    The article presents the diagnostic and analytical results of the research on higher school teachers’ competence at Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University (Ukraine). Theoretical and methodological analysis is carried out and the content of three competence profiles of lecturers in higher education is defined: professional and pedagogical, social and personal, academic, reflecting the main areas of the lecturer’s activity. Diagnostic tools of qualitative assessment of teachers’ competence components in each of the profiles are developed. The study allowed for revealing the development of certain lecturer competences according to the identified profiles: innovative, digital, management (professional and pedagogical profile), leadership, civic (social and personal profile), research, international cooperation, and scientific PR (academic profile). The results of the diagnosis are the basis for the development and implementation of a system of measures for increasing the quality and standardization activities of higher education lecturers at the institutional, national and European levels. The article provides appropriate recommendations.

    The article focuses on the issue of teacher’s diagnostic competence. In order to emphasize the importance of the issue and to encourage scientifi c discussion, the value of the contemporary teacher’s pedagogical competences was pointed out, among which diagnostic competence was highlighted. Then the importance of diagnostic competence in working with the student and the consequences of its lack, which is the student’s marginalization, were determined. The conclusions indicate the implications for educational practice.
    W prezentowanym artykule skoncentrowano się na zagadnieniu kompetencji diagnostycznej nauczyciela. Aby podkreślić ważność poruszanego zagadnienia i zachęcić do naukowej dyskusji, wskazano na wartość kompetencji pedagogicznych współczesnego nauczyciela, wyeksponowano wśród nich kompetencję diagnostyczną, a następnie określono jej znaczenie w pracy z uczniem oraz konsekwencje jej braku, jaką jest marginalizacja ucznia. W konkluzjach wskazano implikacje dla praktyki edukacyjnej.

    The article concerns the self-awareness of diagnostic competence of early childhood education teachers in the field of identifying students' risk of facing specific difficulties in learning mathematics. Modern times impose on the teacher increasingly complex tasks, requiring new professional competence, which includes incorporating new teaching methods, methodological considerations, and new professional performance quality. That, in turn, raises the questions concerning the state of preparation of early childhood education teachers to recognize and meet the developmental and educational needs of the student resulting from specific difficulties in learning mathematics as well as the competencies they need and should develop. The overriding goal of the author's research was to find answers to these questions using the diagnostic survey method with the survey technique conducted among 112 early childhood education teachers. In this article, only one aspect of the research is presented, which refers to teachers' self-awareness of the discussed competences. Based on the conducted study, we can conclude that the examined teachers of early education feel prepared to conduct pedagogical activities aimed at recognizing in their students the risk of developing specific difficulties in learning mathematics.
    Artykuł dotyczy samooceny kompetencji diagnostycznych nauczycieli wczesnej edukacji w zakresie ryzyka wystąpienia u uczniów specyficznych trudności w nauce matematyki. Współczesność nakłada na nauczyciela coraz bardziej złożone zadania, wymagające kompetencji zawodowych, które będą obejmować nowe rodzaje metod nauczania, uwarunkowania metodyczne i nową jakość wykonywania zawodu. To z kolei rodzi pytania dotyczące stanu przygotowania nauczycieli wczesnej edukacji do rozpoznawania i zaspokajania potrzeb rozwojowych i edukacyjnych ucznia wynikających ze specyficznych trudności w nauce matematyki oraz kompetencji nauczycieli w tym zakresie i ich rozwoju zawodowego. Nadrzędnym celem badań autorki było znalezienie odpowiedzi na te pytania dzięki zastosowaniu metody sondażu diagnostycznego z techniką ankietową przeprowadzonego wśród 112 nauczycieli wczesnej edukacji. W niniejszym artykule został omówiony jeden z badanych aspektów, jakim była samoocena nauczycieli wczesnej edukacji w zakresie stopnia przygotowania do rozpoznania u uczniów ryzyka wystąpienia określonych trudności w uczeniu się matematyki. Na podstawie zebranych danych można wnioskować, że osoby badane czują się w zadowalającym stopniu przygotowane do prowadzenia zajęć pedagogicznych mających na celu rozpoznanie wspomnianych trudności u uczniów.

    The article presents a fragment of the results of diagnostic-correlative research of quantitative/qualitative character, related to information competence of teachers in the area of application of ICT methods and tools in the context of new trends in technology and the accompanying civilizational transformations. Considered issues seeking answers to the question of determining the reasons for which teachers in their professional practice do not use ICT tools. It highlights the conditions constructing the circumstances in which teachers do not take action to promote the application of ICT in the teaching and upbringing process.

Poszukuje odpowiedzi na pytanie określające skutki stosowania ICT przez dzieci i młodzież (poziom istotności oddziaływań nowych mediów) w obszarze operowania informacją. Zastosowano metodę sondażu diagnostycznego (ankietę i wywiad) oraz metody statystyczne (test niezależności chi-kwadrat i współczynnik korelacji Pearsona). Zbadano 2510 uczniów i 1110 nauczycieli. Ustalono, że: 1) według zagregowanej hierarchii ważności oddziaływań ICT, operowaniu informacją i uczniowie i nauczycie nadali największą wagę (miejsce pierwsze); 2) istnieje wyraźny związek (korelacja: bardzo wysoka, dodatnia, pozytywna – r = 0,89) pomiędzy opinią uczniów a spostrzeżeniami nauczycieli, co do skutków korzystania przez dzieci i młodzież z ICT przejawiających się rozwojem umiejętności operowania informacją; 3) obliczenia czynników różnicujących wykazały istotne różnice statystyczne pomiędzy skutkami oddziaływań ICT na dzieci i młodzież w zakresie szybkości poszukiwania, selekcjonowania i wartościowania informacji a: płcią, etapem kształcenia i miejscem nauki uczniów; 4) zauważalne jest znaczące podobieństwo między opinią uczniów a nauczycieli – nieznaczne „odseparowanie” świata dzieci i młodzieży („My”) od świata nauczycieli („Oni”).
    The article presents a fragment of diagnostic-correlative research of a mixed character, identifying pupils’ information literacy in the use of ICT methods and tools. The author aim to answer the question defining the effects of using ICT by children and teenagers (the level of significance of the impact of new media) in the area of information handling. The method of diagnostic survey (questionnaire and interview) and statistical methods (chi-square test of independence and Pearson's correlation coefficient) were used. Together, 2510 pupils and 1110 teachers were involved. It was established that: 1) according to the aggregate hierarchy of importance of ICT interactions, both students and teachers gave the greatest importance (first place) to information handling; 2) there is a clear relationship (correlation: very high, positive, – r = 0.89) between the students' opinions and teachers' perceptions regarding the effects of using ICT by children and teenagers, which are manifested by the development of information handling skills; 3) calculations of differentiating factors showed significant statistical differences between the effects of ICT impact on children and teenagers in terms of the speed of searching, selecting and evaluating information and: gender, stage of education and students’ place of learning; 4) there is a significant similarity between the opinions of students and teachers – slight “separation” of the world of children and youth (“Us”) from the world of teachers (“Them”).

Cel badań: Poszukuje odpowiedzi na pytanie określające skutki stosowania ICT przez dzieci i młodzież (poziom istotności oddziaływań nowych mediów) w obszarze kształtowania kreatywności i umiejętności współpracy. Metoda badań: Zastosowano metodę sondażu diagnostycznego (ankietę i wywiad) oraz metody statystyczne (test niezależności chi-kwadrat i współczynnik korelacji Pearsona). Wyniki: Ustalono, że: 1) według zagregowanej hierarchii ważności oddziaływań ICT, rozwojowi kreatywności i współpracy uczniowie nadali bardzo dużą wagę (miejsce drugie), a nauczyciele dużą wagę (miejsce trzecie); 2) istnieje związek (korelacja: słaba, ujemna, negatywna – r = -0,03) pomiędzy opinią uczniów a spostrzeżeniami nauczycieli, co do skutków korzystania przez dzieci i młodzież z ICT przejawiających się rozwojem twórczych postaw i umiejętności pracy grupowej; 3) obliczenia czynników różnicujących wykazały istotne różnice statystyczne pomiędzy skutkami oddziaływań ICT na dzieci i młodzież w zakresie rozwoju kreatywności i współpracy a etapem kształcenia uczniów. Wnioski: Zauważalny jest rozdźwięk między opinią uczniów a nauczycieli, niepokojące „odseparowanie” świata dzieci i młodzieży („My”) od świata nauczycieli („Oni”).
    The article presents a fragment of diagnostic-correlative research of a mixed character, identifying pupils’ information literacy in the use of ICT methods and tools. Together, 2510 pupils and 1110 teachers were involved. Research Aim: The author aim to answer the question defining the effects of using ICT by children and teenagers (the level of significance of the impact of new media) in the area of shaping creativity and cooperation skills. Research Method: The method of diagnostic survey (questionnaire and interview) and statistical methods (chi-square test of independence and Pearson's correlation coefficient) were used. Results: It was established that: 1) according to the aggregate hierarchy of importance of ICT interactions, the development of creativity and cooperation was given a great deal of importance by students (second place), and a high importance (third place) by teachers; 2) there is a relationship (correlation: weak negative – r = -0.03) between the students 'opinion and teachers' perceptions as to the effects of using ICT by children and adolescents, manifested by the development of creative attitudes and group work skills; 3) calculations of differentiating factors showed significant statistical differences between the effects of ICT impacts on children and adolescents in terms of the development of creativity and collaboration and the stage of pupils' education. Conclusions: There is a noticeable discrepancy between the opinions of students and teachers, the disturbing “separation” of the world of children and youth (“Us”) from the world of teachers (“Them”).

    Diagnostic and therapeutic competences are necessary for the effectiveness of didactic and educational interventions undertaken by a professional specialist school teacher. In order for the teacher to be able to cope with the tasks assigned by special pedagogy, he must have theoretical and practical preparation in the field of diagnosis and therapy. The future of a special school pupil will depend on his knowledge and skills. The article presents research on declarative sources of teaching knowledge and skills in the field of diagnosis and therapy as well as their selfassessment, taking into account nominal variables (age and job seniority).

    Artykuł jest wybiórczą prezentacją problemów związanych z diagnozą rodziny w kontekście roli asystenta rodziny jako diagnosty. Głównym zadaniem asystenta rodziny jest wspieranie rodziny w realizacji funkcji opiekuńczo-wychowawczej oraz pomoc w podnoszeniu jakości życia rodziny. Jest to możliwe jeśli rozpoznane zostaną potrzeby rodziny w tym obszarze. Autorka opisuje wybiórczo rolę zawodową asystenta rodziny i pokazuje jej wyjątkowe znaczenie w realizowaniu funkcji diagnostycznej. Wskazuje najważniejsze czynniki opisujące funkcjonalność rodziny, zastępując pojęcie zdrowia i patologii rodziny kryteriami jej prawidłowego funkcjonowania. Dokonuje też próby skatalogowania najważniejszych kryteriów diagnostycznych dla oceny jej funkcjonowania, a także wybiórczo wskazuje podstawowe zasady postępowania diagnostycznego. Konstruuje model diagnozy rodziny z uwzględnieniem podstawowych kompetencji diagnostycznych. Wskazuje na konieczność ich włączenia w proces profesjonalizacji zawodu asystenta rodziny.
    The article is a selective presentation of problems related to family diagnosis in the context of the role of a family assistant as a diagnostician. The main task of a family assistant is to support the family in the implementation of the care and educational function and to help improve the quality of family life. This is possible if the needs of the family in this area are recognized. The author selectively describes the professional role of a family assistant and shows its unique importance in the implementation of the diagnostic function. She indicates the most important factors which describe the functionality of the family, replacing the notion of health and pathology of the family with the criteria for its proper functioning. The author also attempts to catalogue the most important diagnostic criteria for the assessment of family functioning and also selectively indicates the basic principles of diagnostic procedure. She constructs a family diagnosis model, taking into account basic diagnostic competences and points out the need to include them in the process of professionalization of the family assistant’s profession.

Ustalono, że: 1) wg zagregowanej hierarchii ważności działań podejmowanych w cyberprzestrzeni,grom komputerowym uczniowie nadali małą wagę (miejsce czwarte), a nauczyciele największąwagę (miejsce pierwsze); 2) istnieje związek (korelacja: przeciętna, dodatnia, pozytywna – r 0,49)pomiędzy opinią uczniów a spostrzeżeniami nauczycieli co do częstości korzystania przez dziecii młodzież z instrumentów ICT w celu grania; 3) obliczenia wykazały istotne różnice statystycznepomiędzy częstością korzystania przez dzieci i młodzież z gier komputerowych a płcią i etapemkształcenia uczniów; 4) zauważalne jest podobieństwo między opinią uczniów a nauczycieli, nieznaczne „odseparowanie” świata dzieci i młodzieży („My”) od świata nauczycieli („Oni”).

It was established that: 1) according to the aggregate hierarchy of importance of activities undertaken in cyberspace, the learners attached little weight (fourth place)when the teachers the greatest (first place) to computer games; 2) there is a relationship (correlation: average, positive – r 0,49) between the learners’ and teachers’ opinions as to the frequency of using ICT instruments by children and adolescents in order to play; 3) the calculationsshowed significant statistical differences between the frequency of using ICT by children and adolescents in the area of computer games and their gender and the stage of education; 4) there isa noticeable similarity between the opinions of the learners and the teachers and an insignificant“separation” of the world of children and youth (“Us”) from the world of teachers (“Them”).
