The article reveals the potential of innovation management in regions on the example of the Lubusz Voivodeship. The aim of the article is to analyse the latest activities and initiatives supporting innovation in the Lubusz Voivodeship. To this end, it was important to identify the natur of the implementation process of innovative solutions, which may be recognized as politicial, i.e.: characterized by top-down initiatives and bottom-up implementation. The method of document analysis was used in the study, including primary and secondary sources. As a results, conclusions and recommendatitons for regional policy to support innovation were drawn. They indicate the need to use the scientific potential of University of Zielona Góra and other scientific and research institutions. They also reveal the need to strengthen the cooperation of the local self-government with the University for the development of innovation and creation of partnership networks in the region.

Aim. The aim of the article is to identify opportunities for religious education in the field of promoting the values of sustainable development. By identifying key concepts, define options for future strategies in the implementation of sustainable development values in school teaching of religious education. Methods. The starting point is the analysis of the current religious education curriculum, which governs the teaching of religious education and is approved by both state and church authority. Based on the analysis, identify strengths and weaknesses and define potential areas within the curriculum where sustainability values can be applied. Results. The values of sustainable development and Christian values are based on a common anthropological platform, which is based on the dignity of the human person. Religious education should also be based on this platform. Conclusion. In order to apply the values of sustainable development, it is necessary to adjust the current curriculum in terms of content and scope of topics. At the same time, it is necessary to innovate in the way of training future teachers. The goal of innovations is the internalization of sustainability values within the value orientation of both teachers and students. Cognitive value. Christian values and the values of sustainable development are not in conflict. The content of the religious education curriculum has the potential to innovate its content to meet the current requirements of the United Nations (UN) agenda as well as the teachings of the Magisterium.

Purpose: On the basis of the obtained research results, an attempt was made to answer the following research question: what actions should be taken within the framework of the main strategic directions adopted in the developed strategy for the internal development of the research project partners, co-creating a network of service providers supporting eco-innovation of SMEs? Design/methodology/approach: In the research process, the authors applied both quantitative and qualitative approaches. The primary quantitative tool was a survey questionnaire, and the qualitative tool was a panel discussion. The evaluation was based on 12 evaluation criteria which relate directly to the established procedures for preparing and implementing the Internal Development Strategy. These criteria have been divided into four groups concerning different stages of strategy implementation: 1) initiating, 2) preparing, 3) implementing, and 4) monitoring. Findings: The article focuses on the evaluation of a comparative strategy for the internal development of Research and Development Institutes providing their eco-innovation services to SMEs, along with other consortium partners, intermediary organizations and companies, and the Ecolabnet eco-innovation network, also referred to as the Ecolabnet network of eco-innovation services. Research limitations/implications: 1) The great diversity of project partners for whom the internal development strategy was developed. 2) The specificity of the project, as its main objective was to create a cooperation network for the provision of consulting services for the development of eco-products and eco-services for SMEs in the region of the Baltic Sea States. Practical implications: Development of conception of internal development strategy of the project teams. Originality/value: The summarized findings and reflections relate to the international network of eco-innovation service providers in SMEs (Ecolabnet), established under the Interreg Baltic Sea Region program for 2014-2020. The authors of the article co-founded the network as partners of a project consortium on behalf of Czestochowa University of Technology. The consortium consists of eleven partners from six countries in the Baltic Sea region.

The core premises of the concept of smart specialization, its roots, its role in the future Cohesion Policy of the EU and the place it occupies in the legal regulations for the EU financial perspective 2014-2020 constitute a background for the presentation of the efforts undertaken to identify smart specializations for the Polish regions. These efforts served as the basis for producing new relevant strategic documentation. Proposing a fully-fledged evaluation report on the choices made - with the main emphasis on the growth of cohesion and competitiveness of the regions – is most probably a premature step to take. However, the topicality of the issue at hand and the need for the debate on the pros and cons of the conception of smart specialization, along with the best practices in the field and potential challenges and risks encourage the author to discuss – to the widest possible extent – the following issues:– the role of regional and local government in the processes of implementing the strategy of smart specializations;– the supraregional and subregional dimensions of the smart specialization strategy and their connections with the already functioning and newly created clusters;– opportunities for stimulating positive changes in this area, with the use of the EU structural funds as well as other EU financial instruments;– dilemmas and challenges which must be addressed already at the stage of the identification of the leading areas of smart specialization;– claims and suggestions concerning further actions to foster partnership and support integrated regional development.

The aim of the study is to indicate the essence and increasing importance of the ecologization of innovative development in the glocalization of economic processes as well as the potential benefits of eco-innovation for long-term objectives of regions development. The study systematize the knowledge on this topic, and indicate the necessity of their continuous development. The applied methodology is based on an analysis of scientific literature European countries. The research methodology is systematization of approaches to the direction of innovation processes for the development, creation and implementation of innovations in the form of new products, technology, method, form of production organization, etc., which directly or indirectly contributes to reducing the environmentally destructive effects of production and consumption on the environment and solving environmental problems. The authors hypothesis is that the glocalization on the basis of the implementation of environmental innovations will contribute to the sustainable development of the economy of the regions. This is a new way of looking at the region development, i.e. that looks at how ecologization of innovative development should be used for strategic advantage of region and how processes of ecologization of innovative development of the region can be a catalyst for the processes of market glocalization and promote sustainable development of the regional economy.

This article deals with the determination of the stages of development of Ukrainian industries with regard to the factors driving innovation. Based on an analysis of literary sources carried out, the most common indicators of the stages of development of industries have been identified, and it is proposed to classify them into structural, volumetric, dynamic, and innovation ones, given the specificity of the relevant statistical data regarding Ukraine. Calculations have shown that most industries are in a declining phase in terms of the majority of volumetric and innovation criteria. In some industries there are positive trends to intensify the innovation activity of businesses, while the chemical and engineering industries, which have the highest level of technological development, are in a decline phase.

Innowacje społeczne są kwestią zainteresowania wszystkich państw rozwiniętych oraz tych, które dopiero się rozwijają. Władze państwa mają na celu dobro obywateli, dlatego starają się wprowadzać nowe rozwiązania, dzięki którym życie codziennie staje się prostsze. Aby nowe rozwiązanie można było uznać za innowację społeczną musi przejść ono przez wiele etapów i posiadać jej cechy charakterystyczne, które zostaną omówione w poniższym rozdziale. Celem opracowania jest zbadanie poziomu innowacji społecznych wdrażanych w Polsce oraz porównanie ich z innymi krajami. Metodą przeprowadzenia tego badania będzie przegląd literatury oraz analiz wykonanych przez Unię Europejską w tym zakresie. Każde państwo ma inny potencjał w zakresie wdrażania innowacji społecznych i w różnym stopniu go wykorzystuje. Rządzący powinni wspierać działania podmiotów, które wprowadzają takie pomysły, mając na uwadze dobro swojego kraju. W tym celu tworzone są różne programy, które pozwalają na uzyskanie wsparcia finansowego dla podmiotu, który pracuje nad innowacjami. Tworzone są one na poziomie krajowym, ale także ponadnarodowym (Unia Europejska). Przykłady tych programów (krajowych i unijnych) zostaną również opisane w poniższym tekście. Tekst pozwolił na sformułowanie wniosków dotyczących słabego poziomu rozwoju innowacji społecznych w Polsce, a także na ukazanie wielu szans, aby poziom ten znacznie poprawić.
Social innovation gain interest in both developed and developing countries. To increase the well-being of the citizens, policy makers try to introduce new solutions, improving the quality of everyday life. Whether these solutions can be labelled social innovations, they need to undergo certain stages and meet specific criteria, which will be discussed in this chapter. The aim of the chapter is to evaluate the level of social innovation in Poland and to compare it with the levels in other European countries. The method used in this study is a review of literature as well as EU’s analyses in this area. Each country has different potential in terms of introducing social innovations and uses that potential to a different degree. Authorities should support the activities of entities that introduce such ideas, taking the interests of the country into consideration. In order to achieve that, different financial support programs are launched. They are created on a national as well as supranational level (EU). Examples of such programs will be discussed in the chapter. The chapter will allow to formulate conclusions regarding the respectively low level of social innovation in Poland, as well as to present opportunities for enhanced growth in this area.

New technologies that are so penetrating into humanity's reality allow for development in practically all possible areas of life. The world of logistics is particularly interested in innovative solutions that influence m.in. Urban development and improving the lives of local communities. The Smart City concept, based on scientific advances in urban logistics, uses many tools to optimise development. Such tools are the Internet of Things (IoT), which is based on the speed of data transmission and their direct accumulation via the KNX electrical system. Short presentations will also require a 5G network to facilitate the lives of inhabitants of large agglomerations. A good understanding of the subject requires the demonstration of how the pioneers of "Smart City" (Far East, Scandinavian countries) operate. The topic of work also imposes a problem on the local market. It is also necessary to mark the need to invest in order to take full advantage of Smart City solutions.

Objectives of the article were defining factors the role of the services sector in the innovation development in Ukraine and Poland, determining the impact of new trends in behavioral economy on areas of innovative development of service sector in Ukraine and Poland. This sector of economy employs more than half of workers. It produces more than half of gross value added in the country. The author of this paper worked on materials that are tangent to the development of Polish and Ukrainian economy in 2000-2015 years. The author noted that the trend of innovative development have not changed significantly in both countries in service sector. This assumption is based on results of SWOT-analysis, comparative analysis. The article describes the essence of service sector in Ukraine and Poland, presents comparative analysis of global dynamics of innovation index, shows the influence of service sector on innovation development of economy of Ukraine and Poland, define factors of innovative development of enterprise in service sector of Poland and Ukraine. Conclusions and recommendations were made regarding to possibilities of using Polish experience in the innovative development of enterprises in service sector of Ukraine. It was established that the most important mechanism for the development of innovative service sector is establishing a contact between the consumer and the seller. It was established that this contact must be based on culture and high level of education on both sides. It was also established that factors that contribute to the innovative development of service sector in Poland and Ukraine have both common and distinctive features. The development of Poland and Ukraine should be based on activities of domestic enterprises, savings, the use of EU funds and know-hows of other companies in Poland and Ukraine.

Autor artykułu przedstawia zagadnienie dyfuzji innowacji i wiedzy jako źródła zmiany i rozwoju gospodarczego. Charakterystyki i analizy zjawiska dyfuzji skupiają się na jego społeczno-kulturowym i ekonomicznym wymiarze. W pierwszej części opracowania, odwołując się do literatury przedmiotu, ukazano złożoność i wieloaspektowość teoretycznych ujęć procesu dyfuzji innowacji. Następnie scharakteryzowano zjawisko dyfuzji innowacji jako ważnego mechanizmu zmian społecznych i kulturowych. W tak zarysowanych ramach teoretycznych dokonano analizy uwarunkowań, dynamiki i efektywności rozprzestrzeniania się innowacji i wiedzy jako instrumentów przedsiębiorczości i rozwoju gospodarczego. Syntetyczną konkluzję teoretycznych analiz i charakterystyk przedmiotowej problematyki stanowi szkicowo nakreślony schemat powstawania i dyfuzyjnego rozprzestrzeniania się innowacji i wiedzy, który może być użyteczny z punktu widzenia polskich przemian modernizacyjnych oraz przyspieszenia rozwoju gospodarczego, zrównoważonego społecznie i terytorialnie.
The author of the article presents the issue of diffusion of innovation and knowledge as a source of change and economic development. Characteristics and analyses of the phenomenon of diffusion focus on its socio-cultural and economic dimensions. In the first part of the study, referring to the literature on the subject, the complexity and multifaceted nature of the theoretical approaches to the diffusion of innovation process was shown. Next, the phenomenon of diffusion of innovation as an important mechanism of social and cultural changes was characterized. The theoretical framework has been analyzed in such a way as to analyze the conditions, dynamics and effectiveness of the spread of innovation and knowledge as instruments of entrepreneurship and economic development. The synthetic conclusion of the theoretical analyses and characteristics of the subject matter is a sketchy model of the emergence and diffusion of innovation and knowledge, which can be useful from the point of view of Polish modernization changes and the acceleration of economic development, socially and territorially balanced.

Kreatywność studentów to umiejętność tworzenia i zmieniania otaczającej rzeczywistości. Na Uniwersytecie Rzeszowskim jest ona rozwijana w ramach innowacyjnego laboratorium i-Lab2. W artykule opisano założenia organizacyjne i metodologiczne laboratorium oraz przedstawiono wyniki sesji przeprowadzonych ze studentami. Nasze doświadczenia pokazują, że zastosowanie technologii informacyjnych w procesie nauczania przyczynia się do rozwoju innowacyjności i kreatywności uczestników sesji, którzy pracują nad problemem, począwszy od administrowania istniejącymi rozwiązaniami, a skończywszy na dodawaniu czegoś nowego. Sesje w i-Lab2 sprzy-jają pracy w grupach i integracji.
Creativity of students is the ability to create and change the surrounding reality. At the Univer-sity of Rzeszów (Poland), it is being developed as part of the innovative i-Lab2 laboratory. The article describes the organizational and methodological assumptions of the laboratory and presents the results of the sessions carried out with the students. Our experience shows that the use of in-formation technology in the teaching process contributes to the development of innovation and creativity of session participants who work on the problem, from administering existing solutions to adding something new. Sessions in i-Lab2 support group work and integration.

Opis:
Economic corridors (ECs) have become the centre of attention of many planned development initiatives worldwide. Yet no source has been able to provide a clear definition. The definition of economic corridors remains challenged largely due to the multitude of factors determining its genesis and nature, and thus no corridor matches exactly the characteristics of another. Most of the conceptional work analysing economic corridors has been conducted in the context of spatial planning and geography, centred around urban development and potential spill-over effects into peripheral (rural) areas, predominantly linked with ADB-initiated projects in Southeast Asia. Although many studies about Beijing's Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), and especially those concerning the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), have been published in recent years, it will turn out how far these BRI-related analyses will contribute to the conceptualisation and commonly accepted theoretical understanding of ECs. In brief, the paper understands ECs not only as infrastructural measures facilitating transport but rather as a comprehensive development approach to foster industrial capabilities, services, trade and investment. It is therefore expected that the establishment of ECs will be accompanied by crucial social and political impacts. To realise their full potential, economic corridors need to determine their economic, organisational, institutional, behavioural, political, and planning characteristics. Without these characteristics, any 'corridor' cannot be considered 'economic'. Furthermore, it is argued that these characteristics not only describe economic corridors as such but also serve as indicators to measure their feasibility, functionality, effectiveness and efficiency. Based on the existing literature and the author's own observations about ECs in Asia (Focus CPEC), the paper offers a new conceptualisation of ECs based on identified characteristics and indicators for the successful planning and implementation of ECs.(original abstract)

Opis:
The paper examines the channels of entrepreneurship contributing to economic growth. Based on definition of entrepreneurship as an economic activity targeting profits via introducing new products, exploring new markets and introducing new production methods, main methods for measuring entrepreneurship activity will be examined. No single method can fully appropriate as it lacks the full scope of entrepreneurship activity or includes related issues, but the level of development of it activity is linked to the quantity of newly created firms. The empirical study based on that data revealed three main channels through which entrepreneurship makes its contribution to economic growth – innovation, job creation and competitiveness. The main objective of the paper is to deliver factors which underline the link of entrepreneurship to economic growth. The first factor is a trade off between productive and transferring entrepreneurship, and the second on is a trade off between entrepreneurial and employment economic activity.

W artykule podjęto próbę zasygnalizowana problematyki ekonomicznych barier rozwoju rynku elektromobliności w Polsce. Rozważania oparto o analizę dokumentu stworzonego przez Ministerstwo Energii, czyli Programu Rozwoju Elektromobliności w Polsce. Celem artykułu jest zasygnalizowanie istniejących ograniczeń formalnych i pożądanych perspektywicznych kierunków zmian, co w przyszłości prowadzić może do zweryfikowania obecnie promowanych działań ekonomicznych w zakresie rozwoju rynku elektromobilności w Polsce.
The article attempts to signal the issue of economic barriers to the development of the electromobility market in Poland. The discussion was based on an analysis of a document created by the Ministry of Energy or the Program for the Development of Electromobility in Poland. The aim of the article is to signal the existing formal limitations and desirable prospective directions of changes, which in the future may lead to the verification of currently promoted economics activities in the field of development of the electromobility market in Poland.
