W publikacji przedstawiono sposób nauczania studentów IV roku studiów dziennych specjalizacji technologiczno-higienicznej, na Wydziale Nauk o Żywieniu Człowieka i Konsumpcji, zagadnień związanych z opracowywaniem nowych produktów żywnościowych. Przedmiot ten realizowany jest od 3 lat i spotkał się z dużym zainteresowaniem ze strony studentów. Daje on bowiem możliwości praktycznego wykorzystania wiedzy zdobytej na studiach z zakresu żywienia, towaroznawstwa, technologii gastronomicznej, wyposażenia technologicznego i higieny produkcji żywności. Przede wszystkim pozwala studentom na dużą samodzielność i kreatywność.
The paper presents contemporary teaching method based on the new food product development /hat is a subject of lessons of 8th semester of stationary Human Nutrition and Consumer Sciences Faculty, technology - hygiene specialization. The subject has been realized for 3 years. Students are very interested i it due to possibility to practise adaptation of human nutrition knowledge, knowledge of commodity science, catering technology, catering office design, catering equipment and hygiene of food production, the subject allows students to improve self-dependence and creativity as well as support better integration with teachers.

The paper provides the framework programme for the courses on forest hydrology that have been conducted in the Department of Forestry in the Agricultural Academy in Cracow since 1994. The objective of the paper is to present this programme including indispensable explanations justifying the adopted solutions. Water relations in a forest are described from the "position of the interior of a forest" i.e. with reference to the circulation of water between atmosphere, stand and soil determining the dynamics of the water content in the soil. At the same time, the changes in water content in the soil are the result of the modelling effect of forest vegetation.

Opis:
Problem zanieczyszczenia wody w Polsce musi być jak najszybciej rozwiązany. Szczególnie duże korzyści może przynieść unowocześnienie gospodarowania zasobami wodnymi przez zarządzanie nimi w ramach zlewni, a nie województwa. Taka sytuacja ma miejsce na terenie dorzecza górnej Raby. Gminy z dorzecza oraz Miasto Kraków utworzyły związek, którego celem jest ochrona jakości wody w Rabie i Zbiorniku Dobczyckim. Jednak wśród społeczności lokalnej pojawił się opór w stosunku do budowy nowych oczyszczalni czy rozbudowy systemu kanalizacji, co hamuje inwestycje Związku. Dlatego edukacja i kształtowanie świadomości to ważne elementy gospodarki wodnej. We współpracy z Zespołem Edukacji Ekologicznej INOŚ UJ w latach 2003-2004 na terenie gmin dorzecza zrealizowano program informacyjno-edukacyjny oparty o innowacyjną technikę ,,doradców domowych". Podstawowym założeniem programu było odwiedzenie przez doradców jak największej liczby domostw, zbadanie ich nastawienia do planów rozbudowy infrastruktury wodno-kanalizacyjnej oraz promowanie zachowań prośrodowiskowych. W pierwszej fazie programu (2003) doradcy odwiedzili 1721 gospodarstw. Około 30% mieszkańców wyraziło sprzeciw wobec budowy nowych oczyszczalni ścieków w ich miejscu zamieszkania. W drugim etapie programu doradcy domowi wizytowali kolejne gospodarstwa wśród których było 24% tych, które wzięły udział w pierwszym etapie programu. Ewaluacja wykazała, że mieszkańcy, którzy spotkali się z doradcami po raz drugi, byli bardziej świadomi stanu czystości wód dorzecza, częściej wyrażali zgodę na odpłatne podłączenie gospodarstwa do kanalizacji oraz na budowę oczyszczalni ścieków w pobliżu miejsca ich zamieszkania. Aby efekty edukacji były długotrwałe, a działania podjęte na terenie dorzecza przyniosły oczekiwane zmiany w świadomości mieszkańców program powinien być kontynuowany i ewaluowany.
Water pollution in Poland needs an immediate solution. Water management seems to be most effective by using watershed rather province politics. Co-operation between various municipalities makes realization of various projects possible. Municipalities situated in the Upper Raba and the City of Krakow established the Association aimed at protection of water quality in the Raba River and Dobczyce Reservoir. First effects - building of sewage system and treatment plant - have been already seen. Further investigation is constantly halted by the local communities. Negative attitudes of inhabitants stem mainly from their lack of knowledge. That is why education and attitude shaping are important elements of water management. In the municipalities situated in the Raba River Watershed information and education program using home advisor technique was realized in two subsequent years (2003-2004). The main goal of the program was visiting local households by the home advisors in order to promote eco-friendly attitudes and behaviors. In the first phase of the program (2003), home advisors visited 1721 households. The first phase showed that ca. 30% of the population was against the water treatment plants establishment. In the following year, the evaluation of the program was conducted using the same technique. Amongst 500 households that took part in the second phase there were people, who participated in the first phase (24%). Evaluation proved that their awareness of water pollution in the Raba River Watershed was higher than of the other program participants. They also more frequently accepted the necessity of payable connection of their houses to the sewage system and building of treatment plants in their immediate vicinity. Educational activities resulted in a change of environmental problems perception among local residents. But they are most effective only when they are constant. Such a programs should be continuously monitored and advised. Those inhabitants who were included in the educational program however, most often changed their attitudes towards such investigations than the rest of the local population.

The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme has been introduced in the Central and Eastern European countries since the beginning of the 1990s. Developed in the 1960s by the International Baccalaureate Organisation in Geneva, it became since then an important part of the world educational system. The number of schools authorised by the International Baccalaureate Organisation (IBO) to offer the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) has increased considerably. This paper aims to present the history of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme in nine countries of Central and Eastern Europe (Bulgaria, The Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania and Slovakia).

The adopted international rules for educational programmes have stimulated their reform at the national and local levels. It is interesting to observe how individual countries have approximated them in pre-primary education. This is possible by a comparative approach, which is the content of this study. It is based on results of an analysis of national educational programmes in pre-primary education in three neighbouring countries – in the Czech Republic, Poland and the Slovak Republic. It points at what is basically conceptually the same and what is different in the curricula of the studied countries as a result of the trends in curricula in the OECD countries at the beginning of the 21st century.

The aim of this contribution is to assess selected aspects of the development of early childhood education and primary education in the Slovak Republic (SR) during the last twenty years in the context of the process of the transformation of the Slovak education system. Our aim is to emphasise: 1. The formation of a legislative framework for education reforms in SR; and 2. the development of a curriculum for early childhood and primary education. The contribution outlines various mechanisms for curricular transformation which are dependent on mutual configurations and the characteristic components of this difficult process. In the contribution we name the basic factors determining the conditions for the preparation, the implementation process and the assessment of results of education reform in early childhood and primary education. At the end of the article we offer suggestions which we feel could lead to the successful modification or further implementation of education reform in the Slovak Republic.

Autorka prezentuje w artykule trzy scenariusze własnego pomysłu z zakresu edukacji regionalnej, wielo- i międzykulturowej. Proponowane scenariusze przeznaczone są do realizacji na zajęciach pozalekcyjnych adresowanych do młodzieży z terenu gminy Andrychów (w powiecie wadowickim w województwie małopolskim). W 2012 roku rozpoczęła ona badania dotyczące zajęć pozalekcyjnych dla dzieci ze specjalnymi potrzebami edukacyjnymi odbywających się na terenie gminy Andrychów w szkołach gimnazjalnych i ponadgimnazjalnych. Wstępne wyniki badań wskazują, że w niektórych szkołach na zajęciach pozalekcyjnych „Zajęcia historyczne”, „Kółko Historyczne” są realizowane elementy edukacji regionalnej, a zajęcia pozalekcyjne z zakresu edukacji wielo- i międzykulturowej nie są prowadzone. Wydaje się uzasadnionym stworzenie cyklu scenariuszy z zakresu edukacji regionalnej, wielo- i międzykulturowej, przeznaczonych nie tylko do realizacji na wspomnianych zajęciach pozalekcyjnych – których głównym tematem jest historia – ale również na zajęcia i koła zainteresowań umożliwiające nabycie wiedzy, postaw i umiejętności wynikających z realizacji celów edukacji wielo- i międzykulturowej. Zajęcia takie powinny powstać w najbliższym czasie, a autorka żywi nadzieję, iż opracowane przez nią scenariusze staną się inspiracją do ich tworzenia przez samych nauczycieli, uczniów bądź rodziców (opiekunów).
In the article the authoress presents three scenarios of her own idea in the regional multi- and intercultural education. The classes proposed are meant to be conducted during additional hours, and are directed to the young people from the district of Andrychów (małopolska province, the area of Wadowice). In 2012 she had begun the research in the field of additional classes, which were held in the district of Andrychów for the gymnasial and high school students with special educational needs. The preliminary results of the research show that some of the schools realize the elements of regional education during “History Classes”, “History Club”, but the classes in multi- and intercultural education are not conducted. It seems that creating the cycle of scenarios in the field of multi- and intercultural education has been justified; and not only should these classes be held during additional school hours, which primary subject is history, but also during classes and clubs which allow students to gain the knowledge, attitudes and skills arising from the realization of the aims of multi- and intercultural education. Such classes should be introduced in the nearest future and the authoress hopes that her sce- narios will become an inspiration for creating them on the teachers’, students’ or parents’ (guardians’) initiative.

“Erasmus”, named after a Dutch humanist and theologian, Erasmus of Rotterdam, is the European Commission’s programme for Higher Education (students, teachers and institutions). It was introduced with the aim of increasing student mobility within the European Community, subsequently including the European Economic Area countries, Switzerland and the Candidate Countries. Erasmus has been one of the four sectoral programmes supported under the EU Lifelong Learning Programme until the end of 2013. The author of this article in relation to the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the “Erasmus” program describes the current educational opportunities of Polish students. Firstly, he presents the selected challenges and opportunities of cultural and educational uniting Europe. Then, the statistical outline of youth in Poland in the context of the European Union and the display of the educational offers within the framework of European programs is shown.

This paper discusses the results of the Programme for International Student Assessment and the results obtained by students of the Wroclaw University of Economics. Special emphasis was placed on mathematics. Polish students obtained much better results in the latest PISA edition in maths, science and reading when compared to previous editions and to the average results calculated for the OECD countries. Despite this fact the scores of Polish students in the Creative Problem Solving test were much worse than the average for the OECD countries. It is worth noting that the Polish education system has been undergoing dynamic changes which are correlated with political changes and with the increase of social need for participating in decision-making in the education of the young generations. Unfortunately, the pressure to achieve good results in exams means that teachers have started to teach test solving instead of problem solving. This was also shown in the edition of the PISA exam. The authors of the article propose to change the structure of the didactic process, especially at universities, in a way that would make it possible to increase the number of exercises and laboratory hours.
