Opis:
This paper presents a possibility of applying modelling and simulation in logistic processes management and design in production enterprises. New functionalities of the modelling software, especially those connected with analysing material and information flow, are already necessary for designing and evaluating complex logistic systems. The possibilities of modelling and simulation with the use of the CET Table system are illustrated by practical example.

Opis:
Manufacturing companies operate on data from production, operation and trade. The strategy of creating and collecting data at the centre of production processes has significantly improved in recent years. Manufacturers are now collecting and storing vast amounts of data from their manufacturing facilities, both online and offline, from multiple geographic locations and with a growing number of separate data repositories. The design of workplaces and products continues to migrate from paper to the computer, where analysis accuracy, visualization, and collaboration utilities allow designs to be realized much faster and better than ever before. As the pace of this development accelerates with the increased capabilities of the software design tools, less time is spent on physical prototyping, allowing for shortened time-to-market for new products. Ergonomists, who in the past used the physical prototypes to perform human factors analyses, are now challenged to move the analysis into the virtual domain using new tools and methods. Usability, maintainability, physical ergonomic assessments, psychological perception, and procedural training are some of the human factors issues that might benefit from analysis prior to the first physical incarnation of the design.

Opis:
During the years common understanding of the possibilities and perspectives of Virtual Reality (VR) usage has been changed. It is thought that VR is mainly used in entertainment purposes, but it is being used already for many years in different industries, and now with easier access to the hardware it became a helpful and accessible tool that could be used and developed in any field of human activities. In manufacturing, immersive technologies are mainly used nowadays for the visualisation of processes and products combining those visuals into the factory Digital Twin (DT) which is possible to view from the inside look. This feature is already being used in several manufacturing simulation tools, which enable to view onto industrial line / robotic cells via Virtual Reality glasses. However, the potential of using simulations with VR in manufacturing is not fully uncovered. The main aim of this, industrial robotics targeted research is to enable besides simulation also universal control algorithms through Virtual Reality experience, produced by game engine Unity3D, which can be easily modified for a wide range of industrial equipment. The primary outcome of this work is the development of the synchronisation model of real and virtual industrial robots and experimental testing the developed model in Virtual Reality and shop floor labs.

Opis:
The main focus of this article is the reflection upon the contemporary changes (paradigm shift) within labour modalities, both in the context of defining and understanding the contemporary concept of labour, as well as its modes of organisation within new dynamic environment of global ‘digital economy’. The starting point refers to the dynamics of ‘disruptive changes’ evoked by information-communication revolution, that fundamentally change (transform) simultaneously: economic, social and cultural sphere, evoking the effect of interference (unintended consequences) difficult to predict. This results in paradigm change within analysis of the contemporary changes in labour modalities, transition from classical approach focused on the structural changes within the economy (described in terms of transition from fordist to post-fordist modes of labour) to post-modern approach with new paradigm of immaterial labour (2.0) as a result of fundamental changes within technology (digital disruption). This article mainly focus on the emergence of new concepts of ‘immaterial work’ (Lazzarato; Hardt and Negri), ‘digital labour’ (Fuchs; Dyer-Witheford, Scholz) and ‘labour 2.0’ (Cote, Pybus), indicating fundamental changes within the nature of work itself, currently based on digital, social and intellectual competences (transition from physical work based on industrial processing of physical goods and services to digital and cognitive work, processing mainly immaterial goods : information, knowledge, symbols) and its consequences within economy, social relations and culture (contemporary lifestyle/ identity). To start with, first part of the article focus on the broader context of the assumed ‘radical change’, evoked by ITC revolution, described by many scientific disciplines in terms of ‘paradigm change’, bringing the interdisciplinary context necessary to understand this phenomena. Second describes new concept of ‘immaterial work’, fully discussed by M. Lazzarato (1996, 2004) Hardt and Negri (2000, 2004), and more recently by Fuchs (2010), Dyer-Witheford (2010), Scholz (2012), both in the context of defining and understanding notion of immaterial labour, as well as its modes of organisation within dynamic environment of global economy, bringing forth the transition from classical, stable modes of employment to more flexible forms of employment (flexicurity), mainly on the basis of the unstable employment model(s). Third part, brings the conclusion noted within second part, underlying (often unintended) consequences coming from the emergence of ‘immaterial work’, or (digital) ‘labour 2.0’, in form of increasing inequality and asymmetry (enormous disparities), in terms of accumulation of wealth (capital) and power (defined in terms of access to diverse social, cultural and digital experiences or required skills or qualifications), evoking the notion of ‘precarity’: symbol of fragile and precarious existence of constantly increasing number of the world's population (Neilson, Rossiter 2008).

Opis:
Background: The study focuses on simplified make-and-pack production in the sugar industry as a case study. The analyzed system is characterized by parallel packing lines, which share one resource with a sequence-independent setup time. Additionally, the special characteristics that occur in many enterprises make scheduling difficult. The special characteristics of the system are the simultaneous occurrence of a variable input stream, scheduling of processes, and including the reliability of machines. Due to the variability of the input parameters, it is appropriate to consider the use of Digital Twin, which is a virtual representation of the real processes' performance. Therefore, this purpose of the paper is two-fold. First, an analysis of sequence determination of the stream-splitting machine was performed with taking into account the impact of logistics system reliability on system performance. Second, the concept of implementing Digital Twin in the analyzed production process is presented. Methods: The mathematical model for line efficiency was developed on the presented make-and-pack production presented in the selected sugar industry. Different sequences of stream-splitting machines were studied to examine the system's efficiency, availability, and utilization of packaging lines. Two scenarios were investigated with the use of computer simulation. Results: Computer simulation experiments were performed to investigate the sequencing and planning of packaging line problems. The results obtained for the case company indicated a significant dependence between the preferred packing sequence and the operational parameters. Conclusions: The simulations confirm the influence of internal and external factors on sugar line packaging processes. The main advantage of the developed simulation model is identifying the relationship between the size of the input stream and the system's availability level, as well as identifying the main constraints on the possibility of implementing the DT concept in the analyzed company.
