    Opis:
    Generation-based approach to natural resource economics has been developed in the article. Based on sustainable development definition, generations can be categorized by present and future ones. An ecological classification of the global natural resources has been proposed, which is related to future generations. Economic issues of eco-futuristic classification have also been raised in the article. Classification of ecological values has been proposed and ecological values being incorporated into a form of ecological culture and exploited as a new factor of production have been analyzed. The effect of increasing marginal futuristic utility of ecological values has been revealed at the end of the article.

    Opis:
    The following article examines aspects of education for sustainable development. The author argues that the most effective way of changing the ecological situation is to alter the social reality through appropriate education. Assuming that a structural analysis of the education phenomenon can improve our understanding of how education works, the author proposes dividing the educational process into four components, called fields of education. Based on the idea of fields of education, the author also proposes distinguishing three levels within the ESD system – ecological enlightenment, ecological consciousness and ecological culture. The author also gives some practical examples of how we can use these classifications in ESD.

    W artykule przedstawiono odautorską wizję roli kultury ekologicznej jak czynnika stabilnego rozwoju regionów przemysłowych we współczesnych warunkach. Uściśla się naukowe rozumienie treści i struktury kultury ekologicznej. Na podstawie wyników badań socjologicznych autorzy uzasadniają tezę, że poziom kultury ekologicznej zarówno ludności, jak i przedstawicieli biznesu na Ukrainie, między innymi w Krzyworoskim Regionie Przemysłowym pozostaje na niedostatecznym poziomie. Rozwijana jest myśl o konieczności doskonalenia państwowej polityki ekologicznej i wychowania ekologicznego w sferze edukacji.
    The article is deal with ecological culture as a factor of sustainable development of industrial regions in modern conditions. The scientific understanding of the content and structure of ecological culture is specified. Based on the results of sociological research, the authors substantiate the level of environmental culture of both the population and business representatives in Ukraine, including Krivoy Rog is insufficient. It is necessary to improve the state environmental policy and environmental education.

    The aim of the article is to analyze the concept of a natural monument as a category that may be useful in non-anthropocentric humanities. A theory of nature conservation based on this concept is discussed as an approach that undermines the culture – nature dichotomy by claiming that a “culture of nature” should be developed. The idea of a natural monument makes it also possible to offer an interpretation of the natural environment that may withstand standard views of nature as an economic resource, tourist attraction or a sphere which humans should not interfere with. The ideas of certain Polish pioneers of ecology are also shortly discussed.

    Resource safety of agricultural production is investigated as the main condition. Its dominant registers are land resources and fertility of soil. The bearing-out of nutritives is analyzed from soil together with the harvest of agricultural cultures. It shall be underlined that for providing maintenance of areas and fertility, it is crucial to maintain a balance between the bearing-out of nutritives from soil with the harvest of agricultural cultures and compensative bringing. The major directions of maintenance of the resource providing agricultural production are the following: increase of bringing of organic fertilizers, optimization of the structure of croplands, strengthening the responsibility of land users, development of ecological culture.

    Celem artykułu jest zarysowanie kierunku w edukacji i pedagogice uwzględniającego w coraz szerszym zakresie i w sposób zintegrowany współczesne problemy i wyzwania ekologiczne, społeczne i ekonomiczne, przygotowując jednocześnie młodego człowieka do rozumienia i sprostania wyzwaniom, z jakimi mierzy się dzisiejszy świat. W artykule przywoływane są koncepcje człowieka ekologicznego i kultury ekologicznej, stworzone przez polskiego twórcę filozofii ekologicznej, Henryka Skolimowskiego. Zdaniem autora, stanowią one konstruktywne propozycje w kształtowaniu postaw zaangażowanych ekologicznie w pedagogice zrównoważonego rozwoju. Skuteczne i trwałe osiąganie celów tej koncepcji wymaga metanoi – szerokiej przemiany świadomościowej i mentalnej w kierunku postaw wrażliwych na współczesną problematykę relacji człowiek–środowisko przyrodnicze: partycypacji, empatii, umiarkowania, rewerencji i odpowiedzialności. Dotyczy to również sfery związanej z konsumpcją. Wartości te powinny stać się elementem głębokich kompetencji ekologicznych, tworzących podstawę dla ugruntowanej mentalnie kultury ekologicznej. W jej kształtowaniu kluczową rolę do odegrania ma pedagogika (w tym pedagogika lasu), a przywoływane w artykule idee i podejścia mogą być wykorzystywane w służącej temu praktyce edukacyjnej.
    The aim of the article is to outline the direction in education and pedagogy, taking into account, in an integrated manner, contemporary ecological, social and economic problems and challenges; at the same time preparing a young person to understand and face the contemporary challenges of the word. The article refers to the concepts of the Ecological Man and ecological culture created by the Polish creator of the ecological philosophy, Henryk Skolimowski. They may constitute constructive proposals in shaping ecologically engaged attitudes in the pedagogy of sustainable development. Effective and lasting achievement of the goals of sustainability requires metanoia – a broad transformation of consciousness and mind towards attitudes, which are sensitive to the contemporary issues of the Human – Nature relationship: participation, empathy, frugality, reverence and responsibility. This also applies to the consumption processes. These values should become an element of deep ecological competences, forming the basis for a mentally grounded ecological culture. Forest Pedagogy has a key role to play in shaping it, and the ideas mentioned in the article can be used in the educational practice serving this purpose.

    Artykuł przedstawia teoretyczno-metodologiczne uzasadnienie roli sztuki w formowaniu ekologicznej kultury osobowości. Autor nadaje znaczącą rolę ekologicznemu paradygmatowi rozwoju procesów kulturowo-edukacyjnych we współczesnym świecie. Sztukę uważa się za pewny czynnik kształtowania światopoznania ekologicznego, jako zjawisko kulturowe, w którym fiksuje się i skoncentrowane w nim wyraża się ludzkie doświadczenie światopoglądowego samostanowienia w formach kulturowych opanowywania przyrody. Artystyczny obraz przyrody analizuje się jako potężny translator duchowego doświadczenia ludzkości, jako wynik estetycznie znaczącego i kulturowo przemyślanego projektowania aksjologicznego stosunku do bytu. W systemie wielofunkcyjności sztuki szczególnie wyróżnia się jej funkcja wychowawcza. Produkując szerokie spectrum aksjologicznych punktów orientacyjnych w relacjach z przyrodą, sztuka dzięki poznaniu milionów ludzi wraca te wartości do rzeczywistości obiektywnej jako pewne regulatory praktycznej działalności w przyrodzie. Został więc odkryty pedagogiczny potencjał estetyki ekologicznej oraz przedstawione zostało doświadczenie jego wykorzystania w celu korekcji światopoznania ekologicznego przyszłych nauczycieli.
    The article presents the theoretical and methodological substantiation of the role of art in person’s ecological culture education. The author justifies ecological paradigm of cultural and educational processes development in the modern world. Art is seen as a reliable factor in the formation of ecological outlook, as a phenomenon of culture, which has captured and concentrated human experience of ideological self-expression and experience of its objectification in the cultural exploration of nature. Artistic image of nature is analyzed as a powerful translator of spiritual humanity experience, as a result of significant aesthetic values and cultural comprehended design of value attitude to life. The educational function of art is highlighted among others. The art is producing a wide range of values towards relationship to nature. Thanks to the millions of people knowledge it returns those values into the objective reality as regulators of activity in nature. The pedagogical potential of environmental aesthetics is reveals and presented as an experience of future teachers the environmental outlook correction.

    The protection of the environment is possible only in society that is aware of the problems concerning nature and properly educated. Ecological education has to include all elements related to existence of human on the Earth. The art plays an important role in ecological education. Artistic performances can provide information concerning environmental problems and can shape respectful attitude towards nature. The aim of the paper is to investigate the relations of two apparently contradictory notions that are nature and culture and to present artistic activities representing ecological art (eco-art) in Poland, derived from discussed relations. The paper attempts to prove that in spite of the fact that the very phrase nature and culture emphasizes rather the difference of incompatible things and not the common aspects of two, natural and cultural domains interpenetrate, influence, and inform each other. Owing to the interdisciplinary research each domain gains in depth and interest. The article concentrates as well on the analysis of the particular works of art of some Polish artists creating ecological art who are: Jaroslaw Kozakiewicz, Teresa Murak, and Jerzy Dmitruk. Their origin is derived from authentic need of people to prevent tragic condition of our Planet. The aim of all ecological artistic activities is the call for environmental protection and reflection that causes change of lifestyle of the recipients.
    Ochronę środowiska przyrodniczego można skutecznie realizować tylko w społeczeństwie uwrażliwionym na przyrodę i przyrodniczo wyedukowanym. Edukacja prośrodowiskowa musi łączyć w sobie wszystkie elementy związane z egzystencją człowieka na Ziemi. Sztuka jako forma edukacji ekologicznej spełnia wiele ról. Oddziaływanie przez sztukę stwarza możliwości dostarczania informacji na temat problemów środowiskowych i kształtowania postawy szacunku do przyrody. Celem tej pracy jest zbadanie relacji, zależności i punktów styku dwóch przeciwstawnych z pozoru pojęć, jakimi są natura (przyroda) i sztuka, oraz omówienie wynikających z tych relacji zjawisk artystycznych, wpisujących się w nurt sztuki ekologicznej na gruncie polskim. Praca próbuje udowodnić, że, pomimo iż samo wyrażenie natura i kultura podkreśla raczej różnice niewspółdziałających ze sobą zjawisk, a nie wzajemnych zależności, te dwie dziedziny informują się nawzajem i wpływają na siebie. Koncentruje się też na analizie wybranych działań artystycznych polskich artystów, którzy tworzą dzieła o charakterze ekologicznym. Praca przedstawia takich twórców sztuki ekologicznej w Polsce, jak: Jarosław Kozakiewicz, Teresa Murak i Jerzy Dmitruk. Mimo że termin sztuka ekologiczna nie jest precyzyjny i ma charakter umowny, to wyżej wymienionych artystów i dzieła sztuki ekologicznej łączy to, że wypływają one z autentycznej potrzeby ludzi i ekologicznie trudnej sytuacji Ziemi. Celem artystów jest głęboko ekologiczny przekaz, będący wezwaniem do działań w obronie Ziemi oraz refleksja dążąca ku zmianie stylu życia odbiorcy.

Artykuł skupia się też na analizie wybranych działań artystycznych polskich artystów, którzy tworzą dzieła o charakterze ekologicznym. Praca przedstawia takich twórców sztuki ekologicznej w Polsce, jak: Jarosław Kozakiewicz, Teresa Murak i Jerzy Dmitruk. Mimo że termin sztuka ekologiczna nie jest precyzyjny i ma charakter umowny, to wyżej wymienionych artystów i dzieła sztuki ekologicznej łączy to, że wypływają one z autentycznej potrzeby ludzi i tragicznej sytuacji Ziemi. Ich celem jest głęboko ekologiczny przekaz, będący wezwaniem do działań w obronie Ziemi oraz refleksja dążącą ku zmianie stylu życia odbiorcy.
    The protection of the environment is possible only in society that is aware of the problems concerning nature and properly educated. Ecological education has to include all elements related to existence of human on the Earth. The art plays an important role in ecological education. Artistic performances can provide information concerning environmental problems and can shape respectful attitude towards nature. The aim of the paper is to investigate the relations of two apparently contradictory notions that are nature and culture and to present, derived from discussed relations, artistic activities representing ecological art (eco-art) in Poland. The paper attempts to prove that in spite of the fact that the very phrase nature and culture emphasises rather the difference of incompatible things and not the common aspects of two, natural and cultural domains interpenetrate, influence, and inform each other. Their interdisciplinary studies, owing to interdisciplinary research each domain gains in depth and interest. It concentrates as well on the analysis of the particular works of art of Polish artist creating ecological art who are Jarosław Kozakiewicz, Teresa Murak, and Jerzy Dmitruk.     Sprostanie wyzwaniom kryzysu ekologicznego jest stałą troską Kościoła. Od lat 60. ubiegłego wieku kolejne dokumenty Stolicy Apostolskiej przedstawiają nie tylko zagrożenia, ale także sposoby rozwiązywania kryzysu, np. poprzez wdrażanie programu ekologii ludzkiej, sformułowanego przez św. Jana Pawła II, lub jej pochodnej – w postaci ekologii integralnej papieża Franciszka, ogłoszonej w encyklice Laudato si’. W niniejszym artykule przedstawia się nową postać zagrożeń naturalności (tzw. denaturalizację) istnienia człowieka i innych jestestw, jakie niosą z sobą nowe zintegrowane technologie, ale nie ze względu na czysto technologiczne cele i metody, lecz ze względu na sposób wykorzystania osiągnięć postulowany w ideologii transhumanizmu. Rozważane są w kontekście transhumanizmu i posthumanizmu problemy redukcji naturalistycznej versus kulturalistycznej człowieka i jego wytworów. Posthumanistyczna wizja wirtualizacji bytu, nie tylko człowieczego, jest dyskutowana także z pozycji sposobu istnienia przedmiotu intencjonalnego. W wyniku rozważań personalistyczna koncepcja człowieka okazuje się ideową przeciwwagą dla trans- i posthumanistycznej wizji ludzkiego bytu, wzbogacającą technologią własną kondycję psychofizyczną, jak i otoczenie ludzkie oraz przyrodnicze.
    Facing the challenges of the ecological crisis is a constant concern of the Catholic Church. Since the 1960s, successive documents of the Holy See present not only threats but also ways of solving the crisis, such as by implementing the program of human ecology formulated by St John Paul II or its derivative – Pope Francis’ integral ecology announced in the encyclical Laudato si’. The article presents a new form of threats to the naturalness (the so-called denaturalization tendency) of the existence of man and other entities, which are brought by new integrated technologies, but not because of purely technological goals and methods, but because of the way of exploiting achievements as postulated in the ideology of transhumanism. The problems of naturalistic versus culturalist reduction of man and his products are considered in the context of transhumanism and posthumanism. The posthumanist vision of the virtualization of being, not only of a human, is also discussed from the point of view of the way of existence of an intentional object. As a result of the considerations, the personalistic concept of man turns out to be an objective counterbalance to the trans- and posthumanist visions of human existence: human person is able to enrich its own psycho-physical condition as well as the human and natural environment with technology.

    Artykuł jest próbą wyodrębnienia i ogólnego opisu aspektów filozoficznych, zawartych w teorii duchowości ekologicznej papieża Franciszka oraz porównania ich z myślą tomistyczną, rozwijaną przez jej polskich przedstawicieli w czasach współczesnych. Aspekty te dostrzeżono na gruncie wielu dyscyplin filozoficznych, ponieważ w tego typu duchowości chodzi o stosunek człowieka do najogólniej pojętej rzeczywistości realnej, czyli do samego siebie, przyrody, kultury i religii. W toku analizy obu stanowisk zauważono liczne analogie, a także pewne rozbieżności w sposobie widzenia przyrody, osoby ludzkiej, kultury (etyki) oraz religii, które przynajmniej częściowo można tłumaczyć niejednoznacznością niektórych sformułowań papieskich.
    This article is an attempt to isolate and describe the philosophical aspects of Pope Francis’s theory of ecological spirituality and compare them with Thomistic thought, as developed by Polish philosophers in modern times. This is something philosophers have already noticed, because this type of spirituality is about man’s relationship with the most generally understood reality, i.e. himself, nature, culture and religion. Our examination of both positions will reveal numerous analogies as well as some differences in their understanding of nature, the human person, culture (ethics) and religion, which at least partly can be explained by the ambiguity of some papal formulations.

The article has got a problem-based structure. The source basis is composed of printed sources of: the Polish Committee for UNESCO („Biuletyn Polskiego Komitetu ds. UNESCO”), the European Commission and the social thought of the Catholic Church.
    Celem artykułu jest wyjaśnienie znaczenia kształtowania świadomości ekologicznej społeczeństwa żyjącego w uwarunkowaniach kultury postindustrialnej, społeczeństwa wiedzy – na przykładzie zaleceń Organizacji Narodów Zjednoczonych do spraw Oświaty, Nauki i Kultury (UNESCO), Unii Europejskiej oraz Kościoła katolickiego. Artykuł ma strukturę problemową. Bazę źródłową stanowią źródła drukowane Polskiego Komitetu do spraw UNESCO („Biuletyn Polskiego Komitetu ds. UNESCO”), Komisji Europejskiej oraz dotyczące myśli społecznej Kościoła katolickiego.

    This article explores the topic of ecological post-apocalypse in popular culture. Conclusions are drawn based on an analysis of the purposive sample of 308 films (from short animated films to multiple-season series analysed as single items) and 200 novels and short stories. Different genres of ecological post-apocalypse are discussed along with the origins of a specific subgenre, climate post-apocalypse, which emerged at the turn of the 21st century. The films, novels and stories are characterised in terms of the world depicted in them. Based on this, ecological post-apocalypses from the 1970s and 1980s are juxtaposed with those from the 21st century. The texts are also analysed in terms of the social function they perform. Strongly embedded in popular culture, their ideas about the apocalypse are hardly realistic. As such they seem to be exercises in apocalyptic imagination. The worlds they depict resemble thought experiments where mechanisms of our world become denaturalised. As a result, new ethical constructs come to being, for example when a need arises to stretch our moral obligations in space and time. Post-apocalypses also undermine the neoliberal discourse on the strength and agency of middle classes.

    There has been a growing interest over the last years in techniques using alternative and pharmaceutical plants due to their wide potential applications. These species are characterised by valuable and multidirectional usable features, due to which their practical application is superior to their physiognomic features. These plants may provide a raw material for production of medicines, cosmetics or may be used for animal feeds. Moreover they may be used as ornamental, melliferous and energy plants. Owing to their generally low soil requirements they are used in the reclamation of degraded land. Among the species characterized by multidirectional use are Silphium perfoliatum, Helichrysum arenarium and Stevia rebaudiana. These plants are characterized by a high content of active compounds and a number of pro-health characteristics. Because raw materials for production of medicines and cosmetics should be standardized, cultures maintained under controlled conditions are a good source of seedlings.

    Purpose: This study aims to map the development of research on ecological civilization with Chinese characteristics using the VOSviewer bibliometric analysis covering texts published until January 2023. The aim of the article is also to find elements of the economic sciences within the framework of the researched issues. Design/methodology/approach: The article includes a review of the most popular scientific bibliographic databases of scientific texts, namely Web of Science and Scopus, and a structured literature review of the texts. The bibliographic data has been processed in the VOSviewer program. Findings and Originality/value: Quantitative results were presented in the form of bibliometric maps, showing among others the relationship maps between watchwords and the existence of six clusters within WoS and five clusters within Scopus, as well as the presence of economic sciences in the studied area of ecological civilization and its Chinese characteristics. Social implications: The world’s environmental problems and the shared resolution regarding the implementation of seventeen Sustainable Development Goals Sustainable indicate the importance of the topic of sustainable development. China's economic development and its aspirations to become the world's leading civilization point to the need to consider the pursuit of sustainability and civilization together.

    Sztuka pełni szczególną rolę w edukacji ekologicznej, wzbogacając świadomość ekologiczną jej odbiorcy. W artykule omawiane są początki nurtu ekologicznego w sztuce. Koncentruje się on na współczesnych dziełach polskiej architektury powstałych w miastach. Przestrzeń miasta stawia nowe wyzwania architekturze zrównoważonej (sustainable architecture). Koegzystencję zieleni i przestrzeni industrialnej w mieście reprezentują budynki Biblioteki Uniwersyteckiej i Sądu Najwyższego w Warszawie. Interesującym przykładem architektury o formach organicznych, odpowiadającym na problem niedostatku zieleni w mieście jest projekt Architektury Arborealnej Magdaleny Abakanowicz. Prezentowane dzieła architektury są nie tylko próbą ukazania, ale i rozwiązywania problemów ekologicznych, gdyż prowokują one do bardziej świadomego i odpowiedzialnego spojrzenia na środowisko.
    Since art has a power to influence mind and spirit many artists create works encouraging to be active in the domain discussed in the paper - the ecology. The artists presented in the paper create so-called ecological art, the fundamental assumption of which is to motivate to ecological actions The presented works of art emphasize the greenery in the city as the crucial element of the urban environment, as well as investigate the relations between artificiality of the city buildings and their natural components. Example illustrating the discussed is the Library Garden of the University of Warsaw, designed by Irena Bajerska. The building constitutes a vertical gardens where the visitors may admire a multiplicity of plant species and varieties, planted in different parts. The second example of the green architecture in capital of Poland is the facade of The Supreme Court Building (designed by Marek Budzynski, Zbigniew Badowski and associates) that is a public building which questions frontiers between culture and nature. The best known Polish artist in the world Magdalena Abakanowicz said “The art does not solve problems, but it alerts us to their existence” created a project of so called arboreal architecture. Her tree-houses, designated for Paris, are meant to be covert with greenery vegetations vertical gardens.

    The purpose of the article is to explain the methodological aspects of the source space in the 21st century exemplified by periodicals as the basis of historical research in the scope of ecological education in the Second Republic of Poland (1918-1939). In this context this article presents a scheme of the features of postmodern culture (the second half of the 20th century and the first decades of the 21st century) and examples of a dozen periodicals, which constitute a source basis for scientific research in the scope of educational history (both specific/ environmental and dedicated to the youth and children).
    Celem artykułu jest wyjaśnienie metodologicznych aspektów przestrzeni źródłowej w XXI wieku, na przykładzie czasopiśmiennictwa jako podstawy do badań historycznych w zakresie edukacji ekologicznej w II Rzeczypospolitej (1918-1939). W tym kontekście zaprezentowano zarys cech kultury ponowoczesnej/postmodernizmu (II połowy XX i pierwszych dekad XXI wieku), podano egzemplifikacje dwunastu czasopism stanowiących podstawę źródłową do badań naukowych w zakresie historii edukacji (zarówno fachowych/przyrodniczych, jak również przeznaczonych dla dzieci i młodzieży).
