Opis:
In conditions of unit and small batch production a very important role is played by time of product availability for the customer. Despite using modern management techniques setup time still play an important role in the production cycle time. In the examined companies the relation between rearmament times to processing times is still high. The above researches inspired the author to prepare the method of setup times’ reduction through proper arrangement of tasks in the operational production plan. Optimization of the daily production plans is based on two-level division of scheduling and arranging tasks. The method was validated in conditions of the production practice for unit and small batch manufacturing. An example of arranging tasks for the laser cutter was given. The presented method is one of elements of the computer aided expert system for SME.

Opis:
In counter-terrorism actions, commanders are confronted with difficult and important challenges. Their decision-making processes follow military instructions and must consider the humanitarian aspect of the mission. In this paper, we aim to respond to the question: What would the casualties be if governmental forces reacted in a given way with given resources? Within a similar context, decision-support systems are required due to the variety and complexity of modern attacks as well as the enormous quantity of information that must be treated in real time. The majority of mathematical models are not suitable for real-time events. Therefore, we propose an analytical model for a time-dependent prediction of terrorist attacks (ATiPreTA). The output of our model is consistent with casualty data from two important terrorist events known in Tunisia: Bardo and Sousse attacks. The sensitivity and experimental analyses show that the results are significant. Some operational insights are also discussed.

Opis:
The paper presents a discussion on the strength criteria and load cases required in the rules of classification societies for direct FEM strength analysis of ship hull structures, which show some differences to each other. The conclusion of it is that detail studies on stress values in ship structures are necessary to improve the requirements. With this end in view an effective method for long-term prediction of stresses in ship hull structure princiŹpal members is proposed. The method is based on the concept of influence coefficients and spectral analysis of wave loads. A FEM model of the principal member system in the form of 3D frame is applied to calculate values of the influence coefficients. Next, the concept is used of correlaŹtion factors for combining characteristic long-term stress values caused by global and local loads, with combined stresses due to general bending of the ship, zone bending of the principal members and local bending of longitudinals. As an example, results of stress prediction and correlation factors calculated in some points of hull structure of a panamax bulk carrier are presented and discussed.

Opis:
The purpose of the study is to identify the groups of cities and counties (NUTS 4), located in an immediate neighborhood and characterized by similar employment structures and paths of their changes. The groups of cities and counties, were found using dynamic classification. Ward method was used to define the number of groups and k-means method was applied for the final classification. The analysis covers the period of ten years (based on the statistical data availability in the Central Statistical Office – Local Data Bank), i.e. the years 2005-2014.
Analiza obejmuje okres 10 lat (2005-2014) i wykorzystano w niej informacje dostępne w Banku Danych Lokalnych GUS.
