Opis:
This article presents a new software application called the DMML Editor, which is based on the Dialogue Moves Markup Language. This technology has been created by a EUROSTER Transnational Partnership working group financed by the European Union (European Social Fund and the EQUAL Community Initiative). This project is one of several results of work carried out over almost two years of cooperation among experts from the IT Agency as well as scientists from the University of Gdansk and of the Gdansk Institute for Market Economics of the Gdansk Academy of Banking. This software application has been used for modeling decision processes connected with flexible forms of employment in the Polish shipbuilding industry.

Można zauważyć rosnące zainteresowanie zastosowaniem w systemach informatycznych ontologii, która ma za zadanie zobrazować model określonej dziedziny. W tym celu korzysta się z edytorów pozwalających na jej zapisanie. Pojawia się coraz więcej programów open source, jak również komercyjnych, mających wspomóc proces tworzenia ontologii. W artykule omówiono propozycję jedenastu kryteriów służących ocenie edytorów ontologii. Dla każdego przedstawiono skalę ocen. Zaproponowany wykaz kryteriów może posłużyć do przeprowadzenia badania i oceny edytorów ontologii z użyciem metod punktowych (scoringowych).
An increasing interest in using ontology, which is to illustrate a model of a specific field, in information systems may be noticed. In order to do that, editors that allow for creating an ontology are used. There is an increasing amount of both open source and commercial software to support the process of creating an ontology. In this article we discussed the suggestion of eleven criteria to evaluate ontology editors. For each of them, we presented a marking scale. The proposed list of criteria may be used to conduct research and evaluation of ontology editors with the use of scoring methods.

The article provides an insight into the problem of editorial censorship in the Kingdom of Poland. It shows that the nature of the censorship measures did not only depend on the attitude towards the state system, but also on the in-house relations dictated by the policy of the publisher and market relations. The editor, representing both private and corporate interests, imposes changes of a censorious nature not only under political or moral pressure, but also under the publisher’s pressure. And thus, he becomes a censor. This provides an additional insight into the practice of censorship under the Partitions of Poland. This issue is commonly viewed from the national and patriotic perspective that neglects this aspect, emphasising mainly the external oppression of the partitioning powers. In order to illustrate the differences between the various publishing policies, the measures applied by the editors of Przegląd Tygodniowy and Tygodnik Ilustrowany weeklies are discussed.

Redaktorzy dzienników i czasopism ponoszą odpowiedzialność wobec autorów, którzy dostarczają treści czasopism, właścicieli/wydawców czasopism oraz ogółu społeczeństwa za to, co pojawia się w jego dzienniku. Aby ustanowić i utrzymywać wysokiej jakości zawartość czasopisma, redaktor powinien przed przyjęciem stanowiska otrzymać wyraźne pisemne oświadczenie właściciela czasopisma, określające obowiązki i autonomię redaktora. Redaktorzy naczelni, a nie inne osoby, które nie mają wpływu na całokształt publikowanych materiałów, powinni być w pełni odpowiedzialni za decyzje redakcyjne dotyczące poszczególnych rękopisów. Prawo redaktora do wolności redakcyjnej powinno zostać uzgodnione zarówno przez redaktora, jak i właściciela/wydawcę czasopisma.
Editors of daily newspapers and magazines have responsibilities toward the authors who provide the content of the journals, the owners/publishers of the journals, and the public as a whole for what appears in his or her journal. To establish and maintain high-quality journal content, an editor should, prior to accepting a position, receive an explicit written statement from the journal’s owner that defines the editor’s responsibilities and autonomy. Editors should be given full responsibility for editorial decisions on individual manuscripts. The editor’s right to editorial freedom should be agreed on by both the editor and the journal owner/publisher.

The article attempts to present in a synthetic way (also in the axiological aspect) the editorial work of Juliusz Wiktor Gomulicki. The editions of Norwid’s ouvre prepared by Gomulicki, especially the first complete edition of the poet’s writings, were published mainly in the years 1944–1989. Undoubtedly, Gomulicki’s greatest editorial success was the full coverage of Norwid’s writings. However, there were also some flaws, such as the excessive “biographisation” of his editorial commentaries, erroneous readings and peculiar, in the literary sense, interpretations. Furthermore, Gomulicki marginalised Norwid’s activity in the area of plastic arts (cf. his lithograph Solo). Also his genological classifications and categorisations, which had a great influence on the layout and form of the corpus of Norwid’s writings, raise some serious doubts. Finally, it is also impossible to recognize the critical and scientific character of this publishing endeavour, which Gomulicki willingly and constantly stressed.

La historia de la edición literaria española experimentó un auge sobresaliente en el primer tercio de siglo que la llevó hacia su modernización definitiva y que este trabajo aspira a retratar sucintamente. Los editores, conscientes de su nueva función social, se agruparon y formalizaron una serie de reivindicaciones para cumplir correctamente su doble función económica y cultural. Además, desarrollaron estrategias para adaptarse a las condiciones sociales y económicas que afectaban tanto al contexto nacional como a los mercados exteriores. En la segunda parte del artículo se ofrece una clasificación de los principales sellos editoriales españoles que publicaban obras literarias, dividiéndolos en cuatro grandes grupos en función de su política editorial, con lo que se esboza una historia de edición literaria entre 1925 y 1936, a través de los más renombrados editores y sellos editoriales.

Opis:
W artykule przedstawiono nową witrynę internetową zrealizowaną w Katedrze Automatyki Okrętowej Akademii Morskiej w Gdyni. Na stronie zostały umieszczone informacje niezbędne do przygotowania własnych projektów układów cyfrowych opracowywanych w edytorze tekstowym i graficznym języka VHDL w środowisku Quartus. Strona zawiera przykłady rozwiązań począwszy od układów prostszych do bardziej zaawansowanych. W każdym z tych projektów przedstawiono przykładowe rozwiązania. Ponadto do każdego projektu, opracowanego przy użyciu obu wymienionych edytorów, zostały dołączone komentarze ułatwiające zrozumienie rozpatrywanych zagadnień.
The article presents a new website, realized at Department of Ship Automation in Gdynia Maritime University, based on an engineering diploma thesis. The website contains information necessary to prepare own digital circuit designs developed in the text and graphic editor of the VHDL hardware description language in the Quartus environment. There are examples of solutions from simpler to more advanced ones on the website, e.g. an adder implementation, a design of a sequential counter working in accordance with a specific graph, control plotters work, a system detecting a specific combination of input bits, a control system of a cargo lift, and so one. Each project contains a description of an example solution. Furthermore, for each project prepared in both editors, a commentary was added to facilitate understanding of the issues under consideration. The source files of all projects have been placed on the website, which allows students to be run on their own computers.

The article is devoted to the controversial, pro-Russian Polish editor of “Tygodnik Petersburski”, Józef Emmanuel Przecławski. He was the alumnus of the Vilnius University and a contemporary of Adam Mickiewicz and the Philomaths, later to become loyal to the Russian Empire. The author of the article uses the Russian socio-political background to analyse the correspondence between Przecławski, the periodical’s censor and the Tsar’s advisors who, over the objections of chief editor, collaborated to transform the weekly into a bilingual Polish-Russian edition. The analysis is based on citations from the Russian archives sources.

Analysis of formulae of algebra algorithms (AA) written in xml - format is described in the paper. A specific editor uses the xml - format for AA formulae writing to and reading from the computer memory. The xml – format contains operation types, operation orientations, operation uniterm separation, and AA operation uniterms. There are shown features of algorithm formula transforms, the result of which are 5 times shorter algorithms while saving all algorithm functionalities.
Istniejąca algebra algorytmów (AA) zawiera specjalne znaki operacji, jakich nie ma wśród znaków matematycznych. Znaki mają skomplikowane formy. Znaki operacji mogą być stworzone z wykorzystaniem istniejących edytorów, takich jak na przykład Word. Jednak proces ich tworzenia jest bardzo skomplikowany i czasochłonny. Z tego powodu dla komputerowego edytowania formuł algebry algorytmów został stworzony specjalny edytor, którego główne okienko przedstawiono na rys.1. Dla zapisu formuł algebry algorytmów w pamięci komputera został stworzony specjalny format xml. Opisano format xml, służący do zapisu formuł algebry algorytmów do pamięci komputera. Zbudowano dwie formuły do analizy formatu xml, wykorzystane do identyfikacji i zapisu typów, orientacji i separatorów oraz unitermów operacji algebry algorytmów. Udowodniono, że te formuły umożliwiają wykonanie analizy formatu xml. Pokazano możliwości przekształcenia formuł algorytmów. W wyniku przekształceń możliwe jest 5 – krotne zmniejszenie liczby unitermów, przy zachowaniu wszystkich funkcjonalności formuły algorytmu.

The main aim of the article is to discuss the issue of the liability of an editor for a press offence, according to Article 49a of the press law. The analysis begins with a historical overview which shows the evolution of liability for offences committed in print by press outlets. To this end, the author introduces the concepts of the right of anonymity or the responsible editor. These two institutions, characteristic of the interwar period, performed two extremely different functions. The former allowed to conceal the identity of the author of the printed material, while the latter was instituted in order to ensure that the victims were sufficiently protected. The analysis of the current provisions of the press law showed that the legislator introduced two separate legal definitions: that of an editor and that of an editor in chief. The following part of the article discusses those two categories in more detail, paying particular attention to the decoding of their definitions as introduced in the press law from a practical standpoint. Moreover, it has been emphasized that each editor in chief is also an editor, but not vice versa, since some regulations are addressed specifically to the editor in chief. Bearing in mind that assigning liability for a press offence is dependent on determining the moment from which a person can be considered an editor in chief, the author discusses the registration system for journals and periodicals. As a result, the author determines three distinct periods of time which determine the possibility of considering a particular person as an editor in chief. The last part of the article is devoted to the rules and circumstances of prosecution of the editor for publishing a press article. The author points to the differences which stem from assuming a different subject party of the offence. In the cases of assuming negligence, it results in liability under Article 49a of the press law, whereas in the cases of assuming intentionality results in liability for an intentional offence of another type committed in complicity.

Finding a niche journal for the submission of an academic paper can sometimes be a challenge for authors, and finding the right choice may involve a series of submissions and rejections. Emails from editors and journals related to the submission or rejection of a paper should be strictly related to these purposes, i.e., to inform authors that their paper has been received, outline the subsequent editorial handling or peer reviewer steps in the former, or the reasons for rejection in the latter. This paper highlights four cases of - in the author’s opinion - the abuse of such emails by COPE member journals and publishers (Emerald Publishing Ltd., Springer Nature, Elsevier, Wiley) to advertise for-profit English revision and editing services and/or conferences, as a way to maximize these emails for a dual purpose, namely to inform authors of submission-related aspects (valid communication) while also trying to obtain clients and thus business for non-submission-related aspects (invalid communication). Since an abuse of email-based communication for non-academic purposes is an ethics-related matter, there is a need for systematic research of this potential abuse of emails from both COPE member and non-member journals.

Opis:
Recreational canoeing and hiking is a popular way to use free time by people who like to spend time actively. Promoting tourist resources on the Internet with the use of semantic technologies enables precise, interactive and proactive dedicated travel services. Semantic information technologies are based on formal knowledge representation systems. Ontology is the basis to build semantic knowledge base that integrates information about tourist resources. The article gives a method of building ontology resources tourism canoeing on the example of the Lublin Voivodeship, using ontology editor FluentEditor.
Turystyka kajakowa to jedna z form turystyki kwalifikowanej. Kajakarstwo rekreacyjne i turystyczne jest popularnym sposobem wykorzystania wolnego czasu przez osoby, które lubią spędzać aktywnie czas nad wodą. Propagowanie zasobów turystycznych w Internecie z wykorzystaniem technologii semantycznych umożliwia precyzyjne, interaktywne i proaktywne dedykowanie usług turystycznych. Semantyczne technologie informacyjne bazują na formalnych i wykonywalnych systemach reprezentacji wiedzy zwanych ontologiami. Ontologia taka jest podstawą do skonstruowania semantycznej bazy wiedzy integrującej informacje o zasobach turystycznych. W artykule przedstawiono metodę budowy ontologii zasobów turystyki kajakowej w województwie lubelskim na przykładzie Roztocza z wykorzystaniem edytora ontologii FluentEditor.

Beata Pawłowska-Wilde passed away on Easter Saturday 2015. She graduated from the Department of Conservation and Historic Monuments Studies specialising in museology at the Copernicus University in Toruń. She was Head of the Museology Department of the Centre for Documentation of Monuments (ODZ) for many years, as well as the co-author of publications on museums, including „Muzealnictwo”, „Museum Events”, the „Bibliography of information contained in publications by museums in Poland” and others. She was born on 13th April 1932 into a family of scientists researching history and art history. Both her private and professional life were greatly influenced by her family home and her surroundings, imbued with a scientific approach towards all and any activities, humanities, patriotism and honour.Her childhood was marked by the war. At the beginning of the Warsaw Rising, at the age of 12, she and her younger brother Christopher were deported to forced labour in Germany. Her moving accounts from those tragic days may be found in the Oral History Archives of the Museum of the Warsaw Rising.She graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts of Copernicus University in Toruń in 1954. She was engaged by Prof. Kazimierz Malinowski to work at ODZ in 1963. Her first task was to assemble and classify a bibliography of museology from Polish and foreign writings, as well as to edit subsequent volumes of the „Library of Museology and Monument Protection” Series. In 1976 she became Head of the Museology Department. While in that position she directed her own projects related to the history of museology; for example, she devised a comprehensive survey for the Index of Museum Registry in Poland and subsequent editions of the Inventory of Museums in Poland. From 1982 she worked as Managing Editor of „Muzealnictwo”, from 2000-2010 as Associate Editor, and from 1991 as editor-in-chief of the periodical „Museum Events”. She also co-authored successive volumes of the „Bibliography of information contained in publications issued by the museums in Poland. Non-serial and serial publications”. During 40 years in the Museology Department of the Centre for Documentation of Monuments, Beata Pawłowska-Wilde made an invaluable contribution to the systematisation of activities relating to Polish museums, recording them and promoting knowledge about Polish and international museology. She established a relationship with Polish museum professionals which resulted in close contacts between „Muzealnictwo’s” Editorial Board with this circle to this day. She co-operated conceptually with the Editorial Board, offering her advice and support when preparing each issue of the periodical. The editorial archives include: a film about „Muzealnictwo” made in 2012 on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the annual, and footage shot by her son, Tomasz Wilde, which consists of priceless memories of Beata Pawłowska-Wilde, as well as of the long-time editor-in-chief of the „Muzealnictwo” Annual, Janusz Odrowąż-Pieniążek, in which both of them tell interesting and touching stories about the editors’ history, their associates and the fate of the periodical in the 1980s and 1990s.
W Wielką Sobotę poprzedzającą Wielkanoc 2015 r. zmarła Beata Pawłowska-Wilde – absolwentka konserwatorstwa i zabytkoznawstwa ze specjalizacją w zakresie muzealnictwa na Uniwersytecie im. M. Kopernika w Toruniu, wieloletnia szefowa Działu Muzealnictwa Ośrodka Dokumentacji Zabytków (ODZ), współtwórczyni wydawnictw dotyczących muzeów, m.in. „Muzealnictwa”, „Zdarzeń Muzealnych”, „Bibliografii zawartości wydawnictw muzeów w Polsce” i innych. Urodziła się 13 kwietnia1932 r. w Warszawie w rodzinie naukowców badających dzieje historii i sztuki. Dom rodzinny i otoczenie przepojone atmosferą naukowego podejścia do wszelkich działań, humanizmem, patriotyzmem i honorem – to wszystko wpłynęło na Jej życie prywatne i postawę zawodową. Jej dzieciństwo naznaczyła wojna – na początku Powstania Warszawskiego, w wieku 12 lat została wywieziona razem ze swoim młodszym bratem Krzysztofem na roboty do Niemiec. W Archiwum Historii Mówionej Muzeum Powstania Warszawskiego znajduje się przejmująca relacja Beaty Pawłowskiej-Wilde z tamtych tragicznych dni. W 1954 r. ukończyła Wydział Sztuk Pięknych na UM K w Toruniu. W 1963 r. została zaangażowana przez prof. Kazimierza Malinowskiego do pracy w ODZ i jej pierwszym zadaniem było gromadzenie i klasyfikowanie bibliografii muzealnictwa z piśmiennictwa polskiego i obcego oraz redagowanie poszczególnych tomów serii „Biblioteki Muzealnictwa i Ochrony Zabytków”. W 1967 r. została kierownikiem Działu Muzealnictwa – wykonując zadania związane z pełnieniem tej funkcji prowadziła jednocześnie projekty autorskie dotyczące historii muzealnictwa: opracowała obszerną ankietę do Kartoteki Ewidencji Muzeów w Polsce i kolejnych wydań Wykazu Muzeów w Polsce. Od 1982 r. pełniła obowiązki sekretarza redakcji „Muzealnictwa”, w l. 2000–2010 zastępcy red. naczelnego, od 1991 r. red. naczelnego biuletynu „Zdarzenia Muzealne”, współtworzyła również kolejne tomy „Bibliografii zawartości wydawnictw muzeów w Polsce. Druki zwarte i ciągłe”. Przez 40 lat pracy w Dziale Muzealnictwa ODZ Beata Pawłowska-Wilde wniosła nieoceniony wkład w usystematyzowanie działań dotyczących polskich muzeów, zewidencjonowania ich, a także w propagowanie wiedzy o muzealnictwie polskim i światowym. Zbudowała więź ze środowiskiem muzealników polskich, która do dziś owocuje bliskimi kontaktami redakcji „Muzealnictwa” z tym środowiskiem. Do ostatniej chwili życia współpracowała z redakcją koncepcyjnie, służąc jej radą i wsparciem merytorycznym przy tworzeniu każdego numeru periodyku. W archiwum redakcyjnym znajdują się: film o piśmie „Muzealnictwo” zrealizowany w 2012 r., w związku z jubileuszem 60-lecia jego istnienia oraz, nakręcony przez syna, Tomasza Wilde, materiał filmowy, który zawiera bezcenne wspomnienia Beaty Pawłowskiej-Wilde, a także wieloletniego redaktora naczelnego, Janusza Odrowąża-Pieniążka – obydwoje snują interesującą i wzruszającą opowieść o dziejach redakcji, jej współpracownikach i losach pisma w latach 80. i 90. XX wieku.

Ontologiczna inżynieria wiedzy jest dobrą podstawą metodologiczną, a ontologie dziedzin przedmiotowych ważnym elementem konstrukcyjnym semantycznych systemów reprezentacji wiedzy. W artykule omówiono budowanie ontologii w oparciu o edytor ontologii FluentEditor i język CNL (Controlled Natural Language). Przykładową ontologię dotyczącą fragmentu procesu produkcji rolniczej wykorzystano do budowy semantycznej bazy wiedzy. W tym celu wykorzystano projekt architektury opartej o strukturalno-funkcjonalną kompozycję systemów AllegroGraph, Drupal i MongoDB.
Ontological knowledge engineering is a good methodological background of semantic knowledge representation in systems design, and ontologies are important components of it. The paper presents process building ontology using the ontology editor FluentEditor and CNL (Con-trolled Natural Language). A sample ontology of agricultural production process was used to build an example of semantic knowledge base. For this purpose we applied software systems like AllegroGraph, Drupal and MongoDB.

Przedmiotem badań są wypowiedzi Wisławy Szymborskiej publikowane w tygodniku „Życie Literackie”. Na łamach czasopisma w latach 1960-1968 przyszła noblistka współprowadziła rubrykę Poczta literacka, w której oceniała próby pisarskie nadsyłane przez czytelników w listach do redakcji. Sporządzając odpowiedzi na listy do redakcji, zachowywała anonimowość i posługiwała się głównie polisemiczną formą „my”. Analiza sposobów uobecniania się podmiotu mówiącego w badanych tekstach pomaga odtworzyć obraz ich nadawcy. Część materiałową artykułu poprzedza krótka charakterystyka rubryki Poczta literacka oraz omawianego gatunku dziennikarskiego.
The aim of the paper is to examine Wisława Szymborska’s texts published in a weekly “Literary Life” [„Życie Literackie”]. From 1960 to 1968 a future Nobel Prize in Literature Laureate was a co-editor of a column called Literary Post. Szymborska evaluated readers’ literary attempts sent in the letters to the editor. She replied to the letters anonymously, by means of a polysemic form “we”. The analysis of the ways the speaker’s presence is revealed in the texts helps to reconstruct the view of the addresser. The empirical part of the paper is preceded with a short description of the column in question as well as the press genre under study.
