The paper is based on the analysis of subject literature and address several upbringing and educational aspects connected with the environment of hospice voluntary service. These aspects include the analysis of hospice volunteering which educates for accepting: the central position of God in human life, death as an integral part of life, weaknesses and limitations in the maturing process, and the attitude of ‘imagination of mercy’ towards the sick and dying. Other educational and upbringing environments do not confront a person with these aspects of life to such an extent.

Sponsorship in this paper is the formal relationship between an authorized Catholic organization and a recognized apostolic undertaking to promote and sustain Christ’s ministry to people in need. Sponsorship is not a static reality. Radical changes which have occurred in charitable works, largely due to the decline in religious vocations and the aging of members of institutes, led sponsoring leaders to seek for and find new approaches to sponsorship whereby their ministry could continue without compromising their identity. The purpose of this article is to draw attention to certain perspectives of the evolving understanding of sponsorship which is regularly in the process of being transformed and reshaped. It faces many challenges regarding the continuing Catholic identity of the sponsored works and the recognition of numerous new opportunities for future forms of sponsorship. This study explores certain canonical and practical perspectives for the development of the sponsorship of various forms of Catholic ministerial organizations, with particular reference to health care.

The purpose of the present research was to examine the effect of peer review on educational research efficacy of pre-service teachers. A quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group was adopted, over a period of 12 weeks using peer review process in the experimental group and lecture-based teaching in the control group. The participants of the research consisted of pre-service teachers (n = 118), enrolled in the faculty of education of a middle scale public university in the Central Anatolia Region of Turkey. In collection of the data, “Self-Efficacy for Research Scale of Teachers” (SCRT), was used to examine pre-service teachers’ efficacy in educational research. According to the results, it was revealed that the experimental group in which the peer review process was conducted outperformed in the efficacy in educational research, compared to the control group. This result showed that peer review was more effective in the improvement of efficacy of pre-service teachers in educational research than the lecture-based teaching.

Dla właściwego funkcjonowania życia społecznego i pokojowego współżycia różnych grup, osób, społeczności i państwa nieodzowne jest podjęcie zadania wychowania do gotowości wzajemnej solidarności. Żadne społeczeństwo, bez nawet najmniejszej gotowości do wzajemnej solidarności nie jest zdolne do właściwego funkcjonowania, a nawet do życia. Wspólne cele danego narodu, dziedzictwo kultury i tradycji budują świadomość solidarności w ramach konkretnego społeczeństwa czy narodu. A zatem każda świadomość solidarności uwarunkowana funkcjonalnie powinna być zakorzeniona i ostatecznie umotywowana uniwersalną solidarnością wszystkich ludzi. W swym nauczaniu papież Jan Paweł II pogłębiał motywacje solidarności jako cnoty ludzkiej i chrześcijańskiej, akcentując społeczny wymiar solidarności. Zwracał uwagę na teologiczne rozumienie solidarności, rozwijając problematykę solidarności w głębokim tle kwestii społecznej o wymiarze globalnym. Należy wychowywać młodzież do uczestnictwa w życiu społecznym i kulturalnym w duchu solidarności. Uświadamiać, że dobro narodu zależy od ich postawy moralnej, od woli przetrwania, od wierności wartościom, które w ciągu wieków kształtowały historię i kulturę wspólnoty. Solidarność umotywowana jest naturalną otwartością człowieka, jako istoty społecznej, na drugą osobę, z którą współdziałać należy w dążeniu do realizacji dobra wspólnego. Niezbędna jest stała gotowość do przyjmowania i wypełniania tych zadań, które są konsekwencją uczestnictwa jednostki w życiu społecznym.
For the proper functioning of society and the peaceful coexistence of different groups of people, communities and the state, it is essential to educate young people towards the readiness for mutual solidarity. In the absence of willingness to show mutual solidarity, a society can neither function properly nor live, however small this willingness may be. The common objectives of a nation, cultural heritage and tradition build awareness of solidarity within the particular society or nation. Therefore, the functionally conditioned consciousness of solidarity should be rooted and ultimately motivated by the universal solidarity of all men. In his teaching, John Paul II deepened the motivation for solidarity as a human and Christian virtue, emphasising its social dimension. The pope drew attention to the theological understanding of solidarity, developing the theme of solidarity on the deep background of social issue and its global dimension. Young people should be educated to participate in social and cultural life in the spirit of solidarity. They should be led to realization that the welfare of the nation depends on their moral attitude, the will to survive, the fidelity to values which have shaped the history and culture of the community over the centuries. Solidarity is motivated by a natural openness of human beings to other persons with whom there is a need to cooperate in pursuit of the common good. Hence, there is a need for constant readiness to accept and complete the tasks which result from the participation of the individual in social life.
