Opis:
This paper presents a new OpenFlow controller: the Distributed Active Information Model (DAIM). The DAIM controller was developed to explore the viability of a logically distributed control plane. It is implemented in a distributed way throughout a software-defined network, at the level of the switches. The method enables local process flows, by way of local packet switching, to be controlled by the distributed DAIM controller (as opposed to a centralised OpenFlow controller). The DAIM ecosystem is discussed with some sample code, together with flowcharts of the implemented algorithms. We present implementation details, a testing methodology, and an experimental evaluation. A performance analysis was conducted using the Cbench open benchmarking tool. Comparisons were drawn with respect to throughput and latency. It is concluded that the DAIM controller can handle a high throughput, while keeping the latency relatively low. We believe the results to date are potentially very interesting, especially in light of the fact that a key feature of the DAIM controller is that it is designed to enable the future development of autonomous local flow process and management strategies.

An article herein presents an optimization model, designated for computational core of decision-taking support system (DTSS). DTSS is necessary for system analysis and search of optimal versions for cyber security facilities placement and information protection of an enterprise or organization distributed computational network (DCN). DTSS and a model allow automize the analysis of information protection and cyber security systems in different versions. It is possible to consider, how separate elements, influence at DCN protection factors and their combinations. Offered model, in distinction from existing, has allowed implementing both the principles of information protection equivalency to a concrete threat and a system complex approach to forming a highly effective protection system for DCN. Hereby we have presented the outcomes of computational experiments on selecting the rational program algorithm of implementing the developed optimization model. It has been offered to use genetic algorithm modification (GAM). Based on the offered model, there has been implemented the module for adaptive DTSS. DTSS module might be applied upon designing protected DCN, based on preset architecture and available sets of information protection and cyber security systems in the network.

Opis:
A methodology for development for distributed computer network (DCN) information security system (IS) for an informatization object (OBI) was proposed. It was proposed to use mathematical modeling at the first stage of the methodology. In particular, a mathematical model was presented based on the use of the apparatus of probability theory to calculate the vulnerability coefficient. This coefficient allows one to assess the level of information security of the OBI network. Criteria for assessing the acceptable and critical level of risks for information security were proposed as well. At the second stage of the methodology development of the IS DCN system, methods of simulation and virtualization of the components of the IS DCN were used. In the course of experimental studies, a model of a protected DCN has been built. In the experimental model, network devices and DCN IS components were emulated on virtual machines (VMs). The DCN resources were reproduced using the Proxmox VE virtualization system. IPS Suricata was deployed on RCS hosts running PVE. Splunk was used as SIEM. It has been shown that the proposed methodology for the formation of the IS system for DCN and the model of the vulnerability coefficient makes it possible to obtain a quantitative assessment of the levels of vulnerability of DCN OBI.

In this paper, we use the blockchain technology to design a prototype to secure process data from a 3D-printer. Datastreams are gathered from various sources such as OPC UA servers and autonomous retrofit sensor nodes. This is followed by pre-processing for data reduction, storage in a data model, and the generation of a unique hash value over it. The hash values are stored in a blockchain using appropriate consensus methods, taking into account their temporal origin and production identification number. This also includes the context-related influence of sensor signals on the production process Restrictive access regulations using smart contracts make a partially or fully automated machine tool calibration possible. In this context, we show to realize a process partial or full automation through smart contracts. Physical machine tools and virtual simulations are integrated into the block-chain network to document the stability and performance.

Jako przykład praktyczny zastosowania technologii przedstawiony będzie rozproszony system informowania o nieprawidłowościach pracy urządzeń typu wzorce częstotliwości i czasu w Głównym Urzędzie Miar w Warszawie.
In the paper possibilities of the new network variable technology used for building application of the National Instruments Lab Windows are presented. The writing distributed application with network data exchange using TCPIP protocol (Fig. 1) is frequently difficult [1]. It is often necessary to write programs using multiprocessing or multithreading techniques, which might be a difficult task because it also involves problems like critical sections and deadlocks [4]. The network variable technology introduced by the National Instruments is a new technology which simplifies building distributed application using Lab Windows or Lab View tools. A network variable can be compared with the classic global program variable but shared between many applications across the network. The application must declare variables divided into processes (Fig. 2) and attach to a given variable (or variables) in order to write and read their values - Fig. 3. A practical exemplary use of this technology as a distributed supervision system to inform about problems with the functioning of devices such as the time and frequency standard generator in the Central Office of Measures in Warsaw is presented [5]. The application consists of many program modules supervising certain devices - Figs. 4 and 5. A number of network variables is used to send alert information by means of SMS to the list of declared users - Fig. 6. The Network Variable technology can be perceived as an interesting alternative to other technologies but can be used only with National Instruments applications.

The active distribution network (ADN) represents the future development of distribution networks, whether the islanding phenomenon occurs or not determines the control strategy adopted by the ADN. The best wavelet packet has a better time-frequency characteristic than traditional wavelet analysis in the different signal processing, because it can extract better and more information from the signal effectively. Based on wavelet packet energy and the neural network, the islanding phenomenon of the ADN can be detected. Firstly, the wavelet packet is used to decompose current and voltage signals of the public coupling point between the distributed photovoltaic (PV) system and power grid, and calculate the energy value of each decomposed frequency band. Secondly, the network is trained using the constructed energy characteristic matrix as a neural network learning sample. At last, in order to achieve the function of identification for islanding detection, lots of samples are trained in the neural network. Based on the actual circumstance of PV operation in the ADN, the MATLAB/SIMULINK simulation model of the ADN is established. After the simulation, there are good output results, which show that the method has the characteristics of high identification accuracy and strong generalization ability.

Opis:
A Distributed Sensor Network (DSN) consists of a set of sensors that are interconnected by a communication network. DSN is capable of acquiring and processing signals, communicating, and performing simple computational tasks. Such sensors can detect and collect data concerning any sign of node failure, earthquakes, floods and even a terrorist attack. Energy efficiency and fault-tolerance network control are the most important issues in the development of DSNs. In this work, two methods of fault tolerance are proposed: fault detection and recovery to achieve fault tolerance using Bayesian Networks (BNs). Bayesian Network is used to aid reasoning and decision making under uncertainty. The main objective of this work is to provide fault tolerance mechanism which is energy efficient and responsive to network using BNs. It is also used to detect energy depletion of node, link failure between nodes, and packet error in DSN. The proposed model is used to detect faults at node, sink and network level faults (link failure and packet error). The proposed fault recovery model is used to achieve fault tolerance by adjusting the network of the randomly deployed sensor nodes based on of its probabilities. Finally, the performance parameters for the proposed scheme are evaluated.

Distributed Sensor Networks (DSNs) have attracted significant attention over the past few years. A growing list of many applications can employ DSNs for increased effectiveness especially in hostile and remote are as. In all application salargen umber of sensors are expected and requiring careful architecture and management of the net work. Grouping nodes in toclusters has been the most popular approach for support scalability in DSN. This paper proposes acluster based optimization of routing in DSN by employing a Bayesi an network (BN) with Tabu search (TS) approach. BN based approach is used to select efficient cluster head sand construction of BN for the proposed scheme. This approach in corporates energy level of each node, band width and link efficiency. The optimization of routing is considered as a design issue in DSN due to lack of energy consumption, delay and maximum time required for data transmission between source nodes (cluster heads) to sink node. In this work optimization of routing takes place through cluster head nodes by using TS. Simulations have been conducted to compare the performance of the proposed approach with LEACH protocol. The objective of the proposed work is to improve the performance of network in terms of energy consumption, through put, packet delivery ratio, and time efficiency of optimization of routing. The results hows that the proposed approach perform better than LEACH protocol that utilizes minimum energy, latency for cluster formation and reduce over head of the protocol.

The inverse problem of identifying the friction coefficient in an isothermal semilinear Euler system is considered. Adopting a Bayesian approach, the goal is to identify the distribution of the quantity of interest based on a finite number of noisy measurements of the pressure at the boundaries of the domain. First wellposedness of the underlying non-linear PDE system is shown using semigroup theory, and then Lipschitz continuity of the solution operator with respect to the friction coefficient is established. Based on the Lipschitz property, well-posedness of the resulting Bayesian inverse problem for the identification of the friction coefficient is inferred. Numerical tests for scalar and distributed parameters are performed to validate the theoretical results.

In this article, an approximation of the spatiotemporal response of a distributed parameter system (DPS) with the use of the principal component analysis (PCA) is considered. Based on a data obtained by the numerical solution of a set of partial differential equations, a PCA-based approximation procedure is performed. It consists in the projection of the original data into the subspace spanned by the eigenvectors of the data covariance matrix, corresponding to its highest eigenvalues. The presented approach is carried out using both the classical PCA method as well as two different neural network structures: two-layer feed-forward network with supervised learning (FF-PCA) and single-layer network with unsupervised, generalized Hebbian learning rule (GHA-PCA). In each case considered, the effect of the approximation model structure represented by the number of eigenvectors (or, in the neural case, units in the network projection layer) on the mean square approximation error of the spatiotemporal response and on the data compression ratio is analysed. As shown in the paper, the best approximation quality is obtained for the classical PCA method as well as for the FF-PCA neural approach. On the other hand, an adaptive learning method for the GHA-PCA network allows to use it in e.g. an on-line identification scheme.

In this paper, a control strategy for real-time operation of a master-slave controlled microgrid is developed. The basic idea of this control strategy is to schedule all dispatchable energy sources available into a microgrid to minimize its operational costs. Control actions are centrally evaluated by solving a two-stage optimization problem formulated to take place on two different time-scales: in the day-ahead and in the real-time. The first one provides a 24-hour plan in advance. It mainly draws up the active power levels that Distributed Energy Resources (DERs) should provide for each quarter hour of the next day by taking into account energy prices of the day-ahead energy market, the forecasted energy production of non-dispatchable renewables and loads. The real-time optimization problem updates the active power set-points of DERs in order to minimize as much as possible the real-time deviations between the actual power exchanged with the utility grid and its scheduled value. The effectiveness of the proposed methodology has been experimentally tested on an actual microgrid.

In this paper, the design issue of effective damping of electromechanical swings in a medium voltage network with distributed generation by the use of a PSS2A type power system stabiliser is described. This stabiliser was installed in the generating unit with the highest rated power. Time constants of correction blocks, as well as the main gain, were determined by analyzing a single-machine system, generating unit – infinite bus. The time constants were calculated on the basis of the frequency-phase transfer functions both of the electromagnetic moment to the voltage regulator reference voltage and of the generator voltage to the voltage regulator reference voltage, under the assumption of an infinite and real value of the generating unit inertia time constant for various initial generator loads. The main stabiliser gain was calculated by analyzing the position, on the complex plane, of eigenvalues of the state matrix of the single-machine system, linearised around a steady operating point, at the changed value of this gain.

The rapid development of distributed control systems has caused the necessity of knowledge and understanding of communication network in a process of a dynamic system modelling and controller synthesis. A lot of work has been done to determine the suitability of dedicated networks for data transmission in control systems. This paper is an approach in the problem of control of a remote system over the Internet. The work is an attempt to model and simulate a transmission network characteristics, taking into account the delay introduced by the network. Additionally, the experiment was conducted on a real network to determine the applicability of the Internet in distributed control systems.

Opis:
As the capacity and scale of distribution networks continue to expand, and distributed generation technology is increasingly mature, the traditional fault location is no longer applicable to an active distribution network and "two-way" power flow structure. In this paper, a fault location method based on Karrenbauer transform and support vector machine regression (SVR) is proposed. Firstly, according to the influence of Karrenbauer transformation on phase angle difference before and after section fault in a low-voltage active distribution network, the fault regions and types are inferred preliminarily. Then, in the feature extraction stage, combined with the characteristics of distribution network fault mechanism, the fault feature sample set is established by using the phase angle difference of the Karrenbauer current. Finally, the fault category prediction model based on SVR was established to solve the problem of a single-phase mode transformation modulus and the indistinct identification of two-phase short circuits, then more accurate fault segments and categories were obtained. The proposed fault location method is simulated and verified by building a distribution network system model. The results show that compared with other methods in the field of fault detection, the fault location accuracy of the proposed method can reach 98.56%, which can enhance the robustness of rapid fault location.

Opis:
In order to optimise the operation state of the distribution network in the presence of distributed generation (DG), to reduce network loss, balance load and improve power quality in the distribution system, a multi-objective fruit fly optimisation algorithm based on population Manhattan distance (pmdMOFOA) is presented. Firstly, the global and local exploration abilities of a fruit fly optimisation algorithm (FOA) are balanced by combining population Manhattan distance (PMD) and the dynamic step adjustment strategy to solve the problems of its weak local exploration ability and proneness to premature convergence. At the same time, Chebyshev chaotic mapping is introduced during position update of the fruit fly population to improve ability of fruit flies to escape the local optimum and avoid premature convergence. In addition, the external archive selection strategy is introduced to select the best individual in history to save in external archives according to the dominant relationship amongst individuals. The leader selection strategy, external archive update and maintenance strategy are proposed to generate a Pareto optimal solution set iteratively. Lastly, an optimal reconstruction scheme is determined by the fuzzy decision method. Compared with the standard FOA, the average convergence algebra of a pmdMOFOA is reduced by 44.58%. The distribution performance of non-dominated solutions of a pmdMOFOA, MOFOA, NSGA-III and MOPSO on the Pareto front is tested, and the results show that the pmdMOFOA has better diversity. Through the simulation and analysis of a typical IEEE 33-bus system with DG, load balance and voltage offset after reconfiguration are increased by 23.77% and 40.58%, respectively, and network loss is reduced by 57.22%, which verifies the effectiveness and efficiency of the proposed method.

Opis:
Wireless sensor network is a dynamic field of networking and communication because of its increasing demand in critical Industrial and Robotics applications. Clustering is the technique mainly used in the WSN to deal with large load density for efficient energy conservation. Formation of number of duplicate clusters in the clustering algorithm decreases the throughput and network lifetime of WSN. To deal with this problem, advance distributive energy-efficient adaptive clustering protocol with sleep/wake scheduling algorithm (DEACP-S/W) for the selection of optimal cluster head is presented in this paper. The presented sleep/wake cluster head scheduling along with distributive adaptive clustering protocol helps in reducing the transmission delay by properly balancing of load among nodes. The performance of algorithm is evaluated on the basis of network lifetime, throughput, average residual energy, packet delivered to the base station (BS) and CH of nodes. The results are compared with standard LEACH and DEACP protocols and it is observed that the proposed protocol performs better than existing algorithms. Throughput is improved by 8.1% over LEACH and by 2.7% over DEACP. Average residual energy is increased by 6.4% over LEACH and by 4% over DEACP. Also, the network is operable for nearly 33% more rounds compared to these reference algorithms which ultimately results in increasing lifetime of the Wireless Sensor Network.

Opis:
Since the last turn of the century, the image of medium-voltage power networks operations has changed. The main reason for the change was to enable the generation units connection to it as a distributed generation. The current problem is the possibility of connecting energy stores. The article gives an example of the use of energy storage in the electric distribution network that operates with the generation unit as distributed generation. The simplified case analysis results in preliminary design algorithms for medium voltage power grid control with energy storages.
Z uproszczonej analizy przypadku wynikają wstępne wytyczne do konstruowania algorytmów sterowania pracą elektroenergetycznej sieci średniego napięcia z magazynami energii.
