Opis:
The social sciences in the recent past have become quite specialized in terms of the problems and responses covered in their purview. The origin of Criminology as specialized branch of learning was a part of similar process. Early Criminology better known as classical criminology emerged as part of protest against the prejudiced and discriminating legal practices that were prevalent in the contemporary society of the early eighteenth century. The leaders of criminal justice reforms were Baccaria and Bentham who demanded the reforms in the law and procedure. Afterwards Criminology has grown to be an advanced field of learning and practice. Emphasis in Criminology, in the interpretation of crime and criminality, has been changing over a period of time. The schools of thoughts in Criminology have been moving from classical to physiological, environmental to psychological and sociological to interactionist approaches and so on. Criminology has been defined as the study of crime, the causes of crime (etiology), the meaning of crime in terms of law, and community reaction to crime. Not too long ago, criminology separated from its mother discipline, sociology, and although there are some historical continuities, it has since developed habits and methods of thinking about crime and criminal behavior that are uniquely its own. Criminology is hence perceived as a most inclusive concept. Criminology involves the inputs from all basic disciplines in social and behavioural sciences in explaining the problem of and response to crime (Jatar, 1979).

Opis:
Changing society causes growing uncertainty about the directions of education. It becomes increasingly difficult to answer the question: what shall we teach? Despite the growing uncertainty, the number of people undertaking studies at university is still on the increase. Humanities and social sciences are continuously of a great interest to young people. They very often decide to study education, however, they do not always realize the essence of this discipline. The objective of this paper is to search the answer to the question: what – in students’ opinion – is hidden behind the name „education”? Whether the students’ knowledge is of a scientific character or it is rather common knowledge?
Zmieniające się społeczeństwo powoduje narastającą niepewność co do kierunków kształcenia. Coraz trudniej odnaleźć odpowiedź na pytanie: ku czemu mamy kształcić? Pomimo narastającej niepewności nieustannie odnotowujemy wzrost liczby osób podejmujących studia. Nadal dużym zainteresowaniem cieszą się nauki humanistyczne i społeczne. Młodzi ludzie chętnie decydują się na studiowanie pedagogiki, chociaż nie zawsze mają wyobrażenie czym się ta dyscyplina nauki zajmuje. Celem tekstu jest poszukanie odpowiedzi na pytanie: co – zdaniem studentów – kryje się pod hasłem „pedagogika”? Czy wiedza, którą posiadają ma charakter naukowy czy też zbliżona jest do wiedzy potocznej?

The main aim of this paper is to analyse the image and policy directions of Vladimir Putin in social media before the 2018 presidential elections that he won. The official Twitter channel in English version was traversed in this paper. The presidential campaign of Vladimir Putin on Twitter in 2018 was very gentle. The leader strategy, which was adopted, ensured his outright victory. The most commonly raised issues before the presidential elections in Russia concerned international partnerships, military issues, army and arms. Information concerning private life was not used in the pictures and in the paper. He had condoled, wished and congratulated – the widely promoted image of a charismatic leader was broken down by friendly gestures. The figure of president was exposed in pictures. The most posted pictures of the President were pictures of him surrounded by common people, workers and politicians. His attire and body language underlined a professional approach.

This study focuses on digital games that have become powerful persuasion tools which can be utilized for political marketing purposes. The authors believe that these media have to be thoroughly explored, because of the great potential of these platforms to become very useful tools for setting up political messages and the outreach capacity to the voting segment being difficult to achieve if only traditional media are used. The paper provides a set of theoretical views on political marketing in digital games. There are many examples analyzed in the paper, proving that the techniques of political marketing can create big benefits and that they can help politicians achieve their goals. So, we hypothesized a new phase of political marketing, underpinned by the utilization of digital games. As a methodology, we used content analysis of various digital games. The aim of this paper is to offer a better understanding of the benefits of political marketing campaigns in the digital gaming industry and to explore the role and impact of these techniques, as well as to provide potential future directions of this form of marketing.

The first will be presentation the subject of research in Christian pedagogy and the circumstances of the founding of the Cathedral; in the second will be presented research direction run by employees of Department; in the third the dissemination of research results will be presented.

It is expected that people from all over the world will visit Ukraine after its victory in the war against Russian aggression, turning Ukraine into a world-popular tourist destination. Hence, Ukrainian egislation on tourism must be improved in the post-war period. The authors analysed the current legislation on tourism in Ukraine and identified major problems that must be addressed systematically and those that should be settled in the post-war period in view of the post-war humanitarian, socio-economic, institutional, and cultural challenges. In this context, the authors proposed a set of changes to improve Ukraine’s legislation on tourism on the national and institutional levels. Such changes should positively impact other socio-economic processes of reconstruction in post-war Ukraine.

The results of this study substantiate and compare the trends observed in the global labour market and the corresponding trends in the Ukrainian labour market in 2017–2022. With regard to the annual trend specification, this study has established the extent to which the Ukrainian labour market participants focus on the key areas of its development and has identified the problematic aspects that hinder the socio-economic recovery of the country. These findings have important implications for substantiating the course for the strategic development of the Ukrainian labour market, which should form the base for enhancing both life quality for the population and the socio-economic growth of the country.

Opis:
Statistic analysis of the bed orientation in the Magura and Silesian Nappes was performed in order to establish the directions of regional fold axes. On this ground, variations of the main horizontal stress directions were inferred for both nappes. In the Late Oligocene, in the foreland of the northwards moving Adriatic Microplate, a fan-like pattern of the 1 stress trajectories was formed. Initiation of the Magura Nappe and the related regional folds began in such conditions. Evolution of the regional compression involved clockwise rotation from S-N to SW-NE direction. The rotation was caused by the Early Miocene oblique collision of the Carpathian Orogen with the East European Platform. The pattern of fold axes in the Silesian Nappe reflects this rotation.

In the context of current education reforms carried out at various levels of education, it is im-portant to ask about high quality and child friendly preschool education. As stated by Klim- -Klimaszewska, “preschool education in Poland is the first stage of education system. Its main task is not only to help parents in mentoring and education of children, but first of all to stimulate their comprehensive development and school preparation” (Klim-Klimaszewska, 2012, p. 9). At the level of preschool education we observed multidimensional transformations that aimed at new approach to the theory and paradigms of education, which serves improvement of effectiveness of children’s education.

In this concluding paper to the special issue (SI) we seek to achieve three main goals. First, based on the papers it included in the SI, other recent publications as well as our own ideas, we point to the future directions of research into language learning strategies. Second, we comment upon the methodological issues that such research inevitably has to face, stressing in particular the need to combine a macro-and micro-perspective. Third, we emphasize the pedagogical orientation of such empirical investigations and make a plea for intensive efforts on the part of specialists to find ways in which the findings of LLS research can in fact inform classroom pedagogy.

Współczesna logistyka nie tylko musi nadążać za współczesnymi zmianami, ale w wielu wypadkach je wyprzedzać, spełniając oczekiwania swoich klientów. Stałym elementem działalności logistycznej powinno być badanie i prognozowanie zmian. Wymaga to jednak nie tylko dostrzeżenia nowych uwarunkowań i nowych wyzwań dla logistyki, ale ich wieloaspektowej analizy, zrozumienia wzajemnych realizacji i oddziaływania. Takie podejście służyć będzie budowaniu nowych koncepcji logistycznych, które w pełni wykorzystywać będą nowe pojawiające się możliwości wynikające z rosnącego tempa rozwoju technologicznego określanego mianem „rewolucji technologicznej”. Jakie będą najistotniejsze uwarunkowania tych koncepcji i kierunki ewolucji – trudno jednoznacznie określić - warto jednak zwrócić uwagę na kilka z nich. Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie w sposób syntetyczny wybranych trendów i kierunków rozwoju polskiej logistyki ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem roli innowacyjności w jej rozwoju, w tym implementacji najnowszych zdobyczy techniki i technologii teleinformatycznych.
Logistics not only must keep pace with today's changes, but in many cases, stay ahead of them, meeting the expectations of its clients. A constant element of the logistics activities becomes studying and forecasting changes. However, this requires not only noticing the new circumstances and new challenges for logistics, but also multiple analysis and understanding mutual implementation and interaction. This approach will serve to build new logistics concepts that fully utilize new emerging opportunities arising from the increasing pace of technological development known as "technological revolution". It is difficult to explicitly determine what the most important determinants of these concepts and directions of evolution will be, however, a few of them are worth paying attention to. The aim of the article is to present a concise selected trends and directions of development of Polish logistics with particular emphasis on the role of innovation in its development, including the implementation of the latest technology and ICT.

This paper discusses the role of language in internal corporate communication. It is divided into two parts. The first part focuses on the organisational aspects of corporate communication, in particular internal corporate communication. It presents various organisational strategies of corporations which influence how employees communicate. Additionally, communication directions, structures and networks are elaborated on. The second part of this paper deals with aspects of language that are of significance for the functioning of formal and informal communication networks. It is demonstrated that formal communication and informal communication are intertwined, and language has great impact on communicative interactions and collaboration in international settings. Undoubtedly English is considered a common language in intercultural business communication, and its characteristics as a business lingua franca are presented in this paper. However, communication in business lingua franca English may negatively influence communication in international business settings, in particular when native speakers of English act as communicators. Therefore, it is argued that knowledge of and skills to use other languages may facilitate building and maintaining formal and informal communication networks. This paper elaborates on limitations and advantages of applying English and languages other than English in internal corporate communication.
