Opis:: Dynamiczny rozwój transportu jest istotnym czynnikiem rozwoju gospodarczego i znaczącym źródłem uciążliwości do- tyczących głównie negatywnego wpływu na środowisko. Jedną z metod pozwalających na poprawę sytuacji w tym obszarze jest racjonalne planowanie rozwoju systemu transportowego. W artykule omówiono problematykę modelowania rozwoju systemu transportowego. Scharakteryzowano problemy środowiskowe, które są brane pod uwagę przy modelowaniu rozwoju systemu transportowego. Ponadto omówiono koncepcję modelu rozwoju proekologicznego systemu transportowego, będącego rozwinięciem modelu proekologicznego systemu stanowiącego efekt prac nad projektem EMITRANSYS. Wskazano jego elementy oraz zastosowanie.
Dynamic development of transport is important factor of economic development and significant source of nuisance regarding mainly negative impact on environment. One of methods to improve situation is rational planning of transport system development. Article discusses problem of transport system development modelling. Environmental problems, which are taken into account were characterized. Concept of model for pro-ecological transport system development, which is an extension of model constituting effect of work on EMITRANSYS project, was discussed. Its elements and application were indicated.

Opis:: Transport is generally an instrument for globalization. It is not possible to use transport as an instrument for de-globalization. For compensating the negative effects of globalization on regional and local markets, a world-wide sustainable development process is to be started. This is an idea propagated by United Nations since the publishing of the Brundtland-Report. Sustainability has three components: the social, the ecological and the economic sustainability. Economic sustainability is realized when the (transport) enterprises make no profits and setting the prices is following a price-wage-rule. This rule postulates that the price and wage have to be equal. However, transport can also set incentives for social and ecological sustainability. Transport is no instrument for de-globalization, but an important instrument for compensating the negative effects of globalization. The measures which transport policy has to realize sustainability are not new, but we need to a new world-wide concept for transport policy. We have to accept, that the world is one economic area and not more than two hundred areas. We need only one set of economic rules and not over hundred different sets of rules.

Opis:: The progressive degradation of the environment makes implementing pro-ecological solutions in various areas of our lives more meaningful. These measures also apply to transport, responsible for around 30% of total carbon dioxide emissions in the EU. Implementing ecological solutions in road transport encounters various barriers resulting mainly from the specificity of transport tasks. One of the most promising solutions in the high-tonnage road transport sector seems to be LNG-fueled engines, which allow for similar operating conditions to traditional combustion vehicles. The article aims to identify the environmental benefits of the use of high-tonnage LNG-fueled vehicles in freight transport and to conduct a comprehensive assessment of the economic efficiency of this solution. The article assesses the effectiveness of using an LNG-fueled vehicle and a diesel-fueled vehicle that meets the highest exhaust emission standard in high-tonnage transport, both in terms of economy and an impact of these solutions on the environment. The research was carried out on a given route, taking into account variants of vehicle manning and simulations of transport cycle time. In conclusion, a discussion of the obtained results was carried out, emphasizing the factors determining the profitability of using high-tonnage vehicles with LNG drive or its lack. Regardless of the indicated lack of clarity in the economic assessment of the effectiveness of LNG drives in high-tonnage vehicles, the identified environmental benefits from implementing these solutions seem to be quite unequivocal. Thus, it should be expected that in the event of loss of economic competitiveness of these solutions, appropriate fiscal instruments should be used - especially since LNG drives in the policies of individual countries are considered pro-ecological solutions.

Opis:: Paper presents simulation model of pro-ecological transport system (PTS). Model allows computational experimentation and inference on transport modal split and emission of pollution in a national scale. In particularly, Representation of model of pro-ecological transport system, transport sub-systems and segments of demand in freight transport in simulation model of PST, detailed assumptions of onboard measurements for Mercedes C200, detailed results of on-board measurements of pollutants, CO2 emission in function of instantaneous velocity and acceleration, representation of pollutants emitted by freight transport in Poland, as well general assumptions for designing simulation model of pro-ecological transport system and material and passenger flows distribution and the pollution emission are presented in the paper.

Opis:: The concept of an innovative support tool for freight transport used in planning, organization and realization is presented in this paper. In addition to the basic functions of a fleet management tool, the educative approach towards environmentally friendly behaviour will be based on promoting ecological solutions, such as unconventionally powered cars, e.g., electric vehicles (EVs). The suggested criteria for a routing algorithm, which will be implemented in the freight transport planner tool, not only allows routing in relation to time and cost criteria, but also the criterion regarding the limitation of emissions of harmful factors. The implementation of innovative the S-mile platform gives rise to environmentally friendly cognition behaviour in the freight transport sector. This is a fundamental aspect to its application, which could help to move the planning, organization and realization of freight transport in the direction of more environmental friendly solutions.

Planer ten wyróżnia duża liczba uwzględnio-nych sposobów podróżowania, w tym realizacji łańcuchów przemieszczeń z zastosowaniem transportu indywidualnego i zbiorowego, a także możliwość analizy i zestawienia realizacji podróży w różny sposób wykorzystując wiele kryteriów porównawczych. Z uwagi na zaimplementowane możliwości omawiany planer może pełnić rolę informacyjną i promować rozwiązania proekologiczne dla systemu transportowego na wybranym obszarze.
The article discussed a travel planner built within the project Green Travelling funded by ERA-NET Transport Travelling Future III. Planner is distinguished by the large number of included ways to travel, including the implementation travel chains using individual and public transport, as well as the ability to analyze and compilation of travel solutions in different ways using many benchmark criteria. Due to the implemented possibilities discussed planner can act as an information and promote environmentally-friendly solutions for the transport system in the selected area.

Podróż trolejbusem umożliwia poznanie różnorodnych architektonicznie i funkcjonalnie osiedli tworzących niepowtarzalny krajobraz miasta zaplanowanego jako „ sypialnia” dla Górnośląskiego Okręgu Przemysłowego.
The article presents an outline of trolley-bus transportation in Tychy, as well as selected elements of the cultural landscape of the city extending along trolley-bus lines. The trolley-bus routes provide the possibility to get to know a city unique in its kind - designed and consistently developed as a city with a dominating residential function. The space development of Tychy reflects all urban and architectural tendencies realized in Poland after World War II, from socialist realism characteristic of the 1950s, through prefab high-rises, to developed single- and multi-family apartment complexes. Travelling by trolley-bus allows one to familiarize themselves with the architecturally and functionally diverse housing complexes that create the unique landscape of the city designed to be a sleeper city for the Upper-Silesian Industrial Region.

Opis:: W artykule omówiono przyczyny zdarzeń o charakterze awaryjnym w transporcie drogowym niebezpiecznych towarów. W ocenie Transportowego Dozoru Technicznego prawie 100% zdarzeń awaryjnych ma związek z przyczynami eksploatacyjnymi, takimi jak brak lub niewłaściwe kwalifikacje obsługi, lekceważenie przepisów, niedostosowanie prędkości jazdy do warunków atmosferycznych lub stanu drogi. Według danych Głównego Inspektora Ochrony Środowiska zdecydowaną większość przyczyn zdarzeń o znamionach poważnej awarii stanowią wypadki drogowe spowodowane brakiem lub niewłaściwymi kwalifikacjami obsługi oraz lekceważeniem przepisów ruchu drogowego. Z analiz Państwowej Straży Pożarnej wynika, że liczba miejscowych zagrożeń chemicznych i ekologicznych w transporcie drogowym materiałów niebezpiecznych spowodowanych niezachowaniem zasad bezpieczeństwa ruchu w latach 2005-2007 wyniosła 550, co oznacza 56% ogólnej ich liczby.
This publication discusses the causes of accident events in the road transportation of dangerous chemicals in Poland. According to the Transportation Technical Supervision almost all accident events are connected with the operation of transportation devices, such as the operating personnel's lack of or unsuitable qualifications, disregard for traffic rules, and speed not adjusted to current weather or road conditions. According to data from the Chief Inspector of Environmental Protection, most events with the attributes of major accidents are road accidents caused by the operating personnel's lack of or poor qualifications or disregard for traffic rules (43 out of 61 cases in 2005-2006). According to data from the National Fire Service, in 2005-2007 there were 550, i.e. 56% of the total of 988, local chemical and ecological hazards in the road transportation of hazardous materials, which were caused by failure to follow traffic safety rules.

Opis:: In the paper the environmental nuisance of transport of goods loaded in semi-trailers was analysed, using both road and rail transport. In the second case the transport of semi-trailers using intermodal wagons pulled by the diesel locomotive was taken into account. The ecological aspects focused on such harmful compounds as: carbon monoxide, hydrocarbons and nitrogen oxides.
W artykule przeprowadzono analizę uciążliwości środowiskowej przewozu towarów naczepami, z wykorzystaniem zarówno transportu drogowego, jak i kolejowego. W tym drugim przypadku uwzględniono transport naczep przy wykorzystaniu intermodalnych wagonów kolejowych ciągniętych przez lokomotywę spalinową. Aspekty ekologiczne koncentrowały się na takich szkodliwych związkach, jak: tlenek węgla, węglowodory i tlenki azotu.

Opis:: The use of modern vehicles may contribute to limiting the adverse impact of urban transport on the environment. Evaluation of the options for choosing new means of transport in terms of economic and ecological benefits allows for the identification of the most advantageous variants. The solution is to consider replacing a bus compliant with a Euro III norm (base variant) with a one compliant with Euro VI (option 1) or with an electric counterpart (option 2). The evaluation of the solutions was based on the calculated parameters: a monetary value reflecting the energy cost of the analyzed buses and the ecological effect of the reduced emissions from the Euro VI bus or the electric bus compared with the Euro III vehicle. The ecological effect resulting from the use of the electric bus was determined taking into account the emissions from fossil fuels (coal, natural gas) and biomass. The method of cost analysis was used to evaluate the solution of replacing older buses with new ones (with different types of propulsion). It is based on calculating the unit cost of achieving the ecological effect of the solution.

Opis:: The aim of the study is to assess the scope of the impact of the COVID-19 epidemic on the rail transport market in Europe. To this end, both the passenger and freight transport market were analysed. The period under study covers the years 2019-2022. The COVID-19 epidemic has affected all European countries; and this extends to the demand and supply side of all modes of transport, including rail transport. Restrictions implemented in various areas of economic activity caused Railways to lose a significant part of their passengers. In 2020, the number of passenger-kilometres decreased by an average of 48% compared to 2019. Countries such as Ireland and the United Kingdom saw the biggest change (a decrease of 65%). With regard to the transport of cargo by rail, the scale of the restrictions was already significantly smaller. As a result, the volume of transport performance expressed in tonne-kilometres decreased in 2020 by 7% compared to 2019. The years 2021-2022 represent the end of the reconstruction of the railway market, where the number of passengers transported by rail and the rate of rail use increased significantly and widely. Countries such as Germany, Spain and France have taken initiatives to promote public transport, mainly railways. For the further development of rail transport, it is necessary to continuously improve the quality of services, reduce journey times, improve the accessibility of modern rolling stock and integrate rail with other regional, urban and suburban rail networks and other modes of transport.
Celem opracowania jest ukazanie zakresu oddziaływania epidemii COVID-19 na rynek przewozów kolejowych w Europie. Analizie poddano rynek przewozów pasażerskich i towarowych. Badany okres obejmuje lata 2019-2022. Epidemia COVID-19 dotknęła wszystkie kraje europejskie, wpłynęła na stronę popytową i podażową wszystkich rodzajów transportu, w tym także transport kolejowy. Ograniczenia wdrożone w różnych obszarach działalności gospodarczej spowodowały, że kolej utraciła znaczną część pasażerów. W 2020 r. ilość pasaże-rokilometrów w porównaniu do 2019 r. zmniejszyła się średnio o 48%. Największa zmiana dotyczyła takich krajów jak Irlandia i Wielka Brytania (spadek o 65%). W odniesieniu do transportu ładunków koleją skala oddziaływania obostrzeń była już znacząco mniejsza. W rezultacie ilość pracy przewozowej wyrażona liczbą tonokilometrów zmniejszyła się w 2020 r. o 7% w porównaniu z rokiem 2019. Lata 2021-2022 to kres odbudowy rynku kolejowego. W sposób znaczący i powszechny wzrosła wówczas liczba pasażerów przewożonych koleją oraz wskaźnik wykorzystania kolei. Takie kraje jak Niemcy, Hiszpania czy Francja, podjęły inicjatywy mające na celu promowanie publicznych środków transportu, w tym głównie kolei. Dla dalszego rozwoju transportu kolejowego konieczne jest stałe podnoszenie jakości usług, skracanie czasu podróży, poprawa dostępności nowoczesnego taboru oraz integracja kolei z pozostałymi regionalnymi, miejskimi i podmiejskimi sieciami kolejowymi, a także z innymi rodzajami transportu.
