    Opis:
    The article presents issues concerning the project of creation of the Atlas of East Slavic dialects of Bialystok Region (Atlas gwar wschodniosłowiańskich Białostocczyzny – AGWB) and its realization. The crucial issues are shown from linguistic, information and computer points of view, taking into account the special features of dialectal material. Information referring to the Atlas of East Slavic dialects of Bialystok Region, a publication significant for Slavic linguistic geography, is also presented. The consecutive stages of preparing the base, i.a. preliminary choice of computer tools, suggested database structure, its subsequent modifications along with the ER model and initial stages of system implementation (export of data, the choice of database administration system), are presented in the text. The problem of creation/modification of the phonetic alphabet (socalled ZRCola typeface vs. AGWB typeface) and the aspect of sorting data saved in this alphabet constitute separate issues for consideration. Modifications of data representation system in relation to the initial objec tives are discussed in the article, taking into account the future needs of users (connection with GoogleMaps application, hipermedial connections with the system of scanned source materials, etc.).

    Archiwum Archidiecezjalne Lubelskie przechowuje zbiór ok. 11 tys. fotografii pochodzących z XIX, XX i XXI stulecia. Zbiór ten jest na etapie porządkowania archiwalnego. Nie ma on jeszcze właściwego inwentarza. Na potrzeby wewnętrzne istnieją tylko odpowiednie spisy robocze. Zbiór podzielony jest w porządku akcesji na albumy, kroniki, teczki, koperty i pudła archiwalne. Znacząca część fotografii wchodzi w skład akt personalnych i parafialnych. Zdjęcia są tylko w niewielkim stopniu zdigitalizowane. Ich cyfrowe kopie tworzy się w sposób niesystematyczny, głównie z przeznaczeniem na bieżące wystawy i przygotowywane publikacje. Zbiór fotograficzny cieszy się wzrastającym zainteresowaniem, dlatego pomimo stanu opracowania i przechowywania jest udostępniany. Zawiera on ciekawe obiekty, np. obszerną kolekcję zdjęć zgromadzonych na potrzeby prowadzonych procesów beatyfikacyjnych.
    The Lublin Archdiocesan Archives store a collection of approximately 11,000 photographs from the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries. This collection still has to be put in order to respect fully all archival standards. It does not have a proper inventory yet. For internal purposes, only simple lists of photographs have been created. The collection is divided, according to the order of accession, into albums, chronicles, folders, envelopes and archival boxes. A significant part of the photographs finds its place in the personal and parish files. The photographs are digitalized to a very small extent. Their digital copies are prepared in an unsystematic way, mainly for the ad hoc purposes of current exhibitions and planned publications. Nevertheless, the photographic collection attracts increasing interest and is made available to public. The collection includes interesting objects, such as an extensive group of photos gathered for the purpose of beatification processes.

    Recently in Poland, there have been conducted activities promoting research work conducted by legal historians. They include digitizing and making archival sources available in digital form. First and foremost, digital copies of civil registry files, record books, files of administrative bodies and family archives are made. For any researcher dealing with the law of the Kingdom of Poland, the digitalization of files of central administration bodies, acts of territorial administration bodies, civil status records and notarial deeds is of utmost importance. Digital copies of archives are, among others, available on the Internet. This is a great convenience for legal historians: it not only shortens the time of reaching sources and allows one to read their content, but also contributes to a significant reduction in the cost of running a source query, due to the lack of the necessity to go to the archive. Making digital copies available on various websites is very time-consuming and it requires considerable financial resources, but allows one to conduct source queries on an unprecedented scale. It is an invaluable support for legal historians and can contribute to the development of this scientific discipline.
    W ostatnich latach podejmowane są w Polsce działania sprzyjające pracy badawczej prowadzonej przez historyków prawa. Polegają one na digitalizacji i udostępnianiu w formie cyfrowej źródeł archiwalnych. W pierwszej kolejności sporządza się kopie cyfrowe akt stanu cywilnego, ksiąg metrykalnych, akt organów administracji oraz archiwów rodzinnych. Dla badacza zajmującego się prawem sądowym Królestwa Polskiego najistotniejsza jest digitalizacja akt organów administracji centralnej, akt organów administracji terytorialnej, akt stanu cywilnego i aktów notarialnych. Kopie cyfrowe archiwaliów są między innymi udostępniane w Internecie. Stanowi to wielkie ułatwienie dla historyków prawa: nie tylko skraca czas dotarcia do źródeł i pozwala zapoznać się z ich treścią, ale przyczynia się również do znacznego obniżenia kosztów prowadzenia kwerendy źródłowej, w związku z brakiem konieczności udawania się do siedziby archiwum. Udostępnianie kopii cyfrowych na stronach archiwów oraz na innych portalach jest bardzo czasochłonne i wymaga znacznych środków finansowych, ale pozwala na prowadzenie kwerendy źródłowej na niespotykaną dotychczas skalę. Jest nieocenionym wsparciem dla historyków prawa i może przyczynić się do rozwoju tej dyscypliny naukowej.

    This text contains information about the Qualitative Data Archive at the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology PAS (QDA) [Archiwum Danych Jakościowych przy IFiS PAN - ADJ; adj.ifispan.pl], which collects and digitalizes databases from a broad range of research in the social sciences and makes them accessible online. The archive was established with the idea of preserving material of a qualitative nature. There were two main aims: to initiate new methods of research using the collected resources and to stimulate theoretical and methodological reflection on the idea of archivization, renewed analysis of data, and various other forms of revisiting research. The creators of the archive have managed to save and digitalize considerable amounts of material derived from studies that are by now historical and are important for Polish sociology and anthropology. The Qualitative Data Archive also contains collections of materials from quite recent studies, which have often been processed in electronic form. For these, the QDA functions as a platform where researchers can present their analyses and findings more widely and in a secure form both for themselves and for their respondents.
