This article is a rehearsal of realize procedures of projecting and constructing courses which are based on e-learnings technologies. A starting point to projecting e-course is a right and explicit preparing of starting materials. It permit notably abridge a process of constructing and elude a lot of misunderstandings while worktime on e-course.

RESEARCH OBJECTIVE: The aim of this paper is to evaluate usefulness of distance learning courses as a form of learning from participants’ perspective. THE RESEARCH PROBLEM AND METHODS: To achieve the purpose, two research methods have been employed: literature review, including rules and regulations concerning distance learning courses, and analysis of the results of a survey conducted among students participating in distance learning course as well as own observations and experiences. THE PROCESS OF ARGUMENTATION: In the paper it is analysed, how students perceiveelearning courses comparing to traditional ones. First, selected Polish Minister of Higher Education and the Senate of Cracow University of Economics (CUE) regulations under which CUE teachers may conduct distance learning courses are presented. Second, the procedure for the preparation of elearning courses at CUE is described. The roles played by individual actors during the preparation of the course are discussed. Next, selected results of the survey conducted among course participants are presented. Finally, conclusions and observations are discussed. Results of the survey confirm that e-learning is a promising type of teaching supporting traditional lessons. RESEARCH RESULTS: Aconsiderable number of participants found this kind of didactic proces useful and attractive. However, an unexpectedly large number stated that they expected more traditional lessons. CONCLUSIONS, INNOVATIONS, AND RECOMMENDATIONS: The analysis allows to draw interesting conclusions concerning the necessity of selection of participants, problem of systematic work, methods of evaluation, personal contact with a teacher, preparation of teaching materials. All of them will be taken under consideration to improve the course for future participants.
Celem artykułu jest zaprezentowanie doświadczenia autora w przygotowaniu i prowadzeniu kursów e-learningowych na podstawie własnych obserwacji i wyników angiety przeprowadzonej wśród uczestników. Autor dokonał analizy, jak studenci postrzegają zajęcia e-learningowe oraz na ile ta forma zajęć jest lepsza lub gorsza od formy tradycyjnej i pod jakim względem. Na wstępie zostały wskazane wybrane zarządzenia Ministerstwa Nauki i Szkolnictwa Wyższego oraz uchwały Senatu Uniwersytetu Ekonomicznego w Krakowie dotyczące prowadzenia zajęć na odległość. Następnie omówiono procedurę przygotowania kursów e-learningowych obowiązującą na UEK w Krakowie. Przedstawiono rolę poszczególnych osób uczestniczących w przygotowaniu takiego kursu. W dalszej kolejności scharakteryzowano przesłanki, które zadecydowały o wyborze kursu z Podstaw informatyki do nauczania w formie e-learningu. Główną część artykułu obejmuje omówienie wyników ankiety przeprowadzonej wśród uczestników kursu. Na zakończenie przedstawiono wnioski z przeprowadzonego badania oraz omówiono dalsze działania mające na celu usprawnienie przygotowanego kursu.

E-learning jako nowa forma procesu kształcenia wymaga od nauczycieli otwarcia się na metody i techniki, które są powszechnie stosowane w innych dziedzinach naszego życia, a jednocześnie mogą być z powodzeniem wykorzystane w e-dydaktyce. O sukcesie e-kształcenia w dużej mierze decydować będzie jakość oferowanych e-kursów. Autorzy proponują wykorzystanie narzędzi zarządzania jakością, które od wielu lat są skutecznie stosowane w procesach produkcyjnych. Narzędzia te można wykorzystać na każdym etapie tworzenia i realizowania e-zajęć. W przedstawionym artykule autorzy omawiają wykorzystanie wykresu przyczynowo-skutkowego do poprawy jakości e-kursów. Diagram Ishikawy może efektywnie przyczynić się do wyeliminowania niedociągnięć lub błędów już na etapie planowania e-kursu. Autorzy wierzą, że wykorzystanie tego narzędzia zarządzania jakością przyczyni się do poprawy jakości oferowanych e-kursów, a tym samym do podniesienia poziomu satysfakcji uczestników procesu e-kształcenia, tj. studentów i wykładowców.
E-learning as a new form of learning process requires teachers to be open to the methods and techniques that are commonly used in other areas of our lives, while there may be successfully used in e-teaching. The success of e-learning to a large extent will determine the quality of e-courses. The authors propose the use of quality management tools, which have for many years been successfully used in production processes. These tools can be used at every stage of devel147 opment and implementation of e-classes. In the article, the authors discuss the use of cause-and-effect diagram to improve the quality of e-courses. Ishikawa diagram can effectively help to eliminate the shortcomings or errors in the planning stage e-course. The authors believe that the use of quality management tools will help to improve the quality of e-courses, and thereby to increase the level of satisfaction of participants in the process of e-learning, ie. Students and faculty.

The article describes the software model of the system designing of the electronic courses (EC) with minimal impact of the subjective factor (CAD EC). IT uses ontologies of subject domain (SD). Ontology of subject of discipline (SDi) built on basis of SD. Ontology of subject of discipline includes descriptions of concepts, examples, laboratory works, tests. CAD EC converts reference books EC in the corresponding files of Moodle.
В статье описана программная модель системы автоматизации проектирования общезначимых, с минимальным влиянием субъективного фактора электронных курсов (САПР ЭК). САПР ЭК использует онтологию предметной области (ПдО). В автоматизированном режиме из ПдО строится онтология предметной дисциплины (ПдД), включающая в виде справочников ЭК описания понятий ПдД, примеры, лабораторные работы, тесты. В конце работы САПР ЭК конвертирует справочники ЭК в соответствующие файлы Moodle.

The ongoing SARS-CoV-2 pandemic has significantly affected the education process of young people in primary, secondary, and tertiary education, as well as those who improve their competences through various courses and trainings. The practically incessant lockdown in education has resulted in a situation in which distance learning, which most often plays a supplementary role, now constitutes the basic form of education. This situation has forced the selection and adaptation of the available e-learning tools to the types of classes and levels of education. Despite great progress in the development of e-learning technologies, constant stimulation and maintenance of students’ interest in the content presented and monitoring their activity still pose a problem, which also concerns the education of computer science students in issues related to computer graphics. Currently, the preferred model of distance learning is based on various technologies and IT tools that enable the implementation of synchronous and asynchronous work. Prompt acquisition of data on students’ activity allows trainers to adjust the form and content of the presented material to their expectations. It also makes it possible to identify issues that pose great difficulties to students. This paper discusses modern solutions and trends in designing e-learning courses based on the new interactive e-learning platform Quizer. The aim of the research is to determine the course effectiveness using the user activity-monitoring module designed and implemented for the Quizer e-learning platform. The correctness of the answers correlates with the number of attempts to answer it (−0.65). The time devoted to a given question was usually high for questions with low correctness of answers.
Trwająca pandemia wirusa SARS-CoV-2 znacząco uwarunkowała proces kształcenia młodzieży. Dotknęło to zarówno młodzież kształcącą się na poziomie podstawowym, średnim i wyższym, jak również osoby podnoszące swoje kompetencje poprzez różne kursy i szkolenia. Trwający praktycznie nieustannie lockdown w oświacie spowodował, że nauczanie na odległość, pełniące najczęściej rolę uzupełniającą, obecnie jest podstawową formą kształcenia. Sytuacja ta niejako wymusiła dobór i dostosowanie do rodzaju zajęć oraz poziomów kształcenia dostępnych narzędzi e-learningowych. Pomimo dużych postępów w rozwoju technologii e-learningowych w dalszym ciągu problemem podczas zajęć jest podbudzanie i utrzymanie zainteresowania ucznia prezentowanymi treściami oraz monitoring jego aktywności. Problem ten dotyczy również kształcenia studentów kierunków informatycznych w zagadnieniach związanych z grafiką komputerową. Obecnie preferowany jest model nauczania na odległość (distance learning) wykorzystujący różne technologie i narzędzia informatyczne pozwalający realizować pracę synchroniczną i asynchroniczną. Szybkie uzyskiwanie danych o aktywności uczniów pozwala na dostosowanie formy i zawartości prezentowanych treści do ich oczekiwań. Umożliwia również identyfikowanie zagadnień przysparzających uczniom dużych trudności. Niniejsza praca omawia nowoczesne rozwiązania i trendy w projektowaniu kursów e-learningowych na podstawie nowej interaktywnej platformy e-learningowej „Quizer”. Zaprezentowano i omówiono wyniki badania aktywności studentów kierunku informatyka podczas rozwiązywania testów e-learningowych z zakresu grafiki komputerowej. Celem badań jest określenie efektywności e-kursu z wykorzystaniem modułu monitorowania aktywności użytkowników zaprojektowanego i wdrożonego na platformie e-learningowej Quizer. Poprawność odpowiedzi koreluje z liczbą prób udzielenia odpowiedzi (0.65). Czas poświęcony na dane pytanie był zazwyczaj długi dla pytań o małej poprawności odpowiedzi.

The article presents the results of research studies carried out by master thesis (Project of e-learning course developing teachers media competences). Subject of study is scenario of course about media education for teachers (and part of coursebased of scenario). The teachers were asked about their opinion about distance learning and were asked to rate the part of the course.

The article presents the need to use eLearning in didactic classes conducted at universities. The article also outlines the criteria that must be met by e-learning courses created by academic staff of the University of Rzeszow. Each of the courses being created is subjected to a multidimensional assessment of the substantive and methodological criteria, the fulfillment of which enables them to be implemented in the process of academic education.

The article presents attempts to identify the needs and problems of modern e-learning and designed a solution that meets the needs of the recipients of e-learning and e-learning content providers. On the basis of this analysis, it was found that the market lacks the e-learning platform that meets all the needs and requirements in remote education. E-learning systems are very poor functionally, and tools for achieving the objectives, such as content creation, content distribution, management learning, and synchronous online meetings appear as separate applications that do not necessarily work well together. Most often each of them must be used separately that extends the preparation of training materials, and is a burden in the administration and supervision of the training course. On the basis of the analysis of remote training needs of recipients and creators of content proposed solution supporting distance learning. On the basis of the analysis of literature and research of user behavior designed and developed an integrated e-learning platform that meets the expectations of the users. The system has successfully motivating tool to complete training and does not require expensive implementation. The main objective of the proposed system was to eliminate the disadvantages observed in other systems. It was found that the human factor impeding the effective acquisition of knowledge as lack of motivation for self-study and the lack of contact with the teacher. In order to minimize the impact of these factors on the educational goals proposed solutions such as elements of competition and extensive virtual classrooms.

Using new technologies in the academic field has become more and more visible in Poland in the recent years. In the past, digital learning resources were used as supplementary materials helping to support face-to-face instruction. Nowadays, we have the opportunity not only to apply ‘traditional’ methods but also to use more sophisticated approaches such as e-learning and blended learning (BL) to provide more effective and flexible ways of delivering knowledge to students. E-learning can become a very effective part of ‘blended learning’ where a part of the course content is delivered online. This article provides a brief overview of the basic issues that need to be taken into consideration while designing a blended learning course. More precisely, it focuses on the e-learning aspect of blended learning. It also aims at providing the reader with adopted solutions and encountered problems in the process of BL course design.

Artykuł opisuje przeprowadzony eksperyment mający na celu zwiększenie zdawalności egzaminów studenckich odbywających się w pierwszym terminie na studiach inżynierskich. Wykład był w całości realizowany metodą tradycyjną przez doświadczonego prowadzącego. Pomimo to z roku na rok malały osiągane efekty kształcenia zwłaszcza w obszarze posiadanej wiedzy technicznej, a tym samym malała liczba studentów zdających egzamin w pierwszym terminie. Postanowiono utworzyć e-learningowy kurs wspierający wykład umożliwiający studentom uporządkowanie i utrwalenie posiadanej wiedzy. Przyjęto założenie, że nauczyciel akademicki z tytułu utworzenia i prowadzenia kursu nie będzie otrzymywał dodatkowego wynagrodzenia. Oznaczało to, że prowadzący był zainteresowany minimalizacją dodatkowego nakładu pracy włożonego w utworzenie i obsługę tworzonego kursu. Obserwowano reakcje studentów i poziom zdawalności.
The paper presents the results of experiment which has been made in the technical university. The goal of this experiment was to increase the number of students who passed an exam in the first attempt. Some lecture has been provided by the experienced academic teacher using the traditional methods. Despite it, from year to year the learning outcomes decreased, especially in the technical knowledge area, and number of students who passed exam in the first attempt was decreasing. The author of the experiment decided to try to change this trend. He created simplified e-learning course which had the purpose: to organize and consolidate students knowledge. It was assumed that teachers will prepare a course without any additional salary for this work. It meant that the teacher will be interested in minimizing the amount of additional time to work with this course creation and management. In the subsequent academic years three experiments have been conducted. Every year the course was little expanded in order to maximize the learning outcomes. After this modification the reactions of students and the exam passing level were evaluated.

Współczesne metody nauczania na odległość zmieniają się dynamicznie. Powstają światowe konsorcja podejmujące starania zapewnienia dostępu do edukacji na najwyższym poziomie z wykorzystaniem Internetu. Jedną z takich prób jest platforma edX. Jej rozwój zapoczątkowały niemal 2 lata temu MIT i Harvard. Obecnie zespół liczy już 30 uczelni z całego świata. Renoma ośrodków naukowych biorących udział w projekcie przyciągnęła już ponad 2 miliony kursantów z całego świata. Ogromnymi zaletami platformy są takie aspekty jak: kompleksowe podejście do kształcenia online, obejmujące zarówno wykłady jak i ćwiczenia, czy wirtualne laboratoria. Platforma jest również polem doświadczalnym dla nowatorskich metod weryfikacji wiedzy oraz jej potwierdzania za pomocą wciąż rozbudowywanego systemu certyfikatów. Modern e-learning methods develop dynamically. Worldwide consortiums, which unite institutions trying to make an effort to assure the education at highest level, with usage of the Internet, are created. The edX platform is a new approach to this task. It was founded almost two years ago by MIT and Harvard. At the present, participating group involves 30 top universities from all over the world. Reputation of those research centers appealed over 2 million students already. The most significant advantage of the edX platform is complex approach to the online training. It includes both valuable and encouraging video lectures and virtual laboratories where students can challenge new concerns on their own. The edX is also a testing field for innovative methods of knowledge and skills verification. There is also a constantly expanding certification system which features a proctored exams or verified ID diplomas. Moreover, the edX consortium share the achievement on open-source basis. Possibilities offered by the platform attract many educational institutions over the world such as French or Chinese ministries of education. The paper is summarized with student’s and lecturer’s point of view onto the platform’s opportunities.
