    Opis:
    Eco-design, a new stage in product development, has been gaining in importance for some years already. Against this backdrop, a series of studies was conducted aimed principally to assess environmental maturity of enterprises reflected in considering environmental aspects at early stages of product design when decisions are made, inter alia, as to materials that will be used, production technologies, and product durability. With regard to the above stated goal, the following actions have been recommended as necessary: at the theoretical level, identifying prerequisites against which we can assess the degree of environmental maturity using the reconstruction methodology and subject-matter literature review; at the project level, developing a research tool in the form of an evaluation sheet as a product of the exploration of writings and discussions held by a purposefully selected group of experts; and at the empirical level, identification of the eco-maturity degree of agricultural machinery manufacturers. In the context of the above stated goal, it seems justified to plan the studies based on literature review, expert knowledge, creative discussion, and direct interviews with selected representatives of the industry covered by the research. To managers, these studies having solid theoretical foundations should provide grounds for evaluation and inspire them to build their own eco-design strategies.

    Opis:
    Reliability and return rate prediction of products are traditionally achieved by using stress based standards and/or applying accelerated life tests. But frequently, predicted reliability and return rate values by using these methods differ from the field values. The primary reason for this is that products do not only fail due to the stress factors mentioned in the standards and/or used in accelerated life tests. There are additional failure factors, such as ESD, thermal shocks, voltage dips, interruptions and variations, quality factors, etc. These factors should also be considered in some way when predictions are made during the R&D phase. Therefore, a method should be used which considers such factors, thus increasing the accuracy of the reliability and return rate prediction. In this paper, we developed a parameter, which we call Robustness Level Factor, to incorporate such factors, and then we combined this parameter with traditional reliability prediction methods. Specifically, the approach takes into account qualitative reliability tests performed during the R&D stage and combines them with life tests by using Artificial Neural Networks (ANN). As a result, the approach gives more accurate predictions compared with traditional prediction methods. With this prediction model, we believe that analysts can determine the reliability and return rate of their products more accurately.
    Niezawodność i wskaźniki zwrotów towaru przewiduje się tradycyjnie przy użyciu norm obciążeniowych i/lub stosując przyspieszone badania trwałości. Jednakże, często wartości niezawodności i wskaźnika zwrotów przewidywane za pomocą tych metod różnią się od ich wartości rzeczywistych. Główną tego przyczyną jest fakt, że produkty nie ulegają awarii wyłącznie pod wpływem czynników obciążeniowych wymienianych w normach i/lub wykorzystywanych w przyspieszonych badaniach trwałości. Istnieją dodatkowe czynniki wpływające na intensywność uszkodzeń, takie jak wyładowania elektrostatyczne, wstrząsy termiczne, spadki, przerwy w dostawie i zmiany napięcia, czynniki jakościowe, itp. Te czynniki także powinny być w jakiś sposób uwzględnione przy dokonywaniu predykcji na etapie badań i rozwoju (R&D). Dlatego też zwiększenie trafności predykcji niezawodności i wskaźników zwrotów towaru wymaga metody, która uwzględniałaby tego typu czynniki. W niniejszej pracy opracowaliśmy parametr, nazwany przez nas "czynnikiem poziomu odporności", który pozwala na uwzględnienie takich czynników, a następnie wykorzystaliśmy ów parametr w połączeniu z tradycyjnymi metodami przewidywania niezawodności. W szczególności, przedstawione podejście bierze pod uwagę jakościowe badania niezawodnościowe wykonywane na etapie R&D łącząc je z badaniami trwałościowymi przy użyciu sztucznych sieci neuronowych ANN. Dzięki temu, w podejściu tym uzyskuje się bardziej trafne predykcje niż w tradycyjnych metodach prognozowania. Jesteśmy przekonani, że użycie powyższego modelu predykcyjnego umożliwi analitykom bardziej trafne wyznaczanie niezawodności oraz wskaźników zwrotów wytwarzanych przez nich produktów.

    Maturity models are a kind of compendium of knowledge from a given field and a guide for managers translating knowledge into concrete actions which aim is to change and improve an organization. They describe the evolutionary development path which enables an organization to move from the state of inconsistent, short-term business actions to the arranged, monitored and managed ones. The article presents and compares two procedures of maturity models designing and design principles, that is criteria which a maturity model should correspond to as a result of designing, helping potential users in comparing and assessing of existing models. The aim of the article is the assessment of EFQM excellence model as to meeting the criteria of usefulness and application included in design priniples. EFQM excellence model is an example of a well designed prescriptive model which sufficiently covers the most important usefulness criteria.

    Opis:
    Human life has become much more complicated since living in the twenty-first century. At times, it is impossible to cope on one’s own. Therefore, various assistance and intervention efforts are gaining importance in this difficult post-modern reality. One of them is lifelong vocational guidance. The new model of human life however, has sparked the need to develop new models in guidance, too. A number of researchers from various fields of science took this certainly difficult challenge. The first modern theories of vocational guidance of M. Savickas and J. Guichard appeared at the beginning of the twenty-first century and are based on the “Life Design” model. Nevertheless, there are doubts whether they can be applied to school youth.
    Współczesna rzeczywistość skomplikowała życie człowieka. Nie w każdej sytuacji jest on w stanie samodzielnie sobie poradzić. W trudnej postmodernistycznej rzeczywistości XXI wieku na znaczeniu zyskują więc różne działania pomocowe i interwencyjne. Zalicza się do nich m.in. całożyciowe poradnictwo kariery. Nowy model życia człowieka spowodował jednak potrzebę wypracowania nowych modeli, również w poradnictwie. Tego z pewnością niełatwego wyzwania podejmuje się wielu badaczy wywodzących się z różnych dziedzin nauki. Pierwsze nowoczesne teorie poradnictwa kariery M. Savickasa i J. Guicharda zostały wypracowane na początku XXI wieku i opierają się na modelu konstrukcji życia Life Design. Pojawiają się jednak wątpliwości, czy mogą być wykorzystane w pracy z młodzieżą szkolną.

    The considerations conducted in this work are aimed at identifying the design environmental maturity of enterprises producing parts and components of technical means of agricultural transport. So far, both in Poland and abroad, no comprehensive research (based on a detailed analysis of the problem) has been undertaken on design maturity, defined through the prism of environmental dimensions, in relation to Polish producers of the agricultural machinery sector. In order to fill the existing gap in knowledge, a series of studies was undertaken to identify whether the surveyed enterprises are design-oriented, taking into account, in addition to traditional postulates (economics, society), also environmental postulates reflecting their eco-maturity. Given the empirical evidence confirming the existence of a strong relationship between a company’s market success and sustainable management throughout the product life cycle, the following line of research aggregates them into desirable ones.

    W funkcjonowaniu nowoczesnych, ekspansywnych gospodarek coraz większą rolę odgrywają usługi stanowiące kluczowe źródło dochodów budżetu. O jakości usług decyduje w zasadniczym stopniu udział innowacyjnych rozwiązań, w tym zaawansowanych technologii mechatronicznych, teleinformacyjnych i ekologicznych. Zgodnie z podejściem systemowym proces projektowania usługi ma charakter interdyscyplinarny i wymaga zastosowania odpowiednich metod modelowania, weryfikacji i oceny na kolejnych jego etapach, od opracowania koncepcji do wdrożenia. W artykule zaprezentowano opracowaną metodę oceny stopnia dojrzałości wdrożeniowej usług ukierunkowanych głównie na obszary przedsięwzięć badawczo-rozwojowych, technologii przemysłowych i technologii teleinformatycznych. W systemie oceny wykorzystywany jest algorytm identyfikacji zaawansowania rozwiązania, przeprowadzany na kolejnych poziomach. Otwarta struktura systemu umożliwia modyfikację zestawu kryteriów oceny na kolejnych poziomach oraz rozszerzanie bazy kategorii usług.
    In contemporary developing and expansive economies, the role and importance of services is significantly growing as they constitute one of the key income sources for the national budget. What decides on the quality of services is, to great extent, the level of contribution of innovative solutions, i.e. advanced mechatronic technologies, information and communication technologies, and environmental technologies. According to the systems approach, the services, the services design process is of interdisciplinary nature and requires appropriate modelling, verification and assessment methods to be applied at its consecutive stages, from the very idea to practical implementation. The article presents the developed method of implementation maturity assessment of service aiming particularly at R&D undertakings, industrial technologies and information and communication technologies. The algorithm for the identification of the advancement of the solution applying to the consecutive stages of the assessment is used in the original assessment system. The open structure of the system enables modification of the set of assessment criteria on consecutive levels of the assessment and also allows to expand the services category database.
