- How do bilingual children talk about localisation in space? Example of Polish-French young bilinguals The paper analyzes the data collected during recorded interviews with Polish-French bilingual children living in Poland, aged from 4 to 8. The task given to the participants was to describe spatial situations in a series of images by answering the researcher’s question where is X? The answers were supposed to follow the BLC (Basic Locative Construction) pattern. Given locative constructions were then transcribed in CHAT format and analysed in order to find out what types of mistakes appear in children’s locative utterances and if those mistakes might be related to the children’s age, level of proficiency in French or to their bilingualism.
