The main goal of education at a maritime university is to provide students with knowledge and practical skills necessary for future work on a ship. To receive the diploma of merchant navy officer, students are required to complete a 12-month maritime internship. During the internship, as well as during the entire course of studies, students' expectations regarding their future professional work are developed, related to, among others, working and living conditions on a ship, employment conditions and cooperation with the shipowner. These expectations determine the students’ subsequent choices towards a given shipowner as a potential employer, as well as their decisions about further professional development in this field. From the point of view of operational management, it is therefore important for the shipowner to know the requirements that must be met in order to have a motivated and competent staff. This article aims to classify the requirements for students relative to their future work on a ship based on assessing the impact of the requirement fulfilment level against the level of their satisfaction. The results obtained made it possible to indicate those requirements regarding working conditions, the fulfilment of which should be treated by shipowners as a priority, because they determine the students’ satisfaction to the highest degree.

The last decade has seen rapid growth in the number of students with special educational needs (SEN). The aim of inclusive education is to provide all students with equal public education. To facilitate the learning process for students with SEN changes and modifications to requirements are implemented by language teachers. At the same time, these students take the final exam at the end of year eight of their primary education, where the main and almost only adjustment is extended time to write the exam. This article has two main aims. The first is to compare the legal requirements for educational adaptations in the Polish education system. The second is to show, on the basis of a case study, that lack of coherence between the different regulations affects the results achieved by the students in their final exams.

Opis:
Requirements in the modern world are not popular – also on the basis of teaching. However, as Pope John Paul II often emphasized, one should demand from oneself even when others will not demand. These words should include catechists in their work. They are supposed to demand from students, remembering to be demanding towards themselves. Requirements cannot be detached from love. Only a kind teacher who is kind to the student carefully guides the development of the pupil. The issue of teaching requirements – including religious teaching – is important today because of the language of record of purposes. It focuses on knowledge and skills requirements. Catechists additionally in the latest program assumptions have indications regarding attitudes shaped in the catechetical process. Both in the parish and at school, the demanding catechist – from himself and from others – is a credible witness to the truths he proclaims.

Opis:
For the last decade or so we have observed a visible increase in the interest of educational and scientific circles in Poland in actions to include children and teenagers with special educational needs in education in mainstream schools. Such children and teenagers require special support in the learning and teaching of foreign languages, well-considered selection of teaching methods and forms, and organisation of lessons, which takes account of the individual characteristics of the learners. Appropriate evaluation of their achievements is very important in working with such persons. The article presents assumptions relating to and possibilities of individualised evaluation of students with special educational needs from the perspective of inclusive foreign language education.

Celem artykułu jest ukazanie praw i obowiązków nauczycieli różnych typów szkół funkcjonujących w II Rzeczypospolitej. Pragmatyka nauczycielska została zapisana w dokumentach normatywnych – ustawach i rozporządzeniach ministerialnych z okresu dwudziestolecia międzywojennego. W celu zgromadzenia informacji posłużono się metodą historyczno-krytycznej analizy źródeł i pomocniczo metodą analizy zawartości treści czasopism pedagogicznych skierowanych do nauczycieli. Uzyskany materiał poddano analizie jakościowej. Aby nauczyciele odpowiednio wypełniali swoje obowiązki, powinni być właściwie do nich przygotowani, ale też mieć poczucie stabilizacji w zawodzie. Po odzyskaniu niepodległości sytuacja społeczno-gospodarcza państwa była trudna. W celu jej poprawy należało ujednolicić system szkolnictwa i podnieść poziom nauczania we wszystkich typach szkół. Władze oświatowe stanęły więc przed zadaniem doboru odpowiednio przygotowanych nauczycieli i określenia stawianych im wymagań. W dwudziestoleciu międzywojennym wymagania te ulegały pewnym zmianom. Przeanalizowano je w artykule.
The aim of this article is to show rights and duties of teacher of different types of schools, that were functioning in The Second Republic of Poland. The teacher pragmatics wa written down in normative acts – legal acts and ministerial regulations in the interwar period. To collect information it was used a method of historical-critical analysis of sources and auxiliary – analysis of the press content targeted at teachers. The attained material was submitted to qualitative analysis. Teachers to fulfill their duties properly, should be prepared to them adequately and should have sense of professional stabilization. After regaining independence the social-economic situation of the state was difficult. In order to improve it the unification of the school system and rising the level of teaching was necessary at all types of schools. The education authorities came before task to choose adequately prepared teachers and specify requirements for them. In the interwar period these requirements ware being changed to some extent. They got analyzed in this article.

The author of the article presupposes that the research of educational needs of Ukraine’s population will allow to characterize the educational situation in the country, to substantiate the mechanisms of separate subsystems of modern adult education and identify some of the problems that hinder the development of this educational branch. The article represents the results of investigating educational needs in one of Ukraine’s regions, the purpose of which was to identify the requirement level of educational needs, to assess the quality of the provided educational services, to distinguish the motives of their use and the perspectives of their dissemination in the region.
Autorka wyraża opinię, że badanie potrzeb edukacyjnych obywateli Ukrainy pozwoli scharakteryzować sytuację edukacyjną w kraju, uzasadnić mechanizmy regulacji poszczególnych podsystemów nowoczesnej edukacji dorosłych oraz wskazać na konkretne problemy, które hamują rozwój tego sektora edukacyjnego. Przedstawiono wyniki badań nad potrzebami edukacyjnymi jednego z regionów Ukrainy, których celem było określenie poziomu zapotrzebowania na potrzeby edukacyjne; ocena jakości usług edukacyjnych; identyfikacja motywów ich konsumpcji oraz perspektywy rozprzestrzeniania się w regionie.

Główną ideą artykułu była ewaluacja przygotowania pedagogów w świetle aktualnych źródeł o charakterze naukowym. Respondentami w poddanych analizie badaniach byli studenci rożnych specjalności kierunku pedagogika. Artykuł charakteryzuje grupę zawodową pedagogów szkolnych w oparciu o aktualne akty prawne. Ponadto, zawiera informację o pożądanych kierunkach badawczych w przyszłości.

Edukacja zawodowa jest integralną, a zarazem autonomiczną częścią systemu społeczno-gospodarczego. W związku z tym oczekiwania i potrzeby rynku pracy powinny być ważnym wyznacznikiem dla tej edukacji. Podstawowym zadaniem edukacji zawodowej jest przygotowanie do zatrudnienia na współczesnym, często niestabilnym, „kapryśnym”, ale także zmieniającym się, nieprzewidywalnym rynku pracy. Rację ma A. Giddens, kiedy pisze, że „przyszłość przeważającej większości ludzi zależeć będzie bezpośrednio od ich powodzenia w życiu zawodowym”. A powodzenie to z kolei zależy od kwalifikacji i kompetencji przez nich posiadanych. Drogą do nich wiodącą jest właśnie edukacja zawodowa. Dlatego mówić należy o edukacji zorientowanej na rynek pracy.
Vocational education is both an integral and autonomic part of the socio-economic system. Thus, the expectations and requirements of the labour market ought to be an important indicator for this kind of education. The basic task of vocational education is to prepare for the employment in the modern, often unstable and “fickle” but also changeable and unpredictable labour market. As it is true what A. Giddens writes, that the future of the majority of people will directly depend on their being successful in their professional lives. Their success, in turn, depends on the qualifications and competences they present. Vocational education is the way leading to them. This is why one should consider its orientation towards the labour market.

While reviewing the modern theoretical framework of Bulgarian preschool education and some significant reforms in preschool education in Slovakia, the current paper presents the contemporary situation of preschool education in Bulgaria and Slovakia and considers some converging points between them, but some differences as well. Since having a university education for future kindergarten teachers is influencing their future pedagogical interaction with children, the university level preparation of future kindergarten teachers is also detailed.

Cel: Celem artykułu jest zaprezentowanie funkcjonującego już programu edukacyjnego dla przedstawicieli Państwowej Straży Pożarnej (PSP) oraz Ochotniczej Straży Pożarnej (OSP) pod nazwą System wsparcia odbiorów i testowania wyrobów oraz rozwiązań stosowanych w ochronie przeciwpożarowej (dalej: system wsparcia odbiorów i testowania wyrobów) w kontekście jego przydatności i spełnienia wyznaczonego celu. Program ten jest administrowany przez Centrum Naukowo-Badawcze Ochrony Przeciwpożarowej im. Józefa Tuliszkowskiego Państwowy Instytut Badawczy (CNBOP-PIB). W artykule opisano zagadnienia poruszane na zorganizowanych dotychczas szkoleniach. Ponadto szczegółowo przeanalizowano wyniki ankiet przeprowadzonych wśród uczestników kolejnych edycji szkoleń oraz zaprezentowano propozycje zmian do wymagań techniczno-użytkowych dla pojazdów pożarniczych. Wprowadzenie: W zakresie stosowania wyrobów służących zapewnieniu bezpieczeństwa publicznego zgłaszane są określone potrzeby, formułowane zarówno przez jednostki ochrony przeciwpożarowej (JOP), jak i przez producentów oraz dostawców tych wyrobów. Właściwa trwałość, ergonomia, niezawodność i wysoka jakość wyrobów, jak również umiejętność oceny ich zgodności z wydanymi dokumentami dopuszczającymi mają podstawowe znaczenie dla zapewnienia bezpieczeństwa i prowadzenia działań ratowniczo-gaśniczych. Odpowiedzią na potrzeby jest opracowany, wdrożony i doskonalony system wsparcia odbiorów i testowania wyrobów, w ramach którego możliwa jest bezpośrednia wymiana informacji będących przyczynkiem do opracowania propozycji zmian do obowiązujących wymagań techniczno-użytkowych dla pojazdów pożarniczych. Metodologia: W pracy zaprezentowano elementy programu edukacyjnego. Na podstawie harmonogramów szkoleń omówiono zagadnienia poruszane podczas kolejnych ich edycji oraz przeanalizowano wyniki ankiet wypełnionych przez uczestników szkoleń. Wzięto przy tym pod uwagę doświadczenia osób szkolonych i ich opinie na temat pojazdów wykorzystywanych przez PSP i OSP podczas akcji ratowniczych. Pomimo zastosowania metody umożliwiającej ilościowe określenie stawianego celu badań uczestnicy badań wyrazili swoje sugestie i opinie również w formie opisowej, która pozwalała na sformułowanie wniosków i zaproponowanie kierunków zmian w omawianym zakresie. Wnioski: – System wsparcia odbiorów i testowania wyrobów jest rozwiązaniem, które – dzięki szkoleniom w formie stacjonarnej oraz kształceniu na odległość – oferuje kompleksowe podejście do potrzeb zgłaszanych przez przedstawicieli JOP zajmujących się zakupem sprzętu ratowniczo-gaśniczego, logistyką i kwatermistrzostwem. – System wsparcia odbiorów i testowania wyrobów umożliwia wymianę doświadczeń pomiędzy osobami prowadzącymi proces dopuszczenia a użytkownikiem końcowym, co owocuje zmianą wymagań dotyczących sprzętu wykorzystywanego przez JOP, a w konsekwencji – poprawą bezpieczeństwa publicznego. – Wymagania techniczno-użytkowe, w zależności od zakresu ich stosowania, powinno się uszczegółowić, uzupełnić bądź zmienić.
Aim: The purpose of this article is to present an already operative educational programme designed for State Fire Services’ (PSP) and Volunteer Fire Services’ (OSP) firefighters, namely „System wsparcia odbiorów i testowania wyrobów i rozwiązań stosowanych w ochronie przeciwpożarowej” (“A support system for quality acceptance and testing of products and solutions applied in fire protection”), in its usefulness and functionality context. The programme is administered by the Józef Tuliszkowski Research Centre for Fire Protection – National Research Institute (CNBOP-PIB). The courses run so far are described and survey results presented. Furthermore, the results of surveys conducted among participants in these courses are analysed in detail and changes are proposed to firefighting pumps, firefighting fixtures, and technical and user requirements for fittings and hydrants on firefighting vehicles. Introduction: The State Fire Service, and producers and suppliers, are continually defining their needs in the field of products used to ensure public safety and the protection of health and life and property. The durability, ergonomics, reliability and high quality of these products, and also properly conducted conformity-assessment processes, are crucial for fire safety and for the effectiveness of fire and rescue operations. “Support system” addresses all these needs. This programme can be used to exchange information and experience, thus resulting in amended mandatory requirements. Due to the use of this type of study, it was possible to determine the accuracy, effectiveness and scientific value of the presented material. Despite the use of a method to quantify the objectives of the study, participants also expressed their opinions and suggestions in a narrative form, which makes it possible to draw conclusions and set directions of change in the field in question. Methods: The authors presented items in the educational programme managed by the Research Centre for Fire Protection – National Research Institute (CNBOP-PIB). The training programmes were discussed. Survey results, firefighters’ experiences and opinions in the field of fire-fighting vehicles were analysed. The factors taken into consideration included the experiences of the trainees and their opinions on the vehicles used by the State Fire Service and the Volunteer Fire Service during rescue operations. Due to the use of this type of study, it was possible to determine the accuracy, effectiveness and scientific value of the presented material. Despite the use of a method to quantify the objectives of the study, participants also expressed their opinions and suggestions in a narrative form, which makes it possible to draw conclusions and set directions of change in the field in question. Conclusions: – The product commissioning and testing system is a solution which, thanks to stationary and remote training, affords a comprehensive approach to the needs reported by representatives of the Volunteer Fire Service Units dealing with the procurement of rescue and extinguishing equipment, logistics and supplies. – The system can be used to exchange experiences between certification specialists and end-users, thus resulting in changes to the requirements related to the equipment used by the Volunteer Fire Service and, consequently, improved public safety. – Depending on the scope of their use, the technical/functional requirements should be specified with more detail, or amended.

Opis:
The paper presents implementation process of basic principle simulators of a nuclear reactor processes. Simulators are based on point-models of processes: kinetics of neutrons, heat generation and exchange, poisoning and burning-up nuclear fuel. Reference simulator was developed in MATLAB/Simulink without taking into account real-time operation. Second simulator was built using the toolbox xPC with hard real-time requirements. Functional decomposition of a nuclear reactor was performed and processes with different time scales were isolated. Simulation of each separated process in Raspberry PI computer with coordination mechanism among them led to a distributed soft real-time simulator. Idea of web-based simulator is also presented. The engine of the web-based simulator can be implemented on the server while the presentation of the state of the simulator and the prescription of parameters can be performed using a web browser. This allows simultaneous access to the simulator using different devices, including mobile as tablets, laptops and mobile phones. Compliance tests of simulators with reference simulator were conducted and the results proved the correctness of implementation. A review of the properties and potential applications of the various versions of developed simulators is presented.
W artykule przedstawiono możliwości i proces budowy symulatorów podstawowych zasad działania procesów reaktora jądrowego. Proces budowy i badania oparte są na modelach punktowych: kinetyki neutronów, procesów generacji i wymiany ciepła oraz procesów zatruwania i wypalania paliwa. Badano możliwości realizacji symulatorów, wykorzystując różne środowiska programowe i platformy sprzętowe. Referencyjny symulator został opracowany w środowisku MATLAB/Simulink bez uwzględnienia wymagań pracy w czasie rzeczywistym. Na jego podstawie zbudowano w środowisku xPC drugi symulator procesów reaktora, pracujący w czasie rzeczywistym przy spełnieniu twardych wymagań czasowych. Następnie dokonano dekompozycji funkcjonalnej reaktora jądrowego i wydzielono procesy o różnych skalach czasowych, a ich symulacje zostały wraz z mechanizmem synchronizacji zaimplementowane w kilku jednostkach Raspberry PI, uzyskując rozproszoną wersję symulatora. Przeprowadzono weryfikację poprawności działania symulatorów oraz opracowano interfejsy użytkownika i instrukcje obsługi. W artykule jest również rozpatrywany sieciowy symulator obsługiwany z poziomu przeglądarki internetowej. Dokonano porównania funkcjonalności, ograniczeń i potencjalnych zastosowań poszczególnych symulatorów.

For years ongoing discussion whether education should be more academic or professional, whether and to what extent higher education is designed to meet the labor market and social needs, how to bring universities closer to the labor market and thus, to potential employers, and finally how to influence schools (and candidates) to educate in the fields and professions with high demand in the labor market. Currently observed problems are evidence of the lack of a holistic view of the labor market and education. The aim of the study was to confront last years students' notions of the labor market and its requirements with the reality found by graduates. The implementation of the study was divided into 3 stages. The first phase was completed in 2010 on a sample of 325 last years students, the second in 2012, resulting in collecting 240 declaration of consent and participation and the third in 2013, which ended with collecting 90 surveys form graduates. There is the social belief that the ability to find a satisfactory place at unsustainable labor market varies for different social categories. The situation is different for men and women, for urban and rural areas, for low and narrowly skilled workers. The consequence of such thinking was (and to some extent still is) the belief that having a higher education is an important asset in searching for a (better) job and in extreme perception is a guarantee of its acquisition. As a result of such belief is clearly perceptible lack of employment of university graduates or lack of satisfaction due to getting a job incompatible with the interests and qualifications. In this situation taking the perspective of students/graduates under consideration and collating of their professional and educational aspirations with regional labor market needs and responsiveness are important components.

Dokonano porównania funkcjonalności i możliwych zastosowań symulatorów.
The paper presents implementation process of basic principle simulators of a nuclear reactor processes. Simulators are based on point-models of processes: kinetics of neutrons, heat generation and exchange, poisoning and burning-up nuclear fuel. Reference simulator was developed in MATLAB / Simulink without taking into account real-time operation. Second simulator was built using the toolbox xPC with hard real-time requirements. Functional decomposition of a nuclear reactor was performed and processes with different time scales were isolated. Simulation of each separated process in Raspberry PI computer with coordination mechanism among them led to a distributed soft real-time simulator. Idea of web-based simulator is also presented. The engine of the web-based simulator can be implemented on the server while the presentation of the state of the simulator and the prescription of parameters can be performed using a web browser. This allows simultaneous access to the simulator using different devices, including mobile as tablets, laptops and mobile phones. Compliance tests of simulators with reference simulator were conducted and the results proved the correctness of implementation. A review of the properties and potential applications of the various versions of developed simulators is presented.

The following article discusses important questions of the individual needs of a child with autism. The authors have identified three fundamental planes which are among the most significant areas of reference in the work with a child for parents and specialists whose aim is to support a child’s development and to enhance his or her functioning in society. Communication, social inter-actions and education are, according to the authors, the basic areas and scopes defining the most important goals of the didactic, educational and therapeutic work. The text systematizes main assumptions behind actions oriented to treating a child with autism.
Artykuł porusza istotne kwestie dotyczące indywidualnych po-trzeb dziecka z autyzmem. Autorki wyłoniły trzy fundamentalne płaszczyzny, które w pracy z dzieckiem stanowią jedne z ważniejszych przestrzeni odnie-sienia dla rodziców oraz specjalistów, których zadaniem jest wspieranie roz-woju oraz usprawnianie funkcjonowanie dziecka w społeczeństwie. Komu-nikacja, interakcje społeczne i edukacja – to, zdaniem Autorek, podstawowe płaszczyzny i zakresy wyznaczające najistotniejsze cele pracy dydaktyczno--wychowawczej i terapeutycznej. Tekst systematyzuje główne założenia działań ukierunkowanych i czyniących ich podmiotem dziecko z autyzmem.

In the years 2011–2012 Polish universities were obligated to implement education requirements In compliance with the National Qualifications Framework. First the universities defined intended learning outcomes, a basis on which curricula were drawn up. The most difficult part of the implemented system is the appropriate identification of method(s) to assess whether the expected learning outcomes have been achieved. This article discusses an examination system commissioned by maritime administration for seafarer examining, and indicates possibilities of using the developed solutions in the process of learning outcomes assessment at technical universities and academies.
