One can broadly divide research on higher education settings into three strands investigating 1) the production of specialized scientific knowledge, 2) the dynamics of institutional power (academic decision-making and governance), 3) teaching and learning. In all three areas the notion of ‘discourse’ has been salient in the last decades. However, the term is often understood differently by researchers from different fields, and the respective disciplines haven’t always been receptive one to another. In the paper we present an overview of discursive approaches to the study of higher education in 1) social theory, poststructuralism in particular, and 2) linguistics. We explain the outlook on discourse which is prevalent in these areas and present the most significant studies on higher education contexts conducted within them. We argue that while social theory often lacks analytical detail and focus on empirical objects, linguistics on the other hand does not account for the way practices produce and reproduce social order. Therefore, a study of academic discourse drawing on both strands would enable putting forward a robust theory and a precise methodology. In the last section of the paper we present an outline of such a field informed by both poststructuralism and pragmatics – Social Studies of Higher Education.

Opis:
Technological developments in the 4.0 revolution affect aspects of life, including the educational aspect. Currently, the learning components are technology-based, such as podcasts as learning media. So that it becomes an opportunity for students to understand digital literacy through podcasts as a learning media in the classroom with social studies subjects. This study aims to describe the creation of podcast-based social studies learning media model to improve students’ digital literacy. The research uses Research and Development with qualitative and quantitative approaches, data collection techniques using observation, interviews, document studies, focus group discussions, and data analysis techniques using regression correlation. The research subjects are students at Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, Bandung, Indonesia. The results from these studies showed that using digital-based learning media, namely podcasts in social studies subjects, had a good impact and a significant effect on students’ digital literacy skills. The application of podcast-based learning media products will work well if they are supported by several funding elements, namely: 1) the involved issues are contemporary; 2) the use of the latest design; 3) in the design of materials, there is a collaboration between lecturers and students.

Tekst stanowi wieloaspektowe ujęcie poznawcze i analityczne problematyki studiów podyplomowych. Artykuł zawiera dane empiryczne pozyskane drogą ankiety przeprowadzonej wśród studentów korzystających z tej formy dokształcenia w Krakowie. Na podstawie obserwacji tej rzeczywistości edukacyjnej i opinii studiujących powstał realistyczny obraz tego zagadnienia. Studia podyplomowe stały się obecnie coraz powszechniejszą formą uzupełniania i modyfikowania wykształcenia ogólnego i zawodowego. Ma to swoje uwarunkowania społeczne, zawodowe, edukacyjne, a także związane z aspiracjami edukacyjnymi, specjalizacją zawodową, dążeniem do zmiany miejsca pracy i zamieszkania. Prezentowany tekst ukazuje ważniejsze czynniki determinujące rozwój studiów podyplomowych i innych form dokształcania zawodowego. Daje się wyróżnić dominujące przesłanki skłaniające do samokształcenia i samorozwoju młodych ludzi. Są to m.in.: motywacje osobiste, aspiracje zawodowe i potrzeba podniesienia prestiżu we własnym środowisku; możliwość podejmowania dalszej edukacji w trybie studiów podyplomowych dla osób pracujących; rosnące wymagania w dziedzinie kwalifikacji zawodowych; dostępność i różnorodność form organizacji studiów, dogodne miejsce i czas procesu kształcenia; konkurencja społeczna inspirująca do zmiany i samorozwoju uczestników kształcenia się; ranga i znaczenie studiów podyplomowych; wzrost wartości wykształcenia.
The article is a multiperspective attempt to show cognitive and analytic problematics of postgraduate studies. It contains empirical data collected with questionnaire responded by students of postgraduate studies in Kraków. Basing on the observation of this educational reality as well as on opinion of students, the author obtained realistic view of this topic. Postgraduate studies become more common way of completing and modifying general and vocational education. This form of educational development has its social, vocational and educational conditions. It is also connected with educationl aspiration, specialisation and pursuance of profession or residence place. The text presents the most important aspects which determine development of postgraduate studies and other forms of vocational education. The author distinguishes dominant factors inspiring young people to self- educatin and development: personal motivation; professional aspiration; the need of increasing the prestige in environment; the chance of further education for working people; increasing requirements of professional qualifications; accessibility and diversity of studies organization; convenient place and time of education proces; social competition inspiring to salf- education; significance of postgraduate studies; increase of value of education.

Głównym celem artykułu jest prezentacja aplikacji metody szybkiego przeglądu w ocenie transparentności raportów z badań empirycznych. W dobie rosnącej liczby publikacji referujących wyniki badań nad dzieckiem i dzieciństwem oraz towarzyszącej temu przyrostowi potrzebie dysponowania środkami selekcji źródeł informacji metoda szybkiego przeglądu wydaje się interesującą propozycją wstępnego określania wiarygodności raportów badawczych. W pierwszej części artykułu przedstawiona została idea metody szybkiego przeglądu oraz zagadnienie transparentności raportów badawczych. Druga część poświęcona została ilustracji zastosowania tej metody na przykładzie autorskich badań i z użyciem autorskiego instrumentu. Analiza zgromadzonych danych dostarczyła rezultatów pozwalających określić poziom transparentności raportów oraz scharakteryzować jakość wykorzystywanych rozwiązań. Okazało się między innymi, że transparentność raportów z badań podlega zróżnicowaniu ze względu na strategię badań oraz że poziom zaawansowania zastosowanych rozwiązań analitycznych pozostaje z nią w związku. Metoda szybkiego przeglądu oraz zaprezentowane narzędzie znajdują szczególne zastosowanie, gdy mimo presji czasu oraz niedostatecznych kompetencji metodologicznych pojawia się potrzeba oceny wiarygodności publikowanych wyników badań.
The main aim of the article is to present the application of the Rapid Review Method in assessing the transparency of reports on empirical research. This rapid review method seems to be an interesting proposition for the preliminary assessment of the credibility of research reports. This is especially true when one considers the fact that the number of publications regarding childhood studies is increasing and that, with this increase, there is a need for the selection of information sources. The first part of the article presents the idea of a Rapid Review Method and the issue of the transparency of research reports. The second part is devoted to the illustration of the use of this method by means of the example of original research and the use of an original instrument. Analysis of the collected data provides results allowing the determination of the level of transparency of reports and to characterize the quality of the solutions used. The results revealed that the transparency of research reports is subject to differentiation due to the research strategy, as well as the fact that this transparency is correlated with the level of advancement of the applied analytical solutions. The Rapid Review Method and the presented tool find particular applications when, despite time pressure and insufficient methodological skills, it is necessary to assess the credibility of published research results.

The considerations addressed in the present paper are aimed to demonstrate the relationship between culture and creativity as a constitutive relation of fundamental importance and, at the same time, as a fundamental principle of education studies and contemporary culture studies in particular. especially nowadays, the educational perspective in artistic culture considerations seems to gain relevance as it incorporates key assumptions, value system issues, ethical choices, motivations in life in the world ruled by material possessions. The artistic culture is defined as the totality of cultural values created, strengthened or disseminated by the man by means of the arts understood as a field of the culture, symbolic activity, form of expression, human communication, science registration, a kind of cognition and a tool of education. The creativity, on the other hand, is characterized as the spirit of the culture, its foundations and horizon, its construction material, its content and idea, in other words, the original culture and its social function beyond creativity does not exist, but at the same time, the creativity itself is enriched owing to the enhancement of its cultural development. The interaction of the culture and creativity constitutes an important aspect of the contemporary cultural life and an educational challenge to enhance the culture through development of creativity and most importantly to boost creativity through cultural development is considered as an enrichment activity. although the universal values documenting the creative achievements of the man throughout its time demonstrate the extent of the challenge, it needs to be emphasised that the greatest challenge lies in dealing with the clear signs of a crisis and ilemmas of the contemporary artistic culture.
Rozważania podjęte w ramach sformułowanego tematu koncentrują się, najogólniej biorąc, na ukazaniu relacji między kulturą i kreatywnością jako więzi konstytutywnej o znaczeniu fundamentalnym, a zarazem jako ważnego postulatu pedagogiki, zwłaszcza współczesnej pedagogiki kultury. Przyjęcie pedagogicznej perspektywy rozpatrywania kultury artystycznej wydaje się zwłaszcza dzisiaj sprawą niezwykłej wagi, bowiem skupiają się w niej zagadnienia najbardziej istotne, problemy systemu wartości, wyborów etycznych, motywacji ludzkich, w świecie materialistycznego myślenia i stylu życia. kultura artystyczna zdefiniowana została jako całokształt wartości kultury tworzonych, umacnianych bądź rozprzestrzenianych przez człowieka za pomocą szeroko rozumianej sztuki jako dziedziny kultury,  działalności symbolicznej, formy ekspresji, komunikacji międzyludzkiej, rejestracji naukowej, rodzaju poznania i narzędzia wychowania. z kolei kreatywność rozumiana jest tu jako duch kultury, jej podstawa i horyzont, tworzywo i fundament oraz treść i sens; innymi słowy nie istnieje oryginalna kultura i jej funkcja społeczna poza obszarem kreatywności, ale także sama kreatywność ulega wzbogaceniu dzięki wzmocnieniu jej kulturowego wymiaru rozwoju. Interakcja kultury i kreatywności jest ważnym problemem współczesnego życia kulturalnego, a jednocześnie konkretnym wyzwaniem pedagogicznym do podniesienia poziomu kultury przez rozwój kreatywności, a przede wszystkim do rozwoju kreatywności przez podniesienie kultury jako aktywności wzbogacającej. Wprawdzie uniwersalne wartości humanistyczne dokumentujące kreatywne dokonania człowieka w ciągu jego dziejów wyrażają najpełniej wyzwanie, by je sobie przyswoić i twórczo pomnożyć, ale prawdziwie palące jest wyzwanie związane z wyraźnymi znamionami kryzysu i dylematami współczesnej kultury artystycznej.

In the first decade of the Polish People’s Republic the authorities undertook a number of actions that were aimed at changing the previous nature of the judiciary, which was planned to be transformed into one of the tools for exercising power. The transformation process covered not only the judges of that time who performed their duties as members of the administration of justice of the Polish People’s Republic. The authorities also undertook actions aimed at shaping future judges according to new political-ideological requirements. Changes planned in the process of educating future lawyers were supposed to serve this purpose. The reform of academic law studies developed by new authorities was supposed to break with the traditional way of educating lawyers. Rejection of subjects regarded as useless, with historical-legal studies at the top of the list, was to be accom- panied by the introduction of political-ideological subjects. The reform of law studies was also supposed to cover the very organisation of course studies. At the same time, the authorities created the so-called law high schools where, among others, future judges were supposed to be educated. Substantial curriculum was limi- ted as much as possible in favour of the political-ideological training of judges of the people’s administration of justice.

The article analyzes the problem of the absence of religious studies in Polish school education. The first part explains the status of religious studies as a discipline. In the main part, the school core curriculum in the primary school was analyzed with respect to the humanities. Then, reference was made to the presence of religion in school as catechesis. The final part presents earlier attempts to introduce religious studies to schools as well as their own ideas on this issue.

The importance of corporate social responsibility (CSR) in nowadays business reality is constantly growing thanks to many factors, including the important promotional effort at all possible authorities levels and increasing educational effort of universities and in particular of business schools. Since there is no commonly accepted guideline/curriculum/content of social responsibility (SR) education, business schools at higher education institutions (HEIs) start to develop their own approaches on SR education.This paper aims to present the general background of CSR education with particular emphasis on its enhancements existing in EU and other countries or continents. Its ambition is also to offer a picture of CSR related educational activities launched by Polish HEIs and to present its evaluation by students. The first goal will be accomplished with the literature study and the review of initiatives publicly disclosed by the authorities, NGOs and finally by HEIs themselves. The second ambition will be completed with the outcomes of the survey conducted by the author in Gdańsk University of Technology (GUT), Faculty of Management and Economics (FME). The conclusions of this work allow to propose recommendations to be implemented in the SR education in the future.
