- The article presents the use of nature in supporting the processes of teaching and developing children and youths. The surrounding natural environment, the outdoors, can be compared to a laboratory which provides an opportunity to use direct experiences, leading to a clearer interpretation of the natural environment. The purpose of the article was to determine the level of accessibility and use of valuable nature areas in Poznan county for educational purposes. In the article, the author presents the characteristics of the activitiescarried out by various organizations, i.e. the Konstantynowo Forestry Inspectorate and education centers in the Wielkopolski National Park. The discussion draws attention to the difficulties faced, such as the insufficient number of teaching staff in the centers, the lack of available dates or inadequate information provided to the age groups which often arise in trying to achieve the intended tasks. The goal set was implemented through the analysis of interviews with teachers and employees of these institutions (case study).
